Former New Mexico AG Gary King Faces New Epstein Scrutiny (Part 2) (9/9/26)

In this episode we're getting right back to the article about Gary King from the Santa Fe New Mexican, and the headline of the article is, he wasn't my friend, former New Mexico AG Gary King, distances himself from Jeffrey Epstein. Once again this article was authored by Clara Bates. 2014 Donations The next time that the pair talked was one king ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2014 he said. While King now maintains he told Epstein not to donate, Epstein went on to contribute more than $35,000 to King in 2014, the New Mexican reported. Please call Gary King, he looks very forward to speaking with you, Epstein's assistant wrote to him on June 5th. Now remember this is all after everybody knew what Epstein was. King can say whatever he wants now and he can try and change history, but the truth is what it is.

1:02And the truth is Mr. King was another person who decided to look the other way, and that's because they thought that Epstein could be helpful, and who gives a shit if a bunch of people have their lives ruined by Jeffrey Epstein. As long as he can help me, that's been the ongoing theme hasn't it. Later that day on June 5th 2014, King wrote an email to Epstein thank you for the opportunity to speak with you today. It means a lot to have your friendship and support, and directed him on how to contribute. King said it was likely his campaign staff who sent follow-up emails, which was a standard letter sent out to the solicit donations. Was it likely that or was it that? I think people are done with maybes, and they want the real story. And it seems like Mr. King is still playing games. He said that when Epstein reached out to him to donate, and they spoke by phone that day, King actually rejected any contribution. Oh well, Mr. King, what a hell of a guy.

2:05The sort of guy that you want running your state, huh? Just the kind of makeup we want our governors to have. No person who's running for office would want to be associated with or get campaign contributions from somebody who had been convicted of the crimes that Jeffrey Epstein had been convicted of, he said. Well, most people wouldn't even associate with them. Never mind except their phone calls, or have donations come in that you have to return. That should just be known, right? From everybody involved. Hey, look, Jeffrey Epstein sick dude, if he calls. Tell him the answer is no. We don't want his money. We don't want his support. In fact, if I become governor, I'm opening a case on his ass. Did Mr. King do that? We all know the answer. When I told him that I wouldn't accept the contribution, he basically hung up on me, King said, and there it is. The unassailable defense. Look, he hung up on me. He didn't even like me. Well, how can we verify that? Can we ask Jeffrey Epstein? I don't know. I guess we can't do that.

3:07So how do we verify what Mr. King is saying? The answer is we can't, and we have to take him at his word. Now, if that's something you're interested in doing, that's great. Me personally. No, thank you. Don't believe a word any of these politicians say, and I don't care what fucking letters in front of their name, Republican, Democrat, everything in between. The whole lot of them, untrustworthy. Shortly after King and Epstein spoke by phone, Epstein and his attorney were corresponding about how best to donate to King. Yeah, I'm sure King told them not to donate, and then Epstein decided, you know what, we're going to donate anyway. Does that sound logical to you? Now, of course, we can't discount anything when it comes to Epstein, but a sure sounds to me like Mr. King is just looking for an excuse and a way out. Unfortunately for him, we're not going to give that to him. Epstein directed his staff to make contributions to King's campaign, but his longtime attorney,

4:09Darren Indyke noted, in a June 14 email, that King's platform included fighting crimes against children. Do you risk additional news coverage regarding his accepting of your contributions in Dykro, to Epstein, noting King's campaign website promised to strengthen New Mexico's child crime laws. Epstein responded, good catch. Let's use companies or trusts. Always a workaround, right? Always a loophole. Always a way for these rich people to do what they want to do. And it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks. And the only reason Mr. King has anything to say now is because he was outed. But if he was a real man, he would have come out previously and said all of this. But like the rest of these roaches in Jeffrey Epstein's world, they had to be compelled to do so. And if you didn't do anything wrong, if you weren't involved in any of the abuse or anything like that, I would think that you'd be mortified, that you spent even

