You're listening to Bill Handel, on demand from KFI AM640.
And the way it works with a Supreme Leader, I don't know if you knew that, but they've taken
a page out of the American Arbitration Association, where you have Iran choosing one person,
the Israel choosing another, and then the United States choosing another, and the three
of them actually choose the Supreme Leader.
No, those are the rules of arbitration.
I got that one wrong.
Gotta get everything confused so much.
And now, handle on the news.
Ladies and gentlemen, here's Bill Handel.
Good morning, everybody.
It is Wednesday morning, March 4th, as we're marching 4th word.
Now, that's just below medium, I would say, that doesn't quite make the grade.
That's beginning there.
All right.
Anyway, Neil, good morning.
Good morning, sir.
Yeah, there you are, Amy.
There you are.
Here I am.
Yeah, there you are, Econo.
Good morning.
All right, Will.
Good morning, Bill.
Wearing shirts with horizontal stripes, we've talked about this, haven't we?
Will.
Do you go out of your way?
Is that what we do?
Bill, large stripes and small stripes are different.
Yeah.
Small stripes are slimming.
There you go, see?
Small stripes across one's chest is slimming.
It's my chest, it's supposed to be big.
Yeah.
Good.
Wow.
Oh, yeah, okay.
All right.
I mean, we can go right into Moves discussion.
I don't mind doing that.
No.
And that was going to stay away from that.
All right.
And good morning.
You're wearing a parka.
It's like 40 degrees below zero where you are.
It's cold in here.
Yeah, they just keep that place pretty cold.
Yeah.
I wear a flannel underwear and flannel clothing.
Lindsay likes it very, very cold.
She runs hot.
I run cold.
And never the twain shall meet.
Oh, okay.
What else is happening?
We got a lot to talk about.
The war continues on.
Big election news.
Last yesterday, I was some Texas news, North Carolina news, leading the way for some primaries,
as well as the general election coming up in November.
Some California news and one fun topic.
And that is Donald Trump changing the elections, declaring a national emergency.
And I want to straighten this out because people who, even those who are in favor of Donald Trump, declaring a national emergency,
somehow think that thinks that that translates into him stopping the elections.
And that's not true.
It's simply how the elections are going to be handled.
So there's a couple myths that I want to explode.
And that's basically it.
All right.
Let's just go ahead and start.
Not much for me to talk about.
No.
Not a lot going on today.
No, I mean, certainly not as last few days.
Just some more news.
And let's just do it.
Okay, guys, let's get right into it.
It's time for a handle on the news with Amy, Neil, and me lead.
Sorry.
Just freedom.
Don't come free.
The four of the six US service members that were killed, they have been identified.
And they were assigned out of the Army Reserve Unit.
A hundred and third sustainment command, which is an intelligence command.
And they were killed.
I think it was a Kuwait they were killed.
Yes.
I think so.
They were killed in Kuwait and the argument there and we're talking about the controversy
is that their unit was not protected the way it should have been.
And the other thing and we're going to talk about this too.
Trump is getting nailed as is Marco Rubio for not anticipating that Iran would have attacked
the rest of the other countries in the Persian Gulf.
And so the United States did not have at the ready planes transportation out.
So you got tens of thousands of Americans that are stranded in the Middle East right now.
I'm absolutely gobs back.
Gobs back by their response saying, well, we didn't know what, you know, which direction this was going to go.
It's like to not cover every basic base.
Yeah.
The basics.
Get the easy ones right.
You know, on the, you know, on the other hand, and you're right, you have to plan for everything
and anything.
But it's, I agree with the president in the fact that this happened very quickly where the retaliation
of Iran to neighboring Gulf states.
We have American targets.
No, no straight civilian targets.
You buy right into residential districts.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, they're going balls to the wall.
And now the issue is, are they going to attack American bases in Turkey?
They tried.
Yeah.
And that's why they did.
NATO says they intercepted a missile that was headed toward Turkey.
And if a missile hits Turkey, guess what?
Article five kicks in.
And all of a sudden, Tehran is at war with 27 NATO countries.
Why do they have to hit?
That's a good point.
They could simply call it an attack.
Yeah.
Because it doesn't say, it doesn't say there have to be injuries.
It doesn't say there has to be damages simply an attack.
And to argue that flying in a drone or a missile into Turkey, in a Turkish airspace is not an attack,
you could certainly argue it.
