So thank you for getting back to me so quickly and be interested in hearing what people have to say.
That's, it's thank you for that alone.
Well, it all depends on when you catch me on the mail route, when I get that email that I get a hold of.
But yes, yes, I do.
I appreciate the fact that people take the time to reach out to us, especially if they have something they want to share.
And so I do want to, I do want to talk to people because I know it's hard.
I know that some of the stuff that you're going to share is super hard to talk about.
And I appreciate that you are, you don't feel comfortable enough to come on and tell these experiences.
So, so I'm going to let you jump right into it and just kind of give, you know, give your, give your dissertation on the life that is Marissa.
Thank you.
Thank you.
So the easiest way for me to go about this is chronological just so I don't leave things out.
And I'm not even sure this story really, we touched on it or not when we discussed, we're talking.
But when I was 13, this would have been early 2000s, I live in Florida.
And some parts of, most of Florida has, there's a lot of history, a lot of, a lot of good history, a lot of bad history.
I was in a part of Florida called Pasco County.
It's on the West Coast in Newport, Richie.
My grandparents lived in a small airport community where people had airports as in their garages.
I know boxes are down on the ground, it's really cool to see.
But there's, it's called hidden lakes.
I don't mind saying that because no one lives there anymore.
So it's called hidden lakes.
It's a fairly up to do neighborhood.
A pretty, pretty big deals live in there, I guess, from what I understand, whatever.
But at the back of this subdivision, there are Indian burial grounds from the research that I've gathered in.
Anyone can do this research themselves.
It was really close to this really infamous area called Moon Lake.
Moon Lake, if anyone has heard about Moon Lake in Pasco County, it has a lot of history with gangsters, mobsters hiding out.
There's a lot of occult stuff that goes on there.
It's just a lot of stuff goes on out there.
Anyways, back to early 2000s and maybe 13, maybe 14.
I was sitting on my laptop and my grandparents' kitchen.
It was probably about one to two o'clock in the morning.
I was talking on AOL instant messenger if that dates this at all.
And I was talking up to my friends.
I was a little frustrated because all of my friends were hanging out.
And I was up in a different county and having to watch my cousins or something.
And as I'm talking, I'm noticing things, but not really acknowledging them are paying attention.
I thought I heard they had two cats.
My grandparents had two cats.
I heard the cats walking from the tile to the wood floor.
You can, you know what that sounds like with their little paws, you can hear it.
When the house is stone quiet, my grandparents were sleeping.
All I can hear is the oxygen machine running in the background.
And I heard that.
And I'm like, that's weird.
What are the cats?
They're usually at this time of night.
They don't usually start moving around till three or four when they get there.
Evening is me.
And that's usually when I would get up and go lay down after I got them calm back down for my grandparents.
Anyways, I, as I hear that, things start getting cold, like almost instant.
I'm like, what the heck?
Why am I feeling cold?
And I'm still talking to my friends.
And I even said something to one of my friends on the messenger.
I'm like, oh, something.
It just got really cold in here.
I need to go check.
Remind me to check the air before I log off to make sure my grandparents don't get too cold in the night.
Maybe I turned it down when I got here.
I can't remember.
And then I hear, I hear breathing.
And when I went to turn, I couldn't turn.
I couldn't turn my neck like something was stopping me from turning around completely.
And then I felt breathing on the back of my neck.
And then I felt something.
It didn't hurt.
It felt like something.
Honestly, it felt like a man, when a man, when you have a boyfriend or something,
and puts their hand on the small of your back, just above your butt, you know.
Someone's hand touched my back.
And then I was dead frozen.
My grandpa wouldn't touch me like that.
What is going on here?
So it felt like forever.
I could feel someone breathing on the back of my neck.
I was covered in goose bumps.
It probably was only a few seconds that this happened.
But as soon as I could physically move again, I ran into my grandparents' room.
And I'm like, something just touched.
I was just touched.
I was crying.
I'm shaking.
My grandma is like, what's going on?
I forgot to say that my grandparents own a drywall company.
And because they own a drywall company, they have a lot of cameras around their house.
Drywalls are kind of, drywallers are kind of infamous for sometimes being a hard group of people.
They can be get kind of rowdy.
So we had some incidents with previous employees that we had to really buff up our security.
So my grandpa, my grandma's like, pull up the camera and make sure no one got into the house.
And I'm like, I don't know one was, I couldn't explain to her what was going on or what had happened.
And I'm like, no, it wasn't somebody.
But I couldn't verbally tell her it was something, I guess.
So my grandpa pulls up the CCTV camera right there in front of us.
He had it all set up so they're bedroom.
And my grandma was bedridden.
So he had to make everything accessible.
And one of the cameras was pointing into the front door into the house.
So you could see, they had French doors, glass French doors.
And that way you could see the person entirely when they're walking up and as they turn around to leave from a logistics standpoint.
It was a great angle.
But you can see a shadow, clear as day, not a form at all, just a dark shadow, whether it was a shadow person or just some kind of whatever,
go across the front door where like the entryway, and this is inside the house again, into the kitchen to where I was.
And then three seconds later, you'd see me and my, you only see part of me run out of the kitchen into my grandparents' room.
And then you see my grandpa get up and go look around the house.
So this happened when I was 13 or 14 and that kind of started off, started a lot of my experiences I had.
Fast forward to, I was 19.
I had just had a baby.
I was a very young, I was very young.
Minded, you're not growing at 19, guys, just anyone that's watching, you're not growing at all.
You're still a kid, I promise.

Who's ready for the trust ball?
I had thought that I was all grown in adult and I could move away to Miami and live by myself or live with my father of my child in Miami.
And I thought we'd have this great life and life is not easy when you're first starting out, especially with the little one.
And I came to find out fast that it was a lot, a lot, a lot was going on.
It was just a lot, especially when you have any family around, no kind of support.
