Andrew Tate is hit with a fresh charge and the Commissioner of the WNBA announces she'll be stepping down. I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire Executive Editor John Bickley. It's Friday, September 4th, and this is Evening Wire. Despite a last minute motion from Lindsay Clancy's lawyer, the case has ended in a mistrial. The Supreme Judicial Court in Massachusetts denied the Clancy's team's emergency motion on Friday afternoon. Afterward, Judge William Sullivan ruled Clancy's trial over in a mistrial. Here's that moment. Members of the jury, at this point, I'm going to declare that the jury is deadlocked and I'm going to declare a mistrial.

The jury deadlocked 11 to 1 with the majority of jurors supporting acquittal. Based on feedback, the court received from the jury foreman. Clancy's defense team said one hold out ignored the reasonable doubt standard. Clancy's attorney urged the judge to remove or replace that juror. I would suggest you run to that clearly under the first circuit, while a federal lawyer as well as the argument to the court. Massachusetts law that we have a juror who has, according to the four person, is the only person who is basically holding out so to speak. And unfortunately, they're not holding out based on a good faith issue with the facts or with the law, but they're holding out as a result. That even though they have agreed and expressed doubt, they are refusing to apply the law as you have given it. So I would ask again that you conduct a hearing and understand that you're probably going to deny that. The judge denied the defense's request and the mistrial means that Clancy is neither convicted nor acquitted in the murder of her three children. Clancy remains charged with murder and it's likely that prosecutors will seek to have her tried again.

Republicans fight to retain control of Congress just took a slight hit. On Thursday, the Missouri Supreme Court struck down a map past last year that was expected to give Republicans one more house seat, favoring them with a 7 to 1 split rather than the previous maps 6 to 2 split. The court cited with a leftist group that argued that the new maps needed to be approved via referendum rather than the legislature. The judge said, quote, the referendum petition was legal, sufficient and timely and the secretary incorrectly concluded otherwise. So the old 2022 map remains in full force and effect for this election. The case centered on Missouri's secretary of state not certifying a ballot referendum on the maps approved by the state legislature. The socialism conference kicked off today in Chicago with attendees told to mask up or be removed. According to the conference website attendees are required to wear N95 or K95 masks while in official conference spaces as part of the events COVID-19 precautions.

The sole exception to the rule is conference speakers who may unmask only during their presentations. The conference calls itself an event for socialists and radical activists to study Marxism, decolonization, working class history and other topics favored by the far left. President Trump has named a new acting head of the U.S. Army. The president moved quickly to fill the void left this week with the resignation of Army Secretary Dan Driscoll. His replacement for now is Adam Till, who currently serves as the assistant secretary of the Army for Civil Works. Till previously pulled double duty as Trump's top synately a zondering his first administration. He played a crucial role in pushing through landmark achievements like the Abraham Accords and the launch of the U.S. Space Force. Trump praised his new military chief as a quote, great patriot who is respected by all. War Secretary Pete Hegseth described tell as strong and whip smart and predicts he'll be an immediate asset to America soldiers. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth are investigating whether COVID-19 vaccines contributed to deaths among U.S. service members after the Biden administration required troops to get vaccinated in 2021.

Army Dr. Teresa Long, who Hegseth assigned as Kennedy's senior military medical adviser, told a federal court she's examining over 2,500 reported but unverified deaths in the government's vaccine adverse event reporting system to determine whether they were vaccine related. Long says she hopes to complete the research within a year. The Pentagon discharged nearly 9,000 service members who refused the mandate before Congress ordered the policy to be ended in 2022. And Hegseth has since launched a task force to help those troops return. Andrew Tade has been hit with a new indictment. Cultural reporter Megan Basham has the details. The disgraced alpha male influencer has been charged with human trafficking and money laundering as he's accused of grooming and sexually exploiting a 15 year old girl. That's according to Romanian prosecutors who announced the new indictment today. The new charges from Romania's organized crime agency claim Tate recruited one teenager and subjected her to years of physical aggression, emotional blackmail and forced explicit webcam work between 2012 and 2021.

His brother Tristan has been accused of complicity by allegedly managing the victim's video chat accounts, roughing her up and helping his brother rake in over 1.25 million. Prosecutors say that Tate spent their webcam cash on four luxury rides that authorities are now trying to seize. Attorneys for the brothers called the new indictment a desperate quote, prosecution attempt and pushed for their release on bail. The pair are currently fighting extradition back to the United Kingdom where they face 59 combined charges, including rape, human trafficking and possession of child pornography. Vice President JD Vance gave a stark pitch to voters yesterday on the choice they faced in November. The Democrats have taken the side of fraudsters, of criminals and a far left interest groups over the side of the American people. Let me choose just a few issues, okay? So on fraud. We are trying to take money out of the hands of fraudsters so that people who rely on Medicaid or people rely on food stamp benefits, they're able to get what they need because we've ensured that Americans people's tax dollars actually go where it's supposed to go rather than fraudsters.

Democrats have fought for the fraudsters and Republicans have fought for the people who deserve these benefits and the American taxpayers who are paying those benefits. Do you want to live in a country that has safety and security and prosperity? If the answer is yes, and I think most Americans do, then vote for Congressional Republicans over congressional Democrats on every single issue. As midterms approach, Democrats have the edge in the generic congressional ballot. According to Real Clear, Democrats have a 48 to 42 point lead over the GOP. Real clear also measured Trump's approval about 16 points underwater. The family of a Pennsylvania state trooper killed in a crash involving an illegal immigrant trucker is suing the driver, his employer and the freight broker that hired the trucking company. The suit names Haitian National Michael bond Augustine freight services and SNK logistics as defendants the six count complaint seeks more than $150,000 in wrongful death, survival and punitive damages. It claims that negligence and reckless disregard for federal safety regulations contributed to pariah's death. Bond allegedly struck and killed pariah on the morning of July 1st while the trooper was inspecting a commercial vehicle on the shoulder of interstate 81 in cast township. The lawsuit claims Bond chose to drive the truck while tired and that Augustine freight services knew or should have known he lacked the qualifications training and experience to drive it safely. Embattled WNBA Commissioner Kathy Engelbert will retire at the end of the year after seven years leading the league through rapid expansion and major media deals. But her tenure was also marked by growing criticism from players over handling of social and political issues such as the transgenderism debate around women sports and the 2025 collective bargaining agreement.

Several stars have publicly called for change, including Minnesota links star Nafisa Collier, who said Engelbert demonstrated the quote worst leadership in the world. Indiana fever guards Sophie Cunningham also called for a shakeup recently saying quote with where our league is trying to go. I feel like you just want someone who also wants that. And John Federman has hit his fellow Democrat Abdul El Sayed with a $100,000 double dare. The rogue Democrat Senator offered to put up 50,000 if El Sayed holds a rally with far left streamer Hassan Piker and another 50,000 if you rallies with his radical sister. And then the other stars Federman making the offer on America's newsroom on Fox. I'm encouraging El Sayed, you know, remind everybody in Michigan who you are and the kind of people that you stand with. And I'm offering $50,000 for you to do a rally with Hassan Piker on 9, 11, the anniversary. And you could all explain to people why America would deserve that 25 years ago or or do a rally. That's another 50,000 dollars.

If you do a rally with your sister, you know that she celebrates publicly after the massacre of 10, 7 for that too. These are the people that he aligns with.