Well, they're going to go, they're going to air on the side of caution, of course.
I know, but it's like a tempted murder.
It's like, okay, so the guy was bad.
Right.
Right.
But it may look like a duck, walk like a duck, talk like a duck.
But as of right now, there's no, there's no talk.
You know, there's no.
As of right now, there's no duck.
Okay.
Thank you.
Moving on.
All right.
Telleriko.
Hey, you missed me.
Yeah.
Like father, like son.
The son of Ayatollah Ali.
Apparently is the leading contender to take over Iran.
The second son of the former Ayatollah, who of course was killed in that Israeli air strike last Saturday,
is being considered by the regime's senior clerics to be the next supreme leader.
He's 56 years old.
He's a hardliner.
He's been managing his father's office and network for years, known for having close ties to Iran's revolutionary guards, the IRGC.
And insiders are saying his appointment would suggest that the guards still have control of power in Iran.
Yeah.
I think no surprise.
So he has actually been the assistant Grand Puba for a bunch of years.
And the fact that there's a dynasty issue is pretty important.
And it's hardliner, and that's exactly what the fear is.
There's, it's much like what happened in Venezuela.
And the assistant head comes right in and takes over.
Although Venezuela is a little different because oil is starting to flow.
So we're going to see basically the same.
The same.
Trump said yesterday they were saying what do you hope or what would be, you know, the worst outcome?
And he said it would be that we go in and do all of this in five years later.
We're right back where we started.
Yeah. And that is the fear.
That is the fear.
And Trump has said four to five weeks.
I think George W. Bush said a real, real limited sense as did Joe Biden, as did almost every other president.
Yeah, but the difference is that the Trump administration is saying we're not holding back.
We're going in it.
We're going in it to win it and not doing any kind of a limited action.
We're going to see.
Yeah.
We're going to see.
But even in it to win it, look, you know, Israel is in it to win it.
And still hasn't been able to do what it wanted to do.
I think for the most part in Gaza, it has.
But Lebanon, they're still attacking because the Khazbullah is crazy.
You know, they had nothing to do with this war.
This is Iran.
But as Iran moves, so does Khazbullah.
Okay.
One more and then we'll take a break.
I mean, brutally interrupted me.
I did not.
It was my turn.
Oh, it's semantics.
State representative James Teleriko won the Texas State Democratic primary.
So this was going on.
This was everybody's watching this because it says a lot about much defeating representative
Jasmine Crockett giving party leaders what they're saying is the candidate that they quietly wanted.
Because they think that he has a better chance than Jasmine Crockett of turning that flipping that Ruby red state to something.
A little less red.
Yeah.
We're going to see Trump supporters slash super conservative slash magas supporters.
How they're going to do the more conservative and the magas supporters.
I mean, really back up their people.
How is the populist going to vote?
And I tell you, Democrats are praying that the super right wing candidates get on the ballot,
giving them the best chance of putting Democrats into the house and into the Senate.
Who's got eyes on Iran?
Days before the U.S. launched a major military operation in Iran.
FBI director Kashbital fired a dozen agents and staff members from a counterintelligence unit that task is to monitor threats from Iran.
They were ousted.
The agents fired for their involvement in the investigation of Trump's retention of classified documents.
That is Mar-a-Lago estate.
Patel says the counterintelligence unit is known as C-I-12.
Apparently it handles cases ranging from mishandling of classified documents to tracking foreign spies,
not those overseas, those operating on U.S. soil.
Yeah, a couple of points I want to make on this one.
One, a lot of these FBI agents, I would say most of them, they don't do policy.
They're ordered by their superiors to perform a certain task.
For example, you have to investigate this.
They have to investigate it because that's their job.
It is a superior telling to do that.
Kashbital and the entire Trump administration is firing and has fired anybody remotely connected to anything that was contrary to Donald Trump.
Here's the bottom line.
Where are the credentials that are needed to work in the Trump administration?
I mean from the bottom to the very, very top loyalty.
That's it.
That's it.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Loyalty.
I mean, look at the vast credentials that Christy Knowham has, or Tom Homan has, or Pam Bondi has, or Pete Hegseth has.
Loyalty.
It's all loyalty.
I'm glad our government is running.
Glad it's different here, sir.
You look great this morning.
Thank you.
Well said.
