Falcons Expect Big Year Two from Jalon Walker

The Atlanta Falcons send a big group of scouts to the University of Georgia's pro-day in Athens to check out the next crop of Bulldog talent. Georgia has sent more first round picks to the NFL than any other program since 2020. Last spring, the Falcons finally drafted their first Georgia player ever. Falcons' defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich was in Athens for the event and reflected on Walker's debut season.

Looking ahead, Ulbrich expects a major jump in year two, with Walker taking on more past-reshing duties and showing off his skills off the ball, just. Like he did in college. The Falcons need someone to step up at linebacker after losing Kaden Ellis, a versatile leader who handled the green doc communication role. Ulbrich praised Walker's elite talent and character, predicting he could wear the captain's sea soon. The team won't see him in action until off-season workouts kick off in April, but they're counting on that sophomore surge to boost the defense.
