Former ethics czar slams Trumps grift 'The ultimate guardrail is the American people'

In late 2025, former White House ethics czar Norm Eisen intensified his criticism of President Trump’s business entanglements, describing them as a sprawling "grift" and a "corrupt" enrichment scheme. During an appearance on MS NOW on December 23, 2025, Eisen argued that while courts and legal challenges are necessary, "the ultimate guardrail is the American people" who must reject such corruption.
