Welcome, everybody, to the award-winning Roto Wire Fantasy basketball podcast.
Brought to you by our friends at Sling TV.
It is Friday, March 13th.
Alex Berruthi here with Ken, K-Train Crites.
All aboard.
Friday the 13th.
Who's gonna get injured today in the NBA?
Everyone.
Well, let's jump right into the news, Ken.
Take it away.
Yeah.
Nuggets with a big comeback win over the Spurs last night.
You'll catch with an insane 31.20 rebound.
12 assist five stocks game.
Denver outscored the Spurs 42 to 25 in the fourth quarter.
Alas, there was no Wembee for the Spurs due to an ankle issue.
A triple double also from Stephen Castles to find Castles.
Sorry, 30 points, 11 boards, 10 dimes from Castles.
Fox also had a good game.
But kind of kudos to the non-Wembee Spurs for making this a close match.
But boy, the Nuggets really poured it on.
I mean, maybe they're fixing things.
Boy, it is packed in the Western standings.
Alex, any thoughts on this game?
Yeah, I mean, you said it, you know, without Wembee.
I mean, it's just, you know, they've been okay without Wembee at points,
but he's just one of the most impactful players in the NBA,
especially when the, when the guy on the other side is Nicole Yokic,
like you definitely want Wembee to match up.
It's a little different if you're playing like the Memphis Grizzlies.
Poor Luke Cornett had his hands full.
He took zero shots in 25 minutes.
He was just like, I am so exhausted guarding Joker.
I'm not even going to try to tip in.
Mason Plumley also zero shots for those who wanted to know.
I mean, in this game, you know, Cam Johnson had a good game.
I mean, obviously he's been one of those guys who, you know,
Nick and I just filmed the video yesterday.
Fantasy basketball awards.
And we did some waiting.
Yeah, I forgot the exact name of the award,
but it was just like the person who's inexplicably on roster.
It's all season despite doing nothing.
Just, I think it was the just here for the vibes award.
And it was Cam Johnson that I gave the award to.
There should be some role you're not allowed to podcast unless you're scoring
at least 12 points of game or something.
You know, like it's the board.
All right, guys, can't make it this week.
I'm at 11.9.
I'm not going to be in the like us.
Had an interesting game last last night, Alex.
Yeah, I mean, LeBron returned.
Lucas still scored 51 against the Chicago Bulls,
which is basically equivalent of scoring 37 against a normal basketball team.
51, Tang and nine with nine triples for Luca Doncic.
LeBron had missed three games due to hip and foot issues.
Had a good enough game.
You know, nothing, nothing, there's only so much you can do.
And another one of your teammates post 51, Tang and nine.
Yeah, but yeah, I mean, like you said, the Western Conference has packed.
And LA, Houston, Denver, Minnesota, Phoenix.
They're all fighting for home court, all fighting to avoid the play in.
So I mean, these Western Conference teams are really like every game really matters.
That's just games, only two games separating third place and seventh place.
Yeah, one of those squads, which I think in the past, we'd assume to be Phoenix.
One of those squads is going to have to be in the play in.
Do you think Phoenix is still probably odd team out there?
Who do you like of those five or who do you dislike of those five to get stuck in the play in?
That's an interesting question because the sons have started to play better lately.
You know, they got Booker back.
Yeah, I'm really weird there.
Anyway, Jalen Green playing.
I think they're they're listening.
They have their bomb.
Yeah, Jalen Green and Devon Booker have played really well together.
They've sort of picked things up.
Like they were so bad on defense while some of their guys were out.
Obviously, they still been missing Dylan Brooks.
Yeah, they kind of do feel like they may end up being the odd team out though, but they maybe they passed Minnesota.
Julie's Randall's really struggling as of yeah, as is Nazarina bid for the two of us.
We'll see, we'll see, but it could be anybody's ballgame to three through seven out west.
Another really interesting game and a record breaking game.
SGA, shake you'll just out Exander passes will Chamberlain for most 20 point games in a row.
OKC wore down the Celtics 104 102 in OKC.
Celtics had no Jason Tatum, no Derek White, OKC, no Jalen Williams, no Heart and Stein.
So can't quite call it maybe a finals preview.
Guild just Alexander with his 100 and 27th straight 20 point or more game could not be stopped in the fourth quarter.
Finish with 35 points six boards, nine assists and five stocks on a very nice 13 of 18 shooting.
He he would just fake drive pull up hit a sweet elbow jumper and Boston even Hugo Gonzalez is the best defender couldn't couldn't do much against it.
You good to have a nice game, but but the OKC D their aggressive hands he did just wore down the Celtics.
Celtics were near 50% feel go percentage at the half ended the game shooting 40%.
They'll had 19 in the fourth quarter.
I don't know if you caught any of this, but any thoughts on the OKC Celtics matchup.
I mean, the thing is like other than SGA.
Leading score, Roger J Mitchell with 15.
Yeah, and the thing is like I, you know, Nick and I do the the the tip off preview gambling show on the NBA XM channel.
And I was debating like, what do I, what do I do with this game?