Anyway, so I wasn't in the best place.
It was very hard times.
And I had these amazing neighbors.
They were Cuban.
I want to say they were Cuban.
They were awesome, amazing.
But they liked to kind of take advantage of the fact that I had a vehicle.
So, often I was taxi.
And I honestly didn't mind.
I didn't have a whole lot going on at the time.
I worked overnight at a bar, so it wasn't a big deal.
So, one afternoon, my neighbor, her and her boyfriend were going through a really tough time.
She was like, come on, we need to go.
This was, I lived in Hollywood.
I say Miami because some people don't understand.
But she's like, we need to go down to Hollywood.
I mean, Miami.
And go see somebody.
I need a spell.
I'm like, need a what?
She's like, I need a spell to put on Johnny so I can get him straightened out.
And I don't have to worry about nothing.
I'm like, like a love spell from like a witch or something.
And she's like something like that.
Just come on, let's go.
And I'm like, okay, let's go.
So.
You must have really, you must have really had nothing going on to say.
Yeah, you're going to go, you're going to go get a spell?
Let's go.
Let's get right.
Holy moly.
Well, she had me, she had me at, let's go get a spell.
And I'm like, all right, I'm intrigued.
Let's see how this plays out.
How bad could this go, really?
This has nothing to do with me.
I'm nothing to do.
I can happen to me.
I'm not doing this.
Okay.
So.
Half, I should have known halfway there the air conditioner goes out in my van, my mini van.
I'm like, oh, God, here we go.
I should have stopped and turned around.
But I didn't.
I kept going.
And we get down there.
And this place is called the triangle.
And it's like one way in, one way out neighborhood.
And a lot of people.
You kind of have to get, okay, or nodded, nodded in to even get into this neighborhood.
Police don't even like going back there and stuff.
It's, it's crazy.
I go into, I get approval to come into this neighborhood to begin with.
And I'm just on edge.
I'm like, oh, I am not prepared for this at all.
And we get to this house.
And I went to go towards, there was a driveway.
And of course, a path to the front yard and like a driveway and path to the backyard.
And I'm going to the front yard.
She's like, no, no, we're going in the back.
I'm like, okay, let's go in the back.
And there was, as soon as we open the back gate, I can't explain it to you.
It's like we walked into an oven.
The temperature difference, the, the air was thick.
I live in Florida most of my life.
I know what humidity is.
I know what thick air is.
I have a lot of experience with it.
I know as soon as I walk outside, I'm going to start sweating.
This was totally something else.
It was also, it felt like a pressure.
I can feel it.
It was, I don't, it was just, it was, something was off.
It was not right.
But yet I kept going.
There were frogs.
These huge bullfrogs, giant, giant bullfrogs just jumping around everywhere.
There were chickens just wandering around.
There were two goats tied up at the tree.
There were, I'm not kidding, huge snakes, boa constrictors hanging from the tree.
This is like literally a horror movie I'm walking into.
And here I am just trailing behind like, okay, let's see what's going on.
Looking back, of course, I never would have done this.
I would never do these steps again, but being so young and naive and ignorant,
you're up for anything, I guess.
There was a huge white block shed, I guess you could call it.
It was just this white, all white, freshly painted white, mind you.
Like someone was painting this thing white every week, it looked like.
Like you could see like dirt was being painted over.
Something about the white had to be fresh.
The space had to be clean or something.
I didn't understand, I didn't speak the language.
I'm not exactly sure if it was Haitian or Spanish.
I know a little bit, I can recognize both of those language.
It was like a mix of like three or four different languages.
This woman was speaking.
And my Spanish neighbors, she couldn't even understand everything this lady was saying.
So we get directed to go into this big white building.
And again, there's these frogs jumping around everywhere.
But there's also statues like you would see at a church
or like in a really nice garden of all different kinds of like saints, I think.
I'm not Catholic, so I'm not real familiar with saints and who they are and what they are for.
But yeah, I saw a whole room of saints.
And they were taking up more of the room, more of the space and the woman herself at the table was.
It was really overwhelming.
So I sit down, and as I sit down at this table with this lady, again, I'm just a guest.
I'm not there for any of this stuff going on.
As soon as I sit down, it felt like all the statues started looking at us at the table.
It felt like they all turned at the same time.
At the corner of your eye, you see something.
And then you hear a whole, you hear people inhale, like a deep breath.
Like, what the hell is that?
It's like, what is going on here?
Are these animals, what's going on?
My neighbor just said, it's okay, because I know she knew I heard it.
I know she heard it.
She put her hand on my leg and said, it's okay.
I'm like, okay.
If you say so.
So she starts getting, I guess, a reading done, something done.
And my neighbor is trying to translate, but it's going so fast.
And I'm like, who is this lady?
And she's like, she's a priestess.
And I'm like, of what?
Of a cook?
What of what?
She's like, this is Santaria.
Haven't you ever been around it?
No, I haven't been around it.
I've never experienced this.
This is all new.
But that's a way of life down there.
And I was very new to the way of life down there.
Yeah.
So.
Okay.
Okay.
Young and naive.
I'm telling you.
So as it's going, my neighbor couldn't translate fast enough.
This lady was going so fast.
And she was whipping up this spell or something.
She had a bowl of liquid and vials of, I want to say it was blood.
I don't know for sure.
I'm assuming it was blood.
It looked like blood.
It smelled like blood in the air.
I'm telling you, I could taste, just talking about it.
I could taste blood in my mouth from the memory.
It is that metallic.
I can still just talking about it.
I've got chills talking about it.
It really impacted me.
So halfway through this lady is deep into whatever she's doing and talking to my neighbor.
And my neighbor is totally stopped translating at this point.
So she's just like, I'll tell you later.
I'm like, okay.
Are we almost done?
You know?
And this priestess lady, she stands straight up and starts waving her finger in my face and yelling at me.
