Falcons Strengthen Defense with Veteran Signings

NFL's story is making news on March 17th.

The Atlanta Falcon signed three veteran defensive players this week to strengthen their

depth.

They brought in defensive ends, Samson Ebbakom and Aziz Ojolari, along with defensive

Lyman Dishon Hand.

These moves target the edge Russia positions especially.

The signings come amid questions about first round draft pick James Perse Jr. Pierce faces

uncertainty after his arrest last month.

He allegedly got into a domestic dispute with WNBA player Rika Jackson before fleeing

police and crashing his car.

Now Perse is dealing with serious charges, including two counts of aggravated battery

with a deadly weapon.

That is left a gap on the Falcon's defense prompting these quick additions.

Ebbakom enters his 10th NFL season with 35 sacks over 127 games.

The former fourth round pick missed last year with a torn Achilles after three seasons

with the Colt.

Meanwhile, Ojolari, a Georgia native played just three games last season for the Eagles due

to a hamstring injury.

Hand had a strong year with 13 starts for the charges building on his experience since

being drafted in 2018.
