What's up everybody, don't adjust your screens, it's not that beautiful man, Christian
Harlow, you're stuck with me today, I'm flying not solo, but we got here, we got a lot of
stuff to talk about, that New Harry Potter trailer dropped and everybody agrees, it's awesome,
there's no infighting, people love it, I expected nothing less, Ryan Gosling had some comments
about movies, which we'll talk about our thoughts, and we got a lot of stuff we talk about.
So guys, sit tight, sit back, relax, I'm flying not solo, it's going to be a dual act today,
but we're going to see how it goes, bear with us, here we go, welcome to the show, and
here we are, look at that, I got that going first, got the intro,
got my little Harlow segment there, but like I was saying, I'm not flying solo today,
could do it by myself, I've got the lovely, beautiful mama to be, steps abroad.
When I saw the email today, I was like, what, someone in the chat was like, oh, I don't know
the last time we got a mic in step shot, and the answer is never, we've never had to adjust
a mic in step show, right?
Never.
Look at this, I'm doing switches here and everything, yeah, you're killing it, I got to wear my glasses
the whole show though, so I have to bear with me on that one, I can't see without them.
I know we've never done a show together, so like this, yeah, are you a contacts person
or just, just glasses, well, the reading glasses, so okay, okay, I don't want to do, I
have worn contacts for like, when I played characters at the parks and stuff, and I hate
them.
Okay, okay, it's not for you, I don't really hope I don't ever have to get them, yeah,
the reading glasses for me, you know, I'm getting older, I have to get to put contacts
once on, and I tried for 30 minutes and couldn't do it.
Yeah, it was just like, and I know people like, oh, you get used to them, I was like, I
never got used to them.
Lots of better on people, I don't mind them, just maybe you think they would, at this point,
they'd come up with something that like, doesn't show glare, I know, like you would think
like they've got blue blockers and this blockers and every block, but like all equipped, let
the doesn't, you can't see reflection, maybe not glare reflection, yeah, I have to tip
them down and they still look like, yeah, you've got, oh, now you look even older, I can't
do this, yeah, you can't, you can't, I've been afforded a little bit more, but you can't
yet, yeah, you got grace, I can't do that shit, where was you, you were recently, I saw
what was that, you had the whole fam together, my niece got baptized, oh boy, yeah,
send me a little dunk in the water, oh, no, he would, the priest was actually really
cool, he just did a little like he, he kind of like put like a little shot glass of holy
water on her forehead and it trickled down, and at first, I mean, this is the chillest
baby of all time, at first, she was like, but then she settled into it like, all right,
bath time, okay, yeah, but then all her photos, she looked like a slick back, like, I don't
like, she used way too much oil in her hair, she was like, she only had so much hair, she
you know, all babies kind of have a receding hairline, so she was like, all babies are
bald, all babies have a mask for it, with you and, and her babies, you got to come up
full head of like wolf man hair, literally be the jungle book part two, like, it will
be moguliana, moguliana, yeah, the girl version of mogulie will enter the chat, she'll, because
she has to have what the heartburn I have, I think she's covered in hair, I think she's
going to be like a, like a, like a little animal, yeah, probably, probably, yeah, everything
else going good? Yeah, yeah, something about pregnancy hood, there's not a word for
it, there's motherhood, but pregnancy hood, you see what I'm trying, you know what I mean?
Like, you're like, okay, just pregnancy, I guess, right?
So I literally go to bed around 10-ish every night, I, I really enjoy just watching TV
at night with H, and that's kind of it. Last night, I went to, it was like, it was an
altar meets this, I don't know, I think it's called symbiotica, it's like this supplement
brand, and I, and- Like all to the hair place?
Yeah, you were doing a collab, and my friend, Jess, who like always, she gets invited
to everything, she's like, I net, she, I told her, don't invite me to things, I don't
want to go, I hate to influencer things, but she's like, since you love health stuff,
I feel like this one would be really cool for you, and I was like, honestly, yeah, like
I'll go, because you sometimes they give you like a ton of free shit, so I was like, okay,
I love amenities, I'm like, I will amenity up, I don't like it.
And amenity, you're loving amenities, huh?
I go on, yes, like, if like a hotel costs like a few hundred more, but you get a ton
of amenities, so worth it to me, it's like girl math, like I'm not spending money, I'm
getting free.
It's amazing to me, like what are some amenities that you love, the amenities?
Okay, so we went to one place that it's like, we couldn't net, we should never do it again
because it's so expensive, but when we got there was a stocked fridge, and not like, oh
if you get this, you have to pay for it, it was a stocked fridge of all from their kitchen,
handmade stuff, like homemade cookies, like all these like, ordered nuts.
It's not like Vegas where you touch the water bottle to move it, you're like, that's
surcharge.
Right, no, it was like, you paid for this, so you get a full kitchen, a food, like, yes,
and they gave us like a cutting board with like the cutest little cutting knife and like
a pair and an apple, and I was like, that's amenities, amenities, amenities, maybe, anyways,
I went and it was actually perfect because we didn't have to snooze with anyone, it was
just me and her having a great time together, getting free stuff, got home around nine,
we chatted in the car until 930, I feel like I woke up, like, I have a hangover, like
I raged in Las Vegas all night, that's how my life is, pregnancy, pregnancy, how long
do you sleep for?
If you go to bed at 10, when you're getting up, minimum, I'm hitting eight hours, so I
get in bed at 10 and I go to bed at around 11, so I try to get up by seven, but sometimes
I push it to the nine hour mark, a lot's happening, fucking dicey kid, those are my updates.
All right, should we get into this?
Yes.
All right, first story we got, it's a doozy, let me see if I, here we go guys, we're going
to do the first thing here, see if we could do this properly, I'm going to go here to
this, to this, no, that's not it, here, share screen, oh god, no, now it's saying now
I got to do something here, oh, hold on, now I got to, I got to open settings, oh god,
all right, here we go Steph, I'm going to put it on you for a second, I'm going to figure
this out.
Well, they can hear me, I think, so yeah, I got to change you over here, oh no, now it's
like my whole screen is frozen up, all right, here we go, screen share and cancel, all
right guys, bear with me here, I'm going to go back to Steph and I for a second, okay,
the good news is is that there's a lot to celebrate, oh, I closed you off, I can't do that
Steph, we got to talk, I'm going to talk, but they can hear you, yeah, so what's going
on guys, I want to share my screen, but now Google, the app bundle would like me to record
this computer screen and audio, and I'm going to deny that, I want to deny it, I got to
open the settings and maybe we got to do this, oh, Christ, okay, here we go, it's not letting
me do this guys, so Google, we'd like to record the computer screen and audio, great access
to the application privacy settings, oh God, all right, I don't know what's going on
here guys, this is shit, all right, so let me see here, I'm going to keep working on
this screen, sorry, let's see, did I go back to the two of us, there we go, okay, we're
going to talk here for a second, I'm going to try and work this out, as we're talking
on the phone Steph.
Okay, so our goal today is to be 106 by our dear rocks, who I hear how to great show,
was that yesterday or Tuesday, kind of in Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday is her day, so that's
our goal and we need support for Mike, because look at both of us, our internet has really
made a huge turnaround, that's right, like yeah, people have, I guess they take it for
granted now, but I think I got to figure it out, okay, perfect, was that simple, here
we go, let's present this first story, because it's a doozy, and as you know, if you've
read the thing there, you know that no one was complaining about this, oh my God, all
right, I'm trying guys, it says in the privacy settings, Jesus Christ, here we're going
to try this again, because I open the settings thing that it needs, and it's not letting
me do it.
But we're going to try this again, I'm going to go back to the two of us Steph, sorry guys,
sorry, this is, when you don't use your computer for this, this is what happens.
All right, we're going to try this again Steph.
Are you on an incognito tab?
No, I'm on my normal one, it's just, yeah, screen sharing, it's not,
because I wonder if I can screen share, but I am on an incognito, so, but I can try
to do it, and then just pull us up, pull you up when you talk about it.
I could also pull it up on my main computer here, so, let's see it, I don't know what this
means, required, this is password required, Jesus, I don't know, oh my God, I didn't know
you guys could hear me eating my cereal, sorry guys.
Do you need to share?
Oh, here we go, let's try this home sharing device, okay.
Oh my God, this is, this might not work, guys, let me see, maybe Luke says something
in the chat here, sorry guys.
Okay, just read it, I'm going to read it, here we go, okay, cool, we're going to read
it.
All right, so here we go, today in a surprising movie,
Rachel has unveiled the teaser trailer for the lavish Harry Potter television series.
In addition, the premium cable network has announced the first episode will premiere
on HBO, this Christmas, the series is a faithful retelling of J.K. Rowling's novels
with each season adapting one book from the seven parts saga, and including material,
the film skipped over.
The series is led by newcomers here, we go with names, this is going to be interesting,
Dominic McLaughlin, as the titular character, Alistair Stout is Ron Weasley, and Aira
Bella Stanton is Hermione Granger.
Joining them are John Lithgow is Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTears, Minerva McGonagall, Boing
Papa Esadou, as Sever Snape, Nick Frost is Rubis Hagrid, Locke's Pratt is Draco
Malfoy, Rory Wilmot is Neville Longbottom, Bell Powerly is Patuna Dursley, Daniel Rigby
is Vernon Dursley, John Flynn is Lucius Malfoy, Katherine Parkinson is Molly Weasley, and
Amos Kitson is Dudley Dursley.
Grace Cochran is Ginny Weasley, Strison Harlan is Fred and Weasley, and Gabriel Harland
is George Weasley.
The film that Warner Brothers Studios and Leaves didn't, the series is led by Sean and
Frances Francesca Gardeneer, succession director Mark Malloway, directs multiple episodes.
And that is that.
So first off, did you see the trailer?
Yes, I did.
I did, I was actually really surprised he came out, I wasn't expecting that.
I know, he kind of just dropped with no, no, it's a more pompous circumstance, I guess
I should say.
Yeah, I, it, okay, so at first, this is how I feel about it in general.
I feel like it's very exciting for the younger generation and people, which I agree with
are like the movies still hit.
I still rewatch the movies once a year.
I love the movies, they're my comfort films, growing up, I read all the books, of course,
huh?
So let me, let me, I should have started this.
You don't have to give it away, but were you the right age for these books when they came
out, like to read?
I was young, but I grew into them.
So I think, I think the first one came, you were probably a little bit younger than the
first one came out.
You're probably being the read.
Right, right.
So once I hit like 10, I started reading them.
So I was like, I was like five years behind when the books actually were released.
Because I think the first one was like 98 or something like that.
Something like that.
98, 97, somewhere like that.
That era.
And then so once around like 2005-ish, I think I started reading them, but I was right in
time to read them and then the movies, it was like the books were very fresh to me.
So I, yeah, I was kind of the perfect age for that.
I was, I don't think my parents would, I don't think my parents have ever gotten a book
in release order in their life.
So I feel like it would have taken that long for them to catch on anyways.
What do you mean?
I was, I was way too old.
I was in my 20s, like, but you love reading.
Well, I do, but I'm not in the potter, like I remember because my best friend's wife loved
it.
And she was a little bit older.
She was a little, she's younger than me, but older than you.
So she might have been the perfect age, like 13, 14 for those, well, no, she was, the
book's about 97.
She was late teens, early 20s at that time, but she, so I remember seeing that first movie
and it was packed, packed.
And I saw it and I'm like, same for me, but so then I had not watched them for years.
And then I did a little thing called the movie trivia schmode down.
And there's an entire category at Harry Potter.
And I had to watch those films ad nauseam, but I'll say this as someone.
So they were almost all done.
They were all done by the time I started the showdown.
So I got to experience them all together.
And it was fascinating to me because there was points I would reach out to people online
and I was like, oh my god, it's Snape Harry's father, the way that the movies did it,
you're kind of like, because I don't know all this backstory that the movies just gave
a little bit.
I'm like, oh my god, is this his father?
And people were laughing at me, but then they're like, well, I can kind of see where he
would see this.
So I had a very different experience with them, but I do enjoy them.
That's super different.
Yeah.
I do enjoy them.
I never read the books though, but I do enjoy the movies.
Okay.
Yeah, I love the books, but I honestly haven't read them in so long.
And I think when I was younger, I didn't really, because I was still as really young when
the movies came out.
So a lot of the fair criticism for the movies was that there was a lot of parts missing.
Like, a big one is like, Ginny's arc, like Ginny is a main character in the book.
She's super badass and one of the fiercest witches.
And then in the movie, she's kind of just like false flat like she's like there, but is
she there?
She's there.
And then like, yeah.
Right.
And then you, like, you don't really get the connection between her and Harry, but in
the book, it's like very clear at why Harry and her are a great match.
So there's moments like that, I mean, there's a lot of moments like that.
The books are like 200 to 300 to 400 pages each and, yeah, and the movies can only encapsulate
so much.
So that didn't bug me back then, but I have always thought that that was fair criticism.
And so what I think that they're doing really well in this marketing is taking advantage
of that and being like, we're going to hit all of the parts in the books, the ones
you didn't see in the movie because it's giving itself a good separation from the movies
as to why it's justified to do so.
In addition to, I think it's justified because, you know, there's a whole new generation
that might not have read the books and a lot of people, you know, my age group are like,
they're still great.
Why would you do it?
And I'm usually in that camp like if a movie is so good, why touch it?
It's still replayable.
I would play it for my kids.
But it's going to be a show and I feel like it is already tonally pretty different.
So I was, I, it took me a second to get into the trailer.
Not having the classic music is taking me out a little bit.
The music, I feel like needs to get a little bit more magical.
It was very like HBO series and not as much like I'm entering a wizarding world.
But that's just a trailer music.
Who knows?