Yeah, heading in like the Celtics have been playing so well.
And you look up like any sort of stats, you know, like, oh, how do a poem its play against the Celtics?
And every single, every single number will tell you teams like point guards and wings just they, they don't have good games against the Celtics.
The South was just locked these guys down and you're just looking at so much.
And you're like, so much of that great perimeter defense is Derek White and he didn't play last night.
And I think he would be, you know, in a finals in hypothetically a possible final scenario white will be on SGA, at least rotating with Gonzalez and maybe a little Walsh.
But that was the real, and then oddly, even though Hardenstein was out, they didn't have home grind the Celtics Biggs couldn't do anything.
And he had a couple game for Kada and actually started Garza in the second half and look like Joe is trying to send a message to Kada that he was upset about his play.
He had some lazy sloppy passes.
But, you know, honestly, just the OKC defense just wore them down.
There was your classic Lou Dork tripping of players bumping, bumping players needlessly.
Every one of us is like Wallace Mitchell, Caruso, Wiggins. They've all got their hands on guys. It's like they're daring the refs to call it close.
It's an interesting tactic. It's like they know the refs don't want to be the center of attention.
But this sort of like we're going to get really handy and you're going to have to decide do you want to call this every time down the floor because we're going to do it every time.
And they kind of say the refs kind of put the whistles in their pockets.
Because honestly, who wants to watch reaching fouls every play, you know, it's, it's an interesting scenario and it kind of makes you think like, well, Dork's going to keep abusing our star players.
When's the team going to similarly get chippy with SGA, right? Like, okay, so some backups going to start tripping.
You'll just sell exam there because it's kind of an obvious tactic.
Yeah, that's more of like a, that feels a little bit more like baseball where they throw at the, they throw at some of those in player who had nothing to do with anything.
Right. Right. SGA is a nice guy, takes his mid-rangeers, but then it's like, well, hey, if Lou Dork, we're not going to take it out on Lou Dork. What's the point?
Right. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. He's like, hey, Bruce Brown, go, go abuse SGA.
Like they're doing the yokets. You know, this is crazy.
We'll see what happens come playoff time, but it was a great game.
Celtics were up and half up after the third quarter, but they couldn't hit the broad side of a bar and come up fourth quarter.
The thunder defense was just suffocating.
Let's go. Let's go get some good health news, kind of.
Yeah, let's say you already mentioned LeBron back played a 33 minutes for the Lakers.
Getty's finally looking healthy for Chicago. He put up a 27.8 rebound 15 assist game Thursday night in that lost to the Lakers.
And that was after two straight triple doubles. So hopefully he's back and playing full time for the bulls.
Christophe's persingus played 20 minutes for the Warriors last night and now has played in two of three for the Warriors.
The Devon Booker has not played in six straight as you mentioned playing well, playing over 33 minutes again.
He put up 43 points versus the wofl Pacers last night.
And do you want to give us the good news out of Indiana?
Aren't you your love for this player?
A Visa Zubatch baby's back.
I'm shocking actually in my opinion.
Although I still a lot of people dropped him and I advised a lot of people to drop him.
I still think that's going to end up being a fine decision because.
He played 16 minutes on his debut.
Is he ever really going to cross 25 minutes, either due to.
I mean blow out.
Tank injury management.
The rest day stuff like that. I think it's going to be more frustrating than anything.
Yeah, yeah, it's going to be a three headed monster off.
Potter and.
Zubatch, I get the feeling there's a mysterious back or something element in Zubatch's rest of season future where they're like.
Yeah.
I mean, what did what did the Pacers really learn?
By putting Zubatch in the starting lineup with Ethan Thompson and Kobe Brown.
We got to work him in with these starters.
I yeah, 100%.
And I think I think for anything in fantasy, it's just going to be like more annoying for Jay Hoff and like a potter because people have been rostering this.
Absolutely.
All right, we'll take us to the what always seems to be growing a bad health news.
Yeah, before I do this, I'll mention.
If you're listening watching live, get your questions in.
We'll answer them in about two or three minutes here.
We always appreciate those.
But yeah, the bad health news, can't you George?
I'll get least two weeks due to a grade two hamstring suffered Wednesday.
Victor, I mean, Yama had the night off, presumably just precautionary rest.
Thursday was the first night of a back to back.
Curry, comma, stuff is going to be out at least 10 more days due to a knee injury.
This is not surprising.
The warriors are essentially just locked in to a play and spot like they can't fall below 10 is just impossible.
So they're going to give him as much rest as possible.
And then Darius Garland out tonight due to the injury management.
He had played in three straights actually looked pretty good.
Yeah.
Memphis, the other night rested, Cedric Howard, Ty Jerome, camp Spencer and Walter Clayton.
And recently had sign Taj Gibson who is 40 years old.
I never a good side when you sign Taj Gibson.
He must have, he must have the same agent as camp Spencer or something.
I'm not really sure why this is happening.
Tyler hero.
Also, this is a great game.
Do a quad injury hero has played in 20 games this season.
But you know, he culture.
It's like the.
Bam out of bio, you know, let him get his.
