I welcome to the Harmony Channel. I'm Jason Whitlock. Thank you for joining me.
I'll be joined today by Shemika Michelle.
We're going to discuss two topics.
President Donald Trump has appointed Erica Kirk to the,
let's say the Air Force Academy Advisory Board.
Say job with the Department of Defense.
She's replacing her late husband, Charlie Kirk.
He had the job previously.
I'm going to get myself in all kinds of trouble by just calling
feminism, whether it's conservative or liberal.
It all does the same thing. It diminishes.
It diminishes male patriarchal leadership and it puts women in positions
oftentimes where they absolutely do not belong.
I know I'm not supposed to say that I'm not supposed to
hold Erica Kirk to any sort of standard,
but I have to. She's the CEO of one of the most powerful political organizations
in America. She is being used and or positioned
as a replacement for Charlie Kirk and this is what Charlie would have wanted
is what we're being told. I'm not so sure.
And I'm not sure if I care about what Charlie Kirk would have wanted
and that is not said in a disrespectful way towards
Charlie Kirk. It's just like, hey man, what we want
and what's the right thing to do sometimes or at odds with each other.
And perhaps they are here running around pretending that Erica Kirk
or any woman can do the exact same thing as Charlie Kirk.
Just doesn't make sense to me. So we'll talk about that.
We should make a Michelle and we'll talk about a disturbing video
that I saw over X, a young black kid beating up a young white kid
who's just sitting there and taking the beating
while the young black kid is saying, don't you ever talk about my mother
and blah, blah. And it just gets to my overall point
about and within black culture, there is this
worship of mother that legalizes, hey, if you say something about my mama,
I have the right to beat you to within an inch of your life. I have a right to turn
violent. It's just a dumb, stupid,
standard. So, Shemika Michelle,
welcome into the show. Shemika, I'm
not a fan of Erica Kirk's expanding power and expanding role
as the replacement cut out for Charlie Kirk.
Look, I think this board meets three or four times a year.
I think there's 16 members on the board.
When I read this, I was like, what are we doing here?
What's President Trump doing here? What was your reaction?
Jason, I thought it was absolutely ridiculous. I think it's silly
unless she was always being positioned for power.
The only way I think this makes sense is if
that was actually her in the O CIA video, that was actually her at the meeting
at Fort White Chica. I think that's the only way it makes sense to me is if
maybe she did know Jeffrey Epstein. Maybe she did know Donald Trump before we
were told that she ever met him. Maybe what we've heard about her family
and their dealings is true. And so, that's the only way it makes sense to me.
I don't care if they only met once a year.
There's no way that a housewife who's raising two small children
is ready or should be in this type of position.
It's just absolutely ridiculous.
Or maybe Trump is smarter than I'm giving him credit for.
Maybe this is his way of saying, yeah, she has a little bit more of an inside
dealing than you all thought. I'm just starting to think this host
submissive, docile, sweet, Christian wife was just a fake.
And so people will hear that and people will see me and you talking about this.
They'll see the thumbnail, the show title, and just instantly go to
Candace Owens. And my thoughts have nothing to do with Candace Owens.
In terms of you watch this show, there's a certain style of male
patriotic leadership that I have been promoting on this show
for five years. Long before I ever knew even Erica Kirk existed.
Because for a long time, I knew Charlie Kirk was married or heard about
he was married. But I didn't know who his wife was, don't know anything about him.
Certainly wasn't thinking about Charlie Kirk getting assassinated.
And this opinion that I'm expressing, whether Candace Owens was doing her
podcast or not, I would be saying these things. It's
consistent with my values. The part of me is almost,
it's crossed my mind. I don't believe this. But it's just like,
is Candace Owens, this is not what I believe, but it just crossed my mind.
Because you get so paranoid, you're trying to figure things out, like what's
really going on here. But like, is Candace Owens doing her podcast
as a way of creating sympathy for Erica Kirk and helping to make her
more bulletproof towards criticism? Because I think many people
are basing their opinions as it relates to Erica, anything she does.
Well, I must defend it because I hate Candace Owens and I cannot
acknowledge that, hey, look, Candace may have said some things that I disagree
with. Candace may be too speculative. Candace's tone may not be right.
But man, Candace Owens is saying some interesting things that are
somewhat based in truth. But no one can say that because it's just like,
I have to choose sides. I hate Candace Owens and therefore I can't
evaluate anything that Erica Kirk's doing from an objective point of view.
I did see yesterday, Shamika, that Jenna Ellis, I don't know if you follow Jenna or
know her. But she even said, like, hey, man,
you know, I like Erica Kirk, but this makes no sense. Why is she hitting this job
at the Department of Defense? And so I just think like Candace inadvertently
is acting as a heat shield protecting Erica Kirk from legitimate scrutiny. Is that crazy?
Ryan Reynolds here from Int Mobile. I don't know if you knew this, but anyone can get the same
premium wireless for $15 a month plan that I've been enjoying. It's not just for celebrities,
so do like I did and have one of your assistance assistance switch you to Mint Mobile today.
I'm told it's super easy to do at MintMobile.com slash switch.
