About this episode
Feb 17 Cheap selfish Democrat voters
An article by Michael Smith taught me how cheap Democrats and liberals can be, and they disguise it with total dishonesty. There's three levels of involvement: Sympathy, empathy, and compassion. Sympathy is feeling for someone. You recognize hardship from a safe place, or maybe you vote for someone who will give them money. Empathy, you feel for someone. You have their emotional experience, and you share pain. But compassion is the synthesis of both. It means you observe, you experience, and you act. And acting isn't voting for a Democrat who will make other people give away their money to help somebody that you care for. There's no honor whatsoever in voting for a Democrat who will give away other people's money. But the most selfish of Democrats pat themselves on the back for voting for other Democrats.
