One of the most fascinating battles when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein's associates and Congress and the survivors is most assuredly Leon Black. And the fact that Leon Black has been able to set the terms for what he's doing and what he wants to do it is just bananas. Imagine you walked into Congress and acted the way Leon Black did. How do you think that would have worked out?

2:04But Leon Black, he gets to do whatever he wants pretty much. Now of course they've threatened to subpoena and they've hit him with one. But what are they going to do when he shows up to Congress and tells them basically to tell their story walking? Are they going to charge them with contempt? Are they going to arrest them? We all know the answer to that. And that's why I say all the time that all of this nonsense that we see is performative. It doesn't have any real teeth and the people that are being called before Congress, they don't fear repercussions if they're not truthful. And that's because Congress has shown that they're limp and they're not going to do anything when people walk all over them. And that's certainly what Leon Black has been doing. Well now some Epstein survivors have banded together to call on Leon Black to cooperate with the House panel and give Congress the full story. 3:08and the request made by the Epstein survivors. This article was authored by Marina Dunbar. More than a dozen survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's abuse have called on the billionaire Leon Black to appear before the House oversight committee in order to clarify his connections to the late disgraced finance here and convicted sex offender. Look Leon Black knows that he is deep in it. And if it wasn't for his power, his wealth, his reach, this man would have been cooked a long time ago. But the thing is, Leon Black is a very powerful guy. And I know people don't want to hear that, but it's the truth. I mean, we're talking about the man that started a pablo global. He has a lot of friends in a lot of high places. And I know that Congress is talking tough, and I know that they're saying that, you know, there's going to be penalties for Leon Black. But I'll believe it when I see it. And look, if we do get to a point where he's, you know,

4:09called out for his bullshit in a meaningful way, and there's some repercussions, I'll be the first one to show back up and say, look, I was wrong. Congress handled their business. Kudos to them. Unfortunately, history has shown us that that's not the reality of things. And that if we're waiting for Congress to step in and be the heroes, we're going to be waiting for a very, very long time. More than a dozen survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's abuse have called on the billionaire Leon Black to appear before the House Oversight Committee in order to clarify his connection to the late disgraced finance ear and convicted sex offender. In a letter released on Wednesday, the survivors urged Black to comply with the congressional subpoenas ahead of Thursday's deposition before the House Oversight Committee. Look, I just don't believe that Leon Black's going to do the right thing. He's going to show up with Susan Estrich, the rest of those lawyers, and they're going to run interference. Everything's going to be a challenge. Everything's going to be a fight. It's going to be theater is really what it's going to turn into.

5:11And maybe that's always been the goal. I mean, what is the committee done? Has anybody been indicted? Is there any sweeping investigations that we know about? Now, look, maybe they have something going on behind the scenes, but I highly doubt it. This day and age, you don't think there'd be a leak. Somebody talking about what's going on. And until Congress holds somebody accountable, then this is all performative. We are survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and Glenn Maxwell's abuse and exploitation. And we're calling on Leon Black to appear as required before the House Oversight Committee on Thursday. The statement said, we are also calling on Black to fully comply with the committee's subpoenas, including its demand that he produced all responsive non-disclosure agreements in his possession. And is there anything unfair about what they're calling for? Nobody's asking Leon Black for anything that goes above and beyond his connections to Epstein. See, the problem is his connections to Epstein

6:15are the most problematic. And that's why he doesn't want to turn that information over. That's why he doesn't want to be forthcoming. And that's why he continues to play games. Black, the New York private equity investor, paid Epstein tens of millions of dollars in fees during work. He has described his tax and estate planning services. He's already faced accusations of purposely delaying and disrupting the panel's inquiry. Well, yeah, he has. This man has been non-compliant. He's been obtuse. And he refuses to do what Congress tells him to do. And I don't understand how that doesn't make people more agitated, more angry. Considering you have a whole last different set of rules that you're expected to abide by. So if I'm expected to abide by some set of rules, then I expect Leon Black to have the same kind of obligations that any of us would have. The letter further stated that Black's use of NDAs underscores why Congress must scrutinize the agreements in his possession and determine whether they shed light on his