Well, when we were getting ready for the show, I saw someone in the chat say, there was
no whimsy.
There was not enough whimsy.
You need to turn the lever up on whimsy personally and in the Harry Potter world, 100%.
Oh, you just saw more whimsy in life.
More whimsy in life.
More whimsy less wars.
It's very clear.
It's very clear.
I watched this and I didn't, honestly, I didn't watch it yesterday.
That was at work when I dropped, so I usually like to wait till I get home.
But then I just forgot about it and then I saw the stories this morning and I'm like,
well, I've got to watch that.
But I was kind of brought into it.
I was like, okay.
I mean, it's cool because everything I see in the movie, like I see the cupboard of
the stairs and I see, like, you know, and there's certain lines that have to be in there.
I feel I sense great things from you Harry Potterly, stuff like that that you know are famous
so you know they've been said by actors where their voices are so in your, but I thought
about this.
So of course I was on shows from media this morning, wasting time and there was some
girl.
She was making this video and I didn't say this, but I swear she couldn't have been
more than 20 years old.
She was like 80,000 followers and she's like, why are they doing this?
This is bullshit.
There's no reason to do it.
Harry Potter and then I looked in the comments before I commented and it's like, oh,
people are already going at her.
And someone's like, she's like, I read the book.
I read the comment to like ratio and you know that what kind of how it's going to.
Yeah.
So I'm like, and she says, I grew up with the movies and TV shows.
So I stepped back for a second and I was like, you know what?
This will not be a Harry Potter for some people.
Right.
I think that that's okay.
I think this is people that are 10 and 12 years old right now that are reading the books
like you said, they get into it and they just can start with the show.
They're not going to, they're going to not going to care about Dana Radcliffe.
They're going to go the old guy, they're going to be like, this is their Harry Potter
and like, they hate millennials, they don't care.
I know.
And I was just like, to me, I thought about is like, oh, it's like Batman.
Anytime someone brings up Adam West Batman, I'm like, get the hell out of here.
But to an entire generation, that is Batman and there will never be anything better than
that.
And I'm just like, to me, it's Michael Keaton to people that's Christian Bale.
Like these stories are, you know, but I do see like every time I've seen a Batman movie,
it's been completely different.
And the style is different things.
Yeah, yeah.
You've been pulled from a different comic.
Right.
This is very much like, oh, it's, yeah, okay.
But it was exciting to watch us kind of like, okay, and maybe since I've no attachment
to the books, I can watch this.
Yeah, I, I felt like it looked good.
The acting looked good.
Anytime that you're going to pull together like the best UK actors, I'm like, strapped
in because I just think that they have like a level of acting school that I just don't
get what they're doing there.
The British actors, to me, are just like amazing, especially in these types of like highly
theatrical roles.
But so I was excited to see the actors.
I am curious, John Litzkow, as Dumbledore, but he looked really good.
That was like the one, I think he's a really non-British actor playing one of the main
characters.
So I'm, and I'm not saying don't do it happens in American films all the time.
But I am curious what he sounds like and what he's going to be like as Dumbledore.
It will be hard to not and maybe not, maybe impossible not to compare because I agree.
It's like, every time you see a shot that reminds you of the film, you're just thinking
of the film.
Unfortunately, those films are not just like a one-time watch.
Most people have watched those films.
It was on ABC Family.
Every single Christmas, 25 days of Christmas, those movies started, you know, they started
November.
Everyone's seen those movies, not everyone, but I would say a majority of people have seen
Harry Potter films have seen them more than once.
That kind of sucks in terms of like, it's not a normal viewing experience.
Like, it's like, I have scenes memorized and then I'm going to go into this show.
I agree.
It's like, maybe not for me, but I hope to enjoy the aspects that differentiate it.
And I hope the kids have a great time because I feel like with the movie cast, you know,
they talk about it as like the best time ever.
So I hope the world treats them well.
I just, I just read some stuff already online and I'm just like, oh, you people like it again.
I've learned, I've learned before I comment.
I go to the comments first, 99% of the time everyone's saying what I would have said.
So I'm like, well done.
Like, the one person, they were like, Hermione looks like she's trans.
And everyone was like, everyone was like, it's a fucking kid like, delete your account,
delete your life.
What kind of person are you like every comment after that?
What about them?
And it's just like, what are you doing with your life?
I have to believe those people are trolls.
When it's like such an insane comment.
Yeah, those were all.
Well, anytime I go do that, I didn't go to the profile.
It was like some Texas mom Christian.
And I was like, well, that's, there we go.
Right.
The mom who bullies children, that tracks the mom, yeah, that tracks.
But it's again to see, it's awesome to see kind of everyone's, you know, and again,
social media was at what it was in 2000 when those movies came out.
There was no might anything like that, you know,
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, which wasn't there.
So I know, I know.
I feel like hopefully their parents have a pretty good grasp on how ugly it can get
and just be like, no phones.
They don't need to see it.
You know what I mean?
They don't, they don't need to see it.
They can just be like, if I was a parent, I'd be like, I would just read the best of,
like the best of Hermione looks amazing.
I love her little hair and her new headband addition.
Queue, yeah, just protect the kids at all costs.
The, and, and I actually was expecting way more of the snake discourse,
because I know a lot of people are like, I don't believe in race swapping.
To me, I'm like, if it's a fictional character, I literally, it might,
if it, if it has nothing to do with the, like the true character,
you know, like, Black Panther is Black Panther.
But snake is, you know, a wizard in a wizarding world that is like, like on that, like,
when it comes to an actor, I don't get it.
But like, I see a lot of the discourse a lot of times in comic books, where they will race
swap a character.
And if it doesn't add to the story and it's just done to be done, I'm kind of like, I do see
some sides to it.
I understand that that's a character you grew up with and it's changing.
It doesn't affect the story and it doesn't do anything and it's just doing it.
A buddy of mine made a great point one time.
We were talking about 80s cartoons and all the stuff we grew up with as kids in the 80s
and superheroes.
And there was a cartoon called Mask, I'm sure you don't know about, it's like,
not based off, did Jim carry the mask?
No, and I, that shows, that I love right there shows the generational stuff because you
didn't go not based off of the, uh, share movie with their extolts.
Do you know that movie mask?
No, no, no, okay, no, I watch the mask fan.
Okay, you're like the mask, not mask.
Yeah, but I would check it out if you think it's good.
Oh, mask is great.
Okay.
It's chair, Sam Elliott, Eric Stoltz.
It's awesome.
That's a great memory.
You've got a cowboy and pop star.
I'm still.
Oh, it's dramatic.
Yeah.
But anyway, so this cartoon is about cars that transform into other vehicles and they
have to wear these masks and they have superpowers at the masks.
And they were bringing a comic series about it about 10 years ago and they
took the main character and they made him a black guy.
And it was no reason in the story.
It was just different and I was getting into this argument with my friend.
I was like, why are they doing this?
No, the mask isn't like hugely popular.
It's not.
And he goes, Mike, think about it this way.
When you were a kid growing up and you're playing with all your toys in the
sandbox, every toy in that sandbox looked like you.
And I go, you're right.
Like in the 80s, like GI Joe, mask, silver hawks,
all these he-man, like the lead character always looked like me who's always a white dude.
A lot of times a brown hair and to grow up and to expand that to other people that want
to feel and see themselves in these roles.
I was like, yeah, that when he that's he said that to me 10 years ago.
And it's still to this day stuck with me.
So I'm just like, I have to look at it through that lens.
But when it comes to acting and movies,
I always hope it's the best actor for the role in this guy.
I agree, I agree.
That's what I feel like.
I'm just going to trust the I totally agree.
And I think that every community agree.
No one wants to hand out.
They just want to be able to enter a room.
And if they get the best performance.
And if it is totally fine for the story,
then that should be totally then you should get the job.
So I'm on the believer that Papa came in
and served.
I hope that's a Papa's name.
Because he does look completely different
than the book description for people who are like,
it's fair because the book had a totally set up description of him.
And I, you know,
and I'm not saying that you guys don't get the right to argue what you're saying.
I'm saying it doesn't bother me.
So this is just my personal opinion as a viewer.
But I read one funny thing that's like
the only reason I don't think that he works for the roles
because he's too good looking.
Snape wasn't described.
If he's young, he's young looking.
He seems a little younger looking.
But I have no attachment to the character like that.
So I'm like, I just want to
write going to serve.
He's going to serve.
I want to see him serve.
So I'm sure he came in and gave like such an insane performance
that they're like, shit, we know we're going to get.
This is going to cause some uproar.
But we got to go with the best performance.
And that's what I think I'll bet they 100% were like, okay, guys,
we know what this is going to cause.
Right.
But is this the way to go?
And they're like 100%.
He probably chemistry read with people and we're like, that's that snake.
It's not like they just made a decision to piss you guys off.
Yeah.
So yeah, like, but the trailer did get me excited.
But seeing what you said and in the chat earlier,
I could do it some whimsy.
I could do with a little more whimsy.
And that could be even just the music.
That could be I did see a tonal shift from when Harry is at the
Dursleys to when he enters the Wizarding World,
which I think is really smart.
So yeah, I'll be I feel like maybe that's when we get it has to be that's where
the whimsy is.
Okay.
Like this, yeah.
Let me ask you this because there are two camps of people in this.
Because William scores so iconic.
And other composers have composed for the films as this film is went on.
But they've always incorporated his theme.
Yes.
Do you feel that that theme is like Superman where
now we and we the most recent Superman,
they did use a little bit of John Williams score,
even though they had their own score.
Do you feel that you need that John Williams theme in there
and with different takes on it or should you go completely different?
Uh, I actually, that's a great point.
And I think that they should use the John Williams score.
I do think it's like that man's okay and where I'm like,
that you could add other score into it.
But I do think that it wouldn't we,
it's impossible to fully separate yourself from the movies.
So like that's one part I would definitely take with me.
It's kind of like, yeah, like with Superman,
he's going to wear the blue suit with the red S on it.
You can't, yes, yes.
So there's certain tenants.
It's like a James Bond movie.
It's you've always got that theme in there.
I don't know.
I feel like it would help the audience
to like add into it.
But also, I feel about Star Wars.
Like when they don't use original themes
for original characters.
And Mike, you know, it's funny.
You say that because Tarla,
we always talk about this when we do it.
The scroll at the beginning,
a lot of the films didn't have it.
And like the TV shows don't have it.
It's like, no, it's Star Wars.
It needs to be there.
So it's like, yeah, I don't know.
It'll be interesting discourse.
Steph, you know, you talk about Papa serving up stuff.
You know what?
I'm going to serve up right now and not a square.
Look at us.
We're doing it.
We've got the ads up there hitting that.
And Derek's in the chat.
Could be a great day.
Oh, could be a great day.
It could be a great day.
I like that.
That ad was a good one because he's like,
hey, I'm hit the regal.
I'm here.
I'm there.
I'm at the regal.
I feel like I'm living his life with him.
All right.
You want to hit another story?
Yes.
This is a good one.
This comes from our friend,
our Franklin at Dark Horizons.
Ryan Gosling on keeping cinemas open.
Two, it says two key talents of different generations.
One, a legendary filmmaker who changed the face of cinema
nearly 50 years ago.
The other an actor who's currently top in the box of his charts
have offered opinions on the film industry and its future.
The talk we get with Ryan Gosling
who made a surprise appearance at the New York movie theater
on opening night of Project Hell Mary last week.
Comments he made during the appearance of now surfaced
over the film's official social media channels.
Speaking to a packed crowd,
Gosling says,
if the film industry wants to keep cinemas going,
it's not up to the audience to do that,
but rather the filmmakers
and the studios making the kind of stuff
that gets people out of the house
and seeing it in theaters.
There's a quote from Ryan.
Six years ago, I got a manuscript.
It's the most ambitious thing I've ever made.
Thing I'll ever make.
It seemed impossible.
It was too good to not give it a shot.
Six years later, we did it.
Here we are.
We're back in all back in theaters.
It's not your job to keep them open.
It's our job to make things
that make it worthy of you coming out.
You're about to go to another galaxy,
meet an alien beast friend and save the stars.
The movie is for you.
Enjoy the trip.
The comments come as nearly two-year-old comments
from Star Wars director George Lucas himself
at the Confirm Festival in 2024
have resurfaced and are now also circling
on social media again today.
Speaking with brute at the time,
Lucas seemed to have a pessimistic opinion
about the future of the industry.
This is George.
This is nobody knows what to do.
The stories are telling are just old movies.
Let's do a sequel.
Let's do a version of this movie.
It's not just in movies,
but in almost everything.
There's no original thinking.
It's like I saw something.
Let's do something like that.
The comments come as the...
The comments come as despite domestic box
of numbers this year charting,
11% of 2025 and slightly ahead of 2024.
At the same time, longer theatrical windows
are making a minor comeback.
That is that.
Interesting.
Interesting.
Interesting.
Steph, we got our join by your cat there.
Yeah.
What are your thoughts?
Uh, I like what Ryan said.
I think that's...
I mean, I bet you the audience was super...
Super bombed after that.
Yeah, it's like...
Okay, have you ever been to a movie screening
or not an even screening movie showing
and someone's popped in?
I don't think so.
Really?
In LA?
Yes, twice.
And it was like a random one.
It wasn't like a Q&A or something like that.
It was usually...
I think both were opening weekend.
But one was...
It was the first sequel to Knives Out
that was Glass Onion.
Okay.
Ryan Johnson showed up.
And then he actually stayed.
He stayed and did like a Q&A.
But it wasn't prompted or anything.
They just like, yeah, I've been
to hang out after the movies.
If you guys want to hang out,
we can answer some questions.
And then this was...
This was awesome.
It was opening night of The Batman
and Pattinson showed up.
No way.