Geely back up.

Okay, let's go to the start with our first question from David who says, hey boys.
If you had to pick two for these next back to back set of games.
Precious.
Rain all.
Nick Clifford.
Kuzma.
Portis.
For Justin Edwards.
I'm going to leave this up to you, Alex.
I know your love for Kings Bucks.
I think this is just a chew on right now.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think anything else is.
I know Kuzma has been playing better ish, but the audience is going to play in one of those games and Portis had been out.
So yeah, I was just a chewing right now.
Okay.
Very good.
Ten.
Ten team Yahoo League points league.
Would you drop Nick Clifford or Jaros Walker for Wendell Carter will end up plays four games and starts next week with a Monday Tuesday back to back.
I think I wouldn't drop Jaros Walker.
I still think he's he's too much of a tank commander to drop.
I know he like hasn't.
He hasn't been like amazingly, but I still.
He's still someone I would want to hang on to Clifford on the other hand.
Like first of all, I will say on Wendell Carter.
Wendell Carter has been playing better.
He does have a good playoff schedule.
So I don't want to bury the lead there.
Yep.
Cliff, your it's been erratic though, right?
Like I.
He is erratic.
Big things to our sponsor better help for partnering with us for this important conversation about mental health.
This Steve Smith here, former NFL Y receiver and host of the 89 show on YouTube.
So having a counselor and working with better health, that gives you an opportunity to really start to unpack.
But people don't understand when you unpack things.
You also open up a box that you're not always sure what's inside.
So I think that's why seeing a professional is extremely important.

Total Wine and More is one of those places where I always end up finding something I love.
I was in my local Total Wine recently and asked for a recommendation on a bourbon.
And I ended up loving it.
And honestly, the price is make it easy to say yes to grabbing a little extra like my go-to bottle of Cabernet.
If you're not sure what to grab, the team there can really help point you in the right direction.
Shop Total Wine and More, in store or online and get everything you need at the lowest prices.
Spirit's not sold in Virginia and North Carolina, drink responsibly B-21.
The thing is he just started the last seven games for him though.
He scraps it together because he gets his steals and blocks and he just chips in the enough rebounds and assists every other game.
And then you look at the averages and you're like, I guess he's averaging 33 fantasy points.
Somehow, I don't know how this is happening.
Yeah, that's interesting.
I mean, if you feel like you're at real risk of not winning your matchup, maybe take a look at your other at your opponent's team and see how he's doing.
But I don't know.
I think I would have a hard time dropping either of these guys.
Honestly, because as as go as one though Carter is again, he's also someone that we know has been pretty inconsistent.
Yeah, yeah.
Clifford actually playing surprisingly well for his last in his last seven starts there.
Okay, see thunder.
It's kind of hard because you don't know his other options, but fans asking should we drop case on a Wallace for a streaming spot.
12 teamer.
I feel like Wallace is just a streaming option, don't you?
He's a streamer.
Wallace is a streamer.
So yeah, you can go ahead and drop him unless you're like desperate for steals.
That's the only case.
Exactly.
I was just going to say that.
Okay.
Keon Ellis.
But I love this move by Cleveland getting Keon Ellis because of course the Kings need to get rid of any kind of young aspiring talent.
It gets a rose in more minutes.
Thoughts on is would you know another case on a Wallace reference.
I like Ellis over walls, but what do you think?
Yes, it's a question from the same.
Same gentleman.
I would do this.
Yeah.
I mean, is he is he better than case and Wallace in fantasy?
It's pretty close.
I mean, the thing Ellis has an advantage in is that he also block shots.
Yeah.
I'm going to the best shot blocking guards not named Derek White in the NBA.
I'd be I'd be fine with this move.
Yeah, but I would I would not go as far as I say like Keon Ellis is definitely a better fantasy player than than case in Wallace.
Yeah.
All right.
We get this question.
I feel like every week.
But thoughts on Christophe.
He has played two of the last three for the Warriors.
I'm going to let you into this one.
Alex try not to be biased.
Given his upside and fantasy profile is he a muskrab of healthy.
He's never healthy.
He's just not.
That's what he plays on the front of the back.
The line.
I.
I'm just not.
He swarmed the building.
Healthy.
Yeah.
I mean, you're and then he's also asking about Al Hoerford.
I would love to pick up Al Hoerford.
He's not going to play on one of the back-to-back games either.
But I would rather have Hoerford than Porzingus if you want a guy to hold for like a week.
That's very true.
That's true.
All right.
From Fred Rico.
Would you suggest dropping Prosper or Santos for one of the magic or grizzly players?
Given small.
Well, Max Prosper is a Memphis player.
Good point.
Depends.
I mean, Depends who's available.
He's been fine.
I mean, I.
I'm going to drop you.
You.
You like ghee.
I thought you like ghee.
I don't think I don't think he is dropable.
He's too good.
So you're.
You're holding.
Sorry.
I thought you said dropping.
Oh, no, no, no.
You're holding the Santos.
Gees.
Santos passed 30 days.
Eight.
Cat is 58.
Total value.
And he.
Like.
You can't drop him.