Senator Tom Tillis threatened yesterday to use aggressive procedural measures, which sounds boring.
To bring Senate work to a standstill if homeland secretary, security secretary, Christy Knowham,
fails to respond to his office's inquiries.
Now, they have asked about immigration crackdowns there in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Of course, that's his concern and focus.
But he goes on to say, listen, if I don't get an answer that you've had a month to respond to,
and any of the remaining ones, as of today, then he's going to inform the leadership that he's putting a hold on
and going to block any nominations until they get released.
Yeah.
He's pretty conservative, but he's one of the few that could come out and call Trump on his
Trumpism because he's retiring.
Exactly.
And he's got nothing to lose.
And therefore he's free.
And that is fearful about anything because they're ending their, you know, right?
I mean, that's just those are the ones that are able to say and do what they want.
Also, the law he's talking about the procedures, a single senator can shut down under certain
circumstances votes, certainly stopped judicial nomination, which is what a Senator Tuberville
or Senator Mayberry or whatever the hell his name was, he did that with Joe Biden's judicial
appointments.
Just shut him right down.
And I forget what the issue is, but the single senator can do that.
I think force of vote on the Senate floor, where it doesn't go beyond the committee.
Anyway, I'm not quite familiar with the rules, but he can, he can certainly throw a monkey
wrench into this thing.
Measles can wait.
An international meeting to determine the status of Measles elimination in the United States
has been delayed by seven months.
Of course, Measles had been considered eliminated in the U.S. since 2000, but there have been
several large outbreaks last year, led to a record number of cases.
Of course, it started in West Texas and then spread from there.
So now they've said, we need to, we need more time to decide if Measles has been eradicated.
Yeah.
Of course, it has not.
General one of the side effects of Measles is your balls become as big as great fruits.
Not yours, Amy, but certainly mine and maybe Neils and Wills and Conos, possibly, but
that's one of the fun mump side effects.
Does it happen to just one or all three?
That's very good.
You know what?
I don't know.
I think it can happen to one.
I think it can happen to two.
I mean, those bell ringers really, really are affected in many, many cases.
All right.
Moving on.
All right.
You know, seeing more and more of this, a Georgia man who gave his teenager son for Christmas
a gun is accused that and he was accused of killing two students and two teachers there
in that Georgia school shooting.
He's now been convicted of second degree murder and involuntary manslaughter.
Yeah.
The son is the one that did the killing.
Yeah.
But jurors took less than two hours.
Two hours.
Well, he's defense.
He's defense.
I didn't know.
It never occurred to me that it would happen and he's crying.
Yeah.
You worked hold.
Your kid was a risk.
It's on video where a body cam from a police officer is telling him your kid has put some
stuff on the internet and there's something he's threatened schools and they got just
sort of nods and then buys his son an AR 15 as a Christmas gift.
Yeah.
Lovely.
Damn right.
I'm curious Bill legally.
How can he be actually charged with murder?
He didn't do.
He didn't do the murder.
He could be an accessory to murder.
Well, there's a couple of things.
Number one, you don't have to physically do a murder under the felony murder rule, which
means all you have to do is be part of the crime.
And this is in Georgia and this Georgia law says second degree murder attaches if it is
causing the death of a child by committing the crime of cruelty to children.
That's how they connected it, that what he did was cruelty to children.
And therefore that move right into a second degree murder, he's going to do some serious
jail time as he should tend to 30 years in prison, we'll see how far the judge goes on
this.
I'm only about the judge going to go seriously long term for the simple reason is that
they want to send a message to parents.
You will be responsible if your kids go out and start blowing people apart.
We're not going to just let it stop right there.
Oh, I didn't know.
I didn't know.
Yeah, you should have known, even if you, if you claim you did know, which in this case
was clearly the other way in praise of the president, just kidding.
A satirical website has popped up.
It's called draft Baron Trump dot com.
It adopts a mock patriotic tone, presenting exaggerated praise of Trump and his family.
It says America is strong because its leaders are strong.
On the landing page and says, naturally, his son Baron is more than ready to defend
the country.
His father, so boldly commands services, honors, strength is inherited dog bless Baron.
That's sweet.
Isn't it?
Yeah.
Now, legitimately, he has been drafted by the Lakers.
See, that was a joke referring to his height.
He's a tall kid, six foot eight, he's six eight.
