I think on the first hand, I'm just going to start that. There will be a little competition going ahead for next season. It's such a critical part of going the game and just opportunity to keep me going.

1:00It's all strong. I think even the lesson with a We Govie, four next season, everybody had an impact on pathways and players and a whole of people and staff. And the mooding starts and partly, it's also, I think, at least knowing that the World War of Competition is so important for just holding to interest and what we have been built and met all across the number of years. So it's great to see that opportunity for everyone in New Zealand. But obviously, I think it's really gutting that under slay and that for so many people that have had some makes and tough decisions in situations where their hands have been forced like this to make a call about what they know is what they're doing. And I guess for me, the opportunity to come back and play in New Zealand is something that I will always, you know, have a part of what I would do and committing to the fire and the free years with a decision that made sense to me and that I could really sure of. And I hope that wherever I am after those three years and whatever the league looks like,

2:05whether it's a joint league or returning to New Zealand. I hope that both the players are sharing in that. If players are playing across this headman in New Zealand and Australia who have opportunities to play in two very strong competitions. GG, it's my hair. Thank you so much for joining us this obviously first and foremost. Congratulations on the Commonwealth Games medal. How was it for you guys as a group because obviously this no comp was, I guess, put in concrete yet. And in the back of a lot of people's minds in that camp was the uncertainty. Did that come into any of that Commonwealth Games prep or the chats behind the scenes? Yeah, I actually think it was noise that was hard to ignore. And while we were in Auckland, it was probably when it was the most dangerous and there was just a lot of people trying to figure out what was going on. And I was wondering enough, I feel that also being delayed with the Australian league.

3:05I think gave all of us a bit of freedom and time to just focus on the campaign and knowing that we were going to be able to really make any decisions until the EPA was done in Australia anyway, which was being so delayed till post-com games that we were all kind of like we can just focus on what we have here right now and we'll have to deal with the future. No, when the competition's over. And so yeah, there was a lot of support for each other and really just here from civil-friendly management and leadership just to be able to come and see and have any issues or concerns in that we have support people who are available to help players who may be anxious or worried, but for the most part we were just really keen on getting stuck into the come games campaign. Considering that delay to the New Zealand comp has it has it at all dented any loyalty or any positive emotional feeling towards the game here because of how long it's dragged on and kind of what it's what it's forced you not only you but a lot of the silver

4:12funds into to make that decision between either staying here and writing out that that weight or having to commit to go to Australia if that makes sense. Yeah, I give you saying I think it's hard to comment on I think six different people differently, you know, a lot of the players in the league have children have more than just. And I think for me, I'm in a position where I don't have much more to worry about except for being able to have a good patient where I want to and so not everyone gets to do that and it means you have to make some calls and in the same brief, I think it's hard for, you know, wanting to grow a next generation and thinking about those girls who have gone to play in England and play. So just want to do it indeed. We need those people here so that we can continue to have a strong league and grow the game, but I think that we have something going forward and we have people who are keen to continue to invest in looking at a long term plan.

5:12I think that will hopefully bring people back and bring more trust and I opportunity on New Zealand. Yeah, and GG, you have just signed like you said a three year deal with a new franchise in the SSN, the Sydney sirens. You've been at the Sydney swifts for two years. What made the sirens something contising for you to go to? Yeah, it was a pretty long decision and the process, I was quite torn at times around what to do and basically trying to check in on what was driving the change and making sure it was going to be a good idea to be able to get the line with my values and ideas what I wanted and I think the fact that I could have that certainty was a three year contract with thinking as expected. I was also just really excited by a fresh start. I've always kind of touched the matter because the opportunity to be part of a foundation club is for me that always entice or intrigue me, I guess. I really be part of something new and fresh and build culture from day one and hopefully tell a new exciting story and I was really excited about and the new owners and the coaches and staff were really sure about me from very early on and very persuasive and intent and their support.

6:27I was something that really kind of gave me confidence around where I wanted to be and the group I wanted to be a part of. So it became my brain about the event that it was basically a lengthy decision making process. And you do you must be so excited because one of your very good mates, Kobe, Cleiro Brian is also coming with you to the sirens. How excited are you to, I guess, get that partnership going up again? Yeah, absolutely. So I've had a known club for a few years now. I'm supposed to live in Auckland and to Runga and South Auckland. She's been all over the place and she's honestly the salt of the year. She's such a great person and player and I've missed having her around. So I'm keen to have her and her home city of Sydney and really just enjoy being teammates and mates are also really interested in good nipples. She's an amazing mid quarter and has a lot of experience. I've had a lot of our groups and we've got a really exciting bunch, a young group, but really fresh and I think it's going to be a really awesome season.