All right.
Sticking to your beloved.
Box.
I'm just going to let you read the question.
Is that what.
Usman.
You say it.
You say it's so much better than me.
That's why I let you.
No.
Don't.
I got.
I got this question on Twitter.
Someone was like,
is it Usman.
Jank time because he had 12 10 for.
And one against the Sun.
I guess what he followed that up with.
No, zero.
Zero zero.
Zero.
Zero zero.
No, Yannis. And then yes, Yannis game, you know, switch there.
No, Yannis played in both games.
Not so. Oh, okay.
Kevin Porter was out for one of the games. Bobby Porgis was out. It doesn't.
It just doesn't. He's not that good.
I'm sorry. Like, I know you're not a fan.
He's like the only youthful hope you guys have and you don't care for him.
I don't, you know, this isn't like a specific dig at you for asking this question
because if someone puts up, you know, 12, 10, 4 with one, it's like you're interested.
There's a to me, Usman Zhang is like one of the most.
This is a very classic fancy basketball example of a guy.
People want to be good so badly.
Like you want people want him to be good.
There's no evidence because but then every time he hits like three,
three and gets 10 rebounds are like, he's good.
He's taken off. Yeah, yeah, you guys discovered Ryan Rollins.
That's the thing that's the thing to hang this season's had on.
I mean, he on Ellis discovering him is a very
that's an interesting way to put it.
He was like in legal troubles.
The box have acquired several back court players with severe legal issues.
Actually, I shouldn't say Ryan Rollins issues were severe.
That's not overstating it, but every asset that the box acquire right now is distressed.
The box have only one.
I don't know if the books have a single non distressed asset on their roster, by the way.
Like, honestly, Miles Turner, Yannis is a distressed asset.
Usman Zhang, they gave away for free.
Kevin Porter, Ryan Rollins, Kyle Kuzma, Bobby Port.
All these guys, yeah, nobody else wants them.
Right. I wish I could paint a rose of your picture for you,
but I am unable to do so.
Speaking of you like Porter or Dejante Murray for the next two weeks,
ooh, that's the question.
I'm waiting with Murray.
I feel like Murray's still kind of on a no back to backs, right?
He's probably he has to be on a no back.
I don't know if they've had a back to back yet, maybe one.
I think they did. Yeah, they had a back to back.
They had two back to backs.
He didn't play any either one, right?
So you got to check the schedule.
But I mean, how do you like Porter's play as of late for your bucks?
He just came back from injury, but he had been awesome before that.
And the box can't really, the box committed to winning too many games
and I they can't like tank again, I don't think.
Right.
They really have.
They're pretty, yeah, they're pretty similar in terms of,
they're pretty similar in terms of value.
I think I would just take KPJ, but it's close.
OK, you're going KPJ slightly more upside.
He's just been more back to India and more available.
How do you feel about Andrew Nehmer to rest of season?
Had 23 the other night.
But also didn't play the game night before.
He seems like somebody that's going to be
part of the tank recipe where he's in and out of the lineup.
He has missed two games over the last 10, let's call it.
Yeah, I think them hard is probably still too good to drop.
Because if your question is like, do I drop him for a streamer?
I mean, he's averaging 17 and six.
And I know he doesn't play that often, but who are you streaming in?
Like, I don't know.
I feel like you hang on to him and then streaming guys from your bench into that spot.
I would have a hard time dropping him still.
He's not missing like so many games that it's really crippling, I would say.
All right.
Golden State, do you feel like Melton is droppable?
I'm not sure.
I mean, with with with curry out for at least another like week, week and a half.
Where you've got this next week.
Yeah, warrior, warrior four games next week.
Melton's questionable with the a doctor.
I know he's missed a few handful of games.
I think I would still hang on to him.
He's another guy where it's just like he's been so.
He's been really good.
I mean, 16 points of game with two steals over his past 13.
They need him.
They need him.
I like this question from Ben.
Should he add Brian Sensabaugh?
If can't take your job, Jess.
He sure.
Yeah, I mean, Sensabaugh.
That guy loves to shoot somebody has to play.
Somebody's got to play for these jets, right?
He had to fill a house.
He got to be exhausted.
They're like, oh, my goodness.
So with the only two people on this team, I know.
Well, he's like getting back to Rutgers.
The main thing with Sensabaugh is just like, don't expect anything except points.
So like, if you don't need points, it's not worth it because he's going to,
there's going to be a lot of nights where he scores like 22 and has two assists and two rebounds and does nothing else.
All right.
I like this question because it is looking at game count.
We're going to point out there are two teams.
One of them is the wizards who have five games next week.
And so yo, yo is asking about ball and buff Carrington.
Five games next week for Washington.
They work picking up.
Or do you stick with kind of more reliable players on four
on teams with four games next week?
What kills me for Washington is just how do you trust this team?
How do they will and will not play?
Well, we're going to talk about that later.
I think they do have a couple guys who it's like they're more, they're more reliable than others.
But yeah, I mean, some of these other waiver wire guys you mentioned, like Keon Ellis.
I'm just not that interested in Keon Ellis.