And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
I don't have any money.
I don't want a spell.
Tell her to stop.
I don't want any of this.
And she's like, wait a second.
And I'm like, no, tell her to stop.
I don't, I don't want to, I don't, I can't pay her.
The little V.
The priestess told, she said, shut up.
Listen.
And I'm like, I stopped.
I froze.
And it takes a lot for me to stop talking, first of all.
I'm a very strong person.
I don't like to stop talking.
And that usually gets me in trouble.
But this time for some reason, I listened and I stopped.
Thank goodness.
So she went on this little rant at me.
And my neighbor couldn't.
She's like, I'll tell you when she's done talking.
I'm like, OK.
And then the lady, all of a sudden, it was like mid-sentence.
She just gets up, turns around and walks out.

Who's ready for the trust, Paul?
I'm like, are you, is she done with your spell?
Can we go?
And she's like, yeah, but I have to tell you something.
And I'm like, I don't have any money to give this lady.
I'm sorry.
She's like, no, it's, she said, stop with the money.
It's not about the money.
I thought it was, I was trying to get,
I thought maybe there was scamming me or something.
I didn't know what was going on, honestly.
So she said, she had a message for you.
From the other side, that doctors are going to give you the wrong medicine.
Or are you taking medicine?
I'm like, I'm not even on any medicines.
What are you talking about?
She's like, I don't know.
She said that it's imperative that you know they're going to mess up your medicine.
They're going to give you the wrong amount and you're going to die.
And I'm like, okay, we're all going to die one day.
I'm like, whatever you say.
Okay.
So that was just the experience.
And I'm, get up and I leave.
And the car breaks down on the way home, of course.
It was just a horrible day.
So fast for 10 years, not 10 years, probably four or five years.
I was 23 or 24.
The doctors in mind you, I don't, I'm not even thinking about this time.
I'm not, it's not even in my brain at this time.
It's not even in my brain at this point of that incident.
Doctors end up putting me on a medicine.
And they gave me, it was, of course, it was of brand new doctor.
It wasn't used to writing this prescriptions or anything.
And she added a zero or something to the milligrams and had me on seven times the amount of a normal person should be taking of this medicine.
And I had an accidental overdose due to it.
And having that accidental overdose, this is when my first near death experience happened.
I died.
It wasn't, I died.
I flatlined.
So this goes into that, my near death experience.
I, when I died, I, from what I understand in the medical sense,
they had brought me back a couple of times, but my heart kept stopping.
Everyone's, the doctor thought it was my time, he said later on.
But during this time, I remember getting into the ambulance.
I remember not feeling right, but then I remember fading away slowly.
And then it's like a light switch went on and I was above my body.
I was hovering above my body.
I was watching the doctors doing chest compressions, trying to set up a machine to do the chest compression or to do the electric shock thing.
The nurses or like just call it, she's just an overdose.
Like the nurses were really, really mean.
They were being really ugly, not a typical nurse that I've ever experienced.
She was, this specific nurse was awful, saying awful things.
Just let her go. She's done another junky mind you.
This was all an accidental thing that I, I never, I wasn't doing drugs.
This wasn't drugs related.
This was a medicine, like actual medication.
But she didn't know that.
I look over to my right as I'm hovering above and watching everyone do this.
And I see my great grandfather, who had passed years prior to this.
And he is like, this year, what are you doing here?
And I'm like, I don't know, I guess they messed up.
I guess I'm here with you now.
And he is like, no, it's, it's not time for you to be here.
You got to go back.
And I'm like, it seems really nice here, though.
And I was trying to convince him to let me stay.
And he was saying, no, you can't, it's not time.
You've got more stuff to do.
You've got more stuff that needs to happen with you.
And I said, okay, all right, I'll go back.
But I'm, I look forward to seeing you.
I was really, I was really happy to see my grandfather.
So the doctors must have brought me back.
And I came back.
But I remember specifically the doctor throwing a glove as he pulled him off and walked out.
I think he was really irritated with that one nurse and how she was talking about just giving up on me.
And he threw his glove and it didn't go into the garbage.
It went behind the garbage kind of behind like this table with like tools and stuff on it.
And when I got into recovery and it takes a few hours for you to come to.
And for some reason, I had to go under.
They had to put me back under for a time or something.
Something happened where my brain began to swell or something.
And I had to go back under a coma into a coma for a certain length of time.
Or when they deemed it better for me to wake up or something.
And I don't understand it to this day because my family isn't medically trained or experienced at all.
And they can't explain anything to me.
But anyways, during this one point, the doctor was like,
you really scared us there.
I thought we lost you, but you're trying to explain to me what's going on.
And all I could tell him is you missed the garbage.
You missed the garbage.
Your glove didn't make it to the garbage.
He's like, what are you talking about?
I'm like, I saw.
I watched you.
He's like, no, you were asleep.
I'm like, no, I'm telling you, I watched you take your glove off and throw it.
And he's like, I did, but I went into the garbage.
I'm like, no, it didn't.
Go back.
It's not in the garbage.
I was right.
The glove wasn't in the garbage.
It was behind.
How I would know that I went.
There's no way I would have known that.
I don't know.
I don't know the science behind it.
I don't know what happened or how it happened.
I saw conversations.
And I also had mentioned about the nurse.
I said, I don't, she shouldn't work with that nurse again.
Maybe that's what I said first to him.
I can't remember which came first about the glove or the nurse.
But I said something that really caught his attention.
And he just smiled and walked away.
So clearly, I don't think things like that happen rarely.
I think they happen a lot, but people just dismiss it as just simplicity is a life.
But in reality, these are everyday miracles.
Well, I think you could convince yourself that maybe your subconscious heard her talking.
You know what I'm saying?
Like you weren't dead, you know, you could hear.
Yeah, maybe.
But the fact that you saw the glove not make the trash can.
That's a whole different level.
I was flat.