5:10one second with this dude, and you'd want to talk to every single authority that wanted to talk to you. But that's not what we've seen. Throughout the years, these people ever retreated behind lawyers and Kandas statements. And then when the files come out, oh, it's a whole different ballgame, right? People like Kathy Rumler, Larry Summers, Mr. Lutnik, and the rest of them, well, they can no longer lie to us. Because we have the emails to back up everything we've been saying for the past seven years. Asked why Epstein would have donated after King told him not to, King said he didn't donate. There are companies that he's affiliated with. Oh, well, in that case, no big deal. Who do you think runs those companies? Where do you think the money's coming from? Did it magically appear in the money jar? There is a tree in the backyard, and money grows off of it? Or did Jeffrey Epstein use the Zilgotten Gains to fund your bitch ass campaign? What's the truth, Mr. King? The money was donated to King's campaign through several different US Virgin islands,

6:14based companies registered to Epstein's address. Those donations, too, came under scrutiny after September 2014 report by the new Mexican trace of companies' addresses. Look, there's no doubt that he was getting money directly from Epstein. And what were to believe that he didn't have any idea that it was coming in from the trust? That when he had that phone call with Epstein, Epstein didn't lay it all out for him? Okay, sure. Mr. King, just another man that's been victimized by Jeffrey Epstein, the world's greatest criminal. That's what they'd have you believe. But the truth is, the vast majority of these scumbags were willing participants, maybe not in the abuse, but in the enabling and being adjacent and trying to benefit from the crumbs that fell from this bitch ass motherfuckers table. Whenever it came to my attention that we had received contributions from Epstein-affiliated organizations in 2014, then I instructed my campaign finance organization

7:16to either send those back or send them to nonprofits in Santa Fe that were dealing with victims of domestic violence, King said. Always the same thing, right? Let me unwrap myself in my charitable give-ings. I'm such a great guy. No, bitch, why'd you take the money in the first place? The day before the news of Epstein's 2014 donation to King appeared in print, King was flying to Washington with his staffers on a plane Epstein at Help Charter. Epstein was not on the flight, but several emails, detail his involvement, and setting up the charter. Again, why are you taking anything from this dude after 2014? You have to know that it comes with a whole ass lot of stink. Please call Gary King when you have a moment at Seen's assistant wrote to Epstein, August 21st, in an email released by the US Justice Department. He said he was returning your call, but also wanted to speak to you about possibly using your plane to get him from Santa Fe the evening of September 8th around APM, so he can make a breakfast in DC on September 9th. He says he can pay for the fuel and landing airport fees.

8:23King in interviews this week said he never sought out Epstein's assistance in arranging the flight and his name might have been used at shorthand for his campaign. No, you're the one that's running, it's your campaign. Sorry, the buck stops with you. I'm so tired of that bullshit. Oh, well, it was my campaign who said it. No, bitch, you're the one behind the campaign. They're speaking on your behalf, and it's just like when they talk about systemic issues within the BOP. Well, those issues are because the people you have working don't give a fuck. Okay, that's why we have issues. If they'd follow the guidelines, if they do everything they're supposed to do, breaking news, a lot of those issues go away. So it's about the people, right? It's not just about the system. Who do you think is putting those rules into effect or not putting those rules into effect? Actual people. So if we don't hold people accountable, then we get this bullshit. Oh, it was my campaign. No, it was you. King didn't know Epstein helped arrange the flight. He said,

9:24and wonders if it was former governor Bill Richardson, who had a range for King to meet with union leaders in DC, who was responsible. Richardson, who was friends with Epstein for years, died in 2023, all more than friends. And I don't understand why there's not more being made of Bill Richardson and George Mitchell. Is it because the party that they're in? Because if that's the case, man, I got a lot to say. You know, there's a lot of people that have a whole bunch to say about Jeffrey Epstein, but they conveniently leave Bill Richardson and George Mitchell out of the conversation. I assure you that Virginia was not so willing to leave them out of the conversation, considering what she said, and considering the allegations she made against both men. So I would think that would be a bigger conversation, especially George Mitchell. But like usual, just swept under the rug. One of my staff members said, well, I think that we got the