7:19relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and others in Epstein's orbit. If Black continues to withhold responsive records or refuses to comply with the committee's demands, Congress should use every tool available to enforce its subpoenas. Yes, they should. The question is, will they? Like, is this a fight that Congress really wants? Or is it just something that they're making pretend they care about? Because I would think that with everything we know about Leon Black, couldn't you just refer him to the Justice Department and then say, hey, look, the Justice Department has decided they don't want to go after him. We did our job, we referred him. But baby Billy Blanche and Donald Trump, they have other ideas, you know, been Black's part of the administration, et cetera, et cetera. But if I'm in Congress, I'm referring this dude, and that's it. I think there's enough here for an investigation and then whatever the investigation finds, great, as long as it's a real investigation and it's robust. I'm more than willing to live

8:23with the results of the investigation. That's how confident I am that there's a whole ton of malfeasance here. Now, if it went the other way and they had a transparent process and we were all, you know, able to see what's going on, at least, you know, to a certain point and it all ended up being overblown, then I'd certainly accept those results. Last week, the Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer threatened the

11:31whole black-in contempt if he fails to fully cooperate with the panel's investigation into Epstein. Black had not yet confirmed his appearance before the committee as of Tuesday, a person familiar with the matter had told the Guardian, imagine just ghosting Congress? Yeah, sure, I might show up, I might not though, I got other things to do. You know, I got a meeting and we got some bales and locks to eat and then we're going to talk about artwork and then, you know, maybe just maybe I can carve out a little bit of time to go and speak to Congress. I mean, what are we doing here? Like, what the fuck are we doing? Who's in charge? Congress or bich-assly on black? Looks like Leon Black. And like usual Congress, looks limbristed and useless. In a previous statement before the Oversight Committee in June, Black denied knowledge of Epstein's crimes, writing, I did not know about this in the various activity until Epstein was charged with trafficking in July of 2019. Oh no, I had no idea. No clue whatsoever. How could I know? The great

12:34mysterious Leon Black. Mr. smartest man in the history of smart men. Unless it comes to Jeffrey Epstein, then I'm just a big dumb fuck, right? Give me a break. I'm so tired of these people in their nonsense. And I'm really tired of Congress, letting these people get away with said nonsense. Here's an idea, step the fuck up. Do the right thing, just once. Epstein had pleaded guilty in 2008 to stay charges relating to prostitution, involving a minor. But that's no big deal. She was 17, right? Forget about the other 45 girls. And to the dumb flux in the back of the room, don't you see that this was done on purpose instead of using the complaints of the girls that were 14 and 15? They decided that the only allegation they're going to use, the only charge he's going to get hit with is from a girl that 17. Ask yourself why they did that, especially now with hindsight as your guide. Look at how beneficial that was to

13:36Jeffrey Epstein and his buddies. Look at the narrative that they're building now. Do you really think they didn't know that back then? They insert this bomb here and it becomes the narrative. Rinsen fucking repeat and the fact that people still keep falling for it is crazy to me. I don't know how anyone can be honest and say they looked at this case. And that there was a robust investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and his criminal enterprise. Because that just isn't the case. In a speech from the House floor this week, Thomas Massey, the Kentucky Republican, who recently lost his primary to a challenger backed by Donald Trump, read aloud the names of several friends and associates of Epstein, including Black. Massey called on the Department of Justice to investigate the group of men and women, whom the representatives refer to as perpetrators of Epstein's crimes. Massey also emphasized that despite the fact that it has been nearly a year since Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, millions of the Epstein Files remain unreleased.

14:39And that is not what the act called for. Oh, it's duplicative. They have to do with national security. What the fuck does a lone predator whose dittling kids have to do with national security? Because remember, that's what they told us he was. So if that's the case, shouldn't be a big deal, right? Was John Wayne Gacy a national security threat? How about, oh, I don't know, Jeffrey Dahmer. How about Israel keys? Of course, the answer is no to all of them. But when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein, we have national security interests that have to be looked after. What does that even mean? Can somebody please explain that? I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Jeffrey Epstein was working as a middleman in the world of intelligence, right? No, nothing to do with that. So look, is Leon Black going to appear today? That's certainly the question. And when we have the answer, we'll get it added to the catalog.
