Now, I talked to Ed Simmons yesterday on the air who was a recently retired longtime Las Vegasides maker. He's dynamite. People have said he's like, Charm is guy they've met multiple people told me the same thing. He made a case for the Broncos in the game. So I was digging today around for like just historically here, active players who has done like really, really well. Is there anybody that sticks out week one? My home's one of the best of all time, but his numbers in week one over his career. He has a 22 to two touchdown to INT ratio. And some of these games now they got beat last year. He threw for 258 a touchdown no INTs against Baltimore. He threw for almost 300 yards one touchdown one INT. Get a solid game against Detroit. They lost that game.

2:02It was a lot of the stuff came the first four or five years in his career. But we're talking about a game with four touchdowns. Three games with three touchdowns. He had a game with five touchdowns in there, which was on 9-11 back in 2022 against Arizona. Is that one Arizona was still good? So he is absolutely crushing a week ones. Boy, that's a big lost one on the old line. I can't get there with the chiefs. There's no way. I, in fact, I beg you to get a bet him. Look at the line. Yes, yeah. Well, you don't know what you're going to get. They're, they're, they're, it's how do you not? Don't you have to have a piece of the Broncos on a teaser up to 8-5? Yeah, I do think we'll see more creativity. The one imagination would be enemy. Coming back. 100% we will. Yep. Lamar Jackson's another one. He said some really good rushing games in his career in week one. And that's been kind of the narrative around it this year. We're going to get back to see the old Lamar. Oh, boy. I mean, great numbers indoors and great numbers against Luana Rumos defense too.

3:03And it and that's whether he does it through the air or with his feet. The Colts were a, a travesty against the run last year. Oh, yes, they were. So this could be big with Henry and Lamar on the ground. What do you make of that number? DeBundo came on earlier gave up Colts plus three and a half. But that again, that's I can't know. I just think Baltimore gets whatever they want offensively. Not to mention it worked out for them last year. Remember the Colts could never win a game week one. They beat Miami last year. But before before that stretch, they couldn't win a game week one. And they were three 11 and one ATS since 2008. And also I don't like the loss of pitman, which Danny Dimes was cooking last year and was so good until the injury. And so was JT. But that's a big loss now. Pierce come on off an injury. You don't have pitman. You have to love Warren. But I think it's a good Baltimore defense when they're healthy and they're healthy. At least to start. Boy, Pierce's number. If he's good to go in this game, though, I get what you're saying off the injury. Was it mid 40s in this game?

4:05Did that low again? Like, I think I saw I see 44 and a half on that. Is that right? Or am I dreaming that up? Old ten and one straight up week one prior to their win last year against Miami? Yeah. Well, that's and I remember by I'll raise my hand on this one. The thing was over early. It was over I think by the second drive. That speaks to how bad two a part of it was. Right. But also many of us thought we nuts. The cults are going to be awful this year. The dolphins are explosive on offense. And I had a piece of the dolphins for sure. And the game was over with him. Just ripped the bandaid off. It's over done. See you. But yeah, Lamar also passing the ball and running the ball in week ones has been absolute. What's more likely? What would you rather bet on the cult covering this game or the Ravens being the best team in the AFC? Ravens best team. Some other guys in week one specifically. Josh Allen seven rushing touchdowns in eight week one games. Travis Kelsey has scored seven touchdowns in week one. I don't think he has much left. I don't think I think the wedding and all that's going to take a lot out of them too.

5:07Justin Jefferson back to back years. Now this goes back to good quarterback play. We'll we see it again with Kyler Murray. In 2022, he let the Packers on fire. 184 yards two touchdowns. The following year he had a buck 50 against Tampa Bay in week one. Yep. Big for him. Big for Murray. What up or shut up time for Murray? Who is 19 and five under run on turf? Interesting here that Ganon is now the DC with the Packers. After he had Murray for all those years in Arizona. So I think he would know how to shut him down and contain him. At least what is Krypton. I just and I think there's an angle here. You mentioned this earlier, right? What if Ganon's a really good DC awful coach? Uh huh. Really good DC. That's possible. I don't think he's a good DC though. Oh, he might not be. I think he was that good and Philly. I thought it was the team. I thought it was a construction. That's right. Yeah. But this is a game the Vikings have to win. You don't have Jacobs. He had guys out with the Packers. You get guys coming back off major injuries and surgeries. You've beat him for the last five at home.

