Formula 1's already moving the other way. Their lead in communications has declared it so...that in a decade at most the sport won't only be de-electrified...but V8s would return. Cheaper engines and greater independence from major suppliers. Meanwhile Formula E's becoming faster and more capable of owning the electric side of single-seater racing.
With that in mind, I certainly feel like this could be a huge boost for Formula One...and if the manufacturers don't like it, they can either like it or lump it!
