My name's Mackenzie, and I started to go fund me
for the adoptive mother of a nonverbal,
autistic child.
The mother had lost her job because she wasn't able
to find adequate care for this autistic child.
So she really needed some help with living expenses,
paying some back bills.
So I launched a GoFundMe to help support them
during this crisis.
And we raised about $10,000 within just a couple of months.
I think that the surprising thing was
by telling a clear story and just like really being
very clear about what we needed,
we have some really generous donations
from people who are really moved
by the situation that this family was struggling with.
GoFundMe is the world's number one fundraising platform
trusted by over 200 million people.

A cozy story, it's one of my favorites,
all about a little girl and three furry friendly bears.
It's called Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Okay, let's get all snuggled in.
Are you comfy?
Good, it's a very special story
and I am so excited to share it with you.
Our story starts deep, deep, deep in a big green forest
and hidden in that forest was a little tiny house
and it was the house where the three bears lived.
Oh, look, here they are now.
There was a great big papa bear
with a deep, rumbly voice.
There was a kind medium-sized mama bear
with a soft sweet voice
and there was a teeny-weeny baby bear
with a little squeaky voice.
Inside their cozy little house everything came in threes.
See, they had three chairs, a big one, a medium one,
and a little one and on the table,
three bowls for their porridge
and what do you think was upstairs?
You're right, three comfy beds.
One bright sunny morning, mama bear
cooked up some yummy porridge for breakfast,
but oh dear, it was too hot.
She said, let's go for a walk in the woods
while our porridge cools down.
So off they went.
So the bears were out for their walk, but guess what?
Someone else was walking in the forest that day too.
A little girl with hair is bright and yellow as the sun.
Her name was Goldilocks
and as she was skipping through the trees,
she saw the bear's cozy little cottage.
Oh, she said to herself, what a sweet little house.
I wonder who lives there.
Goldilocks kipped out right up to the door
and gave a little knock, knock, knock, knock.
Hmm, no one answered.
So, do you know what she did?
She gave the door a little push.
It swung open and in she went.
So there she was all by herself inside the bear's house
and she was feeling very curious
and her tummy was starting to rumble.
She was a little bit hungry.
The first thing she saw were those three bowls
of yummy porridge on the table.
Mmm, that smells good, she said.
And she decided to try a taste
from the great big bowl first.
She took a little spoonful and,
oh, she cried.
This porridge is much too hot.
Woo, that was a close one.
So next, she tried the porridge in the middle sized bowl.
Burr, she shivered.
This porridge is too cold.
But then she tried the porridge in the teeny tiny bowl.
Hmm, she said with a big smile,
this porridge is just right and she ate every last bite.
Now that her tummy was full,
Goldilocks wanted to sit down.
She saw the three chairs by the fire.
First she climbed into Papa Bear's big chair.
Oh, this chair is too hard, she wiggled.
Then she tried Mama Bear's medium chair.
Oh, this chair is too soft, she said.
And finally, she sat down in Baby Bear's teeny tiny chair.
Ah, she sighed.
This chair is just right.
She started to rock back and forth,
until crack.
Oh, no, the little chair broke all into pieces.
Oh, my goodness.
After all that exploring and that yummy porridge,
Goldilocks started to feel very, very sleepy.
I think I need a little nap, she thought.
So she went upstairs to find a place to rest.
And what do you think she found upstairs?
You guessed it, three beds.
First she laid down on Papa Bear's great big bed.
Ugh, this bed is too hard.
It felt like sleeping on rocks.
So then she tried Mama Bear's medium bed.
Oh, this bed is too soft, she giggled as she sank way, way down.
And then she tried the teeny tiny bed.
Oh, this bed is just right, she whiskered.
It was so cozy.
Goldilocks snuggled under the little blanket.
Closed her eyes.
And in just a moment, she was fast asleep.
Shhh.
But just as Goldilocks was having sweet dreams.
Sump.
Sump.
Sump.
Who do you think came home from their walk?
The three bears.
And they were very hungry for their porridge.
Papa Bear went to his big bowl.
In his big, rumbly voice, he growled.
Someone's been eating my porridge.
Mama Bear looked at her bowl and said in her soft voice.
Someone's been eating my porridge too.
And then Baby Bear looked at his empty little bowl and cried.
Someone's been eating my porridge and it's all gone.
Then they looked at their chairs.
Papa Bear growled.
Someone's been sitting in my chair.
Mama Bear said someone's been sitting in my chair.
And poor Baby Bear saw his little chair on the floor.
Someone sat in my chair, he sobbed.
And they broke it all to pieces.
Oh, can you make a sad face just like Baby Bear?
Well, the three bears knew something was not right.
They tiptoed.
Tiptoed.
Tiptoed.
Up the stairs.
Papa Bear looked at his bed and growled.
Someone's been sleeping in my bed.
Mama Bear looked at her bed and said someone's been sleeping in my bed too.
Then Baby Bear went to his teeny tiny bed.
He looked very close and he saw some pretty golden hair on his pillow.
In his tiny squeaky voice, he cried out.
Someone's been sleeping in my bed and she's still here.
Well, all those voices woke Goldilocks right up.
She opened her eyes and saw three bears looking down at her.
Eek, she squeaked.
She jumped out of that bed, ran down the stairs, flew out the door and ran.
And ran.
And ran all the way home.
And Goldilocks ran so fast all the way to her own house.
And she never went back to the three bears house ever again.
And that's the end of our story.
I wonder though, where do you think she ran to?