6:10The charge numbers incredible. The defense allowed one passing touch down the last seven games. So this is they had the most turnovers in the league last year. Still one nine games with those crap quarterbacks. They won their what final six games go over their win total. Yeah. Last year. Just be average. That's all we want Murray to be his average. That'll be good enough. Have you noticed, uh, well, Caesar's again, they haven't posted a lot of the kicking props. Also, it sucks. We lost the Westgate out here. So they don't have like numbers at the originate. They had awesome kicking props all the time. But uh, who are you going to be on? Who sticks out this week to you in terms of the overall kicking stuff? Well, it's early. I know last year I did the articles every week and we started eight one on week one. But I want to let it breathe first because it's number one. You got to love Aubrey. But it's everyone knows about Aubrey. And the price is crazy. It's minus 180 to make two field goals. But also it's you figure that Dallas is high scoring and shot and Heimer. Uh, might go for it a lot on fourth down as well.

7:12So I'm concerned about that even though he had the, the fourth most made field goals. Last year and he was so good. But I think minus 180 is too high. Definitely fair. Bear. Still waiting for Caesar to put numbers up on him. But he's a dollar sixty at draft. I tell you a big one though. And a guy was unbelievable last year. But it's flipped because you had a conservative head coach and Tomlin would send him out there from 55 yards on fourth and one and not care. I don't think McCarthy does that. Okay. So you really got to worry about Boswell. Perhaps moving forward as automatic as he is. And how good he is from 50 plus. I see McCarthy and big Mike going in for it on fourth down and passing on the three points more. I see no one about Boswell. I kept the weight on that. Okay. And see how McCarthy attacks it. That's fair. I don't, uh, Dicker. Another guy was top five. Myers went over his prop. Already against the Patriots. Myers was number two. Inmate field goals. Dicker was number three. So those are guys to look at and target. I would say dick, dicker. Bear bearing.

8:13Myers already got their hefty weight with Boswell. And you can't. You can't lay that price with Aubrey. But let me get for the Dallas. You have the bet. There's one. Ever. I'm going to bet every 49er game with Pakistan. Eddie and Pinierro. I don't care where the games being played. The count on that guy from 55 plus. Well, how are you betting him? It's 49ers longest made field goal. Of the conservative. Right. It was a dollar five yesterday. A conservative coach who trusts his kicker, who's great from 50 yards plus and made the 56 yarder. And that's one thing I think you have to do in the Dallas game. No two with Aubrey. That's one thing you have as well. I'll get the number for you in a minute. I think it's a dollar 10. For the longest longest made field goal. Okay. So here's what I'm looking at right now. And we'll we're going to expand on this game coming up. Overall, but the Packers Vikings game. I think this is intriguing. Obviously inside of a dome, although it's September. So whether it's going to be decent or hot everywhere. So Richard for the Vikings. Right. He's right. Okay. I'm sorry. Yeah. He's got to be like.

9:13Okay. So he finished the year extremely strong last year. Two plus field goes out of him as minus 128. However, it's the other kid I'm looking at in this game. It's the rookie trace Mac who was so good in the preseason. And again, this is something that the Packers have not had. And as long as I can remember, like good special teams overall. I mean, you have to go back to like the early years of Mason Crosby. Like it's from 54. I think it's going to be good. And that guy was reliable. It's been a long time since his team has had like a. That kind of a person. Trustworthy. Let's go out there. And this could be. Now. The floor on fourth and three might go for it. However, like fourth and seven. Yeah. With guys that he couldn't trust over recent years. I think what we saw in the preseason, you can trust trace Mac. Two plus is minus 104 in the game. I think there's an angle where trace Mac is going to be used a lot this year. Is good. And that number just goes. I mean, it vanishes by like October. And now we're talking about a guy who's minus 140 to make two.

10:15Also Packers. Longest field goal is plus 105 in the game. I with that Vikings defense. Now, maybe the Packers don't score a bunch overall. But I think he's going to have a couple of opportunities in this game to where Longest and maybe two plus might come into play. Slay with Tennessee's another one. You bet the Titans longest made field goal. He has got a big leg and they'll try to them out there from 50 60. He's got an awesome leg. Trader was excellent for the cults before he got hurt. To expand on the kicking props in this Vikings Packers game on Sunday. Will Riker perfect on field goals from November 2nd through the rest of the year last year. 12:19The last three games of the year he was three for three in all three of those games. Here's what what scares me about this game. I said one thing it's actually more than than one thing. First of all. Has anybody made the case for the Packers yet? I've yet to hear one. No and then it's and a bad season. That's exactly right. Nobody has like on the playoffs other than Adam Scherner. He likes to pack. He likes to win total over. Oh he does. Yep. He's the only person. So that scares me. This also ties in. Green LaFlure has been awesome inside the division. You go back. Green Bay overall 25 17 and 1 ATS in the division. That's nearly 60% since 2019. As an underdog they are 24 13 and 1 against the spread 65%. That's a that's a pretty decent sample size now of games and they have been really really good here.