7:28Can they're building together and properly kind of rewriting the story of giants and pirates and seeing some more wins on the board for sure. You personally grace you've played in Australia now for a few years. How has it improved your game as you've gone on and have you noticed improvements in different areas of your game perhaps from year to year? What have you focused on? What's got beta since you've gone over the anything? Yeah, I think it's actually a funny question because I do feel that games have been slowed while being in Australia. I think in a working environment or a sporting environment in a high performance space, you're always going to grow and improve year on year. But you can also sometimes take note of some setback or moments for you to stagnate. And I think I do think steering shafts will get last year. So I think just kind of navigating that is probably the biggest learning and improvement for me like being okay with having those walls and understanding what's causing that or taking stuff of the picture with my personal life or training environment and what I need to keep pushing forward.

8:32Obviously, the league is fantastic and your challenge every week both on the court and the training environment, even just in nature of being away from your friends and family and what network is really teaching a big business that a bit south. So I think we think across the two years so far, I've shifted as a person and player. But basically on the court, there's been moments where you kind of test, you know, from trial with some performance of a moment, you kind of fishing whether you're good enough or what you've been doing the past three weeks, but knowing that the next thing that I'm sure they're hopefully. I feel like GG, the ebbs and flows of high performance borders, just a day to day thing that athletes get used to it. And for you, how has the SSN and being in a competition like that prepared you for the international side of the game because obviously you're playing against your Aussie diamonds, the Jamaicans weekend, we count how beneficial do you think that's been for your game?

9:33Yeah, I think it's added a lot to my game and I think first when it comes to my head, it's that the novelty really weird off. Not in the nightmare, you really get to humanize them and see them make mistakes. You've seen them play fantastically, but you also see that they're human and that, you know, we can all compete against each other. I think really more time kind of studying and getting to know these players that's coming up against women in the national stage and we're storming. And then you get just the training environment and the support you have both from staff, from your teammates, from the clubs, just getting used to that feeling of being a full time professional. I carry into that international season really smoothly. You're able to kind of just keep building on the learning from the season just long. And yeah, I think we've been having proximity to these people who you kind of only ever saw once or twice every 18 months now has really made it a lot of, you know, the kind of moment when you get to where the Black Dress is, much against women, different things.

10:39Just lastly, for me, anyway, Grace, just around the Aussies, obviously the silver ferns didn't get to play them in the Commonwealth Games and you're probably one of the best judged to tell us, how do you think the silver ferns married up to the diamonds at this point as you head towards the constellation cup. Yeah, I think I think we're in a good place. I think that's a pretty humble response and I feel like we're in a great place. I actually would have loved to play them in Glasgow because I think we would have won. I think we were just a team that had the goods for that campaign and really kind of built some games again. So I have all the faith in the crypt that we're doing at the moment and the groups that we have on the constellation cup and I'm sure that the diamonds will have some excellent drawing board and we'll be looking to improve and maybe shuffle things around which will have to appear. But it's a real sense of release and confidence and understanding what we do and the processes that we have in place to make sure we can use the form at a high standard.

11:41So very excited for constellation stuff and the opportunity to play them and oftentimes it's a day takes two and we struggle to win in Australia. But I think it's a big good opportunity to really take this experience. And GG, last month from me, obviously constellation cup has been confirmed to go ahead and October this year. However, there is no silver fun squad announced yet. Do you have any certainty or any information on when that security is going to come? Yeah, we're getting some information internally around what we're looking to be for and for the rest of the year and obviously contracts being renewed. And I guess it kind of speaks to the general space of the one who's gone at the moment that I think has been kind of changing often or have been a lot of fared into around what the contract and I give our jobs look like. We know that we will be a squad named and that will be a team that will feel a contraction cup and we're all continuing to train and show up we needed.

12:50I guess it's just something that will come time around the full squad and I think it will also work and with what this new will look like around continuing to support the players remaining in the Dylan and strengthen the sort of friends squad that both those who are developing and those who are currently competing. Awesome. Well, there's a lot going on in netball and now we can talk positively about all of it as well. Great to have you on. Thank you so much. Exactly.
