Grange Hill Tops UK's Lost Kids' Shows

On May 1st, a new poll out of the U.K. crowns Grange Hill as Britain's top-loss kid show,

the one we all miss from our screens.

Out of 2000 folks over 40 surveyed by Perspect is global, nearly half picked this gritty drama

that dove into teen issues like bullying, racism, and drug abuse.

It ran for 30 years and even pushed the Just Say No campaign against substance abuse.

Coming in second was the Flintstones, that classic cartoon with Fred and Wilma cracking

wise in bedrock, the first animated hit to snag primetime. Slots.

Third place went to Postman Pat, with over a third of people loving his adventures in Greendale,

Folks are straight up nostalgic, with more than 80% saying TV from their childhood beats what's

on now. Nearly 4 in 10 call these shows their happiest memories, and over 40% feel back then

programming was way more imaginative. The survey digs into why. Too many channels today dilute

the magic compared to the few options decades ago. Other shout outs went to Danger Mouse,

the City Show, Bag Plus, and Thomas the Tank Engine, proving these gems still spark joy.

94% would rather their own kids binge these classics than scroll endlessly online,