Up front payment of $45 for three month plan, equivalent to $15 per month required.
Intro rate first three months only, then full price plan options available,
taxes and fees extra, fee full terms at MintMobile.com.
Yeah, I'm not seeing her act as a heat shield simply because I think I'm seeing so many people
saying, wait, something is just not right with this. And they've been saying it for a very long
time. And I think that without number or the people that I've been seeing calling Candace a demon
or, you know, I'm just seeing so many people saying, hey, wait a minute. And maybe some of them
are on the left, but TikTok has exploded with people just really questioning Erica Kirk's motives.
And so I don't know if she is providing some type of heat shield. I don't think it's working.
And I think this whole appointment just made people say, wait a minute, because I think even
Jenna was on the other side just a couple of days ago, where she felt like, oh, Erica should be
the CEO. Why are we questioning that? But I think this was a bridge too far for a lot of people.
And I'm like you, even if Candace hadn't said anything, ask someone who raised three children,
who even just trying to help my husband at the time with his business from the home. It was a lot.
And you're having to raise children, teach them the things that they need to know,
cook dinner, clean the house. It was a lot. And so I'm frustrated with conservatives who have just
tossed all their values out of the window because they like Erica Kirk. And we know that they're
full of hypocrisy. We watch them do the same thing with Nick Cannon and Elon Musk. Nick Cannon was
having all of these kids spread everywhere that you can't take care of. And you're going to be,
you know, a deadbeat dad. But when Elon has all of these children and he's not in the home,
all of a sudden it's fine. So I've watched them in a matter of six months go from women should be
traditional. Take your kids out of public school, homeschool your children. If you can, you should
be in the house to all of a sudden. I am seeing so many women just hop on the boss bay train. You know,
I've even seen some of them coming to you like him. Classic saying she can do both women,
even on the conservative side are really feminist, even though they pretend not to be. They think
that you can stand toe to toe with me and be in men's circles and only pull the woman cart when
it's convenient. And so it's been frustrating for me. I'm just like, y'all don't even believe
what you claim to believe because there's no way you could watch this woman go from taking care
of two small children. As you said, being unheard of, I had no idea who Charlie's wife was
took now the CEO and then this latest appointment. It's ridiculous. What do you say? And it's an
obvious response. But I'll throw you the softball and ask, what do you say to the people like,
hey man, she's got millions of dollars. She's got nannies. She's got all the help. She's got
grandparents. She's got her family. She's got his family that, you know, hey, they'll be just
fine. You know, this isn't a typical deal. She's got staffers that can help and look she has said
she takes the kids to the office. And you know, it's it. What do you say to those people?
You know, I think there are a lot of people who have that type of people, you know, that type of
help or village around whether it's a daycare worker or a grandmother or somebody at church
or a neighbor. It's still not her. I think the mother still needs to be there. And since she has
all of this money, since we know that people donated money for her well-being, that is all the
more reason to sit home. This whole idea that I now have to be the sole provider is some foolishness.
You don't have to get out here and work 40 hours a week because you need to eat or put a
roof over your children's head. Charlie had good life insurance. We already know that he left
her well. All people donated money. There is no need for her to be acting as if she's now the sole
provider and her children are going to go hungry or homeless if she's not out here working.
That's just silly. Most people with common sense didn't buy that. She was in a position to
sit at home and take some time to grieve and to help her children through this and she chose not to.
What do you say to the she's honoring Charlie's legacy and Trump is honoring Charlie's legacy?
There are people that I respect, Jack Pasobe. Pasobe. He put out a tweet yesterday defending this.
This is what Charlie should be able to see. The Charlie's vision is carried out. I just
I don't get it. But what do you say to those people that she's honoring his legacy?
They're hypocrites because Charlie's legacy is his children. As I think I've seen you state
and say his legacy is his children and there's no way this man would just switch up after sitting
across from her and even telling her the situation of her father being at a stay-at-home
dad for a short period of time was he said it was pretty much not the way it was supposed to be.
Now all of a sudden we're thinking this man would have changed simply because he was dead
that he didn't wouldn't want his wife actually at home taking care of the kids. I just don't buy it.
It shows how again conservatives are big hypocrites depending on who the person is. They will change
what they've claimed to believe for years and it's why you can't you just you can't buy anything
coming out of their mouths because they just aren't sincere. They will say anything for a dollar
and anything to be in the right spaces or the spaces they believe with the right people.
