So Claire's Kamogi signed back into a division one B final and to discuss the season so fair joined by a manager Eugene Fudy.
Eugene truly that was the plan at the start of the year and now into the final with the game to spare you have to be delighted with that.
Yeah, yeah, of course, it was one of our targets that when we started out as a member to take it back into that final.
It's important for the girls for development and improvement that we keep playing the top teams.
You know, that they've done well. We start the campaign with a draw against Dublin away.
And you know, so I have to know how you're going to be first game out and play very well up there.
Can we draw and then we had a home game, it's back sort.
We won and a weight limit.
And part of doing that.
It's got a short great determination. Never, never, never, never do that.
As a children, we can work to victory and then we see that for the first victory in Cusy Park this year and it's down on Saturday.
So yeah, very pleasing and dramatic that of scores and board and played well.
Yeah, and you look at the squad as a whole now you've got some household names over the last couple of years, such as on your Auckland and Roisin Beggley on the bench for a couple of games.
You've got some serious strength and depth and some serious firepower there now.
Yeah, yeah, and we have shoulders of a couple of girls back to hasn't played in a couple of years and then new girls like me have made.
Who's made a make no day of edition really grown in confidence and learning the game.
Now on the back is back as back as well.
Out of the last two or three years for injury and Roisin at my hands and feet is another huge addition.
Men's can back from injury. So yes, it's all a composite of the warm for the girls.
Yeah, and I suppose you mentioned a couple of names there, but Lauren is the standout and you've seen what she's done in the first couple of games.
That got that game winning goal down in Limerick as well.
It's been such a huge addition to have her back as the focal point that full forward line.
Yeah, no, she's very honest there and drunk it gives it a roll and she's really worked hard to get back from an operation and get back to the same level as she was before.
She's a huge addition to the team, but look at it as proof was inserted.
There's 36 girls in the panel.
They're all hungry to play. They all want to play and it's a great way to be.
Yeah, and especially this time of year that that's quad rotation with the 36 girls.
So crucial to give a bit of game time in to everyone's legs.
Yeah, it's only going to get 12 or because we play off here on next Saturday.
Between the three championship starts and the league findings down the middle of that as well on the 12th of April.
Yeah, it's certainly all guns blazing for the next couple of weeks, but if you're looking at the league campaign software,
the character of the squad is something that's really jumped off the page when you look at the battling draw against Dublin.
They've had their back and forth with Wixford in the last couple of seasons getting that victory and then sticking all the way out to the end and getting that goal in the dying seconds against Limerick.
They've shown real character in the campaign software.
Yeah, they have to be prepared to have and the amount of work they're doing a training and draw the physical side and draw the long runs and everything.
The winter dream is really enough and they're all eager to perform and improve and draw.
So we just kind of build our ring of steel around us and draw as it's all set.
The girls mean home games, you have to make it in us or wherever we play.
Kind of a fortress and make it really difficult for teams to come here and take points off us.
And of course, you mentioned that awfully game coming up, but into that one be final with the game to spare.
It's going to be against Dublin or Limerick. You've played both of them before obviously, but look at looking forward for a toss against either them, whichever one it ends up being.
Yeah, look at two good teams.
We're a great battle of both. I'm already a share and.
And being if it's Limerick, the girls would know each other from play with you and all that.
So there's a bit of rivalry there. Dublin draw.
Come down from one year last year. So they'll be really hungry to get back up there again.
So whoever plays going to be a tough tough day out.
Yeah, and that hunger to get up to one is is evident throughout the entire division.
And you've got such serious quality that you want to test yourself up against in that one a division.
It's crucial for the development of of any team, but especially Claire Camoghi to get up into one a and really test yourself against the cream of the crop in the country.
Yeah, yeah, look at it. It is.
You always want to play at the highest level and be put yourself up against the legs of the parks and tips of this world.
And, you know, and, and, and, and our girls draw really eager to follow through that and drop.
Hopefully, what will we play that we can bring in performance and the result cause our way.
Yeah, I suppose a couple of big developments off the field for Claire Camoghi this year as well as was the main news at the start of the year was the team wearing the same jerseys as the men's team.
I suppose in terms of morale for the group, what did that do?
I was huge as a huge bonus to get and had it on board as a sponsor.
And so this integration coming up and on that.
And we're one of the four second counties to get it done.
I think Kerry have it done as well. So we're there.
But I mean, for the girls and judges to be able to draw when we told them an honest and huge surprise and delight in the group.
And look, it's great for Claire Camoghi to have a high profile.
And like Pat Adal and sponsors me, he's been, he's been the backbone of Claire G for 30, 30 years, I suppose, as a sponsor teams and all that.
And it's great to have him supporting the ladies now as well. He's also supporting the miners, which won the weekend as well.
So it's great.
Yeah, and that's got such a huge trickle down benefit. I suppose for future generations when you're looking at any care team,
whether it be Lorna Maca, whether it be Tony Kelly, they're, they're kidded out in the same jersey.
Yeah, yeah, that's true. I mean, it's great. It's great for those girls now.
They're kind of on a.
A pair of sellers with it with the boys. I know the boys get all the cloud.
It's nice to see the girls get recognized as well, which is a sponsor.
And it's supposed to be just gone. Had the Kerry Camoghi race night as well, taking place in the grove.
And I had a good crack with that, I'm sure.
Yeah, and look at it.
It's taking this opportunity to thank all the sponsors.
Anyone, people replaced ads, right?
There was over 570 hearts of salt as well.
So all those people contribute that was a great night.
And, you know, with a few winners in the night and be a crack, especially after winning and getting that.
Finally spot sealed down around the afternoon.
The girls were able to enjoy themselves in and have a night off.
Yeah, and you've seen you mentioned the input there from from the public,
which you've seen seen a couple of the videos and the crowd that was present on the night as well.
It was great to get such huge support from everyone for an event such as that.
Yeah, yeah, look, it's our second year run race night.
And it's gone off very well. And so again, there's a great buying.
And there's a great band among the group.
And the parents came and friends came to support and did as well.
And it was just a nice good crack and fun for everybody.
Yeah, so whether it be on the field or after field,
the momentum kind of snowballing for Claire Kamogi at the moment.
And hopefully it stays gone that way.
That's the plan there.
That's what I'm trying to do.
Build a video and go watch.
