Fight Life: Vanguard ist zwar ein kurzes, aber taktisch herausforderndes Rundentaktikspiel. Es ist in einzelne Areale/Kapitel aufgeteilt, welche man abschließt, bevor man ein neues startet. Die Areale erkundet man in Echtzeit und findet auch hier und da Tränke oder Ausrüstung. Die Kämpfe sind sehr herausfordernd und die Positionierung extrem wichtig. Leider fehlt es insgesamt ein wenig an Tiefgang und eine Story ist kaum vorhanden. Man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass es sich hier eher um ein kleines Spiel handelt, was aber durchaus seinen Reiz hat.
