It's April 2nd. Welcome in. This is Entertainment and Celebrity News, where pop culture meets AI. I'm Cory with the story. Nine people just got hit with federal charges for allegedly kidnapping and robbing three victims at gunpoint in a Dallas music studio back on January 10th. One of those victims was Gucci Mane, real name Ratchet Davis, during what was supposed to be a business meeting about a recording deal. The crew, including rappers Poo Scheisty and Big 30, reportedly stormed in with guns, took over the spot and forced one victim to sign away a contract right there at gunpoint. They also snatched Rolexes, jewelry, cash, and other valuables while barricading the door to trap everyone inside. One person even got choked nearly. Unconscious. Word from the U.S. attorney's office paints it as a straight up violent shakedown instead of legit business. After the chaos, some of the suspects even flexed picks of the stolen goods on social media, which didn't help their case.

Fast forward, eight out of the nine are now in custody as of early April, facing up to life in prison if convicted. Meanwhile, Gucci Mane, head of 117 records, dropped almost all his artists last October keeping Poo Scheisty and just one other right around the time. Scheisty got out after serving time on separate gun and drug charges. This mess highlights how quick things can turn in the rap game, from boardroom talks to federal indictments and reps aren't saying much yet as the case builds.