That's it.
What theater?
It was...
That was the prime at AMC Burbank 16.
And the Knives Out was...
So random?
Like of all the...
Well, I read this somewhere recently.
AMC here in Burbank is like AMC's biggest...
Not biggest, but like most successful theater.
That makes sense.
Oh, yeah.
I can kind of see that.
It's huge.
I feel like I went to that theater a lot
when I lived in the valley.
Yeah, he is.
Yeah, it was awesome.
But to hear what Gosling said,
it's now...
Have you seen Project Hell Mary?
Not, yeah.
And we were going to see it last week.
And we were going to go...
I know, I know.
I know.
We're going to see this...
This is a movie for you.
This is a movie for you.
Yeah, I know.
I'm going to love it.
I feel like it's like everything I need a movie to hit.
Yes, it's...
It's...
Who was I talking about with?
It might have been Harlov.
But I was like, oh, it's a Steph movie.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Hell, yeah.
It's great.
As soon as I saw the trailer,
which I don't always love watching trailers,
I was like, I'm going to really like this.
We talked a little bit about this.
Harlov didn't want to give it away,
because I didn't see it yet.
But the first trailer,
they showed like the hand touching the glass.
And I was like, oh,
did they ruin the movie
by showing this alien contact?
And then like, there was an interview
and the directors had said,
if you've read the book,
you know that we didn't spoil anything.
Like, you have to show Rocky
because he's such a big part of the movie.
You could...
And it's...
It didn't take anything away.
Yeah.
Right, right.
Yeah.
And I...
Now watching the movie...
I kind of feel that way,
but I didn't for some reason about the trailer.
No, you're watching the movie now.
I was like, oh, I 100% see why they had to show him.
Okay.
Okay.
Yeah, you're like, you...
Just get it out of the way.
It's a buddy...
It's a buddy movie in space.
Right, right, right.
Is it supposed to like coming in and thinking like,
originally when I first saw the teaser trailer,
I think I thought it was going to be like a very serious space movie.
So I feel like that would have set people...
Some people up for failure.
Yeah, like it almost started off like the Martian.
And you know, they talked about it from the right of the Martian.
And then this alien at the end, I was like,
do they spoil like a first contact movie in the trailer?
But no, it's...
It's not like that.
Yeah, so I actually think he did a really good job of...
Because I had to reread the quote.
And the first time I was like, is this kind of like a...
Not a slight, but kind of making an impossible hill to climb
for like the independent films and the lower budget films?
But no, he didn't say like we need big spectacle movies.
He was just saying we need movies that get people to the theater.
So yeah, it is kind of easier when you have explosions and, you know,
big budget helping your marketing to get people
to even know about your movies.
But I think the essence of what he's saying is so true
and kind of more a slight at studios to like stop this
of just only talking, like only thinking that sequels
and franchise re-opening are going to work.
And it's like while some of them are interesting
and some of them do work, there are so many great stories to be told.
Yeah, it's funny because I love this quote and it's so true.
It is not up to...
You've got to get to the movies, you've got to go watch movies.
But, you know, the economy being what it is
and money being what it is for people,
they're being very choosing what they go see.
And like, Hail Mary is doing great because
it's not an IP, it's not a superhero, it's not...
People just heard the word of mouth that this is a good, great movie
that you're going to enjoy, like your whole family can go watch.
Right. Everyone that's seeing it, that saying it feels like in 80s,
you know, there's no violence.
But there's stakes, there's huge stakes, there's humor,
it's emotional, but it's just...
And again, I don't feel this because I feel movies
have always kind of pushed messages,
but they're not trying to cram anything down your throat.
They're just trying to entertain you.
I think it's...
Cool.
It's...
Yeah, it's...
It's done in a very good way and...
And I hear the people who read the book and love the book
love the adoption, which is like great that they've used the audience of both sides.
One thing I can't stand, I've been seeing a lot of kind of slight
as him as a writer, online, people are like,
oh, he's not really a good writer.
He's a good storyteller.
And I'm just like...
And then I'll go...
You know, I go to the bio and in their bio,
somewhere it says writer and I'm like,
okay, there we go.
And moving on.
The jealousy rears.
I said, like, I didn't know this guy.
Andy Weir, the Martian.
Did you hear how this started?
Now, he had a website and he was releasing
chapter by chapter on his blog for free.
And people are like, you need to do...
Put this on Kindle.
Get this out on Amazon.
That's awesome.
Yeah, I was like, you can't...
He didn't have it in bookstores or online.
It was just...
Here's a free chapter in this book.
I'm writing.
Hope you like it.
And then word about it.
Okay, guys.
For everyone who thinks that you need...
It's incredible.
AI, because you don't have like the big studio back.
I'm not saying like...
It's always possible, but it's possible
that you could just start like a little vlog.
Yeah, I think he did it like in 2011.
And then in 2015 was the Martian.
It's just like...
If it just hits and it's something like,
it was original.
It was like a cool story.
And I like George's comment too.
I mean, he's not wrong.
But it seems like, you know,
hey, we're going to do a live action...
Like, what I can't stand is these live action versions
of animated movies.
I cannot stand those.
Oh, I hate them.
Like, which ones do you hate?
It's just every one of them.
Like, I had never seen the Lion King ever.
And Shannon...
Oh, the live action adoption.
Okay.
Shannon's favorite movie,
animated movies, The Lion King.
So we went to the Al Capheater and everything.
And I walked through the house.
I was there too.
And I was like, this is what everyone loves.
And she's like, wow, they didn't do anything different.
It's the exact same movie.
It's shot for a shot.
Like, but what's the point of that?
How much money we spent on that?
How much money we spent on that?
It was like a...
Didn't that movie break a billion?
Probably.
Maybe there's your answer.
There's your answer.
Yeah, there's the answer.
But I agree.
Like, I...
Okay, so out of all the Disney channel live action
adaptations, I liked...
I liked the Cinderella one.
That's how that was nice.
I never get over a Cinderella story, honestly.
Like, they can do it 100 more times.
That one's fine for me.
It's like, Beauty and the Beast.
They didn't have the CGI yet.
Or like, you know, like, it's like the castle just didn't look good.
Mixed with, I love Emma.
But I think a lot of people were looking
for someone who can really sing for that role.
Yeah, I get you.
Specifically.
Yeah.
So I got that criticism.
Aladdin was pretty good.
But it was kind of like...
I like Aladdin.
Yeah, yeah.
Because they added stuff like the Prince, they added...
Yeah, it was a little different.
Yeah.
And then what else has there been?
Oh, Snow White.
That was...
Yeah.
That was...
Did you watch that?
I just...
Is that the one with Galle?
Yeah.
Yeah, I didn't watch it.
The Galle impressions on the internet.
My favorite thing.
I love her.
She's one woman to me.
She'll always have a special place in my heart.
But...
Yeah, they...
I turned on her real fast, didn't they?
Yes, they did.
Yeah, I live for the impressions.
Mirror, mirror on the wall.
Why do I have a feeling you've got a compilation of you doing those?
I just have a feeling you do.
Snow White.
Like, it's just the funniest.
Oh, my gosh.
There's that and there's the death on the Nile video,
with the champagne in the Nile or whatever.
It's like, oh...
Oh, man.
I think she's a second language.
It's not about that, babe.
You know, it's not about that.
Okay, what else?
Yeah, Karella was different.
Someone brought that up.
Karella was different.
I think that's the thing.
Like, I think it should be a little bit different,
because you're, you know,
or else the question you posed about,
Lion King, what's the point?
Right.
But yeah, the George Lucas quote is definitely interesting,
especially coming from Star Wars.
That's kind of at this place of,
are you going to continue extending a similar story of what we've seen?
Or are we going to kind of dive into new stories
that can be more original within the galaxy parameters?
So I'm kind of...
Yeah, I like this discussion all around.
I think if you like going to the movie theater,
then there is, then we should go.
But also, it is like studios got to make films
that people are interested to see.
Yeah, I was reading, I think it was more with the Lucas clip,
I guess Igar talked to him after they saw the Force Awakens.
And Lucas was blunt.
He says, well, you didn't do anything new.
You know, you created another desert planet
and you gave another Death Star.
And Igar is basically, you know,
well, we had an uphill battle.
We had to bring people back to the create the worlds they love.
But it's tough.
It's tough because we're talking about superhero movies and this,
but then just to see the hype for Spider-Man.
A billion views, a billion views.
Like, so...
I know. What's the...
What's the mixture that gets people...
People complain about superhero movies,
but when a billion people are watching a trailer,
and a billion...
That's going to make a billion.
Doom's day's going to make a billion.
So...
You just don't know what the mixture is.
It really is...
Yeah, it's one thing to say,
like the studio's going to make something exciting.
But I don't think like the studios are going in and being like...
having that knot as a goal.
You know, it's just like we don't know when you're making something.
What's going to actually hit for the audience?
I think it's like the studios don't have what they had in the 80s and 90s,
where they had budgets where they can just make 10 or 15,
$30 million movies and just some of them hit some of them don't.
It's like, well, we putting our chips all in.
And these ones, and if we have a little extra,
we can make another one, but...
But that's why I see, like, with the talk about Supergirl,
and the report recently came out that the budget was only 100 million,
which I think we always talk about.
The budgets on these films need to start coming down,
because if they don't make as much, then they don't need to hit a billion to be successful.
And when you get your budgets down and they make back the profit,
you make more movies.
So, I think that in the studio sense,
you've got to look at your budgets and what you're doing.
I'm curious how much this cost.
I am married.
Yeah, I heard you look at...
200 million?
If you look it up,
let's you go to box office, whatever, Mojo, whatever.
Yeah, we just looked up project Hilmary budget.
Well, my spelling sucks.
Yeah, let's see.
Here we go.
You've written books.
Well, I know a lot of writers.
200 million,
after tax credits.
Yeah, so that's going to be...
That's an uphill battle.
That's an uphill battle.
What's cool about that budget is that
they had so many practical, like Rocky's practical.
And that's really cool.
Did you see the videos of him on set?
Yeah, that's awesome.
Like the actor with the little glass ball, he's rolling it.
I heard there was either talk or
that they were going to...
They had not cast the voice yet.
But him and Gosling got along so good on set.
They're like, no, he's the voice.
We're using him.
Oh, that's so cool.
I think he was just a puppeteer.
That's, um, I always rewatch this video
and it makes me so happy of...
Oh, man, what?
Coco.
Coco, the kid actor who played Miguel,
he was just a stand-in to get the lines in.
And then like after filming, you know,
recording with him for so many months
are like your, your Armagedale.
And they're like, what?
Yeah, this guy, like I'm sure he was just a puppeteer.
I don't think he was a voice actor, but he's just...
That's so cool.
Seeing him on set, do the voice.
You're like, oh, yeah, you couldn't have anyone else do it.
Right, right, right.
Because he's on set the way he talks.
You'll see when he talks is very specific.
It's very...
So to have someone in a booth trying to mimic that,
I think it would have fallen short.
Totally, totally.
That's awesome.
All right.
What did we say?
Should we do another story?
Yes.
All right, let's go.
This is a, we got a little Daredevil talk.
This comes from comic book movie and Josh Wilding.
The first episode of Daredevil born against season two
is now streaming on Disney+.
And while the fans have only seen one of eight episodes so far,
the critics have watched the entire thing.
There is a stark contrast to some previous MCU TV series
where only one part of a season was provided in advance.
As a result, it's become commonplace
for earlier abuse to differ from those of the entire season.
Secret evasion, for example,
started strong and then took a sharp dip
in quality by the finale.
With the critics able to weigh in
in the entire story, Daredevil born against season two
currently has 94% in Rotten Tomatoes tomato meter.
According to critics consensus,
Daredevil born again imbues its second season
with the rich substance thanks to a devishly good performances,
punchier narrative momentum,
and well-timed themes befitting the Dare and Crusader.
With a 95% audience score,
based on Premiere, the Northern Star,
the popcorn meter verdict reads,
a thrilling successor that captures the essence of the source comics.
Daredevil born again builds like a ticking clock,
and we're here for the big boom.
The most impressive thing about this score
is that Daredevil born again now ranks among the all-time best-reviewed
MCU movies and TV shows.
On the small screen, it sits above the likes of WandaVision,
at 92%, Hawkeye at 92,
and only behind Miss Marvel at 98% on the live action side.
In terms of movies,
it's tied with Iron Man 94%,
and Game at 94%, but it's beaten.
Marvel's most critically acclaimed title Black Panther,
but it is beaten by Marvel's critically acclaimed Black Panther at 96.
And it says that in their review of the series,
a brutal atlas tour de force,
Daredevil born again season two as Marvel masterstroke.
Let's see Charlie Cox take on the man without fear to unprecedented heights,
delivering the definitive take on Daredevil.
That is what they had to say.
I'm just that the last line struck me as like the definitive take.
That guy after season one of Netflix gave us the definitive take on Daredevil.
I see that, and I'm like five seasons,
and now you think he's the definitive Daredevil?
Like, that guy has been killing it for a decade.
Why do you think he was the one to transfer over?
No one's ever doubted Charlie Cox's Daredevil.
From the beginning, he's like the guy.
So that's a weird,
but everyone seems to love it.
Have you watched it yet?
I think it's only one.
No, I was trying to, I mean,
we are still in a very slow process of watching the Netflix seasons.
Because you're getting it first?
Yeah, no, I have.
He hasn't seen it, and I'm like, you would love the show.
So yeah, we're, I think almost done.
And then we'll watch season one and then get to season two,
I've been looking forward to it.
I have not either.
And I say this because I got rid of Disney Plus.
Yeah, last year, I wasn't really watching anything.
And it was really like
disappointing with the shows that were coming out.
And then like every single year, they raise it.
