Helicopter Rescue Saves Tree Worker in Medical Emergency
A San Jose tree worker hit a medical emergency high up in a tree he was cutting and it took
a helicopter rescue to get him down safe.
This went down Friday, April 24th, 2026, around 10-10am on the 2900 block of Sunburst Drive.
Fire crews rode up quick but saw they needed air support from Cal Fire, so they called
in the chopper team to handle the tricky hoist.
The video the department dropped on social media shows the whole intense lift off from
the branches, pulling the guy out steady and dropping him too.
Solid ground without a hitch.
He's now at a hospital listed in series condition, but the pros made sure he got there fast for
the care he needs.
Cases like this hit home, how these jobs push limits daily, staying sharp saves lives
every time.
That's the story for today.
