Ex-Badger C.J. Williams Drafted by Jaguars

On April 26, no current Wisconsin Badger heard their name called in the 2026 NFL draft,

but one ex-player made the cut.

Why to receive a CJ?

Williams, who transferred to Stanford last season, got picked up by the Jacksonville

Jaguars at the 200-third overall spot in the sixth round.

Williams exploded this year for the Cardinal as a senior, hauling in 59 passes for 749

yards and six touchdowns.

That blue pass is first three college seasons combined, where he only had 35 catches for

430 yards split between USC and Wisconsin.

Draft experts had impegged as an undrafted free agent, so this was a total shocker.

The Jaguars even grabbed another receiver, Josh Cameron, just 12 picks earlier at number

191.

Now Williams stepped into a stacked Whiteout group in Jacksonville, was guys like

a Kobe Myers, Brian Thomas Jr., Parker Washington, Travis Hunter, and a few more hungry for

reps.

The real test comes this off season.

Can he battle his way onto that 53-man roster and stick around?