And it's not like $2.
No, they jacking up like 20 bucks every year.
So I did what I tell people to do.
If you don't want something, don't watch it.
And I was like, all right, cancel.
I'm not.
So I'll either rent it, you know, go to friends house and watch it.
Because I will definitely watch it.
And I heard Wonder Man is awesome.
It's so good.
I heard I heard.
And everyone's like, Mike is someone in the acting industry.
You have to actually similar to you.
I hadn't watched a show on Disney Plus in a long time.
So when I got, when we were late to Wonder Man,
and then we were like, oh, I'm really glad that we could walk.
I think I actually re-downloaded the app for Wonder Man.
Oh, it's definitely going to be really good.
It was really good.
It was really good.
It was really good.
Because again, I love Charlie Cox's Daredevil.
I will say this, though.
I did not like season one of the born again on Disney Plus.
I think a lot of people felt that way.
Yeah, it was like, I know I read all of the, you know,
all of the, sorry, I'm trying to get this note here
to get up for the show.
Everyone, you know, I know there was a lot of drama behind the scenes
and everything like that.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Yeah, there was a lot.
They've changed showrunners.
Oh, okay.
It was just a lot of like
figuring out what they were doing.
Yeah.
And you could definitely see that.
You definitely saw all of that stuff happening behind the scenes.
And it was like, the first episode was good.
But then it like, there's a lot of CGI in the action.
And then other characters popped up.
And it was just like, what am I watching here?
And then the show is interesting
because the episodes that I saw
that were the original ones before the new team came in.
Like they did episode one, the new team, they redid it.
Then like two, three and four were the old team.
And then from then on was the new team.
But the old team, I was like, I kind of like what they did better.
It was like, it's like, they tried.
The first one tried to do something different.
The first group.
And then I think they realized it wasn't enough
like the Netflix show.
But then the train had already left the station.
So I don't know how they tried to change it.
So but apparently every issue that people have had
has been corrected for this.
And the cast is great.
The cast is just awesome.
They're great.
So I will definitely find a way to watch it.
Yeah, me too.
Me too.
Let us know in the chat what you guys think of Daredevil.
If you saw it, I think it's the only one episode.
I like that they're only doing the one episode of weak drops.
Again, that's another thing that they did because Wonderman
and I think it was Ironheart.
They're like, uh, here it all is.
It's so funny because
Wonderman, they did, they did dirty.
I don't know if they didn't think it was going to be good.
And I know I talked to my friends about this.
It was developed in a time when Marvel was trying to develop everything.
It came out in that like three, four years ago
where like she hawk moonlight, Ironheart.
That goes going to get a TV show.
Everyone's getting TV shows.
It's like Oprah Winfrey.
You're going to TV show and you're going to TV show.
But I think it was really well done because they got a second season.
Yes, yes, yes.
So clearly they were in the wrong on that.
And I guess the showrunner was talking, he gave a great article.
He said there was a period we almost didn't go forward
because they weren't feeling it.
And luckily the gods of whatever looked down on us and saved us.
And I was like, that shows you that he execs.
A lot of people don't know a lot of times what they want.
It's hard.
I do think Marvel is in a hard position.
I don't envy any of the major studios.
You're very, very tough right now.
TV and Marsal.
DC and Marsal's.
Marsal.
Marsal.
Oh, DC and Marsal.
Marsal, Shell.
Yeah, I don't know what the right make sure is for them.
So I think I don't necessarily blame them,
but it's like you have Yahya,
who looks like he could be a superhero, but I would just.
I like him.
You got to believe it's tough because Marvel had a rough year last year.
They did.
I thought I didn't think Thunderbolts was going to do well
just because it wasn't well known, but it's a very well done movie.
It is.
But I truly thought Fantastic Four was going to be a big one.
And it's so well done.
I know.
I just didn't.
I love it.
Spider-Man will be a hit regardless.
Spider-Man sure Batman.
And then it's evergreen like.
Yes.
It's always going to do well.
Always and worldwide.
Yeah.
Now, Doomsday, that's an interesting one.
Because like Spider-Man no way home hit.
It was awesome.
And then we had a bunch of movies that were good after that.
Like it wasn't like, oh, we're back.
They fixed it.
No, it's totally different.
Because even then deadpool Wolverine did huge.
And it's like, oh, we're back.
No, yeah, that's what I'm saying.
I don't know what works and what that like.
So Spider-Man will.
Spider-Man then Doomsday, then Secret War.
So maybe you'll do three massive ones.
But those are also massive, massive movies.
What do you do after that?
Right.
Do Blaine comes out after 10 years of trying to get that work.
We're never getting paid out.
I said that.
I don't like to be proud of when they stuff say stuff like this.
But for years, I was like, it's not like.
No, it sucks.
It sucks for us.
And it was like, it's happening.
When Mahershali joined Jurassic, the franchise, I was like, he's done.
Because I was thinking of him as an actor.
I was like, how many opportunities is he passing?
We're like, no, hold your schedule.
Right.
Hold your schedule.
You can't do that.
We've got you.
Oh, we're not going to be ready to go.
I think his people are like, dude, we're getting you a franchise.
This is BS.
Yeah, you're one of the best working actors.
We cannot keep holding the line.
And he has not been around much.
Right.
Yeah.
So anyway.
Anyway, anyway, you're a little born again.
Give us your thoughts.
I think we got one more story.
And then we're going to get to some questions.
What are the, how do I pull up what we're looking at right now?
Super chats.
I can't tell what we're at.
How do I do this?
I just saw Luke's message to us that he said, skip Daredevil.
Do the DC story.
But sorry Luke, so we should we skip the DC story.
Maybe go to the store.
Maybe go to questions.
Go to questions.
Let me see the private chat.
What's Luke saying?
Oh, I just see that right now.
Oh, Luke said that like 10 minutes ago.
Sorry, I know, I know.
Sorry, Luke.
Should we skip DC and just go to questions?
Let us know Luke.
Let us know Luke.
We'll sit here and talk.
But we are at 60.
How do you see that already?
You see the starred 60 on next to the live tab.
On the right side of the chat.
Hold on chat live.
starred 60.
Yes.
Oh, okay.
That's what we see.
Oh, we're on strong.
Right.
So we need 46 more to win.
Or to tie and we started.
Okay, yeah.
So 46 more to win now.
So keep sending in support.
We really appreciate you guys.
Luke, I saw your under comments section.
I see what you said about that.
But do you want us to do?
Do you think so?
Do you see or go right to the questions, Luke?
We're going to defer to your expert judgment on this one.
Did you see PLD jump in there for a second?
I did.
PLD is he.
I thought he was going to let himself in or not.
You know what?
I saw PLD there for a second.
And you know what I thought when I saw PLD?
Did you shit man?
I love this.
Hold on.
Muster.
It's fun.
This is fun.
Amazing.
Let's go over.
I'm nail with your photo today.
Oh God.
By who?
What do you mean by who?
It's by Luke and Christian.
It's my thumbnail.
Oh, God.
Okay, here we go.
This is I feel bad because
they've asked us months ago for the new pictures months ago.
Oh my God, Luke.
I forgot about that, brother.
I'm sorry.
Take this.
I got that message when I was on vacation.
So I was like, I'll get it when I get back.
And I did it.
I didn't.
And then I did it.
Harlow threw me under the bus on the show.
And later that day, I had a self-tape.
And I'm like, you know what?
I'll be all done up.
I'll be transparent.
You haven't played.
I'll be playing background.
I'm going to knock on a bunch of these.
Didn't fucking do it.
I'm terrible.
So whatever my face gets to show up on that screen,
I have nothing to say about.
It's my own fault.
Totally.
Luke, I'm so sorry.
I totally forgot about that until you just brought that up.
That you asked us so nicely.
Oh, so I need to see how I can do this now.
So I see our chat rooted 64 right now.
Going into the questions, we have to be 106
with Roxy.
I think we can do it.
I think we can do it.
She probably pulled some business woman BS.
I know.
She's very smart.
She's very savvy.
Did you hear how I beat them the other week, though?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
It was so hard up on air.
He's like, he asked.
He's like, hey, didn't.
Does Shannon know about the interview with Penny Barbell?
Right.
And I said, no.
Because she did.
I didn't bring it up because I just.
Mike, you guys have been together for nearly a decade.
I know.
I know.
But those are going to say, like, hey, babe.
I'm taking a porn star.
You know, my favorite porn star.
I'm going to have her on the show.
And he goes, transparency.
Mike, transparency.
Can we call her on air?
I was like, and it's my and my huboer.
So I'm like, yeah, go ahead.
Call her on air.
And I go, oh, but we got to hit a hundred.
That was very smart.
Yeah.
And was there an after show discussion
between the two of you?
Yeah.
I played that cool for you on air.
You pucker.
Yeah.
Yeah.
There was some after after.
Oh, Shannon's stronger than me.
Like, what the fuck?
I know.
And you blow it.
Did you do that stuff?
Did you pull out?
No, I'm not.
And you blew it.
All right.
Let's get into these chats.
Shall we hear?
Yes.
All right.
Armade.
8YT.
Mike.
Nice buddy boy.
That's me.
Who's that?
Is that you in the?
This is me.
Who's the mommy chain?
That's iconic.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
In no hands.
I love it.
Did I tell you what I wanted to say to her?
And I could it because if you've,
I don't know if you've seen clips.
Like I was not myself.
I was very.
Timidon reserved.
I was.
I was.
Dump on the story.
You were seeing your star.
So she told me I had to call her mommy.
All right.
And now what I should have said,
what I should have said was this.
Now, Penny, I believe I'm quite older than you.
So you need to call me daddy.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
But of course, I thought about that like five hours later.
Right.
I hate when that happens when you're like,
you get mad and you blow it.
Blow it.
I blew it.
All right.
Here we go.
Next one.
Michael DA 81 member for nine months.
Oh, God, there's me again.
So Mike,
you've become the star of the show.
Do you know that?
I love his video chats and it's all my sound bites.
Amazing.
Yeah, because you're the star of the show.
Mike, think there'll be an announcement
for Doomsday by chance.
This has been a year ago today with chairs.
Keep on rocking.
I think they're going to hold off
and focus on Spidey right now.
I think you got to get
the, like, let's Spidey play out.
Billion views with that trailer.
Like that.
And then you think you think like a monster after Spidey,
they're going to start like rolling out.
All right.
I think the trailer will be attached to that movie.
Oh, right.
And then kind of thus begins the next.
It's, it's a good, I think six months after that.
I don't know.
I don't think trailer,
but I think that one of the end credits will have some.
Of course, yes, indeed.
All right, let's go.
Next one here.
What do we got?
A man at 8 YT?
Probably going to watch all the Harry Potter's
before the show.
Is that me too?
Can't believe me.
Oh my god.
That's amazing.
What is that?
Is that like a,
am I, is that a,
like a space helmet on my head?
Oh, that's you in the dude's body.
Christian's dog.
Oh, God.
Oh, God.
I love your laugh.
I've missed your laugh, Steph.
All right.
Yeah, that's a good idea by watching the trailer,
watching the movies.
I won't because I spent four years of my life watching
those movies incessantly.
Right.
I don't blame you.
Yeah.
My choice.
Thanks a lot, Mike.
Whenever I see Penny now on only fans or anywhere else,
I think of you.
Love that for you guys.
Sorry, buddy.
Got any more stars you want to ruin for me?
Why would I want to do that?
I just want to, I'll pop it up in the corner like this from now on.
Hey, guys.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Steph.
What are we going to do?
What are you going to do?
What are you going to do?
David,
Jordan.
Mike, you mentioned you worked at the parks.
Were you friends with specific characters?
Yes, I love that you say that.
Let's see, it's weird because some roles that I did,
I can say,
like I spent 10 years in Orlando at Disney and Universal,
and then it's been 15 years out here now.
I was friends with Spider-Man.
I was friends with Zorro.
I did, but I also did shows like the eighth voyage of Sinbad Terminator
out here.
I'm friends with the Roman Bates.
I'm friends with Optimus Prime.
Did the water world show?
Did Indiana Jones show?
A lot of different things.
A lot of different shows, but
good times, good times.
All right, what do we got here?
We're at 68 right now.
This is Mark L.
Already, and I'm loving this episode.
I bet that was probably the top when we didn't know what we were doing.
When we didn't know how to pull up the...
But I'm going to say, this is going pretty damn smooth,
except for the not being able to put the screen share.
Totally.
That's a technical thing that we did not think to cover,
because my computer just wouldn't love you.
I know this, man.
Okay, here we go.
Next question, what do you got?
Mike Joyce.
Whenever she says mommy in her videos, I giggle now.
I'm glad I could give you something to giggle about.
Right.
Right.
Yes, that's right.
Here we go.
LJ Films, S1.
Hope you're well.
You gorgeous mofos.
Thank you so much, you too.
I love that.
I like that icon.
That's a cool logo, buddy.
Yeah, that is.
It kind of looks like a premier soccer league or a football league,
as they call it in Europe.
Yeah, you're...
You've got the mommy glow about your kid.
How much longer you got?
I just entered the third trimester.
Can you believe it?
So this is...
So you've been six months?
So you got three months?
Seven months.
Seven.
I'm in month seven now.
Gotcha.
Okay, so the gag about pregnancy is that technically they're like,
okay, so you have two more months,
because you're like eight, nine.
But it's...
You go the full four weeks of the nine months.
So it's kind of technically 10 months.
Does that make sense?
It's 40 weeks.
So she's...
They...
You don't know, right?
You didn't do that.
I could say...
Oh, you did.
You do.
Yeah, I caught Diva.
Ready to take over this world.
What was that choice?
Like, how did that happen?
Like, we're doing...
You know, we're knowing.
H9...