I'm sorry.
Like he, he had a couple of nice games.
He took nine shots in both games.
He made, he made like, basically didn't miss his shots.
Herb Jones remains the most overrated fantasy player of the past five years.
So I, I'm totally fine with, especially Bob Carrington, who I'm going to suggest as a waiver wire ad later with five games.
I think I'd rather have both those got the extra game matters a lot in my opinion.
Like that's an extra, you know, even if these guys aren't that good,
you start doing the math and it's hard to, it's hard to ignore.
Yeah.
And if they miss a game, it's still four over.
It's still four games, hopefully, but let's see.
How do you feel about Grimes or Oso for precious?
I would assume I'd want precious on these two.
Yeah, Iga Daro has not seized the opportunities, getting the minutes, but he's not getting the boards that I
like, but yeah, I, I don't think precious should be on your waiver wire.
If you're asking if you should drop Quentin Grimes or Oso Iga Daro.
I mean, Grimes theoretically has the better opportunity.
So I think I would drop, I think I would drop Iga Daro for Grimes because with Maxi and Ubrae both out for a few weeks.
Like this is a big Grimes opportunity.
So I would, if I were you, I would want precious and Grimes.
Yeah.
Yeah, either of those for Oso is a good move.
Oh, here's an interesting question.
I hate Trey Young.
We'll never draft him again.
Again, I have been a historically speaking.
I've actually been like a, a Trey young drafter.
Like I'm up with him and a ton of leagues because he's, you know,
I always feel like it's still this year.
Yeah, yeah, I know.
And I always feel like I'm the guy at the end.
I'm the guy in the draft who gets the ninth pick.
And I'm like, what the hell do you do with this, the ninth pick?
What am I, I guess I'll take the guy we average is 20 and 10.
I don't blame you for not wanting to draft them again.
Do you have any normed power injury news?
Alex, we don't.
He's still dealing with the growing strain.
He's been, I mean, he's been out for what is this like seven games.
Basically, it's tough with the soft tissue injuries that he also don't like reveal anything.
They're one of those teams that keep it close to the vest.
So if you're thinking about dropping him, someone dropped R.J.
Barrett due to free throw percentage.
Yeah, drop column pick up R.J. Barrett.
Yeah, R.J. Barrett shouldn't be on way for wires.
I mean, I'm like the number one R.J. Barrett hated, but he should not be on a way for wire.
No, he should know that they have stuff to play for.
In fact, the heat and raptors are battling it out to avoid the play.
And so I don't think R.J. is going to miss any games or most likely to play.
All right, I'm really tired of the Jalen Williams fashion show.
It is killed two of my fantasy teams.
Are you hearing anything when he might return?
I didn't hear anything during the broadcast last night.
No, but they also, they, they're kind of like the Miami heat to where guys will just be out.
They're out. You don't get any updates on all the stuff.
And it's like, by the way, Jalen Williams playing tonight.
Yeah, he's, I think he's too good to drop.
So I would hold him in your aisle.
Yeah.
It's stuff curry. I drop.
I mean, if you, he's not going to play over the next 10 days and could certainly be out longer.
Like I would not be shot. I mean, if he.
He might not play this month. I mean, he may not play in March at all.
So if your league ends before April, you have to drop him.
That's sort of my stance.
I agree. I agree.
Probably the last time I may ever get to post a quiet use the snake name.
Is why not Josh may not worth adding in a hundred and eighty player deep league.
Check your Brooklyn Nets backup rotations.
Please.
That's.
Wow. I look.
First of all, I love that you are in a 180 player deep league.
That's our core fan base right there. Nice.
Yeah, I mean, I guess the, the sort of story on this is like Dayron sharps out for the season.
What are they going to do with Michael Porter down the stretch stuff like that?
I can't rebound for some bizarre reason.
Clacks and stop rebounding for some bizarre reason.
Somebody's got to get some boards.
I just don't know if I actually trust my Nets minutes.
I think, I don't know if I trust anyone's Nets to get regular minutes.
It's insane over there.
The, it isn't sane.
And I assumed Danny Wolf's been at it in your league.
That's just.
See if Wolf's out there before you do mind.
Yeah, yeah, it's just like water the odds.
What are the odds, Josh mine?
It's giving you consistently go enough to production that it's just not worth streaming his spot with somebody else instead.
Like I know you're in a deeply extreme options aren't like that.
Common, but I think if you play the skat or that easy to utilize, but if you play the schedule, you'll be fine.
I'd rather take a flyer on Grizzlies that might play, you know.
All right, I know you're an LXR.
I'll just superstar fan.
We just have five games next week.
How many of those five do we see Alex Sard?
I want to be shocked if we saw him and well, I guess I don't know how the back to back shake out.
I think it's just one back to back.
Let me see here.
It's two back to backs.
That's interesting.
Yeah, they have a they have a Monday, Tuesday and a Saturday, Sunday.
So he's going to play three of those games.
How are you saying would you do half?
I don't think I do because now it's a three headed weirdo rotation in Indiana.
So I'd rather yeah, I'd rather get three games out of Sard, then four out of half.
