Flames Prospects Shine in College Hockey

College hockey regular seasons are wrapping up, and conferences are handing out awards

as playoffs get underway.

This week, three Calgary Flames prospects earn spots on all rookie teams in two major

conferences.

Cole Resshne and Air Jamison made the National Collegiate Hockey Conference team, while

Ethan Wittenbach landed on the Eastern College Athletic.

Resshne, an 18-year-old center at North Dakota, has impressed in his freshman year.

He has five goals and 33 points in 32 games, sitting fifth nationally among freshmen for

points.

The Saskatchewan native also helped Canada win bronze at the World Juniors.

Jamison, a 20-year-old defenseman from Calgary playing at Denver, has been steady on the top

pairings.

In 37 games, he notched seven goals in 16 points, contributing on both ends of the

ice.

Meanwhile, Wittenbach, a 19-year-old winger at Quinnipiac, tops all college hockey scores.

The New York native has 24 goals and 57 points in 36 games, leading freshmen and everyone

else outright.

More awards are coming as conferences finalize honors ahead of the National Tournament

in March and April, so Flames fans might hear additional good.