I picture you guys doing a big gender reveal.
No.
First of all, I hate 99% of gender reveal parties.
Well, because some of like...
I absolutely detest when...
It's fine.
It's human to maybe have gender disappointment
if you have like three girls or three boys
and you want the opposites back.
You're right.
You're right.
But to like film yourself
and put that disappointment on screen
is so sad for the future child.
And just like...
Not a good...
Not a good vibe.
I can see that.
For the first kid and the second kid,
I think it's cute like to like cut the cake or, you know,
but the amount of like...
balloons that have gone in the air
and just caused pollution and
fire started.
I just didn't want to...
Well, if I did anything,
it probably would have been like a cake
cutting and with Harry.
But we did just decide it against it.
Well, we didn't really get to decide against it.
What happened was both of us couldn't
contain ourselves.
And the moment I got the email at 6am,
the doctor said,
if you don't want to know the gender yet,
do not open the first email.
Open the second one that will be by me
just letting you know everything's okay.
Because it comes with the way they know so early,
because they know what 10 weeks is they do a blood check.
And they kind of try to check for like major genetic disorders.
Yeah.
And in that, because they're checking chromosomes,
they can check what the gender is.
So as soon as we got it,
I'm like, should we wait to get a cake or something?
And he's like, open the email.
I was like, okay.
So we opened it alone in bed at like 6am.
We were so excited.
Ah, that's awesome.
Next question.
What do we got here?
Lincoln West 8833.
Yesterday's show with SMETS was awesome.
I hope you will be on with you too as well someday.
Yes, this question curious what your answer would be.
Who wins in a fight?
A wookie or a gorilla?
Oh, that's a good question.
Is it a wookie kind of a girl?
I think so, but a gorilla would definitely be faster than a wookie.
Like, I've never seen Shibaka run.
Have you seen the wookie's run?
A little bit.
A little bit.
Like, wait, yeah, when they're,
but it's not fast like a gorilla.
It's true.
And I haven't seen them climb.
I haven't seen them swing.
Honestly, okay, this is a thing.
If the wookie comes equipped with its normal regalia,
like, you know, the guns or whatever, they'll win.
But if it's just fist-to-fist, it's a gorilla.
Okay, so with, um, what's it going to say?
If SMETS being on the show, yeah, I heard it was going to start coming out more
because we're going to be doing some changing of the days.
I think coming up Harlop was going to be doing.
Um, I don't know if I want to be on with SMETS.
You want to know why?
Because every episode will turn into
Shmodown competition, chats coming in, going,
Hey, you guys got to compete for this.
And we're going to do it.
And him and I are so competitive.
I am so out of the Shmodown game.
I don't know anything anymore.
But I love talking with SMETS.
Tell me this, at what point do you think you guys would stop beefing about
Shmodown on air?
Never?
Have you ever talked to SMETS?
Yeah, I love it.
Yeah, that's his thing.
That's his, he, he is,
because it's so tied to his health journey.
Right.
You know, SMETS can't, it's such a, it's such a,
it's a very big part of my life, the Shmodown.
But for him, it is a chapter of his life that was,
he was able to combine two different things.
Like I was like, I was like, right,
from my life very much.
But I've met so many people and friends from it.
So I love it.
And if it's like, you're like,
we made LA friends or SMETS on people.
They are.
Yeah.
So I would do it again, but I would,
I don't know, we taught, we'd, we'd joke like Harlow is like,
if he got two million dollars, he would bring it back.
But I told him, I would bring it back,
but I wanted all to be scripted.
I want all the wins and losses to be scripted.
Yeah.
To deal with that stress.
Ah, I don't know if you're saying that.
Right, right, right, right.
All right, and I see the sec, here we go, this next question.
This is a good one.
If you're under George and if I have, hey guys,
I'm sure you're probably aware of this,
but discussion is spelled wrong on the title of the live.
I see this right now, and I think I can edit it.
Diet cushioned.
How about?
Diagon Alley.
Hold on, I think I did it.
Diggin Alley.
Diggin Alley.
Oh, it's streamers.
Oh, did it.
You did it.
You did it.
In a year, please edit it at the start.
Oh, it says I have to edit it at the start time.
But I see it changed.
Yeah, changed.
Okay, there we go.
Oh, wait, PLG is calling us.
What does PLB say?
Oh, he's giving it.
Oh, he did it.
Hold on, let's put, let's get, I want to put him,
how can I can't put him on there?
Oh, I've only got the two shot.
I can't stick, oh, there we go.
Oh, God, get out of here.
How do I do?
Where's the video?
I think, oh, I think.
Did you shit, man?
No, just show your, just no PLD just showed up.
That's how.
PLD did it.
Yeah.
You know it.
Do you know what you are?
Cop?
Oh,
hold on, hold on.
Hey, hey, Herala, Herala.
Oh, damn, it's not like, God, where is it?
Hey, wellie.
Oh, that's so scary.
All right, let me get back to these chats here.
We're doing good.
We're at 76.
We're climbing.
Keep going, guys.
Here we go.
All right, let me see, here we go.
Got this next one.
Giant Patreza.
I like the first look at Harry Potter books fine.
Interest to see what's included.
I hope the kids are looked after
and people online are kind.
That's what we were talking about, buddy.
We hope so as well.
We've already seen some shit.
Totally great.
Hopefully they will deal with that.
All right, next question.
The shame, Mark L.
I hope the magic looks more fantastical in the show.
I always were a bit underwhelmed
with the colorful lava wizard battles.
CJA has come so far now.
Shay, we talked about the whimsy.
Yeah, they need to bring the whimsy.
Yeah, we'll be interesting to see what they do with the
wand battles.
That's the wizard battles.
That's a good point.
I think this one goes right into that.
Yeah.
Peter Colenco, 92.99.
Agree on more whimsy.
Plenty of time when book and story
takes a moodier darker tone in the later books.
Also, we'd like to see a bit more color
brightness saturation.
Actors acting look great.
Yeah, I think so.
Looking back, for me, it's like,
I just think of HBO.
And it's kind of like they do have a very
certain tone.
Like, and it happened with the lanterns trailer too.
You know, people are wanting a lot of the colorful stuff
and stuff, but it's an HBO show.
When you say the word HBO, there's a prestige that goes
with it and people have an idea.
So maybe that's what they're doing.
I don't know.
I can't speak on that one though.
Yeah, I think that they'll pull the brightness up
and the saturation for when they get to Hogwarts.
But I think there was a little bit of a difference I saw
between when he was in with the Dursleys
and when he entered school.
I think so.
All right, here we go.
Next one.
Go pal.
Love mask.
I got Scott.
I got Rhino with Scott and T-Bob.
You did, buddy?
Steph, I know you don't know.
We're talking about those are the toys
that went with that cartoon.
They just did.
Look at this.
You could see they actually got this guy right here.
What are the two?
This is.
This is my favorite guy.
He was like a musician rock star
that like doubled as a hero.
There's a new toy company that's coming out.
I know, you know, all this nostalgia is back and stuff
and they really kind of got the toy line
and are redoing it.
So yeah, nostalgia, baby.
They know what they're doing to get my money.
Every month, the month I'm spending on toys,
you wait, okay, here we go.
Let's talk about this real quick
because we got, what do we have?
78 questions.
We got quite a bit of time left.
We got a hit 106 to beat Roxy.
That's only less than 30 away.
We can do it.
We can do it.
Do you and the H-man
with your finances?
Yes.
Separate accounts?
Joint?
Two separate and then a joint?
Separate.
We don't want to talk about separate.
Separate.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But it's not, but I could have access to whatever
and vice versa.
Yeah.
Like, we know that all of each other's
passwords and everything.
Yeah, like, because I, I tell you
up what I spent on toys and stuff
for like a couple months.
Oh my god.
You're like, I'm glad you can't see that.
I was like, what am I doing?
What am I doing with my life?
Sometimes I have big spending months
and I think when I look back at like the line items
and like, fuck.
Yeah, the line items are like,
I am doing with my life.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm like, why is that the monthly bill?
And I'm like, oh, okay.
Yeah, exactly.
All right.
It's hard being a fashion girl
you all pregnant and changing size every month.
Because I'm like, oh, god.
And your accessories and your
kitchen.
I have to provide the looks.
I have to provide the looks.
You do.
There's nothing.
Not just for one anymore.
It's for two.
No, she needs it.
More than me.
Armada, 8 YT.
I wonder why Hugh Grant wasn't cast in the Harry Potter show.
Tell me before I'll die.
I don't know why they didn't.
Quite charming.
And I don't know why they would walk me on there.
Savage.
That's the extent of my Hugh Grant.
He's just blabbering.
Oh my god.
They can't cast.
I think they did a really good job of what they did with you.
What?
Go ahead.
I'm no good.
I mean,
I like their casting because it's like,
you know, all those actors and the, you know,
the adult actors and you're like,
they're really good actors,
but they're not like oversaturated in the market,
which I think is important other than like,
John, let's go.
But I feel like I haven't seen him in a role like this.
So I,
right.
And he has so much hair and makeup on that.
I think he'll be fine.
I could have seen,
I get, Hugh Grant's a bit older now,
but I could have seen him as, uh,
uh,
got a Guild or a Lockhart.
The role played by Kenneth Branagh,
like the kind of,
oh my god.
I love that character.
And he's probably my favorite character in the book.
Like I could have,
I could have seen Hugh Grant playing the part.
Hi.
But let's see what we got here.
What's the next,
well, did I just get,
let me make sure to skip one.
Yes.
Okay.
Uh, uh,
this is, uh,
Conrad 0404.
Excited to see the TV show.
I think they can put all the details in the show.
I'm afraid that the racist haters will ruin the views
because of Snape.
It is a wild change to me,
but if he can act it,
it won't matter.
Black, by the way.
Um,
I don't think it will affect
that specific issue would affect the views at all.
They have a lot of things that are in uphill battle.
You know, a lot of people hate JK.
Um,
a lot of people will hate the race swapping.
A lot of people will hate it because it's a redo.
Um,
I wonder what the UK thinks about that.
Or if the,
because like, I feel like America is so heavy on identity politics.
I wonder if they're like,
I don't care.
I'm curious what the discourse is there for the casting.
I've seen a couple,
I fall a lot of political stuff.
And there's definitely some that popped up
with that trailer drop.
There are people that don't talk about Potter ever,
but then something comes up where it would be
a political firebrand type scenario like this.
And then like,
they have to chime in and just like,
okay, ignore that.
I rather listen to the people that like the books
in the movies and,
you know, but it's,
I'm surprised.
There's not all a bigger pushback on the whole JK of it all.
But I think it's like,
it's, it's like,
you want to love Potter because you're so awesome,
but it's
horror is created by someone you don't,
that says, you know, it's a weird.
It's very weird when something is so good.
Like, you know,
right, you know,
we're up in the air about Michael Jackson,
but
oh, yeah, that's a great one.
His music is so,
I mean, King of Pop.
King of Pop.
That movie is going to make a billion.
Yeah, you just kind of,
it's hard like when art is,
the art itself is so, so good.
I think that it kind of moves past the person,
itself sometimes.
Um, you know,
I'm curious because I would think,
and this just comes from me working at Universal
and the Potter and the Parks.
And how much say she has over everything there,
that she had to get approval on casting.
There was no way that they would have cast this without her saying.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
She was very,
no, I don't want, you know,
you don't like my say?
Well, you don't get to do the show.
I think she was very much involved.
I think she was very much involved.
I think that because she's,
yeah, I think, you know, for me,
I don't like her and I don't agree with
how she spends her time and money
because it's just hateful.
And I am a woman.
I see some people like being like,
people don't, people agree with her.
It's like, it's really interesting coming from men
who have like no stake in this specific conversation.
Like, that's nothing to do with you.
But I, I think that to me,
it's like a production as you know,
being in the industry.
There's so many more people getting jobs,
so many new opportunities.
The story itself is so magical and teaches a lot of great ethics
and ways to be friends.
Good friends that it's like,
I'm excited for the younger generation.
Yeah, and I look at it now like,
she hasn't touched those books.
They're still there at a time when,
you know, it's not like she's creating the new
chapter in Harry Potter and it's
following what she feels.
You know, it's very,
yeah, we'll see.
We'll see.
It'll be interesting.
I'm, you know, we'll see.
Next up, what do you,
go pal, that James Sirus Bullying
may have a tinge now.
What do you mean, buddy?
They're James.
Oh, oh, yeah, that's interesting.
Someone else is in the calling.
Yeah, we'll show me the comment.
Yeah, there's something.
I don't remember this because again,
this is a book's thing.
Does, yeah, Snape
or James get hung in the movie?
I think they hang in by his feet in the book.
Yeah, so they're kind of like saying that.
Yeah, I'm like,
are they going to lean into that or not?
Yeah, I'm sure.
I mean, they, you know, these are
people who have made lots of movies and TV shows.
I'm sure that they thought about this.
So I am curious to see if they lean into it more
because there is, you know,
a historical context that wasn't there before
or if what they'll do.
Yeah, oh, oh,
Derek Johnson's support.
Hey, Derek.
Derek Johnson's support.
Oh, my boy's here.
Derek Johnson's support.
Derek Johnson's support.
Oh, boy, I gotta make sure he had all these.
Go pal, was it important going to do soups in the black suit?
Yes, the Tim Burton version
with Nick Cage,
but it was going to be his regeneration suit.
They're like, that's
once he dies, he comes back in the regeneration suit
like in the comics.
But yeah, we call him that one.
Derek Johnson's support.
Good to see you, buddy.
I've been seeing you in a while.
Oh, here we go.
This is from Peter Colenco, 9299.
Steph, that shirt jacket is fire.
Look at you, kid.
Thank you. You know, I,
we're randomly on a neighbor.