I think he's six eight.
Yeah.
I think there's something wrong with his feet, though.
I think, well, they're probably, you know, the family runs a bad feet.
Bad feet.
How tall is the skin on his neck?
How's that?
Oh, I was wrong.
He's six foot nine.
He's a freak.
He's six nine.
Yeah.
And why are you calling him a freak?
Because he's tall.
He says odd looking person.
He is not.
Yes, he is.
I'll tell you, I'll tell you something.
He's not stupid.
He's not stupid at all.
One of what he did is he convinced his dad to start a social networking with young people
that was not part of the campaign.
He's one that turned that around.
He came in and said, you got to go for this crowd.
I gotta tell you, he's far from stupid.
And he's going to get a short haircut, diet, pink, and get a nose ring.
You're that close, sister.
Yeah.
All right.
Speaking of Trump, God, finally, a Trump story in here.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday threatened to end trade with Spain.
He said, I'm taking my toys and I'm leaving.
He cites lack of support over US and Israeli attacks.
I ran Iran and the Europe's nation resistance to increasing its NATO spending.
So we're going to cut off all trade with Spain.
He says not even tariffs.
No, no.
Spain and the Prime Minister who has not been very pro Trump.
He's sort of the leading of the world, leader of the world, the world community, anti Trump.
And once again, and he has not let Trump use airspace or any of the bases that Spain
has.
And so the president has made it very clear.
Once again, you're either with me or you're my enemy.
And since I'm the president, I am now nailing you with tariffs and I'm going to make it
as difficult for you to function because you're not on my side.
I tell you when, you know, the president wheels a big stick.
You know, he swings his swans around and it, it's like a bull in a china shop.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Moving on.
I think it's orange.
Oh, yeah.
Of course it is.
Hey, do you think, let me ask you, you think, uh, you think don't, you think don't,
hey, I have a question.
Do you think Donald Trump is criticized?
I don't know.
Let me see if chat GPT tells us if Donald Trump is circumcised.
That's a, it's a good question, actually.
No, no.
No.
Is Donald Trump circumcised?
Don't take anything off it.
It's perfect.
Transcribing.
Uh, here's the question.
This was chat GPT and I'm asking, uh, there was no confirmed publicly available medical
information.
Um, aren't most people?
What circumcised?
Yeah.
Not too many women are.
That's for starters.
Okay.
Our most men, uh, 50, 50 right now used to be that almost everybody was circumcised.
Now it's come back to, uh, uh, it's circumcision is declining in popularity because there's
a mock turtles are out.
Yeah, exactly.
There's a movement out there that you don't want to mutilate, uh, men and I, you know,
I don't understand why would anybody want, why would any guy want to shfance to look
like an andeater?
I mean, give me a break.
Come on.
Okay.
I was pretty young when it happened.
I don't remember it.
I was eight days old because that's very religious, did you know that?
Very religious in the Jewish religion.
That is a matter of fact, uh, that is probably one of the most significant, uh, events that
could happen because that is the covenant, uh, between God and Abraham.
That is the contract between God and Abraham declaring monotheism.
That's true.
And you know, I've always wondered, come on, guys, you really get a sign, a contract with
getting the head of your shfance guy cut off.
Why don't you just put an X on a piece of paper?
Wouldn't that be easier than getting it cut off?
Hero is real.
The Lord, our God, the Lord is one.
And he said, how do we make this a covenant?
You want us to do what?
What?
To our what?
All right.
Billions had eyes on bad bunny.
Bad bunny made music history with the Super Bowl halftime show performance.
Uh, during Super Bowl, 128.2 million people in the US watched it, but then it went global.
Bad bunny's halftime performance brought in 4.157 billion views globally within 24 hours
of the performance.
You know, that's half the population of the planet.
Yeah.
That's pretty impressive.
So, you know, I was never a bad bunny fan.
I didn't know much about bad bunny, uh, but, um, yeah, you know, I, I, I've sort of come
over though.
Yeah.
This guy is really good at what he does.
Yeah.
That's all one of those kind of magical performers.
Yeah, he is.
Yeah.
The capture.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He has the it.
He's got the it factor.
All right.
That's it.
So I wanted to tell you about that.
Moving on.
This is right up your alley bill 23, uh, very saddened anguished couples, if you will,
are filing a lawsuit against Orange County IVF clinic and the doctor they're in for
reportedly transporting their embryos to an unknown location without their consent.