I was laying flat.
There's no way I could have.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You wouldn't be able to see that.
I don't, I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't, it was even like after I came to, I was still floating above.
Like I wasn't, I wasn't there all the way in my body.
I wasn't in my body at that time.
I don't know if I was still kind of hanging out.
I don't know.
I can't explain it.
But I know I was dead.
I know it wasn't a dream.
I know I was talking to my great grandfather.
These are like, these are facts in my mind without a doubt.
No, no, even little bit of doubt.
None, no doubts.
This is fact in my mind.
So that was really crazy.
I don't, I'm not going to really talk about the other one.
Because it's a really heavy subject.
I don't want to keep it lighter.
But there was one more near death experience.
And I don't know.
I feel like every time you have an experience when it comes
to life and death, I really feel like that veil gets a little bit thinner.
Yeah.
To spiritual, to entities, to anything.
I almost feel like that makes you some kind of beacon to where,
because after that, after the first one, I tell you, I had so many,
I've had so many little experiences, so much, a bunch of big experiences.
I've had a lot of stuff happen.
Like, why am I?
But that's the only thing that makes me special, so to speak,
in any kind of way that I have something, I've experienced something
that not everybody has been able to experience.
That makes me a little more open to this sort of thing from happening.
Well, well, think about it.
You were on the other side.
So you probably have, like, lack of a better term, that stink to you,
that you were on the other side.
And they can, and spirits and stuff can recognize,
I mean, this is totally theory, but talking to other people
who are psychic mediums and stuff, and that the spirits,
like, recognize that they can hear them or see them,
and then they bother them, you know, or like, want to get their attention.
And, yeah, and so they probably know, like, wait a second,
she's been over here.
You know, we can, either there's a glow, there's a light,
there's something, you know, and that's, I think you're right on there.
Every time you have that experience, which is crazy,
it's crazy to have one, but to have two.
Yeah.
Who knows that that opens you up to?
Right.
That, or we all just have the crazy button in our mind that gets flipped
and we just all think that this is just solid.
Yeah, and it could be chalked up either way.
And the thing about me is, is I am very, I love to learn.
I'm actually just starting to go back to college.
Again, I'm trying to further my education even more so.
And I always want to learn things.
I'm very much a real, a realist.
I know I'm very big into what's in front of me is real.
I always have been, but I'm very accepting of,
there's also a lot of things we don't know.
And there's a lot of things that we aren't meant to know,
nor understand.
Too fast, Trevor, too fast.

So from that, the neck, let me look on my list here.
The next thing that happened.
I had a whole bunch of little experiences that I shared with other people.
I was in the shower one time and I had a shower curtain ripped open.
And I heard someone run down the hallway like they were running away from it.
Like it was all a big joke.
And I don't know what that was about.
I have no idea.
But I know I ran out of that apartment in a towel.
And my son's father was like, what are you doing?
Walking around in a towel.
And I'm like, there's someone in our apartment.
He's like, there's no one in our apartment.
You're crazy.
Like probably, but this is what I experienced.
I experienced fast forward to my late 20s.
I met my now husband.
Actually, I met him while he was in a work release program from prison.
And I, we had a mutual friend.
I didn't meet him that we had a mutual friend.
And we started talking seriously.
And I was there for him from the time he got out of prison.
Until current time, we've been together and life's been, you know, fair.
We've done really well.
But he noticed really quickly that there's something,
something different about me.
Things tend to happen around me a lot.
And he had to kind of accept it really quick.
Very early in our relationship, my mother and father were getting ready to sell their house in Columbus, Georgia.
They lived in front of the county's watershed.
Does that make sense?
A watershed?
Does that sound right?
I've never heard.
I'm not familiar with the terminology.
We called them retention ponds and stuff, but it was a really big, it was big.
But it was a big, open water area, like a little pond or a little lake area.
But then it was surrounded by trees.
And I want to say that in with at the biggest, it was probably only about an acre to an acre and a half and with.
But it surrounded this whole watershed.
And if you're not being in living in Florida, my husband is very used to Florida, very used to kind of Florida isn't city.
But it's not parts of Florida isn't art city.
He lives in, he was born and raised in like a touristy area and braided to Florida.
And going up there and there's a little bit of woods behind you is a big deal to someone like him.
So he always was like on edge by the woods.
And me growing up, I was, I hunted and stuff with my stepdad and growing up.
I could, I could hang up a hog in the tree and cut it down for you.
No problem.
But don't ask me to, I don't know, clean up the blood.
I can help you out, but I'm not, I'm not going to, I'm not going to do all the labor for you.
You got to help, you got to do it.
I'll direct you.
Don't make me do it.
But he, anyways, him being so on edge around the woods and stuff, my dad and I always like to tease him.
But they called us to come up there because they were, they wanted to help get there for us to help them get their house ready to sell.
And they had a mother in law, separate mother in law suite that they needed to update.
But they're like, you guys live out there and you guys can help us fix it up if you could.
So you can get this household.
That's the only thing my dad is getting older and he didn't want to have to deal with it on his own.
Like no problem.
We don't got anything major going on.
And we're early in our relationship and we're trying to plan for our wedding.
I'm like, sure, we got, let's, let's go.
So we go up to Columbus, Georgia and try moving up there.
And we're in the midst of doing all this construction and every night my husband's a smoker.
And he goes outside and he has a cigarette and stuff and he sits on the back of his truck and then he comes in.
Well, this night, we had all just got done eating dinner and I'm in the kitchen doing dishes.
And my, I can see from the kitchen sink window, my husband sitting on the, the back of the truck, smoking a cigarette.
And then all of a sudden, we heard a scream that I don't, I've never heard this kind of scream.
Again, I've been hunting and stuff.
I know animals, I know foxes, I know coyotes, I know hog, I know what a deer scream is.
I know what a moose scream is.
I know, I know my critters.