Champ penny.
I can't go champagne in this case personally, but
this is tough.
I don't know.
Champ penny, he's so three reliant.
Yeah, it's like you'll look at his aim logs.
He'll have like five games where he scores like 30 total points.
And then he'll just go seven from nine from three blow up.
Yeah, yeah.
I think I would just rather play Sard.
I don't know if that's a hot take.
I think I would just rather take Sard.
He's been good.
Like since he's come back.
Yeah.
Fans wondering, well, end with this one.
This Paul is PG must add the kind of assumes you're going to get by the first round
of the playoffs, doesn't it?
And Danny, why don't you really getting out of Danny Wolf?
But at least Danny Wolf is allowed to play.
George, let's check.
When does George come back?
The end of the month, basically.
I don't think you make the gun.
I'm too worried about getting to.
I'm too, I'm too worried about still being a playoff team when George returns.
This guy is a buy.
Yeah, first round by.
Oh, okay, that's true.
I didn't read the whole.
I think I'd rather pick up Paul George.
Because Danny Wolf, I know again, sharps out.
What are they doing?
He just hasn't been.
I think the hype.
Has over.
He's been over hyped.
Yeah, his stats aren't that good.
He can pull up decent numbers.
But I don't know.
I think people's minds.
He's like a triple double guy.
You know what I mean?
He's like, oh, he's so versatile.
And then he passed 16 games.
He's like three assists, you know, like 11, 6 and 3.
It's like, oh, okay.
So yeah, I think I would rather take the upside with Paul George.
All right.
Well, that does it for our fan feedback questions.
Thank you, fans for all your questions.
Alex, please take us to the meat of the podcast.
The waiver wire.
For next week, Phoenix and Washington both have five games
and about half the league 14 teams have three games.
So this is big streaming week.
Yeah.
And so a couple of my ads are going to be based on just Phoenix
in Washington having that many games.
But I will start off with the legend himself.
Campaign, the campaign, kill a cam, 22% rostered.
Tyrus Maxi and Kelly Ubrey are out for weeks.
Campaign.
And he's so he started with Maxi out, play,
put, put up 12, 6 and 4 and 28 minutes against the calves,
then had literally the best game of his career.
And I looked this up.
Actually, the best game of his career off the bench and 30 minutes
against the Grizzlies.
So it doesn't count.
32, 2, 10, 3 and 2, two blocks for campaign.
And then last night, I think it was last night, 19 minutes
off the bench against Detroit, 15, 1 and 2.
Obviously, some inconsistency in campaign's game,
which has been a sticking point throughout his,
actually his entire career.
I still think he yet the very least like has to be rostered
in deep leagues.
And but the downside here is the 76ers only play three games
next week.
So if you're in like a win or go home, like your roster is in
bad shape, playoff situation, I don't think you can pick him up.
But in most cases, I would be trying to pick him up.
We'll see what they do because they started edge comb and grimes
in the back corner and then paying comes off the bench.
I don't know.
I know he puts up numbers and it could work out for you next week.
If you're Maxi's out three weeks.
So there's going to be a lot of minutes for a while.
How about his Ubrey's injury?
I forget.
I think he's also out for weeks.
Okay.
Yeah, two weeks.
All right.
I have a more boring, more consistent pick up here.
And that is Derek Jones of the Los Angeles Clippers rostered
in 19% of a leagues.
Clippers have four games next week.
And look, there's just a very thin Clipper roster where Jones
starts and it gets a lot of minutes over his last four.
This has been ranked 65th in average game value.
And he's posted 14 points, four and a half boards, 3.3 stocks.
He's always been good at stocks and third, a whopping 32 minutes
of game.
I don't see those minutes changing at all.
He's if you just want some consistency, someone playing every night,
someone with a good game count.
I feel like Derek Jones is a really safe streaming option this week.
Remember, you don't have to be awesome this week.
You've just got to beat the guy you're facing.
Yeah, John Collins has been out with the next strain.
It's not exactly clear when he's going to be back.
He's missed a lot of time.
But we know Garland's missing time once here and there.
And Jones has kind of a three position guy.
So yeah, I like that as a suggestion.
He's been he's been pretty good.
My next suggestion, also a Gidoro, a guy that we talked about before,
but 14% roster, the sons have five games.
He's been a little underwhelming, you know,
because he had like a really big double double.
Then played 36 the the next night against Chicago.
So we're coming off the Mark Williams injury.
And since those two games has averaged seven, five and three in 25 minutes.
We've got a higher expectations for us.
We have.
Yeah, I mean, that's some of it is like Mala watch has been good enough
as a backup center that they're able to play him.
Which is sort of affecting Gidoro's upside at the same time.
You start adding up some of these averages like of what you know,
Gidoro could do for you on a five game week.
And you know, it just it just starts to look pretty good, right?
He's going to give you like a look at it.
Based on his last five starts, you get five games that's looking at,
you know, that's looking like seven blocks, which could prove very useful.
Yeah, he might get you 125 fantasy points.
So it's just that's kind of hard to turn down.
Five games.