13:19So but I just. Sky is falling the Vikings lose. I don't care. A week one whatever you just. Everything going wrong for green Bay. You bring in your hot shot quarterback. You have a great coaching staff. Your defense was so good last year. Your quarterback placed stunk. You won nine games. You got to win this game at home. A far from Rogers always had problems there. Or at least what met your own whatever you got to win this game. Here's the thing to and here's where I'm at. Here's where like I just have to look at the Vikings in this game. It's because of the current version of the Packers entering week one. I mean what is Micah Parsons worth to the number? Who knows defensive player might be a half a point. Some people would probably say nothing. Like home feel advantage. JVT broke this down beautifully today and money moves about a point and a half. That's what it's worth. So these teams on a neutral are a complete pick them. Don't we think that the again this might change later in the year. There's also no Josh Jacobs.

14:19I think Lloyd can be fine. Maybe I'm wrong on that. But the bite this Vikings team right now isn't a little bit better than the Packers team that we're going to get. It just seems like it should be a little higher than one and a half to me. Here Ravens called. Yep. I wanted to throw this in quick too. The Sunday night game. Remember last year every Dallas game but one the first half went over. For the entire year. Yes. 16 and one over run and 16 and two run against the Giants. And I mentioned how Dak is owned them also. Remember what happened in week one on that Thursday night against the Eagles? Going to the moon. It can buy like more than 40 points in the first half. Right. Nothing in the second half game stayed under. So when the Ravens and Colts meet last 15 games. 13 and two to the under. Again, these are two different teams now. Ravens a lot of the same guys back. Colts last couple of years kind of the same thing too. But 15 games overall you're going to have a lot of turnover.

15:21Baltimore here's something that you can believe in. Now new head coach a lot of people like Mintar. But since 2017 in road or neutral games 48 and 27. ATS. Daniel Jones 34 and 15 under. When he's an underdog since 2020. See Macon and Veson. Com now. Mentor rest of the sea. Doyle and now the new. O.C. And I thought monkey that a terrible job last year. And I just don't understand how at any point especially in a fourth quarter. Why Henry's on the bench or he doesn't get touches. So I would feed him and I'm not saying he's going to repeat what he did last year. But 1600 yards and all those touchdowns and Indie had all those problems. Stop in the run last year too. Right. So you brought his name up. Mentor people have been making the case coach of the year. Gonna be an upgrade over Harball loss the locker room. I said this about Joe Brady. I'll see it again here about mentor. As a small favorite. Four points or fewer. Rookie head coaches.

16:2171 88 and 10 ats that's 44.7% over the last 10 years. Like we think some of these guys are going to be really good. But do we know right away in week one. Not so sure about that. Can Jonathan Taylor just pick it right back up. Like he's not out of his prime. That's not that's not a yeah. It's interesting question. He has had some because he was was this number's like saying what he was so good.

17:22All right, here's your big boy. Browns at the Jags. You love Jacksonville. You haven't been pocket what minus seven and a half. Yeah, survivor two. Okay. Should we even do teaser talk? On a weekly basis. No, well, if you want to you can fit here. If you can find the numbers again. I mean, this is this is the shortest leash you're ever going to see for a veteran quarterback to start the season where it's already all right. We're home week three. That's what we're going to make our quarterback change. So he hasn't started a game. Then October 20th of 2024. Doesn't have many weapons to work with. Jacksonville was excellent last year. Lawrence had a good year. And I just think it's it's all set up here for watching to fail. Not to mention I'm fan of Monkin as I mentioned. But it's just and even then you're coming out and you're kind of taking shots at San is when you're saying you might have a package for green. You know, right now that they took

18:22and the last draft. So I like what Rizzo said to put a prop up. Well, Gabriel started a game. He can put a prop up. Well, green started game too. So it's it's they've been horrible week one. They've been horrible on the road. He's been bad as a dog. I just think Jacksonville names their score. Okay, so I'm going to erase the last two minutes for my brain. For this comment. I so badly want the Browns to win this game. Well, why is that? Because I want people. I want the reaction to Watson. If he goes out there and looks pretty good. And plus I don't think I'm going to be on Jacksonville for survivor. Again, I'm erasing the last two minutes. What you just said. Yeah, I don't know that you are going to be on Jacksonville in survivor. And I don't know that you have a bet on them. So if that happens and Watson actually looks good, I can't wait for that reaction. And that's really as a football fan. What I kind of just I'm begging to have happened. This look good in two years. Oh, it's I think it's been. It's been longer than that. Yeah, it really has been. That was that game.