I know what they are.
I don't know what this, the scream was.
It wasn't an owl.
It wasn't, it wasn't a, I don't know what it was.
The only thing I can compare it to was the scream of like, of when you say,
what a banshee is, like that kind of woman type scream.
But it, it was high, but then it got really low.
It, I can't explain it.
No human could scream like that.
The going from such a high octave to, to such a low, you could almost feel it, the scream.
And he got plain white.
I saw this all happening.
And his head snapped to the woods immediately.
Because I guess that's the direction it came from.
I only heard it, it was so loud I heard it over the water.
But again, I'm in the water running in the sink.
I'm in the house and I hear it.
And he's out there though exposed.
He feels like to whatever this is that just screamed.
And I've never seen him jump off the truck and get inside so fast.
He's like, what was that?
I don't know what that was.
So I'm like, let's go look.
He's like, are you crazy?
I'm like, I guess.
Let's go.
So I grabbed a flashlight.
We're kind of scanning the woods.
And I know animals that have eye shine and stuff.
And I'm having my flashlight at a level of where I think like D or might be or a coyote at that level.
And then my husband, I see out of my corner of my eye, I just see him kind of look upward.
And I just tracked my light upward just out of natural reaction.
As I did that, about halfway up a tree, I see the light shine.
I see eye shine.
And I'm like, what is that?
It had to have been between eight and nine, maybe even eight and ten feet.
I'm not real sure.
But whatever this thing was, was eight to ten feet tall.
Its eyes were at that level.
It was dark.
I couldn't see anything.
I didn't smell anything.
And then it turned around.
I saw its head turn and the body.
It was too dark in the woods to see it.
My light couldn't get past the dense of the woods.
I just kind of saw it's out.
This thing was big.
And it was heavy.
You can hear it really stepping into the ground.
It had some weight behind it.
I don't know what that was.
But living there after that.
In the mother-in-law suite, we felt so exposed.
We didn't stay there long after that.
We ended up coming back out of Florida.
Because we, something would tap, like just playfully on our window unit on the AC.
And then my dad, actually, I'm like, something is tapping on the window unit.
I'm like, yes, there is.
He's like, fine, I'll change the window unit.
And I'll show you.
It wasn't the window unit.
Well, he did.
He put one of the ductless air conditioners in the mother-in-law suite.
It was worth it for the upgrade.
But not just because his oldest daughter is complaining about the window unit being tapped.
But he never took it seriously.
But when he took the window unit out, and he got the window back regular,
something would tap on our window.
And like, tease us.
Like, hey, I'm here.
So we left probably, it was probably like a month after that.
We left.
My husband's like, we're not, I'm not doing this.
We're going.
So when you guys are out there in the woods and your light hits the eye,
makes the eye shine.
Does the thing move away quick?
Or does it just...
No.
No.
He was just dead staring right at me.
Dead stare.
He wasn't scared.
He wasn't startled.
Most critters, they would freeze in the light and then take off.
He didn't move quickly, nothing.
He didn't care that we were there at all.
Most people would rather attend a corporate team building workshop
than search for auto and home insurance.
Go team!

So, kid, do you remember like what the face looked like?
It was dark.
All I can remember is dark.
Just darkness.
So it was a dark colored face.
Yes, dark colored face.
And you can see the eyes.
Thinking, it's like as soon as I locked eyes with it,
the eyes is all I saw until it turned around.
And then I just saw.
I want to say it was covered in a dark fur.
But I don't, it would not like fur, like on a dog,
like long fur, like on a, like a gorilla's kind of hair,
like a orangutan kind of hair.
But black, black, blacker than absence of black.
It, I can't.
Like it was absorbed, like it was absorbing whatever light
you're even shining on it.
So black.
Yes, 100%.
I couldn't, I wasn't meant to know any details.
All I, all I was meant, the fact that I saw its eyes is,
is I think all I was meant to see.
I don't, I'm not going to push trying to figure anything else out
with that.
I think that's all I was meant to see.
And that's all I saw.
Yeah, it was the scream alone is something we'll never forget.
My husband and I, all I had to say is that scream though.
And to this is six years later, seven, six years later.
And he still says that scream was no joke.
But he gets stone serious.
He doesn't even, it is scared him.
And this is a man that had been to prison.
That's why I was explaining.
I mean, he hasn't startled easily.
You can, we poke fun with him about the woods and stuff.
But he isn't scared of much.
And he was, he was terrified.
Absolutely terrified.
So I can't imagine.
Yeah.
Then we, so we come to Florida because whatever this thing was,
well, first of all, when we back up, do you have,
have you heard of any stories in Columbus?
Part of Georgia of any, I don't know if it was Dogman.
I don't know if it was Bigfoot.
I don't know what it was.
But have you heard anything about that area?
There's all kinds of Bigfoot stories in that area.
Really?
Oh, yeah.
This was right, I fought Benning.
Right there at the military base.
Go.
And that, you know, and I was, it's not that I'm promoting Sasquatch Chronicles.
But Sasquatch Chronicles, Wes just had on somebody from,
just a couple weeks ago, from Fort Benning.
Oh, okay.
There's all kinds of stories from that, from that area.
And so, you know, Bigfoot doesn't know where the boundaries
to Fort Benning are.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
So, but now there's.
They do a lot of missile launching or a lot of test shooting out there.
So he might know those boundaries a lot better than you think, man.
He might know that that's just the area you just say a little bit farther away from.
Well, actually, no, the stories are when they're out there doing exercises.
Now, they're not shooting with live rounds, but they sound like live rounds.
Yeah.
Yeah.
These creatures will just walk right out and it will be out on the range or out.
They'll be curious.
Yeah.
What are you guys doing?
Yeah, exactly.
It's my, it's my nap time.
What are you doing?
I'm trying to sleep.