It in my, when I lived in the valley
and he was like, just,
and he was like the non creepy dude,
just like a cool guy.
And he's like, I have, I make these jackets.
Can I give it to you in your roommate?
And then he gave us these.
I was like, let's see.
You're actually very talented.
Thank you. Wow.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
What does your shirt say?
Oh, may all your Delulu's become Trilulu.
Like your delusions become reality.
Yeah, exactly my living, living in the whimsy.
And look at you getting it,
getting through Lululu's living in my Lululu.
Get that whimsy, baby.
Mike, have you ever seen the 90s British show,
Sharp about the polyonic wars.
Sean Bean rises through the ranks against aristocracy.
Can't be but great.
I never even heard of that.
I gotta tell you something.
I don't watch a lot of British television.
I need to watch more.
I think as a kid, I had a teacher that made us watch Dr. Hu
because they love Dr. Hu.
And I just was like, even as a kid,
I was like, this looks like shit.
Like I never got Dr. Hu.
I was never into it because it always looked so cheesy and cheap.
And I think as a kid that just stuck to any time,
I think British television, I think cheap.
Yeah, I know it's a terrible,
immature way to think about that.
I know.
I do feel like it's super Hollywood elitist of you.
I did like the bodyguard with Richard Matt
and that show was awesome.
Let's see.
I've had to have watched a ton of shows,
like British shows.
Yeah.
Uh, that are really famous.
I don't know.
Like, oh, flea bag.
That was awesome.
They're so sweet.
That's for you while the bridge, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Slow horses.
So good.
I mean, yes.
I know British television nowadays has come much further.
Yeah, yeah.
You got all the Ricky,
all the Ricky's your face, all his shows.
Culture yourself, Mike.
Well, you know,
dumb American that I am.
Right, right.
All right.
What do we got here?
Peaky blinders.
Okay, you guys might kill me for this.
That's a British show.
I think so.
I've never watched the series, guys.
I want.
I watched the movie.
Is that wrong?
Well, it's six seasons or something.
But now, okay.
Did you, were you lost watching the movie or not?
Not really.
There you go.
I kind of, they did a good job of being like,
this is the established OG gangster.
Don't mess with him.
He's in recluse right now.
For some reason or another,
you kind of find that out.
And now he gets pulled back into the scene
for some reason or another.
And that's kind of all you need to know.
That's it.
That's it.
Step for climbing at a hundred.
Hey.
Yeah, Johnson.
Support, buddy.
Go pal or was Burton's suit rainbow and glowing?
There was the behind the scenes where they did,
they showed that suit.
And it had like the LED lighting going through it.
But I don't know to be honest with you,
which one would have been the film?
Don't know, but there was a lot of the behind the scenes stuff.
Derek Johnson, support.
Eric Johnson.
Eric.
Support.
We got to have okay.
Here we go.
Oh, here's the going king of the wicker people.
Giving state.
This was the part giving.
Snape is black.
How do you?
Oh, given Snape.
It's black.
How do you think they'll hand of the marauders
hanging snake up there?
We go upside from the tree.
Will they lean into the race of narrative
or not?
I believe this was has caused a problem
around the scene.
Fans won't be pleased either way
in your opinion.
Well,
thank you for each donation.
Yes, thank you for explaining that.
Yeah.
Yeah, the fans definitely won't be pleased either way.
So let me let me say to you what's best for the story.
And I think as someone that is disassociated from the books,
if I see the character hanging from his feet,
I don't think the fact he was a black man would have made me go,
oh, this is if it's in the books.
And he's described as a white man.
So she's not trying to do a racial thing
when she originally wrote the books.
I think they might just ignore it
and just we're going to do it like in the book.
If, okay, yeah, I kind of have one of two ways about it.
If they're just trying to kind of make Snape is, you know,
a misunderstood wizard.
And he dealt with hella bullying growing up.
Then there's a ton of ways that they could show bullying
that could be equally effective.
If JK and the team around casting hired pop up
because not only was he the best actor,
but provided an opportunity to make the character more complex
that perhaps he was more misunderstood and bullied
because of his skin color,
then there is something really strong to be leaned in there.
It kind of just depends on what they're trying to tell.
So you think when they cast him, they're like,
oh, this opens a whole nother.
I don't know.
Maybe, maybe, that's interesting.
Yeah, even think about that.
Could be because kind of like when you think of wicked,
it's like Elphaba in the plays has been white a lot.
But, oh, you're right.
But Cynthia Arriba Arriba being a black actress
being hired, provided an entire new opportunity
to make the character even more deep
and have like a huge connection with a wider audience.
Yeah.
I didn't even think about that.
Could be.
That is a great question.
Thank you for that.
Derek Johnson's support.
Derek Johnson's support.
And Derek Johnson's support.
Oh, we're 107.
We beat it and we have still got a ways to go.
Thank you guys.
We're amazing.
And I didn't even have to sacrifice my relationship
for this.
Right?
Support.
Please, Mike.
I got to check on my girl Shannon.
Oh, God, no.
Oh, she's fine.
Support.
Support.
Support.
Support.
You know what it means?
It just means that I need to keep my game up
if you catch my drift.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You see what I'm saying?
Yes, I do.
It's like, well, you have that many hours watched.
Yeah, let's see it.
Yes, the game's got to be kept up.
And I don't know if I'm fulfilling that into the bargain, right?
Mike, get it together.
It's got a lot going on.
Okay.
Got so much going on, but that's not an excuse.
Did I hit the support?
I think I did.
I remember what Shannon told me basically.
Oh, no, what's this?
It was like the first time we really were meeting.
She said, when I, when Mike and I were deciding
to get like, be boyfriend and girlfriend,
like, be together, I gave him like three things
that he needs to provide at all time.
The three apps.
I need to be, what is it?
Fed.
I said feed me, fuck me, make me laugh.
Right, right.
Okay, it wasn't three apps, but.
Not three apps, but you get two apps in an L.
Right, right.
So I think it was like feed fuck funny.
Right, oh, there it is.
There it is.
So get it together.
Yeah, they need to have these, these three things.
And then she, yeah.
Yeah.
And that's hard.
I make her laugh every day.
Okay, great.
That's a given.
You feed her.
She does the cooking, but I do when we go out, I take care of it
like when we go out for dinner, like, that's okay.
Okay, okay.
And then that other one.
Mike, get it.
I know.
I know.
That's what happens when you're just like it.
This is why I'm not like, I know the biggest advocate
of watching too much porn because you get, oh, no, no, it's,
you're saying that, but you don't know that.
It's desensitizing you and you're, it's like, you know, it's,
you got to do moderation, moderation, okay, okay, I can see what
you're saying.
Okay.
Maybe you're saying, yeah, you.
There you go.
I, I, I, I know the, I know the contract and I know the commitment.
So she's worth the commitment.
Yep.
Where are we at here?
Oh, you know, feel the George 95.
The actors playing Snape says he's had death threats.
Oh, Jesus.
Overtaking the role can, uh, people can just be so disgusting.
I hope production can look after everyone on set, like everyone's
surrounded in the production.
I'm sure if there's someone in that production that isn't
supportive, they're gone, like film sets and especially a TV show
when you're going to be working, I mean, they're going to be
working together for eight, nine years.
This is, they're going to grow up together.
These people.
I think it's a big family.
And if you've ever been on a set, they're incredibly diverse.
It is every walk of life, every sex, gender, race, on set.
It's always a massive melting pot.
And that's, that's, that's, I think why people in the industry are so
tolerant because of, it's just, it's what you, yeah, it's awesome.
You end up, yeah, just working with somebody.
Yeah.
I'm sure the actor knew going into this.
Unfortunately, that's the world we live in.
So hopefully that kind of knowledge doesn't make it better,
but makes it a little bit more manageable in terms of preparedness.
But it's such a bummer.
Yeah, I can't, I can't imagine what that would be like.
But on the other hand, you see, I'm just confident in himself where
he's like, fuck him, I'm going to be Snape.
I'm going to work for the next 10 years as an actor.
I'm going to be iconic.
Right.
Let people hate themselves.
Wait and see his performance.
Yeah.
All right, here we go next, next one we got.
Go pal, Andy, we're following the Dickens model.
Is that what Charles Dickens used to do?
Just release chapters?
I don't know.
Oh, I don't think Dickens had the internet,
but I get what you're saying.
He definitely didn't.
No.
Go pal, support.
Derek Johnson, support, Derek Johnson, support.
Derek Johnson.
Thanks Derek.
Support buddy.
Thank you very much.
Now this next one I love.
Tray Porter, thoughts on Tom Cruise being eyed
as the main villain for Miami Vice.
Now I did see that.
And I think it's fucking awesome.
Awesome.
Oh, that's cool.
I didn't see that.
Who is doing this?
Do we know who's directing this?
Because I don't know.
I thought they had a director announced.
I thought it was Austin Butler and Michael B. Jordan.
But then I could recent, but I heard this.
I heard Michael B. Jordan suddenly
because of that Oscar win.
Now I was asking for a lot more money.
So I guess his deal was not done.
So but Tom Cruise is a villain.
One of his best roles is Vincent in collateral
when he was the bad guy.
That would be awesome.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's a really versatile actor.
He tends to be the main leading hero,
but I just think of Tropic Thunder.
And I think what more can this guy do?
Yeah, as much as I want more mission of possible films,
I want to see him get that Oscar.
Right.
I think he will get an Oscar one day as an actor.
Oh, that's cool.
Yeah, I didn't even about that.
He's so good.
I want to just do a bunch of other stuff.
Like I'm excited for what's it called land man or digging dig?
Digger.
Digger.
I'm excited for that.
Like I think I think once he kind of,
it's tough because he's a 63 and doesn't look it.
But if he starts growing into his age
and just playing those more charactery roles and stuff,
I think he's a long career ahead of him still.
Back to you guys.
Yeah.
Derek Johnson support.
Derek Johnson support.
Guess what's next?
Derek Johnson support?
Yes.
We are currently at 111.
Nice.
Oh my gosh.
Derek Johnson more support.
Here we go.
Armada, AYT.
Where the hell is Batman?
Cape Crusader season two.
Wait a second.
He is beabuse.
Oh my gosh.
That's really good.
He's really good.
That's actually really good.
Like you guys have got to make a collection like send these.
Oh, we hold on Steph.
Are you on the discord?
No, I'm not.
Guys, I joined the discord.
I don't know what I'm doing on there.
Is it just you guys?
Well, I don't know.
Is it just you guys talking and then like I'll pop in and say hello?
Yes.
Yes.
That's it.
Yeah.
I would argue about an hour like two weeks ago.
It was hysterical.
The shit that they pulled up.
Hold on a second.
Do you want to see what they've got for me Steph?
Yes.
This group here, keep talking.
Hold on a second.
This is what they had when I signed into discord and they put up.
They're like, hey, it's Mike.
I'm like, it's me.
And then they put this up there.
Hold on.
Oh my god.
And then there's this great.
This is good though.
I do like this.
Well, but you're in the same hat.
That's my that's my one.
That's the one.
Jesus.
Yeah.
Anyway, I don't know, buddy.
I know it's greenlit.
I thought they had already worked on it, but it's animation.
So that's up takes forever.
I think it's just me one of those things.
It just pops out of nowhere and drops in.
But I'm excited for it, buddy.
I really want that.
Oh, I just lost my place here.
Here we go.
Derek Johnson's support.
Derek Johnson's support, buddy.
Great to see you pal.
There we go.
Go pal.
What do you think of DB?
Oh, Derek double born again, doing a single episode premiere
then a double next week followed by single ups until the end.
Oh, I would assume if they're doing a double episode,
it's because the episode is meant to be seen as one.
Yeah.
That's the only reason I can think.
That's it.
Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
I'm never really mad at it if by the end you're like,
okay, I really actually needed that.
Yeah.
There's a reason for it, I would assume.
Yeah.
Next up, we got Fiona George, 95.
I personally don't mind the Disney live action films
as long as they do something a bit different
and the characters are a bit more developed.
I guess what I thought with Aladdin,
I think didn't they add a musical number?
I think they did.
And the whole of the prints was great.
Billy Magnus and I think I loved him.
Yeah, I like that.
I like that one.
Yeah, I was just shot for shot.
A Tomer Brunette, sending love and support
to the always lovely step in the magnificent mic.
Thank you.
Oh, space, Jesus, 57.
My biggest issue with Harry Potter series
is that it seems too soon.
I know we get new Batman's,
but they don't copy the previous Batman story.
I just think it's too fresh.
A lot of people's minds.
That's, that's interesting.
I don't know if you heard our conversation earlier
where I was saying with Batman.
There's always, I think the biggest gap was probably 97 to 2005
between Batman and Robin and Batman begins.
I think that was the biggest gap of a Batman film.
And they were vastly different,
but you're right, it's the same story.
So I guess look, you got to look at it.
It's like there's probably two generations at this point now
that didn't see the films and theaters.
And they're going to be going into this fresh.
So I don't know.
That'll be interesting.
Yeah, I don't know.
It really depends how it turns out.
I'll say this, if they were doing movies,
I think it would be too soon.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think they had to differentiate them
themselves with the show
and giving the opportunity to tell more of the books
that we hadn't already seen.
And not being a fan of the books,
I know there are so many people that were like,
oh, this wasn't, they didn't do this, they didn't do this.
So I think for you guys that grew up with it
on the movies, you are now going to get
what you didn't get before.
So they're still thinking of you guys,
but also trying to bring new fans in.
So that's, yeah.
Right, next up, what do we got?
Support your Johnson.
And they're just a sport.
Armada, A-Y-T again, invincible is killing it.
I can't see the season, I haven't seen it.
Oh, you watch it all the time.