10:27information on where to lease the airplane from Bill Richardson, King said, I think it's more than possible that Richardson might have called whoever he knew there and said, hey, Gary King needs an airplane to fly to DC. And people, when you're campaigning, people use your name for all kinds of stuff. Well, yeah, okay. So that's an excuse. I guess that settles it. People were using his name. Who are the people that used your name? Can we get a list of them? Can we talk to them? Or was it just the system? King's campaign reported spending about 22,000 for the flight, which Epstein helped arrange through a company called in Jed, Federal Files, and Campaign Finance Reports submitted by King Show. Five passengers flew on that September 8th 2014 charter flight, including Holland, according to a flight information sheet. There's no evidence she was involved with setting up the flight or new, who helped arrange it. It was maintained she didn't know about the Epstein connection. Well, look, this is on Gary King. Now Holland, she has her own things to answer for, right?

11:29What did you know? When did you know it? Go on record, let's hear it. But this is really about Mr. King. He's the one who set this up. He's the one that was pals with Epstein. And he's the one who accepted donations. The only other contact King remembers was in Epstein's later years, perhaps between 2014 and 2018, when Epstein called to complain. The Santa Fe County Sheriff was harassing his employees. He felt like whenever his ranch foreman was driving to Santa Fe, that the county sheriff would stop him and ask him questions. King said, King remembers telling him he need to take up the issue with the sheriff. Oh, I'm sure that's what you told him. I'm sure you didn't call the sheriff. King was Attorney General at the time Epstein's crimes in Florida became well known, but he didn't open an investigation. Why not? I think that's the salient question. And nobody's really asked me that question, but the answer to that is that as a prosecutor, you need probable cause, King said. I don't think that pleading guilty to a crime and another jurisdiction is probable

12:31cause to trigger an investigation. Oh, no, not at all. No probable cause whatsoever. As Attorney General, you don't pick up the phone and call Florida and say, Hey, what's the deal with this guy? He's a resident here too. If I had a tip, if I had somebody had come to me during that time, period and said, we saw young girls going out to the Zorro Ranch, then we would have pursued it. He said, Oh, yeah, I'm sure you would have. The truth is you had no gut for it. That's what it comes down to. Former Attorney General Hector Baldaris, who assumed office in 2015, opened an investigation in 2019 into Epstein, which was ultimately suspended at the request of federal prosecutors. Baldaris, in a letter to the truth commission in July, said he began investigating as a result of news reports, and he didn't inherit any case file on Epstein from prior administrations. He wrote, without any originating referrals or investigative leads,

13:32while that's because it wasn't being pursued by Mr. King. He'll have you believe it's because he didn't know. I have a different opinion. Despite the lack of an existing case file at the office of the Attorney General, I was concerned that if Epstein had a residence in New Mexico, an investigation needed to be launched based on the public reporting alone, Baldaris wrote, The Truth Commission has said it plans to investigate whether there were missed opportunities to investigate Epstein in earlier years. King said he'd be glad to talk to the truth commission, not only about his experiences, but to provide advice on legislative reforms. Oh, that's exactly what we need. This guy put his hands back in the mashed potatoes. As the Attorney General, I had written and found a sponsor to carry my human trafficking laws. My whole career has been working to help protect victims of domestic violence and victims of sexual assault, he said. Oh, well, Mr. King, the hero of it all. The man, the myth, the legend, Mr. King. This guy is even reading what

It's only been now that I've been out of office for ten years that there are a group of people out there who feel like attacking my character is going to forward their political career. It's going to get them more clicks, he said, or maybe just maybe you're being outed now in a more public manner. Could that be it, Mr. King? And that question is rhetorical.
