On March 25, the Georgia Guidestones, a massive granite monument near Elberton, Georgia, stood

Of it, on July 6, 2022, around 4.30 a.m., commissioned in 1979 by a man using the pseudonym

R.C. Christian, the 19-foot tall structure featured inscriptions in eight languages promoting

ideas like keeping the world population under 500 million and, guiding reproduction wisely,

it also served as an astronomical calendar and sundial.

Local banker Wyatt Martin handled the payments after Christian revealed his real name privately,

but swore to keep it secret.
