This blowout victory advances the Gamecocks to the sweet 16 for the 12 straight season. From the tip-off, South Carolina took control with a quick 8-0 run and never looked back. They forced 15 turnovers in the first half alone and grabbed way more rebounds, outpacing the Trojans 17-2 in the opening quarter. Standout performances came from players like Senior Center, Medina, O'Cote, who posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 boards in just 13 minutes. Joyce Edwards led all scores with 20 points while Raven Johnson added key steals in her 1,000th career point. The Gamecocks built a 30-point half-time lead on a 16-to-nothing run, then kept pouring it on with an 11-to-nothing spurt in the third quarter. Six players finished in double figures, sealing the dominant win.
