It was the conversation that was just too good to call time on. When you’re talking to someone as informed and interesting as Fintan O’Toole, time has a tendency to slip away. And that’s exactly what happened when Fintan and I caught up a couple of weeks ago to talk about his new book ‘We don’t know ourselves’ and a lot more besides. We went deep on so many big topics but we also went very personal, talking about Fintan’s childhood stammer, how many of his childhood friends ended up on heroin and in very difficult situations, and also fascinating insights in to his creative process.