I don't think Charlie would want his wife working like a dog and having his children
dragged to the office. I don't think that this man from what I saw every time he said it the table
every time he spoke he seemed to be very consistent in his idea of what family was,
how families should look, how families should behave and this is inconsistent with what we knew
Charlie to be. The other place where my mind goes is me personally sports guy that has done a lot
of looking into Stephen A Smith's background and exposing like the fraudulent of Stephen A Smith
background and that's the part that really troubles me as I see a pattern here of people getting
placed in positions unqualified. I've seen people this is what's like analogous to me is like
I've seen people that think and know all the same things I know about Stephen A Smith like this
is a joke. This guy barely knows sports he's not good at this and they've installed him at the top
and I've seen people that believe this and know this that have gone stone silent on Stephen A Smith
he's 20 million dollars a year he works at ESPN he's being thrown out here is the face of sports media
while dabbling and spending just as much time talking politics there are people that know this is a
joke that never say anything and that's where I'm like I go back to cat Williams and that interview
with Shannon Sharp where he said man any of these people in high positions they're installed
and they have shady backgrounds and so I could like I don't know if you remember the cat Williams
but they're like hey man Steve Harvey and these guys have been stealing jokes and lying about their
history taking other people's history and saying it's theirs and I see this thing is all connected
holy cow if you get a position of influence and importance you've been installed
this is why I say it makes absolutely no sense unless this was always the plan unless she was always
going to be in some type of position of power it just doesn't make sense I would have thought
maybe if this hadn't happened this appointment hadn't happened maybe I was being a little harsh on her
maybe I could be a bit more empathetic after this happened I'm fully convinced that the woman that
we thought she was just wasn't real it was all an act it was all a show because how can we make
sense of this other than this is the way it was supposed to be I just don't think you go from being
a housewife to being a boss babe you see that even with me how I am not as assertive or aggressive
as I maybe could be or maybe other women would be in this position because that's just not who I am
so I just don't think you go from being this submissive stay at home take care of the children
take care of my husband to all of a sudden being a boss babe unless it's there unless that was your
intentions all along because that's the only way I can make sense of this I don't want to hear
she's honoring Charlie's legacy how if she's not prepared or have any experience in this role
it just doesn't make sense and the people sitting quiet just don't want to say that
because for the last six months they've told us oh this is a grieving widow and people grieve
differently and she's doing what Charlie wanted and a lot of them are going to have a hard time
saying hmm maybe I jumped the gun maybe some of the other things that have been floating out here
are true and I just didn't want to buy it because you put yourself in that situation and you know
you would be grieving you would just be wanting to honor your husband and do what he would want you
to do and so you are oblivious to someone thinking otherwise but I think a lot of people are going
to sit quiet simply because they know something isn't right but they jumped the gun way too early
and was very defensive and I hate Candice Owens but they see this just doesn't make sense there's
no way people can make a transition us into a different topic I want to play you this video of a
black kid brutalizing a white kid and it makes me think about worship of black mothers and all that
and just what are we doing to these young boys I'm going to play this clip I want you to respond
first because I'm going to the bathroom and I'll be right back I'm not playing too well I'm a
and the next time I ever hear you say something about my mom kill y'all like watch out
I'm talking about my mom
all right my bad girl no
don't ever talk about my mom again
all right I'm sorry that's my mom but you get it
I love my mom I'm all fucking mom bro
I'm worried
I swear
I hate my mom bro you want to play on me
the next time I ever say something I'm a bitch or f**king bad you get to
I'm going to bleed to death
go f**king f**king f**king
what's the f**king cap
go
this is absolutely disgusting to watch but this has been happening for a long time
I can remember being in great school and we would have this little thing
where you would put a pencil on your shoulder or something and say I bet you won't not my mom
off her bed you know just silly things and it's frustrating to watch these young kids
act this out because we don't even know what the little boy said he could have said I think
your mother is pretty and this little black boy just got all upset and offended because
this is his mother and I do think it comes from a situation of we just worship women so much
I just recently had this conversation where men are feeling like they need to apologize
even for saying positive things to women oh I'm so sorry I think you're very attractive
I apologize if this offended you we don't know what this little white boy said
but here we have this black boy taking any little bit of thing to justify violence
because this is what we're teaching kids in school white people are inherently evil no matter
what they say you have to take offense to it and this black boy is justifying violence because of that
it's tragic the video nearly brought me to tears just won the brutality of it and then thinking
how did we get here and I know exactly how we got here because things are talking about
we are teaching racism at home we're teaching it in the culture we're teaching it at church
because anytime you're hey I'm a victim I'm a victim I'm a victim of white supremacy anytime
that you're overriding message you're telling a person you have a right to exact revenge that
person owes you something anything they do to you is harmful and negative this is being taught in
the home in the culture in schools in the church everywhere and no one standing up against it
if we had seen this video and it was a white boy brutalizing a black child while white children
giggled and laughed President of the United States Obama Biden they would be speaking out
against this and saying there's a sickness and an evilness and there's a white supremacy that's
pervasive in America and the parents should be arrested and questioned how could they raise their
children to do this this is the kind of bigotry we must put a stop to but on this there's nothing
it's embarrassing I'll give you the final thought and we'll wrap the show you know I heard some years
ago a white lady say black people don't want to be equal they want to be masters now and they want
slaves and the more time goes on I'm starting to think they hate white people so much because of
their ancestors or because of history that they don't want to be equal because we are in fact equal
now there's no law saying that we aren't yet they're still so angry still so mad still want white
people to bend and beg and kiss their shoes we've seen all of these silly type videos because
they don't want to be equal they want to be in charge now and and it's clear.
Shemika thank you so much great job as always thank you guys for watching we'll see you next time
how did we end up so divided stop by the ninsent home we used to be a nation one united now we're
hit it for down for
Fearless with Jason Whitlock
