Fourteen-Year-Old Badger Hopeful: Nicholas Payne Jr.

On March 15th, the Wisconsin Badgers are targeting a super-young in-state talent, Nicholas Payne, Jr., a class of 2029 wide receiver.

From Racine, Wisconsin, this 14-year-old already boasts impressive speed with a 4.56 second 40-yard dash and a 40-inch vertical jump.

He stands 5 foot 11 and weighs 160 pounds.

Earlier this week, on March 13th, Payne announced on social media that he has an upcoming visit to the Badgers campus.

While a lot can change over the next few years before he even graduates high school, his athletic tools have coaches paying close attention.

His high school defensive line coach, at Racine Case, sees him fitting as either a wide receiver or a defensive back, which gives him versatility that,

college programs love. For, Wisconsin, landing local stars like this could boost recruiting in the Midwest.

Meanwhile, he's drawing interest from other schools too. Just a day before his Badgers post, Indiana extended an unofficial visit invite signaling that Payne is already making ways nationally.

As he keeps developing these next few years, expect more big programs to join the mix and keep an eye on this rising Badger hopeful.
