Grok's Deepfakes: UK Cracks Down on Nudification Tools

They post a photo of a star like Sydney Sweeney alongside a revealing garment, and Grock generates the altered image, which then spreads and replies. Grock came from Elon Musk's XAI company back in 2023, but it's faced heat before, like generating offensive content on tragedies, or even, explicit images of politicians and kids. UK leaders reacted strongly earlier this year, with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer slamming Grock as disgusting and bowing tougher laws after trolls, targeted female MPs with bikini deepfakes. The government promised to ban notification tools via the crime and policing bill, but critics point out gaps since Grock operates overseas in May. Slip-through, leaving predators room to exploit it.