Yeah, I love the season.
I watch season one.
I actually think it did a watch along
back when we had the Shlodon channel for season one.
Yeah, it's, not for me.
What about it?
It's not for you.
It looked like a dark version of Spider-Man.
It is super dark.
Like, I didn't know the comic at all.
And I was like, holy moly, this gets dark.
It was funny.
I was watching an interview about Robert Kirkman,
the creator, and the comic didn't do well.
They were selling like 11,000 copies,
12,000 copies every month,
but because Walking Dead was so successful,
they were able to kind of like keep going.
And it was then the animated show that took it off.
Wow.
And I know comic people loved the book,
but it just didn't hit big numbers.
Right, right.
It's great to kind of see like the little engine that could.
Are there any new comics that, like,
new IP original characters that do really well?
Yeah, DC's really kind of dominating comics right now
that they're absolute lines doing good.
I'm trying to think
not really, a lot of stuff is bringing old IPs up again.
There's a, yeah, I don't know of anything.
Okay.
Derek Johnson, support, Derek Johnson, support,
Derek Johnson, support.
Here we go.
Go out.
When the studio assigns you and never gets around
and making the projects,
do you get paid anyway to hold your schedule
and not do other things?
Depends on your contract.
Yeah.
A lot of times, like, I'm sure Maharshali,
I don't know if he's getting paid
what he was contracted.
Well, he's contracted.
I don't, there's a thing called pay or play,
whereas if you get paid no matter what happens,
I think I want to say Nick Cage had that on Superman.
Like, if the movie didn't happen,
he still got his salary.
But I don't know, it's Marvel
and they are incredibly frugal with their money.
So I don't know.
I don't know if they keep him on retainer like that
or that's his contract
and if he's got good people, they did.
I mean, he was, Maharshali was hit in his stride.
I would think they say, okay,
you want him, you've got this.
Yeah, I would go right, right.
I don't know though.
Dear Johnson, support.
Thank you, Jerk.
Play Titus 1.
If you could use a Harry Potter spell and Penny Barber,
what would it be?
Oh, God.
Oh, God.
Longevis erectus.
Oh, my God.
Hey, Willie.
Oh, that was quick.
Steph, you talk about Wands.
Right.
Right. Am I right?
Right.
Cock?
That's right.
That's right.
There you go.
Support. Thank you, dear.
Support.
Oh, God, oh, God.
I can't do it.
Christian's unpronounceable.
This twerk shout out.
You got that right.
You took me forever to join that damn thing.
The amount of volume you just hit and lowered too was.
I got a lot of range.
Yeah, you do.
Hey, why do you made Project Helmary edits with Mike?
Oh, God.
Oh, nice.
Oh, God, what is this?
What is this?
They made a project, they made a one of me
with Penny and the Johnny Ham that was like,
I was like, oh, God, yeah, that was a good one.
Oh, boy, here we go.
What's this next one?
Where we at?
Armada, MIT, jury duty season two is pretty funny so far.
Oh, I want to see that.
I'm curious how this is going to work
because doesn't everyone know, isn't the jig up at this point?
No, like if I asked my parents if they knew about jury,
and it's not jury duty, it's a job, I think, this time.
Oh, isn't it, isn't it like a work retreat?
I think so, yeah.
That I saw, yeah, that's pretty funny.
Different contexts this time, but that makes sense.
Jury duty season one was so funny.
Oh, my God, I can't believe how good the actors were.
I think, for me, I love that.
I think of Marsden.
I love James Marsden.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was really fun.
That guy's so charming to me.
Yeah.
All right, what do we got here?
Next up, Cass, CT5, LV.
If you ever try context again,
have your doctor give you samples of several brands
and types daily, weekly, et cetera.
Finding the right ones for your eyes
makes a huge difference in comfort.
Good to know.
Okay.
I hope I never have to use.
I'm a glasses gal, I love glasses.
Because they're good, because you can do this.
What?
I can get it.
You can do stuff like that.
Yeah, see, RAC.
Yeah.
But I like the, what do you say?
Totally, that's very intense.
It sets the mood, sets the tone instantly.
It lets people know on business.
Right, that you're running the show.
That's right.
LJ Films, that's one.
It's a graphic from a real photo of me.
Wow.
Oh, awesome.
I did.
That's styling.
That's styling.
Like that.
Casey Grant.
Steph, you had me talk into my TVS day
watching your last video.
You were dropping gems one after another for like 15 minutes.
I was like, yes, girl.
Oh, gosh, yes, I love that.
What are you doing?
I did when I was getting ready for my birthday dinner.
I did like 30-ish life lessons that I've accumulated
until now.
And I was wondering, like, should I put them all?
Because it was like a 25-minute video or something like that.
But we'll put it into parts.
And I was like, no, just drop it all.
Thank you.
All right, support, dear Johnson.
Dear Johnson, got that support?
Well, the support for dear Johnson.
Thank you.
Dear Johnson, again, my body, jeez, man.
Kill it.
I can keep up with you, buddy.
Support for dear Johnson.
My joy, Mike, if you win the week, will you be the top-tipper
and penny show on Saturday?
I'm sure it'll make mommy happy.
Well, here's something you should know, Mike.
Just I don't even know what show you're talking about.
That's good.
That's good.
That should do a lot.
Here's the thing.
I don't subscribe to any only fans to things that that's like,
I know we joke about it on the show,
but I think I've kind of heightened it a little bit more
than what my intake is.
To me, this is what you've made it seem like.
You want me to tell you what I want to ruin
your opinion of me, Steph?
No, it's not that, but this is what I've gathered
and it could be wrong.
OK?
Yes.
So I think there was a moment where you told me,
like, Shannon, we'll go to bed and you kind of stay up
playing games most of the night.
You don't sleep very much, right?
Yeah.
So now I've been like, wow, was the games just watching?
No.
OK, OK.
I sleep, Jesus sleep for five hours.
That's really what you thought of me.
No, it's not what I thought of you.
It's what I thought you were doing.
No, I read.
I play video games.
That's right.
OK, OK, OK.
That's actually, honestly, that's the time when I write.
That's my, like, because it's quiet.
I can't write when Shannon's up.
Like, if we're on the couch, if I were the couch
and I have my laptop, she'll have TV on, like,
the dogs will be going crazy.
I need quiet.
Yeah, for me, and I love that time of night
because nothing's open.
I can't do anything.
I can't go anywhere.
Yeah, Harry's like that.
He's like a nighttime wizard.
He works so much.
You thought I'm sitting here and fucking.
And she's probably.
This was I, this is a mess.
I think this was a mistake with whole big thing.
Anyway, anyway, we're all on the go back.
I think I love it.
We're at 117.
Hell yeah, guys.
The rocks.
We got to go higher because I want to keep us strong
against Vincent and Chris.
Yeah, with Chris.
Derek Johnson's support.
Go pal, we've already seen some shit.
Sound like Cosby or Eddie Murphy's Cosby from RAW.
Stuff, filth, stuff.
Wait, did I say we've already seen some shit?
I don't know.
Go pal always had.
Go pal, I always want to know his references.
And I feel like I'm like 10 steps behind.
Because go pal, give you this.
I'm going to do a Cosby impression
if I know what you're talking about.
I got a good Cosby.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Yeah, I got a good one.
OK, I got a good one.
Hold on, Derek Johnson's support.
Derek Johnson's support.
Hugh Grant.
Where are you leaving me impression?
No, oh, my God, I got I got to know what he's talking about.
I can't just say, OK, OK, OK, OK.
Hugh Grant sounds like a fudge.
What's that?
What's a fudge?
I don't know what that means.
Like a fudge candy?
I don't know.
Derek, you grant sounds like a fudge.
I just know my Hugh Grant impressions from the Simpsons
because he's always like, I'm telling him to be a fuddle.
No, no, no, no, no.
That's what he would grant us, like, I don't know.
Derek Johnson, oh, coming in with not support,
but this is a life lesson here.
Never do joint accounts.
It's not a matter of trust.
It's just good financial intelligence.
Also, if you can avoid filing taxes
as married filing jointly, never do that either.
There you go.
I think there's a misconception about filing jointly
because I've heard about this.
Like, some people thought if you filed jointly
once you can never not file jointly again,
and that's not true, at least in California.
So I think it kind of depends on your year
and what that specific year's calling for.
Yeah.
Could be.
Derek Johnson's support.
But Derek, thank you for that piece of advice there, though.
Yeah, the separate accounts is always great.
Always great.
Yeah.
C Michael T, member for 11 months, thank you.
Mike, I have a vivid memory of you
as Indiana Jones at Disney World many, many years ago.
I think I was able to get a picture to you.
You were very cool.
No way, dude.
No way.
If you have a picture of me, that's all.
Like, I'll tell you this.
I love taking pictures with people
because when I first, when I was a kid,
I think I was like 13 when Indiana, when the park opened,
and we went there for the summer, and I saw the show.
And the actors were, they stayed after, and I met them.
And I was like, I want to be a stuntman and an actor
when I grow up, you know, what can I do?
And they were so kind to me.
And they took so much time to talk to me about that.
So I remembered that when I got that part,
I would want to do that for people
and to talk to people.
I love meeting people.
But the cool thing was when I did finally get the show,
I met the girl that was Marion
from so many years ago that she was there
when she took the picture with me.
Oh, that's weird.
And she was like, wow, I feel incredibly old now.
Right, right.
But I was just like, no, you guys, you were so core memory
impactful of my life.
And I, you know, wanted to do that when I grew up
and there I was doing it.
Right.
Yeah.
If you have that, please find it.
Please find it.
We missed a super chat from the beginning.
I'm going to press it.
But then you do the rest, okay?
From my corporate talk.
We need a tie breaker for discord,
March Madness bracket.
Choose between Seth Rogen versus Rogen at consent.
The only criteria is moving TV projects.
How did I miss that?
I'm sorry.
Let's see.
I would pick, Seth Rogen.
I'd pick Seth Rogen.
To me, to me, Rogen, that gets in as Mr. Bean
and that's it.
Yeah.
Okay, now you continue on with the show.
Okay, hold on.
Let me make sure, okay, I got my goals.
Let's see, Michael, we got a support.
Kind of ran O404.
Hugh Grant could definitely be Professor Quirrell.
How he talks.
Yeah, he's a mumbler.
Oh, that's funny.
Quirrell is that mumbler.
That'd be funny.
Yeah, he could.
That's a really good, good call on that one.
Derek Johnson's support.
Derek Johnson's support.
Oh, Derek Johnson's support.
Thanks, Derek.
Derek.
We got it.
Armada, 8-8-8.
Kind of wanted Prodigy Calmary to be more serious.
Hmm.
Uh, oh, God, is that me a sick freed?
Oh, my God, it's Tiger King hell, yeah.
Chris, that's awesome.
I thought it was the right amount of serious
because when it needed to be, it got serious.
I don't want to spoil anything for Steph.
So I have no expectations of what the tone should be.
Steph, you're gonna, you're gonna love the movie.
You're gonna love it.
You know, I'm like a feel good type movie gal.
So I like that.
You are, I don't love this movie.
Yeah.
Derek Johnson's support.
Big bang, O.T. 4.
Was Timmy Robbed of an Oscar back to back year?
Was Timmy Robbed of an Oscar back to back years?
Who won last year?
Oh, Shalamet.
Last year, again, this is why I don't play
the show anymore.
I don't know.
Tell us what's up.
This year, I don't think so.
His performance was wonderful in Marty's Supreme.
I'm definitely deserve the nomination,
but to say, Robbed, I don't think so.
Let's see, 2025 Oscar.
Best lead actor.
I mean, he's a guy, he's gonna get one one day.
Of course, that's why I'm like.
And as he says, I'm not doing this acting BS anymore.
Okay, so Ray Fines was nominated for Conclave.
I think he won, right?
No, Adrian Brody won for the brutalist.
Yeah.
Well, that was last year.
And then Timothy Shalamet was a complete unknown.
I actually like Timothy a complete unknown more than Marty.
The Bob Dylan movie.
Yeah, that's right.
Yeah.
Because the character is more likable than Marty's Supreme.
Yeah.
But not because of his acting that's certainly so.
I don't know, like, I don't think Robbed.
I think that's why these are the best actors of roles of the year.
It's hard to say that.
Yeah, I agree.
That's a good, yeah.
Derek Johnson support.
Thank you, Derek.
Johnson support.
Thank you, Derek.
Here we go.
Big bang.
O.T. 4.
James Gunn, Joining Star Wars would be cool.
Yeah, but now it's like, he's one of the focus on D.C.
Yeah, he's got to keep, especially with everything.
Like, what I like with he seems to be doing, he's got Star Wars,
he's got Superman, Man of Tomorrow going.
He's kind of being a little less online.
I think that's just because he's so busy right now.
We're getting ready for this movie.
And then the whole Berger is happening.
But I just heard that the deal's in place,
but now it goes to the board.
And I think it's set like April 24th is the date that the board votes.
So it still cannot go, but we'll see.
Yeah, I think also it's like there's a price to pay
from the positive of being so stylistic in that, you know,
like a West Anderson film.
You're seeing a West Anderson film.
But it's his stories and they change every time,
but you know, like the tone kind of of what's going to happen.
James Gunn similar to like a James Gunn movie,
but he is attached to Massive IP.
So I don't know how many times you can attach to Massive IP.
And it work for everybody, but he loves his needle drops.
And that would not work in Star Wars.
Right.
Right.
Yeah, I could try.
All right, we got here.
I don't know.
I love James Gunn.
Michael D881, you ever guys watch Space?
Simon Pegg.
Simon Pegg, we're right from the show from the late 90s,
early 2000s, worth of watch, that I did not.
Those are one of those two actors are so good.
