Nikola remembers when he and his friends, Jovana and Marco, spent evenings here, dreaming about the future. But now time has left its mark on his bones, and his heart has begun to issue warnings.

8:19He knew his health was no longer what it used to be. But his heart longed for peace, a final moment of embrace with the city to which he had dedicated his life. And so he decided to reach his favorite viewpoint, where the confluence of the Sava and Daniel Rivers could be seen. A place where the city seemed to tell its own stories. As he walked, Nikola internally sifted through his achievements

9:19and some forgotten hopes. But the path was becoming harder. He fell to pain in his chest, knowing what was happening. Nevertheless, he continued, step by step, because the goal was ahead of him. He reached a bench sitting down with effort, looking at a city bathed in light. His heart breathed heavily, but his soul found peace.

10:25He watched as the day met the night, how the colors of the sky changed, how the branches of young trees whispered secrets to the wind. Nikola was in that moment when Nikola accepted all that had been. Past and present met in his heart like those two rivers below. He found peace in the moment, grateful for every day he lived. His last memory in that moment was the strength that made his life what it was.