Yeah, he's going to play in all five of those games unlike so many of these other flyers.
We're discussing.
Okay, I've got another super doll.
Suggestion, but on the the rare grizzlies the play.
If you're in a rodo league, I like Jalen Wells as a pick up.
And if you're in a points league, I like GG Jackson as a pick up.
Wells is rostered in 20% of leagues.
GG is rostered in 32% of leagues.
Memphis has four games, but they've been tanking and resting players like crazy.
These two and maybe Javan Small are really the only ones playing every day.
Wells is very much a Derek Jones like pick.
He's not going to have 30 points.
But maybe it's going to play 31 minutes and you know, he's going to be consistent with the stats.
GG has a little higher upside scoring and rebounds.
Some, you know, occasionally though, is a field goal percentage problem.
I like him better in points league.
But let's ride this Memphis crazy train and therefore games with the few players who are stable.
You mentioned players are stable.
Yeah, you didn't mention Jamai Meshag.
Interesting.
Jamai Meshag are racer.
You're right. I did that.
That's correct.
Yeah, that's a good call.
Yeah, Jalen Wells, GG Jackson, those guys have been really good.
So strong ads, I would say, potential rest of season adds to.
I mean, I know everyone's streaming, but some people you and I play in a 15 team league
that goes to the final day of the season.
It's like you were still looking for guys who might perform like through April.
So yeah, if you're on one of those leagues, those are good players to add.
My next suggestion is Tristan De Silva, who is 19% rostered for the Orlando magic
and has been seeing an increased role with Anthony Black.
Out indefinitely, Franz Wagner is out indefinitely.
Jonathan Isaac is doubtful for tonight.
That doesn't matter. I'm just, I'm just, I would love to mention
Jonathan Isaac.
Wait a minute, Jeff and Isaac, are you crazy?
The $80 million dollar ban or whatever they, whatever they pay them.
What is this contract? I'm sorry, I'm going to, I'm going to do this live on air.
Oh, you are. You're going to dive into July of 2024.
Jonathan Isaac signed a four year 59 million dollar restructured contract extension
with the Orlando magic.
Well, I think that was a bit of a correction, right?
Where they're just trying to spread out the mistake they made on the prior contract.
He has played a thousand minutes twice in his career.
So he had so many injuries before both of those contracts.
Oh my goodness.
But yeah, I do like the Silva.
I thought he'd do more when Ben Carroll was hurt early in the year.
But gosh, they're just so banged up.
And he has me black injury.
That's really a bummer.
He was playing great for the magic.
Yeah, to Silva's past 12 games, 14.6 boards, three assists,
pretty good stocks to combine steals and blocks.
Kind of a strange player because he came in and they're like,
well, this guy got drafted 18 because he can't shoot three.
And now he's a 40% three point shooter.
But yeah, he's playing a lot of minutes lately.
Has been better than he was earlier in the season.
So I would, I would say go ahead and pick him up.
Gotcha. All right.
This is a more of a flyer on a guy barely rostered in a name we've mentioned a few times.
But Tristan Vukovic, the center for the Washington Wizards.
Again, Washington has five games next week.
I'll admit though, this is risky.
The Serbian Center has played only two games since missing four due to a thigh injury.
But he was starting before that thigh injury.
And he's coming off a double double with a block Thursday night in that lost to Orlando.
As we know, Washington has no center.
This was illuminated by Bams, shameful 83 point embarrassment.
You'd like to think the Wizards would be shamed into playing a center.
And Vukovic should be that guy.
They just gave him a regular contract play Vuk.
And he's he's flyer worthy hoping that he stays healthy for the Wizards.
First of all, you are doing a more erasure of jujuris and 33 year old small ball center.
Anthony Gill.
Okay.
Yeah, but I love Gill.
I have probably picked him up out of like for one night league, like four times and every time he disappointed me.
I do like the Vukovic suggestion though as like a Zag to the Alex Sar thing.
You know, it's like, well, if in the two games that Sar doesn't play, like that's, you know,
we know Vukovic is a great permanent guy.
And they're not and when they do play Sar, they probably not let him go over 20, 21 minutes, right?
Because yeah, because he's actually good.
It's too good.
There it boat.
Who is your long?
I think you're staying in Washington for your long shot, right?
Yeah, it's like he's too good.
Unlike the guy I'm about to suggest who is not that good.
So he plays a lot, Bob Carrington.
Seven percent rostered.
As we mentioned, the Wizards have five games next week.
Carrington stat lines are
disgusting, horrible to look at.
They would love it if he could learn a shot.
Sometimes I think he's out there to make cool, cool Bali, feel better about his shot.
Yeah, cool Bali past 18 games.
Since February 1st for
Bob Carrington, averaging nine points, three points, which is again, not great.
But nine points, three rebounds, four assists.
Those are also agadarros, the numbers, all right?
No, but he's got he's going to play five games.
I assume all five games next week.
We'll see what they do with the resting.
Actually, maybe maybe helps him that they have to back to back.
Since there might be other guys who are resting and then he gets more usage.
But just in terms of a volume stat play like he has to be in contention.