And, uh, you know, some went missing and, uh, they're obviously upset about it.
So they want them to do the right thing, according to the lawsuit, this doctor, uh, failed
to pay rent for more than a year, um, at, uh, one of the lagoon and the gale facilities
that are cryogenic tanks holding the parents embryos were housed and, um, then patients
started to find out what happened.
Oh, yeah.
This is a mess.
Yeah.
It's law.
I law, uh, his, his medical license suspended and he is accused of, uh, straight out
extortion.
Uh, if, uh, you patients, uh, sign a waiver saying, uh, I'm not being held responsible for
anything.
Uh, if you sign, I'll give you back your embryos.
If you don't sign, not going to happen.
How could you?
What do you mean?
That's criminal.
It's really simple.
You sign a waiver as to liability and I'll give you back.
I'll tell you where your embryos are.
And if not, I won't.
It's straight out extortion.
Not alone is a criminal act, uh, and he, uh, well, he's, uh, moved, uh, to, uh, to
Bakersfield.
They think that's where the embryos are in Bakersfield.
There's also a, another lawsuit, uh, there's another pending lawsuit on behalf of the embryos
themselves, uh, because he moved them to Bakersfield and it's, uh, they're, they're
the real.
There's a lawsuit there.
Yeah.
I would also sue under those circumstances.
Yeah.
It's a mess.
Couldn't afford landcaster, huh?
Yeah.
It's, it's a God awful mess.
Calling for a little cleanup, open AI is amending its deal to supply artificial intelligence
to the US Department of War, the owner of chat GPT Sam Aldman, or his, the chief executive
admitted that it looked opportunistic and sloppy.
Of course, open AI jumped in once anthropic was dropped by the Pentagon.
There was, go ahead, yeah, within a matter of minutes, anthropic, uh, didn't, uh, well,
anthropicals dropped because, uh, it's, uh, AI program, uh, allowed the Pentagon to,
uh, do whatever it wanted to surveillance and, uh, use it for weapons, uh, against
civilians.
A whole bunch of other things.
The Pentagon said, no, and then a chat GPT jumps right in, uh, and it looks sloppy as
hell.
Don't you think it looks a little opportunistic, Amy?
Well, isn't that what America's all about?
Yeah.
But I do think coming in and not having all your ducks in a row, probably not a good idea
because there's a lot of stake at this one, which is the reason, you know, anthropic said,
no, we don't want you to have just unbridled control over the AI.
Yeah.
There's, there's no lie in AI for everyone.
Wait, nevermind.
All right.
So the Xbox, if you love video games, this console has been the, the console, uh, console
for a long time coming out of Microsoft, of course, and one of the co-founders of Xbox
now recently, uh, had signaled that the end may be near for this console and, uh, people
are talking about it now.
He just made a comment about the new CEO of Microsoft gaming, uh, that their job may
be to, you know, usher this Xbox gently into the good night.
So now people are thinking that Microsoft is not going to be focusing on gaming and
that type of thing anymore.
All right.
Uh, I think we were done.
Oh, just one last one.
Amy, I'll do it instead of you.
Sean Diddy-Koam is getting out of jail early.
Okay.
Uh, like a month early.
Yeah.
I'm big deal.
You know, it's, but still it's a month earlier allowing him to do what he does earlier, uh,
then later.
Okay.
That's it.
Now we are done with the news on this Wednesday morning.
And, uh, let's, uh, just jump right into coming up, uh, jump, we're going to jump right
into it, but we're not, we're going to take a break.
And so let me rephrase that smooth, going to listen.
I'm the best.
I am.
It's coming up.
No, no, no, no, no.
That is correct.
Coming up, coming up.
Uh, you know what?
I'm going to have you guess coming up.
What's going on in the world out there?
Hmm.
Huh?

Good people, what's up, what's up?
It's Questlove.
So recently, I had the incredible opportunity to have a real conversation with actress and
producer Jamie Lee Curtis from routines to recovery, true lies, and a certain, germane
jacks of music video.
Jamie is real and raw, and there's something I really admire about her.
I am so happy that I'm the head-f***ing charge at 67 that I have the perspective that I
have at my age to really be able to put all of this into context.
Come to the Questlove show on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your
podcasts.