19:23At three years ago, it was the game at Baltimore. When they came back in half, right? And then he got hurt and then it was out. Got hurt in that game. They was great in a second half of that win. And then that whole idea of the short leash maybe goes away as well. Like they have the Browns roster again. It's really going to have to play well, though, because it's. Well, who do they go to the fans? The fans can't stand them. And they don't want to watch them on the at all. I don't think it's going to be Sanders. I think there's an angle where they go. The tailing green. They're rookie. Because Gabriel is right. They put them on the IR. Yeah. Wouldn't that be something? What if that happens? What if what I'll flip it here for a second? If Watson is so bad. And they're like, yeah, it's still better than Sanders. Green get out there. And then green looks good. And he saves the day. He'll be a rock star for the rest of his life in that city. He's like 250 to one to win offensive rookie the year. I'm bringing it up for just, you know, I see already sake. Well, I remember how Jacksonville closed the season too. They were excellent. They were in that performance. They gave away Game away against Buffalo.

20:23They did. But also what they when they went to Denver, what they did. They were offensively too. It's one of the best performances of the season. So I'm going to trust them. Open up a can on the Browns. And Rizzo saying bet against them every chance you get. No, don't depth. And not a lot of talent on a cleavant team. That's from that's from Rizzo. Dolphins. Yeah, but he yeah, he doesn't like the defense. That's crazy to me. They have. He also have a good defense. He also, I don't know. I know. He also texted me. I don't like the defense. And then came on with us and said, I like the defense. The fans work with day you catch up, I guess. I actually, I can't believe I'm going to say the following sentence out loud. I have a positive bet on the Miami Delphins. In this game against the Raiders. I'll tell you what that is coming up in about 20 minutes in pocket plays. But Kirk cousins is nine and 24 ATS is a home favorite since 2019. Nine and 24 ATS as a home favorite.

21:26Don't we think that there's an angle. That the I mean, we saw this the reaction when they played the Cardinals. Oh my God, the defense is so bad again this year. Yes. Don't we think that the defense is just going to be terrible yet again? Yeah. I'm kind of in that group of people who believe that would not be surprised of Willis and H. Angle right down the field. I and I have a bet on that. I think we're going to see at least one explosive play from Aliq Willis early. And we might get multiple explosive plays from H. Early in the game. There is not a lot to like with this Dolphins roster. They are. I think we can pretty much all agree on this. From one through 53. They are the worst team in the NFL. Now you want to bet them at plus 250 to have the worst record at sub to you. But overall they are all just think bomb. Yes, it is. It really is. But against this team. I don't know in week one. New coach against new coach. Yeah, that's why trust Kubiak though.

22:26And his wisdom and his scheme. But it's just that's hard to get there with cousins. I agree. Fascinating numbers from the Cowboys and Giants meet on Sunday night. A lot of numbers here. Giants are 17, 3 and 1 under as a dog in this range since 2021. 26 and 10 under as a home dog since 2020. The visual home dogs in week one. 25 and 9, ATS since 2009. You got to flip it because Dak Prescott has owned this team. And he is 34 and 7 straight up 30 and 11 ATS in divisional games since 2017. You're going to find out right off the bat if this defense is ready and improved. And that stat that the bundle gave out earlier. Of the 26 guys that played defense, 17 of them are not in the league. That might be one of my favorite stats of any NFL team entering the year. I know. Yes. Crazy. That's your guy. I like it so much. He's owned them. But this is, you're right.

24:28A lot of hype on this team. I don't get it. The number one most bet over team with the win total. Nice job getting a hard ball in. But you got so many guys and their star players coming back from big injuries. What does Cam look like? What does neighbors look like? Can darts stay out of the tent? Can darts stay healthy? You know, will he get concussed? That's the other thing. And certainly they have a good defense. But a lot of weapons. But I just think we're asking too much. Mitch, they won four games. Even though they win a lot of those games and who can forget the Bears game and the Denver game. And you fire the defensive coordinator. While the season's going on. But this is a big jump. We're just saying in that division, we're going to win nine games and have a hell of a year right off the bat for a hard body. I think that's too aggressive. Here's my ultimate Giants prediction. They are going to be very popular in 2027. That's my prediction with the Giants. Maybe too popular. I'll add this by the way on Sunday night football since 2017.

