Hell on Earth (Ep. 306)

In today’s Sunday Bible Study, I walk us through Revelation 9—one of the most sobering and terrifying chapters in Scripture.

We examine the opening of the bottomless pit, the release of tormenting locust-like beings, and the staggering reality that even under severe judgment a hardened world still refuses to repent. I unpack the text verse by verse, consider the imagery of the “bottomless pit,” the five-month period of torment, and the sixth trumpet’s 200 million horsemen, exploring prophetic cross-references in Isaiah 66 and Ezekiel 38.

We close by reflecting on the heart issue at the center of it all: judgment exposes sin, but only grace softens the will—so the time to turn to Christ is now.
