One way we can support the black community is by recognizing the messages that we were witness to in our youth. What were shows and movies like Fresh Prince,  Diff'rent Strokes or Do the Right Thing telling the youth about equality, or rather, the lack of it? What is available to us today to help learn more about a message that has become lost or ignored?
