Episode 69 - Ben Cathro // Retiring from racing & coming back, creating high-quality content, finding love in the sport and banning skin-suits..

On this episode of the podcast, I sit down with one of Mountain Biking's favorite characters, Ben Cathro!

The Scots man started out like most racers, chasing his dream of becoming a professional World Cup racer back in 2006, with a hand full of top 20s and a few top 10s he seemed like he was well on his way to becoming a top-level rider, unfortunately though this dream never became a reality and he decided to pack it up in 2012.

After getting into coaching for some years he decided to come back as a race analyst with 'Cathro vision' this boosted his profile and made him a household name at the World Cups.

After doing this for a while he decided to make his bike return as part of the Pinkbike racing team, while doing this though he still wanted to continue to produce high-end content along the way.

With unfortunate injuries and setbacks along the way it has been no easy feat for Ben to get back into the racing scene, he has however found more love in being able to create high-quality videos full of information for the fans now.

All and all, Ben is a valuable asset to the sport and someone I really enjoy chatting with.
