California Governor Gavin Newsom, joined by several other Democratic governors, has drafted and signed a formal letter expressing strong opposition to the president’s decision. The letter accuses the administration of inflaming tensions and undermining local authority, warning that the presence of military forces could further escalate the situation rather than calm it.