25:28Dogs overall. 28, 19 and two against the spread. The Giants have played 11 straight unders on Sunday night football. And they are averaging 10.7 points per game in that span. But this is a completely different version of the team. In my opinion, they have, they have, they were, imagine those games that you just talked about went the other way. Like that's that's solid team you're talking about last year. Yeah. And the hype I think on this team would be it already is there. Oh, it's easy. But it'll be to the moon. Yeah, the Detroit game, the Denver game is your cargo game. That's right. How many of those are you going to let? Slip away. But the other thing though, it's going to be quite the atmosphere. And it's going to be emotional. It's going to be tough. It'll be tough tonight. The US open with Tiafowl against Shelton. 9 11 was on a Tuesday. Yeah. Monday night football was the Giants and the Broncos. And the Giants were on the road.

26:29But they opened up too because they they lost in the Super Bowl the prior year. And I already we already referenced and I retweeted it. The man in the red bandana that you can watch on ESPN.com. And I retweeted if you want to just watch it on X as well. And what wells did an incredible story. Ernie, of course, he was the GM. A couple of days after the attacks, I got a voicemail in my office from a Giants fan who worked at Cantor Fitzgerald. 658 of the 960 workers were gilded when the plane hit the North Tower. He left a voicemail. I want you to know I was at the game in Denver. My love of the Giants saved my life. My kids have a father day because of my love for the Giants. They played that for the whole team. And then we also got to know because we had a UFL team. Of the locals. You did the games I did the coaches show. We got to meet Jim Fossil who was the coach of that team. And he was a great man. He raised a ton of money and he told the story of going

27:33a ground zero and what it was like and just try to try to gild them, build them some positivity and appreciate. Tell them how much they appreciated that they were heroes. And even Tiki Barber is quoted in this article talking about the sinking, sinking feeling when he realized that the Giants stadium parking lot is a commuter lot. And people park in the lot and they get on the bus to the city. And he realized those cars there, those people are staying, they're never coming back. This is Jim Fossil years ago. May you rest in peace on a rich eyes and show. Paul Tagged, dude, made the right decision. He made the right decision. I mean, we were we were not ready. I mean, there was all kinds of things that were so numberable to us. It's like Giants stadium was a ground where people would drive their car into Giants stadium, park at the morning, get on a bus into the New York City. Okay, there might be 200 cars parked there. All right. And I remember seeing it in that night when I left,

28:33that parking lot was full and it's never that way. And I went, oh my god, I mean, how many people terrorists that parked their car here? When I go back in the next morning, about six o'clock in the morning, I'd say there was 150 cars still there. And I thought they just made me sick to think those people parked their cars and went into work in the city and they probably parrised. And Rich, you know, I got so many letters from people that said, you know, thanks for going to the Super Bowl because now you're on Monday night football and the game was so late, it's finished after midnight that I decided to go in late. I wasn't going to get there early. I was going to take half a day. And if you get word on Monday night football, I'd have probably been one of those towers. And, you know, people saying, thanks for that. I know. Gee, really. Oh, God, it's incredible. And Tiki Barber continued. It was like the ghosts were sitting right next to us as we were trying to continue to get ready for the season.

29:36It was emotionally challenging. And I don't think a lot of us were prepared for that. No. Kevin Malwai, a large part of my town, worked in the financial district, all were my neighbors. You go to the train station a week later, there's hundreds of cars parked at the station. And the owners are never coming back. I have watched and read a lot as most of you have as well today, like on social media. I cannot. I've watched it probably countless times. The first pitch from George Bush, President Bush, that year. Any any the pressure that was on him in that moment. And it happens to be a sporting event. And then the dude throws it right down the middle of the plate. Oh, yeah, jeeter. Don't bounce it. They'll they'll. They'll boo you. Don't skip it. They'll boo you. I mean, I had when I watched it over and over again this morning, ultimate goosebumps and thinking about it and talking about it right now, I got the goosebumps coming back again. Now, that's interesting. He said that too, that tagliable made the right call.

30:36Well, no doubt. But in this article, like the inside the White House and the Bush administration, they're saying, you got to play. And there's no way we're playing. No way. Are you nuts? And they're like, well, we think you should play it. I'll help the country. And there's no chance. You can cut that out right now. Yeah. But you're right. That was. And we that was one of the best interviews we ever did. I still like we're the only people ever to interview Piazza and Clemens at the same time. Probably. And I know hyperbole week one of the NFL in Las Vegas is one of the best sporting weekends of the entire year. I'm not going to tie it as good as a super bowl because it's a super ball. And it's amazing. It's it's not like first four days of March madness. But week one NFL to have it back. That's top five in my opinion. Charles Barkley had a great line.