Better and points like if you're, you know, if you're in a roto league
and it's really close and feel no percentage, I'm not sure I want Carrington.
No.
So if you need, if you need freeze on assists, yes, but otherwise, yes.
Yes. All right.
Um, here's my long shot of the week.
Robert time, Lord Williams of the Portland trailblazers,
rostered in 11% of leagues.
Look, time, Lord is always a long shot to be healthy.
You never know when he's going to be healthy.
But Portland has four games next week.
And Williams played at least 20 minutes for the fourth for four straight games.
During which time he was a top 90 player in standard nine category leagues.
Last four games, he's averaged 11 and a half points,
nine rebounds and three combined steals and blocks while shooting 68% from the field.
You just never know when you're going to get a fluke four block game out of the time.
Lord and I say he seems kind of healthy.
He looking at his game logs, I haven't realized this.
He hasn't missed two games in a row since December 7th and December 11th.
Since then all of his absences have been one game absences.
Yeah, they're really health management misses and it's kind of working.
I mean, like he's not blowing, you know, he's not,
he's not posting double doubles every night, but it is kind of working.
Yeah, getting something out of him.
Portland, how about teams locked in a very weird standing situation?
Portland, it seems like the wheels can fall off the bus and they're still going to be the last team in the plan out West Memphis.
Like you want to take hold my beer.
It's the same. It's the same with the Clippers and the Warriors.
It's like they they're in the playoffs. They can't do anything about it.
You're in this play whether you want to be or not.
The only thing that matters to them is winning losing doesn't matter.
Like only the wins the wins don't the losses don't hurt them.
You know what I mean?
So yeah, yeah, yeah, weird spot to be in.
Well, Ken, we're going to you're passing it to me.
I'm passing it right back to you because it is time for your old man,
Grant.
Shay Gilgis Alexander is good, but he is no wilt Chamberlain.
I don't care about this recent broken record.
You know why wilt stopped scoring 20 points after 126 games?
Because in game 127, he was ejected in the first quarter.
Wilton had another 92 straight 20 point games.
Plus Lord knows how many women will also once had four straight 60 point games in 1962.
That four point game included his 100 point gem.
Wilton was good.
He averaged a record 50 point four points a game for Philadelphia in 1961, 62 season.
You also that season get this Alex will played 48 and a half minutes per game that year.
A regulation game is 48 minutes.
He averaged 48 point five minutes because he played every second of all 80 games that year,
including over times over his 14 year career.
Wilton played a record 45 point eight minutes per contest.
But please tell me about load management.
Go wilt.
That is a wilt was incredible.
I'm looking at I'm looking at the game logs from his 1961 62 season.
Yeah.
No, I don't I don't want to be the young guy and be like you old guys.
You think everyone was so good.
Yeah, I am not waiting to pick the plumber.
Look.
If I'm I'm just eyeballing this, I think I see three total scores
between both teams in these games that are under a hundred points.
Like most of these games.
No three point line.
He scored also no three point line.
That game against New York one sixth that he scored a hundred points.
Final score 169 to 147 regulation.
Look, it wasn't just points though.
That 61 62 season will average 25 point seven rebounds a game.
And it was his worst rebounding season because the prior two seasons he had over 27 boards per game.
The pace was crazy.
I'm saying it was their deep was their defense being played, Ken.
I don't know and he smelled like a disco tech.
I'm going to I'm going to I don't want to hammer this point too much.
I'm going to read you from from his top scoring performance is that season.
So I gave you the first one.
I'm going to read you all non overtime scores.
He scored 73 in a 135 117 67 and a 121 128 67 and a 135 149.
He scored 65 and a 147 to 137 scored 65 and again non overtime.
152 132 lost to Cincinnati.
Most of those scores are today's scores and he'd be on the call of the ESPN.
Yeah, 130.
It's in the one 30.
This is every game, Ken.
Every single game is your single table and wasn't that good?
136 to 135 no three.
Do you know how bad the defense has to be to even this is you want to guard Will Chamberlain?
You want some of that?
I'm saying we should, you know, we should we should look into the game logs and some of these.
We need to do maybe I just can't believe the minutes played though.
That's what's not I agree with you man.
14 year career average 45.
0.8 basically 46 minutes a game over 14 years his last year in the in the association 72 73.
He played 43 minutes a game.
That's a 36 year old.
Incredible.
It isn't credible.
I just I just like to point some of these things out.
It's all I'm saying.
Some of the field goal for saying stuff.
It's scary.
73 rebounds a game was the average for the league.
He shot a career 44 54% from the field.
You can't really gripe about him shooting like yeah, he was a he was a freaking nature.
He was a savant.
I don't know the freaking nature and a savant.
He was amazing.
Yeah, he was amazing.
All right.
What names did I mispronounce this week Alex?
I don't I don't think you mispronounced any names.
You had some pretty easy.
Some pretty easy names heading into the into the waiver wire section.
I got Vukovic did not call him Vusovic, which would be the Celtic center who makes us to return after watching Garza last night.
But yeah, I think it's okay.
Yeah.
