Hendon Hooker Returns Home to Titans

On April 1st, former Tennessee Volunteer's quarterback, Hendon Hooker, is coming home to the pros with the Titans.

The team is signing him to a free agent deal, bringing back a Nashville native who starred for the Vols.

Drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2023, Hooker has had a short NFL stint so far.

He bounced around from Detroit to Carolina and the New York Jets, appearing in just three games last year, with nine pass attempts total.

Now, he's getting another shot in Tennessee, where it all started for him in college.

Hooker lit up the SEC in 2022, as a principal player of the year, throwing for 3,135 yards, 27.

Touchdowns, and only two picks.

He went nine and two as a starter that season before an injury cut his short, leaving fans hungry for his return.

The Titans quarterback room looks stacked now, with Cam Ward leading as the former number one pick in his second year.

Mitchell Trubisky is back up, and, with Levis rounding it out, Hooker's old draft classmate and SEC foe.

They've also grabbed other pieces like wide receivers, Wendell Robinson and KJ Osborne, to build depth.

This move feels like destiny for Hooker, linking his Vols glory back to Tennessee football, and it bolsters a competitive QB group ready to push.
