This goes back to the year he was coming out and there were some people that wanted the lines to draft him. I thought he was going to be injury prone and I didn't think that he felt a little Joey Harrington to me where his stick wouldn't play in an NFL locker room. I was probably overstating the case to be honest with you because what people look like in front of the media isn't necessarily what they look like to their teammates. Well I actually think I came to that conclusion for the wrong reasons. I bring it up because Cooper Rush is getting the start because Tuah is hurt again and it's

1:05I don't wish the young man ill will in any way. I was hoping the lines didn't draft them. They didn't and how I picked Atlanta as a sleeper team this year. I was going to play the Falcons this week but this news came out so I couldn't do it. I mean fire chips and all but I'm not complaining. You were going to back to it. I was going to back to it. I thought this would give you the impetus to back Cooper Rush. I was going to take it now. I moved on. I moved on and took it was basically an anti-clevelant bet more than it was in projax and bill bet. Sure sure I understand that anti-clevelant. Okay. The huge stories today and Detroit I mean it's football Friday and we thank everybody for getting their predictions in. But there's a lot of people probably just turning on their radios in the back half of the show that didn't hear the statement from Dylan Larkin. Over the past couple of weeks Rebwings leadership and I have had several in-depth discussions. I've appreciated those candid conversations and I will be at training camp with my teammates.

2:06When new leadership is in place we'll talk further about the direction of the team. We'll keep those conversations private and I'll keep my focus on the season ahead and on the guys in the room. Statement from the Rebwings and we don't know who from the Rebwings but we've decided that the new GM is an AIG. The organization is being run by artificial intelligence. We look forward to seeing Dylan on the rest of his teammates at LCA for the start of training camp prayer for the upcoming season. Dylan's under contract as a member of the Detroit Rebwings and conversation regarding his future. With the club will take place privately when a new hockey operations leader has been named. The Rebwings will begin the 2627 season without a captain being named. Any further discussions or decisions regarding this topic will be named once a new hockey operations leadership is in place. Make sense. We're going to put somebody in charge and we'll see. But as of now Dylan Larkin will be a Red Wing when training camp starts which given the fact that there's nobody pulling the strings on trades. I think it probably stands to reason. Oh yeah. Look, it's a real strange situation with the Detroit Red Wings right now.

3:07I appreciate that they had this statement come out a week before training camp starts or six days before training camp starts. I mean, something had to be said. It just gets out in front of it. I can't imagine that they're not going to have a general manager named by next week. I was kind of waiting for that to fall later on this afternoon but it hasn't to this point. I mean, I thought it was going to happen a couple of weeks ago. They were announced. They still haven't announced it. But they're going to have to because Simon Edvinson does no contract. He's a restricted free agent. Like he's go is he part of this team or is he part of a trade that's going to happen as soon as the GM is hired. I don't know. But I suspect that something is going to happen major in the next few days. And the other story is Jalen Durin. According to the Athletics Sam Amick and Hunter Patterson, he's got 21 days to decide what to do. But he is strongly considering taking the $9.6 million qualifying offer which is significantly less than what the pistons have offered.

4:10But it will get him to unrestricted free agency in one year. Per league sources Detroit's last offer was a five year deal in the $190 million range. Durin who is eligible to receive a $5.287 million contract is seeking at least $200 million. And then the other thing about this speaks volumes that Durin is chosen to keep his distance from the team this summer. Per league source. Durin didn't attend the San Diego team many camp K Cunningham coordinated and skipped the Labor Day party at Tom Gores home. I guess I'm like, could have been a scheduling conflict, could have been, could have been scheduling conflict. But this might might be getting ugly. Yeah. I tend to think he's I think he's pissed. He's definitely mad. But there was a Jalen Durin had some kind of charity event or whatever. And some of his teammates showed up to that. So it's not like he hasn't seen his teammates at all this summer. You know, so that's why I always hold out for like maybe there was a schedule in conflict for the San Diego thing. But or maybe he's just really pissed and didn't want to show off. But I also think he's getting some horrible advice from his agent.

5:11It feels that way. I mean, when you go to the open market as a restricted for agent, nobody offers you anything. What does that tell you? And I appreciate that he wants a ton of money. And it's actually a lot less than what he could get with a max contract. But at least he knows that he doesn't he's not deserving of the max contract. Now, how far apart are they really? We don't know. The report is the pistons have offered somewhere in the neighborhood of $190 million and that he wants around $200 million. That doesn't seem like it's all that far apart. I mean, a couple of million dollars a season. Maybe you want to give him a 205 million for the whole contract. And does that get it done? I don't know. But at this point, it's just getting done. It's getting dumber and dumber by the day that this hasn't been this hasn't gotten done. Because I you're not getting a better deal from anybody else. Wayne out of cell.
