Gunsmoke - "Luke's Law" (1960)

About this episode

Gunsmoke, “Luke’s Law” (episode 405), originally broadcast on CBS Radio Network on January 10, 1960. William Conrad stars as U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon, with Parley Baer, Georgia Ellis, and Howard McNear; the script was written by Marian Clark and produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell.

Near Dodge City, rancher Luke Burris is badly beaten after a public dispute, but refuses to call on the law to settle the matter. When Luke’s son seeks Dillon’s help, the marshal must contend with a hard frontier code of personal justice and the growing danger it brings.

Old Time Western Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