But it seems like though,
it's the worst kept secret on military bases around the world or at least the United States
that these, that those animals like hang out on some of them because they're vast pieces of land
that are wood because soldiers have to train and different terrain.
They have drop training there.
They have, they have drop training there where you jump out of the airplane and they have everything out there.
They have to have that space.
It must be a good kept secret just as I go into my next story, how Florida on the Everglades
pamphlet once, or I don't know if it still does, but was joking around how don't mess with
our Sasquatch or no hunting our Sasquatch or some kind of garbage like that.
The skunkate.
Yeah.
Florida acknowledged it.
The Fish and Wildlife acknowledged this in a brochure or pamphlet to everybody.
But yet he's not there.
Come on.
So let me slide into my next story.
So we came back to Florida.
And we're in Florida.
Again, very big.
Bradenton, Florida.
It's a very touristy place.
There's this really infamous college or I'm sorry, high school, private school called IMG Academy.
Anyone that's familiar with this, this, this is a big to-do place.
This is where the riches of the rich send their kids to get out of their hair.
Send them to school.
I have, actually, I have two houses down for me.
I have an Airbnb that, I don't know if it's Airbnb, it's a vacation rental that caters to IMG kids.
So every week these kids have a Lamborghini port.
They have Ferraris.
They have different rental cars every week.
Their parents are renting them and they're speeding down our road every week.
So this, this, this school is, is got money.
But with the money, they have a lot of property.
And they've been expanding and expanding and expanding their school in their little area.
They've, they've got a large area now.
But during one of their last expansions, they were building this huge,
a new, very flamboyant entrance, very big.
And it's kind of like at the back side of their school.
So you have a lot of, it's a whole little city once you get into it.
There's different dorm buildings, there's different schools, there's different,
they specialize in tennis.
Well, they used to, I don't know if they do anymore.
But they have tennis courts, baseball, baseball fields, football,
they have every sport, they really cater to sports.
So as they did this,
Bradenton residents were really noticing a presence of wildlife.
Wildlife was being pushed out of their habitats from IMG expanding.
They had this property, but they just started building on it in the past few years.
So we were noticing a lot of, we noticed coyotes every year.
But we were really noticing even more coyotes.
I, even my backyard, I mind you, I've got a seven foot wood fence all the way around.
No place, anything could slide in.
And I had, and again, another thing,
FWC, the Fish and Wildlife, whatever, don't want to tell you.
There was a plant, a Florida panther in my backyard.
They say that, oh, they're not around here.
I'm telling you, there's a Florida panther in my backyard.
It's back, went up to the armrest on a chair.
No house cat is that tall.
I'm sorry, it's not going to happen.
There was a panther, and a big chunk of its tail had been bitten off.
So it had a short, weird tail.
It didn't have its long tail.
It was short.
It was really weird looking the tail part.
But anyways, that was just the visual cues I was trying to explain to them.
Like, listen, I saw this.
This is here.
No, you didn't.
Okay, I didn't.
Sure.
Whatever you say.
So, along with that, we all started...
Everyone used to go on different...
I'm on all the different apps with, like, neighbors and stuff,
where you can tell someone, hey, I had a sighting of this creature,
you know, watched the little ones and watched the kids,
or the animal pets at night.
Just keep an eye out, you know, this creature,
you've got a pack of coyotes running around, or a group of coyotes.
I guess they're not usually always in big groups,
but there's a group that are around my neighborhood.
So we have to be really vigilant about the coyotes.
And of course, if there's another...
A gator that's during gator mating season,
the big male gators, the bulls,
like, to travel on land to different waterways,
to get fresh meat for themselves.
A new woman.
They like to look for another...
A new woman.
So you'll find really big gators in areas you wouldn't normally see them.
They like to travel.
And gators do climb fences, 100%.
And we do have crocodiles as well.
Don't let anyone tell you don't.
We have our own breed of Florida crocodiles, 100%.
Anyways.
Florida sounds like Australia.
Like anything could kill you.
It is.
Just going...
We have...
I was taking my daughter for a walk for her birthday.
Two weekends ago.
And it was this place called Robertson's Preserve.
And we're just walking on the sidewalk.
And right next to the sidewalk, I see a rattlesnake.
Okay, no big deal.
I take a few more steps.
I see another rattlesnake.
A couple more...
Another rattlesnake.
There were six rattlesnakes in a row,
which that's creepy enough as it is.
There was just...
I guess a little bit farther.
I let someone know as we were leaving.
Like there's a bunch of rattlesnakes.
Oh yeah, there's a den down there.
Don't you think y'all should have a sign for that?
Come on.
What if we had a dog with us?
Our dog would have been dead.
What if my kid went into the bushes for one second?
You don't let your kids roll around in the grass in Florida.
It just doesn't...
It doesn't happen.
Step into the world of power, loyalty and luck.

I came back from Georgia to Florida.
My father-in-law, he was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's
and dementia.
I was helping care for him.
But night times were his hardest.
So I had to find a job like during earlier parts of the day
that I could make sure that I was home in the evenings for him
no matter what.
I was very particular about the kind of job I needed
in case something happened with him and I had to get to him.
My mother-in-law was.
I didn't want her.
It's all beyond her.
So.
I found a job being a nanny.
And I would go.
It was like I'd work half the day until about 12 or one.
It was perfect.
But I had to be there about.
Five o'clock.
Okay.
No big deal.
So my husband would drive me there in the mornings.
And I'd be there.
Being playing nanny all day and then go home.
During this specific.
Morning.
We drive with the windows down because the Florida cool air.
It's a really good feeling in the morning before the sun comes up.
Or even this before the sun even thinks about coming up.
Is the only time that the it's nice in Florida.
I feel like it's cool a little bit.
So we always enjoyed that ride.
And then we I always like to mentally prepare for work.
I know it sounds silly, but I was going to deal with kids screaming and stuff.
So I like it to be quiet.