I know, but anytime I see the reminds you of
cheap British television, I'm just like, oh, my.
I know.
I know.
Derek Johnson's support.
Gopel, I think Baby Liz Hurley was one of the sharps.
Oh, and that the show, the British show.
Could of me.
Yeah, maybe.
I don't know.
Nathan Drake, the greatest gal performance.
You take it, Steph, you take it.
I forget how she said it was like, enough champagne
to fill the Nile.
I like Gal Gadot.
I like her with this.
You got it.
Look at you.
You're crying.
You're killing yourself here.
We're still going.
We're 123.
Jesus, support, support.
Gopel, Derek Johnson, support.
Derek Johnson, support.
Oh my gosh, Jesus.
Gopel, Steph, you're the right age for skins.
See it?
No, let's see, am I skins British drama series?
OK, no, I never saw this.
Oh, Nicholas Holt, wasn't it?
61 episodes, that's a lot.
It seems like a huge undertaking.
Yeah.
But no, I hadn't watched it.
Let's see what we got.
Derek Johnson, support.
I got it, Derek.
Thank you, buddy.
Thank you, Derek.
Hey, there, Kaleiko, 9299.
I woke her up.
Take quick breaks outside and feed nuts to the squirrels.
I was too busy today.
Walked outside to find a massive pile of squirrels
shot in my front porch.
No way.
I don't think I've ever seen squirrels shed.
Neither of high.
I think that's good luck, Peter.
Yeah, but Peter, if you're feeding them,
they're going to do it somewhere, pal.
Right.
Hey, it's a thank you.
Yeah, I was just going to say, maybe they're
saying, thank you, sir.
Right.
Thank you very much.
You gave me something.
I'm giving you something.
Into that, I say.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
Exactly.
Sleeve.
See what we got here.
Derek Johnson, glad I could step in and throw some support,
apologize for not being around.
But the world is in sale.
Is it five alarm fire mode?
And my job's been nonstop.
Totally.
I don't know what you do, buddy, but it sounds like it's important.
But yes, you got that right.
It is a five alarm fire.
And we're so glad to have you.
Thank you.
Yes, sir, anytime you pop it, it's always great seeing you, pal.
My choice.
I think you skips at rich.
We got it, buddy, but thank you for that.
Look at that.
They're covering each other.
They got you, Sam.
They got you.
I feel bad.
Carla usually misses one.
I don't miss.
Go, pal.
Did they just give cruise on every Oscar?
I believe so.
But like, you know, and again, I'm sure he loves that.
But I want him to win an acting Oscar.
For sure.
Oh, God, Michael, they didn't want to check the latest
Discord chat, new edit.
OK, I'm going to do this right now as we're doing this here.
Here we go.
Any interest in the new Kill You with Zazzy Beats?
I love Zazzy.
I feel like.
I love Zazzy Beats, too.
She's so good.
But I haven't even heard about this, so I don't know.
But I saw one trailer and it looked really good.
OK, I'm out.
They will kill you.
Here we go.
Oh, God.
Oh, what is this?
Oh, my God.
Look at these pictures.
Oh, Jesus, they're all here.
Oh, gosh.
Here we go, guys.
We're going to do the first thing here.
Oh, God.
And then they got me screwed up the thing.
Oh, my God.
Look at this.
You clowns.
Was this how married me?
So this is a hell of a cast and they will kill you.
I know.
It looks great.
Tom and Heather Graham, Patricia Arquette.
Yeah.
Armada, AYT.
Also, Apex trailer with Terran Egerton looks good.
I saw it was posted.
I didn't see it yet.
I'll check it out.
Armada, Mike, can you do a Pierce Brosnan?
No.
He's really just kind of a straight British dude.
I probably can imitate some lines from Bond,
but that's probably it.
I got my sign.
This is crazy.
You watch my brand?
I don't.
Hey, hey, Stefan Mike.
Oh, this is Alice Mithy.
Hey, Mike.
Stefan, I turned 50 on Sunday.
Please make you feel better about the impending attorney
of darkness that awaits us all.
Cheer me up, thanks.
Well, happy birthday.
Happy birthday, my friend.
But I'm going to tell you this, my friend.
When I turned 50, that's when things started going wrong.
Like that's when I started, like, like,
I'm just saying, like, I started getting gastro reflux,
like acid and digestion.
I'm like, what the fuck is this?
Like my doctor's like, yeah, Mike, you're 50, pal.
Things started happening.
Like just like, indigestion.
I'm like, I don't have this.
Like, I got that now.
Are you on like a special diet?
Well, I'm on this like eight week.
I've got a sleep kind of at an angle.
And yeah.
Okay.
You're just weird stuff as you get older, yeah.
But like, but there's also like such a goodness to it.
Oh, like you've, I like being 50 because,
you know, if you've stayed healthy your whole life,
I feel like I'm in better shape now
than I was in my 30s.
Right.
In your wiser and you just feel, I feel like you have.
That's so much more to go on.
And yeah, yeah, you have half your life left.
And you know who you are, I feel like way more
and kind of have, like, less of having to prove yourself
to the world because, I don't know,
I feel like there's a comfort in age.
That's true.
Yeah.
Armada, what's your mic?
Do you still rage play Call of Duty?
I, what the hell is that picture of me now?
Oh my God.
Is that a dog with a giant chain on its neck?
That's actually so messed up.
I don't because I'll tell you why season two,
I think it is now with Call of Duty seven sucks.
Oh, like it's not even fun.
It's like you're, you're battling in people's heads
and it's awful.
They got rid of her dance right now in plunder,
which is the two main that I played mostly
and that's gone.
So I haven't played in months.
Wait, just a circle back on your gastro issues.
Are you still having like 20 diet coke today?
Of course, but that's not it.
That's not it though.
I asked about it.
Really?
The carbonation isn't completely ruining your stomach line.
Well, that might have been it from my whole life,
but that's not like, I just started happening.
It's just like, it's, he's just like,
and I was trying to think of like what is doing it, you know,
but that's your stomach changes.
Yeah, you just get older and you know,
then I talked to my mom and my mom had her whole life.
So I was like, oh, it's, it's her editor for me,
but it's not bad.
I'm not a medication or anything yet for it.
So yeah, you know, it's it's life.
Take it like it goes.
Let's see what next up.
Gopal Mike said we've already seen some shit.
Is referring to, and then there's another one by him.
I believe about the snake reaction.
Oh, yeah, I'm just saying we've already seen some shit
like the talking shit for a snake casting.
Yeah, did you want me to say that as Bill Cosby?
We've got to see the snake playing with the Papadoo
is the actor Papadoo and time to see some shit.
Have a jello pudding pop stick it in your mouth.
Oh, yeah, that's my Bill Cosby.
Well done.
I don't take it.
And when you hit the bar step,
don't put in the drinks on the table without covers on them.
Oh my God.
All right, where are we at?
Hold on, let me go back here.
We are over time, but we're still going crazy.
I think Gopal had this about the snake reaction.
Yes, here we go.
Derek Johnson, once you file a joint,
you once you file a jointly,
once the accounts of the IRS are always connected.
Even if you get a divorce,
that filing layer is always connected.
Filing head of household covers you
in a lot of different ways.
Ooh, smart man.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Filing head of household covers you.
That's more for you stuff.
Okay, I don't know.
Yeah, that's that's I'm not like worried about divorce.
No, ask a 420.
Hey, do you like love or hate pop tarts?
Steph.
Man, I haven't had a pop tarte in ever.
I think they're fine with you.
I love them.
Okay, well, I'm kind of a health nut.
Are you not like an annoying one,
but yeah, like I don't know.
I should say this.
I was never I watched what I ate,
but I was never overly conscious of my sweet tooth,
but then I'd say for the past month,
I started tracking calories to get down to like my macros
and stuff.
And now I'm like, no, I don't want those
because that'll put me over my calories.
Right.
I just started trying to like learn a little bit more about that
because I started eating so much fruit and pregnancy.
And you know, it's kind of like got to have some moderation
and everything.
Like I was literally eating like eight fruit today.
But if you just have like an apple with nothing on it,
it's like super high glycemic.
But if you pair it with almond butter,
then you're kind of,
then it's processing slower in your body.
So there's just things that's like when you know too much,
it kind of is like, damn, okay,
maybe I just won't even have it.
Yeah, but they have a protein pop tarte
that I was not sure about.
They're actually pretty good.
Okay.
Yeah, pretty good.
Next up, go pal.
Cornelius Fudge was the minister of magic and Harry Potter.
Oh, I see what you're saying.
Okay, again.
Okay.
Again.
I'm not much more down anymore.
Right.
Go pal's always so ahead of the game.
Like we're coming up to you in here.
Peter Colligo, you guys rule,
made squirrel poop whimsical.
Hell yeah.
Of course, pal.
Of course, man, that's what we're here for.
Go pal, they made skins and two season batches
with different cast so three generations.
Every British actor you know in that age range
is in the show.
Okay.
Okay, what's this?
Trek stars.
Steph, any thoughts on the new leads
for season two of Bridgerton?
Yes, it'll be Francesca and Michaela.
It was this officially announced by Bridgerton
or was this because I saw it,
but I just couldn't tell if that was guesses
or if that was the official announcement.
I Francesca blew me away this season.
I'm obsessed with that actress.
So kind of anything more with her,
I'm kind of excited about.
I was thinking that they were going to get to this story,
but I thought they'd maybe wait a season
to kind of let the death of John Simmer a little bit,
but we'll see.
I'm excited to see what they say.
Damn, I'm trying to bring PLD and shit.
All right, Haskell.
Mike, wait, I just, I just, I just, I, I skip one.
Armada, A.Y.T. does Julia Child
like the Harry Potter trailer?
Well, no, no, the Harry Potter trailers
that didn't put any of me in there.
Do you know if the Harry Potter
at the Hogwarts school has a cook
and the kitchen props I could bring the cook
because they have all the sweets and the turkies
and the things when they come to the big bowl room,
I get on coming with the turkiness
and the turkey for the children.
I love to cook for children.
I can make soufflé and be light and fluffy.
So I think you should come up with the name
to put the cook in the Hogwarts school for Julia.
Period.
There you go, Julia Child.
I got a lot of voices, Steph Haskell.
Mike, get ready because T's finally happening.
Pop Tarts, super stuffed with 50% more filling,
strawberry cinnamon and molten lava cake,
chocolate with fudge filling.
I'm gonna tell you something, Haskell.
I'm not a big like filling guy.
Like I don't like double stuff Oreos.
I don't like, I like my, my filling's light.
What about you, Steph?
This doesn't really apply to me,
but if I'm like thinking about cake,
I like extra frosting, so.
Oh, you're like Shannon.
She looks frosting.
I like less frosting.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, let's good to know.
I'm a sauce person, so it kind of goes hand in hand.
Yeah, sauce it up.
Yeah.
When you get nuggets,
do you like the sauce up your nuggets?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Which favorite sauce?
Holy dipped.
I like honey mustard and ranch is always good.
Yeah.
All right, finishing up here, here we go.
Yeah, yeah.
D81 throw in some support.
Mike, go see Prachi,
I'm married for the fourth time this week
in the school's magical.
Wow, such a rewatchable movie,
even with the runtime.
That's awesome, Michael.
Yeah, man, I get so, yeah.
Armada 8 YT, Mike,
do you think of Penny when you see Mance?
Yeah, 100% too.
What?
I don't even need to get a haircut.
That's Penny, Bobber.
Oh, God.
Yeah, it's got me.
I think this is the last one.
Mike, Armada 8 YT, Mike,
would you be down to go on movie fights?
Yeah, I would.
It's a screen junkies, right?
Yeah, I would love to do that.
I've been a big fan of that show for a very long time.
I think that's it, Steph.
Yeah.
No, no, no, no, no.
Another one just came in.
Okay.
Oh, where'd it go?
Mike's Julia Child also
tens toward Cosby.
Do you think they sound similar?
Because they find like,
I don't trust you, sir.
Would you lift your hands off of my dreams?
Oh, you got to get the woman and the woman who got them.
I love to see the weight on you.
You're shaking the weight.
Perhaps you can make me the general puttin' pop,
puttin' in your mouth, all.
What does Mance talk to him?
I'm putting in your mouth, sir.
I'd like to put my fist in your mouth
for the things you've done.
All right, guys, we've done this.
We got it.
We got it.
No, that was it.
Yes, that was it.
We're done.
Hold on a second.
Let me get to my media assets.
Okay, is there an outro here?
Steph.
Thank you, guys.
Well, I'm figuring this out.
Steph, hold on.
Let me see here.
Tell the people where to find you.
At stepsabrahYouTube.com,
slash stepsabrah just dropped a new video yesterday.
Would really appreciate that.
And thanks for giving us so much support today, guys.
Guys, you guys were awesome.
Let me get back here.
Harlow will most likely be back.
I don't know when he's off doing what not
and who knows what not.
Man, we hit a record number 133 for our first show together.
This was awesome.
You guys can find me wherever you want at my canalski.
You know, that, guys.
We'll see you.
Flash.
Ah, Mr. Sam Jones.
And like that, he's gone.
What the fuck?
Do you know that story, Steph?
No.
That's when I blew a schmode on match on a question
that I knew.
Oh my god, Mike.
That question I would have, I found out I would have,
Jeff Schneider would have had gone to his five pointer.
And Harlow had told him the questions,
like they have like a bank of questions
or what they would answer.
And then Snyder admitted he wouldn't have gotten the question.
He would have been, so I would have won.
And that meant I would have gone to New York
to face, oh god, oh yada, for the single title story.
Maybe you would have gone in and claimed crash.
So I could have, and you blow it.
Did you blow it?
The only three belted champion.
Yeah, I did blow it.
And on that,
