Hitchens Blasts Trump Visit: 'Absurd' for King Charles to Go

On April 2nd, Peter Hitchens, the sharp male on Sunday columnist, just dropped a bomb

show on the Oles Vine and Hitchens podcast, calling it absurd.

For King Charles to head to the White House, next month the hang with President Trump.

Hitchens wants the UK to scrap the whole state visit after Trump's recent jabs at Brinn

and his troops.

Trump stirred the pot back in January, questioning NATO's loyalty and claiming British forces

hung back from the front lines in Afghanistan.

That's despite 457 UK service members dying there from 2001 to 2021, most in combat.

Trump did walk it back after King Charles raised concerns, praising UK troops as second

to none.

But lately he's fired off more shots over UK bases for Iran strikes, new trade tariffs,

and handing Shagos islands to Maria's prompting senior.

Officials to push postponing the trip, with the visit lined up for America's 250th anniversary

bash at months end, these tensions have folks rethinking if it's worth the drama, or
