I'm Dave Anthony Fox News for the final night of the Republicans first ever midterm convention that President Trump posted on Tuesday's social is bigger and better than anyone thought. He closed out night one with an hour 45 minute speech. Democrats have nominated the most extreme and dangerous group of candidates for the House and Senate ever to seek office. These people are radical left. Many pledges if Republicans win and keep control of Congress. You win with us and you get $5,000. It will be called the Trump dividend. That's $5,000 for every U.S. adult citizen as Democrats blame the president for the cost to the Iran conflict. Oil surging up more than 3% gas prices up 12 cents the last two days to easels at a new record high. And as Fox's Jimmy Kassala reports, we got an inflation update this morning. The prices at the wholesale level, the producer price index rose 4.10% in August.
Higher gasoline prices were a factor for the year ending in August. The PPI rose 5.4%. That annual wholesale inflation was more than half a percent higher than in July. We're learning more about Iran's retaliation this week targeting a U.S. base in Jordan to more American attacks destroying Iran and oil tankers. Eight fighter jets at a subsonic attack aircraft suffered damage during the attack on Tuesday night. This originally reported by CBS and confirmed to Fox News. And 810 war talk has a missing wing. 8 F-15 fighters all lightly damaged but returned to service. No Americans died in the assault. Fox's Jonathan Savage today marks one year since Charlie Kirk, the prominent conservative was assassinated giving a speech at Utah Valley University where the Sim Memorial Service tonight. Caleb Chilka was a few feet away when Kirk was shot a member of the Turning Point USA organization, Tells Fox. After he's gone, he was still here. He was still out. There is more selling on Wall Street. The Dow is dropping 304 points. It's lost well over 1,000 this week. The Nasdaq is down 178. It's a 46 point decline for the S&P 500. As oil prices surge, WTI at one point this morning was back over 100 bucks a barrel that could cost more for us at the gas pump soon. There's even more worry about artificial intelligence beyond concerns about data centers and its use in education and potentially taking some jobs away. It's a warning for a researcher to anthropic who's resigning. Anthropic employee Jacob Coxen. He sounded the alarm to Fox last night. He says AI is on the path to become a super weapon that could end humanity. I think you have to think of this as an arms race. This technology is not ordinary technology. It's not like other forms of innovation. This is essentially a super weapon. Considering Coxen was only employed by Anthropic for four months, some have raised questions about his intentions. Coxen had worked at OpenAI before Anthropic. A senior researcher at Anthropic who is responsible for making sure AI is created in human interest
and values, supported his fears. Writing quote, Jacob is correct here. We really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans. That's Fox Business Network's Madison all worth. We got an unemployment update this morning showing a very slight decrease in first time jobless claims down 1,200, 6,000. The number of people continuing to collect unemployment benefits also barely changed till about 1.77 million. The NFL is back kicking off the new season with a rematch of the Super Bowl that ended like the last ones. Seattle won again. There is May Quick Look was closed. Throw it up in the air. That interception with 21 seconds left sealed into the Z-Hawks. Patriots quarterback Drake Mays third pick of the game. Seattle beat of England 1310 on NBC and tonight.
