Heavy bombardment of Iran, Israel strikes Beirut

The Israeli military said new wave of attacks in Iran's capital terror strikes on Wednesday

was so intense that officials cancelled the morning ceremony for Supreme Leader Alekha Menei

who was assassinated in earlier attacks, more than 1,000 people have been killed since

the U.S. and Israel began their assault on Saturday.

In Lebanon, Israeli air strikes have been pounding areas across the country, including

the capital Beirut, the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has been escalating fast

since the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader.

The Sri Lankan navies recovered nearly 90 bodies off its coast after an American submarine

torpedoed an Iranian warship.

Iran's Foreign Minister says the U.S. will regret the attack.

Air raid sirens sounded across Israel overnight as the country's air defenses worked

to intercept Iranian missiles.

They said 11 people have been killed there since the conflict began.

And in Qatar, authorities are evacuating residents near the U.S. Embassy in Doha as

a temporary precaution.

It comes after Iranian drones struck the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, as well as the U.S.

consulate in Dubai.

And the conflict in Iran has sent shot waves across the global energy market, all shipments

through the street of Hamas have been paralyzed since Thursday, choking off a vital route.

South Korea says it will run out of liquefied natural gas in about nine days.

Well, we are live in Tehran, Ramallah, Beirut, Doha and Washington, but first let's

go to Tohid Asadi, who's in the Iranian capital.

Tohid, Israel in the past hour has announced another wave of major attacks on the Iranian

capital.

How is Tehran, and indeed other cities, reeling from these attacks and those that have come

before?

It must have been incredibly worrying time for particularly populated centres like the

capital.

Well, actually a few minutes ago, we witnessed a new wave of Israeli strikes, and I'm

not sure if it's clear in the picture, but scratching across behind me from right to

left is our actually columns of thick smoke, actually rising into air, and that is the

sign of continuation of these recent strikes after we heard after sound of massive explosions

across the Iranian capital in Tehran, and of course, the reports are coming about the

continuation of these strikes across the country.

And that is on the one hand, while on the other hand, the Iranian side is coming with

the statements about the continuation of the retaliatory strikes.

And the Israeli territory is US military bases in the region, and that is the sign of

nothing but more and more escalation.