And my husband just just drove.
So.
I was riding.
And we smell something in the air like.
Oh, it's a skunk must have got hit or something.
We.
I know what a skunk smells like.
It happens all the time.
We.
Something gets hit or roadkill.
It.
It smelled like the mix of a skunk and roadkill is what it smells like.
It was awful.
And I'm like, oh, make sure you go home the other way.
I don't want that smell sticking to your clothes.
He's like, yeah, I'll go home a different way.
And literally, as I get done saying that.
Something.
Walks in front of us.
It only took two steps to get across the street.
And a two lane road.
And it's not like it was out in rural area.
This was in the midst of apartments and stuff.
But IMG Academy was dead ahead of us.
And we were in the middle of the road.
And we were in the middle of the road.
At this new entrance, they were just starting to build.
It was the beginning process of this build.
So there were still woods and stuff.
Anyway, is this it.
It only took two steps and it was across the road.
And by the time we got up past.
The.
The.
The.
Complex that we were in front of.
Because you can't see past.
And we had deads.
I had a dead line of vision.
300, 400 yards.
And any normal animal would have been able to just hide.
They would have.
I would have seen it kept running.
It was only a matter of seconds.
It's this happened.
There's nowhere for it to hide.
I guess it could have jumped the stucco wall.
That's very possible.
But I don't know.
It was just.
It was so fast.
It happened in seconds.
But it's one of those things that just sticks with you forever.
I just.
I know I just saw the skunk gate.
100%.
Now.
How big.
How big.
Did it.
Was that.
How big was that compared to the other thing that you saw in.
It was.
It was just a little bit smaller.
It's a little bit smaller.
And it.
It wasn't black at all.
It wasn't.
It's texture.
It's color.
It was nothing at all alike.
Um, this color.
It was more of a brown of reddish brownish.
Um.
But it.
And it's stringy.
Real stringy.
Strong like hair.
Long.
Long.
Strong like stringy hair.
Um, and even looked like there was like mud hanging like on its back.
Like.
It's.
I don't want to say it's hair was layered.
I'm assuming it was like.
The hair coming from its head compared to the hair that was on his back or her back or
it's back.
Um, but the hair on its head you could visually see was longer than the hair from its back.
The head hair was longer.
And.
Hanging from it was like.
Muck.
Like.
Mud or just.
Like which.
Like what you would expect for something that was living out in the wild and floor.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Honestly, I see some of our, our houseless people hair look really similar.
Unfortunately, it's, it doesn't take, you don't have to be out in the wild.
Just.
Being here in the humidity and just the environment here.
It can get like that quick.
So I don't want to hate on the skunk ape saying you have bad hygiene or nothing.
I don't want to hate myself.
Hey, listen to skunk apes.
Not listening.
So he'll be, he'll be all right.
You're probably right, but I still live, I still live here and I, I don't want to jinx
it.
Don't any bad.
I don't want to.
So, so was it traveling then towards the IMG Academy, like going towards it or towards some
of the land at home?
It was going parallel to it.
Okay.
It was walking parallel.
It looked like a head.
I know traffic just right after this is when traffic would start picking up and all the critters
know that as well.
So, and I think that it was probably making its way home for the night and, and it might
have been rummaging and like the dumpsters or something because, because of its habitat being so
disturbed in IMG food is always the biggest resource that animals are going to be looking for
when their habitat is.
And you think, and you think about the IMG Academy is probably serving some pretty good
food.
Oh, yeah.
And they're probably not in there probably.
I don't want to say anything, but they're probably wasteful.
You know, and they're just throwing it, throwing it out.
Now, the only, the only other thing you consider is the IMG Academy was looking for a power
forward.
And this was one of their, one of their newest recruits.
We could be on to something.
This could, this could be very well be a celebrity's trial that went out late.
Well, this is the, this is the, this, so we always joke, we joke about, you know, when people
describe the size of these things when they see them.
And you're like, well, unless it's shack or somebody else out in the woods, this is a,
so this is a case where, where you could joke, we could joke about that.
But it's like, hey, you never know, you never know.
There could be somebody that big running, running around.
The only reason that I can tell you how big eight foot is, my dad is six foot six.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I got six with six.
I know how tall eight foot is.
I've, I've known that growing up with eight foot is, I know what 10 foot is.
I know, I know my dimensions very well because I came from a father with six foot six.
And he used to put me on his shoulders a lot as a kid.
Nice hit my head on a lot of stuff.
So I had to know the clearance level of a lot of things.
So you learn heights really, really quick.
Without a doubt, this skunk ape, 100% smelled.
It was a reddish brown fur.
Its hair was very long on his head region and shorter in its, on his body.
It, again, it was, it was shorter than the other thing.
It, it was probably between seven and eight feet.
It was taller than my dad, but it was shorter than the other thing that I saw easy.
I know it was at least a foot shorter than that without a doubt.
It's, it, it went, it walked across the road.
It kind of did this like, I don't want to say it kind of gave us like a nod.
Like, you know, like they can pay what's up.
But he had no, he had no hesitation about just kind of looking at us as he walked by.
Like, he had no problem giving us like a look.
Like, what, don't look at me or you don't need it.
You didn't, you didn't just see what you think you saw.
Tied mind trick.
I don't know.
Like a Jedi, like a Jedi mind trick.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was, um, and it, so it smelled, it was, it was, it was brought, it's legs.
I don't remember the broadness of its body because I was looking at it from the side.
But I do remember it's a legs and how thick the calf area was and how defined the hair.
It almost looked like the hair was rubbed off on the side of its calf from walking.
I don't know if you mine is.
There you go.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But listen, it's, you say that and my, and the girls that I coach in basketball make fun of me.
When I went in shorts, but below a certain point of my calf, the hair is completely rubbed off from me,
from me walking miles every day up and downstairs.
