Forest Gump - Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get

Today is National Chocolates Day. Not candy. Not ice cream. Chocolate.
Chocolate is one of those treats that makes you feel good and has some health benefits too, due to antioxidants like flavanols and polyphenols. These compounds help combat oxidative stress and support various bodily functions when consumed in moderation. This is especially true if you eat dark chocolate which contains less sugar and more cocoa. Dark chocolate lowers blood pressure, improves blood flow and reduces heart disease risk. And it enhances brain function too, improving memory and reaction time. You really can't go wrong eating a small dose of dark chocolate.
And that brings us to today's quote from Tom Hank's character, Forest Gump who once said:

"Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get"
Forest Gump was right... if you don't read the map that comes with the box that is. If you just randomly grab a chocolate you might get nugget, you might get nuts, maybe some caramel. Just like in life you never know exactly what your going to get.Except with dark chocolate... you do know you will get an oxytocin kick and some magnesium and those brain and heart boosting flavanols and polyphenols.
So today, despite not knowing exactly how the day is going to unfold... eat chocolate. Good chocolate. Slowly.
Not because you need it. but because Chocolate helps. In more ways than one.