And so I could totally, like if something like that was walking through the woods,
walking through brush, and it would, it would rub, yeah, rub stuff off the hair off.
It's skin color.
I visibly saw it's skin color different on its calves on its inner calf.
Well, at least on one of the inner calves as it was walking.
I, mind you, I only saw two steps.
I, I can visualize the two steps.
So when the step he took out, it was his right leg that I saw.
And it was visibly lighter than the fur that having the headlights hit him.
And see, it was, it was about this big of a space.
And it had, it was about this big of a, of a bald space.
So about 12 and a half, about 12, 16 inches of a bald space on its leg,
and its skin was visibly lighter for that.
And it still had about eight inches below that,
and to his knee was another, I don't quite quite a bit,
another six to 12 inches above, above the bald space.
So if that, I don't know if that can describe how visualized, how big this thing was.
So it was, it was huge.
It was, it was huge, but it wasn't as big as that other blackness thing was up in Georgia.
And sadly now I can, can misery with the skunkate because we suffer from the same.
Harold, Harold is part of our legs.
Oh my gosh.

Just like the alligators and the panther and the coyotes it's just Florida.
You just you you learn you learn to not be surprised at least myself.
There's no first of all if I were to tell anyone that doesn't watch this channel probably or my husband I've never told these stories to anybody mind you you're the first person that we've told these stories to I've never even told most of my family.
They don't care if it's not happening to people directly it doesn't really matter to them unfortunately that's how I feel like a lot of people are out of sight out of mind if it's not pertaining to me.
I'm a little more open to understanding hey I want to hear someone else's story because I want to compare my visuals to their visuals and if we have any similarities at all I want to I want to know once you see things or once things aren't able to be explained if you can't rationalize what you're seeing easily you do everything you can to try to figure out what you've seen.
You go through you work out every scenario in your mind when you've experienced these things and when you finally exhausted and drove yourself nuts then you finally accept the fact that hey I might have saw something that people aren't going to believe I don't even know if I believe it but I don't have another explanation.
So take it as you will but there's definitely stuff out here in this world that you can't always just explain simply.
I now go back to my good friend Wes of Sasquatch Chronicles so famously says when you start when the when the things you're trying to say it is sound more ridiculous than just saying yeah that was a big footer skunk a
that's when you have to you have to acknowledge that okay I can't put you know like you didn't see a bear walking you didn't see a even a Florida Panther you know it's you know you know what it's not.
Yes there are I've been in Florida most of my life I've been in break into now almost 10 years I've never seen I you get really familiar with people and where people usually are certain times people are creatures of habit oh my gosh people are creatures I have it I've never seen anything like this even the creatures you around here the critters running around
are on such a tight schedule because of us of the humans running around we're all on the strict schedule so we're not
interceding and running into one another and everyone respects that if as long as you stay in your boundaries everything's okay but because of that I am
G having all that construction going on I think his routine was either messed up I don't know if he is if he wanders if he travels I don't
know what he's got going on I as in skunk a but I don't know what he's got going on in his life I don't know if he's a wanderer or if he has a home base I'm not sure
how that works out but I think his something was disturbed and he was pissed and he was irritated and he was just trying to find
somewhere to bed down for the day I think what wouldn't you be mad to if you stunk like that and I mean it's going to be terrible God
there's enough tools around though and there's enough water bodies I know he can punch a gator in the head and everything
they won't bother him most skaters won't bother you if you jump in the water but some will I can't lie depends what time of year it is
but there's enough water ways that you would think he would jump he probably that's probably why he smells so bad though
yeah start you get wet your hot and you stink you and more yeah Florida it is hot that's what I imagine is nasty so Marissa did we get through the list yeah
we got we got that was a great lit hey as far as the list go that's a great list and I I just want to say I appreciate I appreciate you
reach out I know like like the near death experience that's how I could say it's written all over your face that's a hard story to to
relive I appreciate that you that you got through that and told us that because I think you know I've just recently had another lady on
from Florida who had talked about her near death experience and yeah and she's this it's and it's so similar like really it's so
similar what happens to people that tell those stories and how they're looking at themselves they hear everything that's
going on and so it's one of two things either your brain is registering everything that's going on
right and we think it's that we're there or we're really there there's only there's only really and I I find it hard to believe that you could
picture everything right from that from that point of view as you're dying I just I don't know that's now people
who are in the neuro science may be able to explain some of that but it sure is it sure is weird that everybody that
experiences that stuff tells very very similar stories and and and I do think you're I do think you're
on to something that when you experience that it thins the veil either that or it's that sanaria priestess who
who I'm still disappointed that she yelled at you but didn't fix the car you know like at least fix the car
so at least give me a heads up about breaking down on the way home so I'm on the side of the road for four more hours
that's that's wild that's why I mean the the crazy thing is is that is such a visual yeah that we've that
we've seen in movies that you've seen into you know stuff and it's like that's just when they've
had to feel like walking into honestly because it affected me so much anything if I think a movie
might have anything about that kind of I don't I can't watch it it I have a I can't I can't do it
it's too real ghosts and stuff don't scare me it's it's the stuff that happens in real life that's
that's what you should be afraid of I've never felt the only time I've ever been scared honestly about
what it came to dying or or being hurt it's it's only been by humans it hasn't been by these things
these cryptids these ghosts or spirits none of them have ever
scared me like that in that way only only people have ever scared me like that
that's a true that's a true statement right there well Marissa thank you so much for for sharing this
stuff and you know I'm glad that you know you felt comfortable enough to come on and and share it
and be safe out there in your neighborhood because it sounds like you got to have your head on a swivel no matter
what you're doing in Florida yes well thankfully we're we're getting out of Florida
soon we're going up I think to to the Alabama area I'm ready for a new new chapter let's
explore it a bit for a while there's a there's you're we're gonna run into a whole another set of things but
that's okay you're ready thank you thank you for tuning in to this week's episode of the
