BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS

The movie kicks off with these repairmen doing repairs to people's houses exclusively using a wrench. At one of the houses, there's an elderly woman. This repair guy goes outside and calls this dude and says hey I found a sugar momma for you. He's like I'm not sure. She's probably too old. Find me a younger sugar momma.

Cut to the opening credits which is animated and tells the story of this couple getting married, having a kid, and ultimately getting a divorce. They work the best they can to raise this kid. So that's the whole backstory I guess.

Cut to 1 year later and we see a guy open a safe and pull out a yellow folder. We meet Raymond, the kid from the pictures. His parents are in town to celebrate Christmas a week early. His roommate could not be more ready for them to leave so he can undecorate for Christmas because he hates it.

Raymond's Army dad leaves early but ends up coming back because his flight is cancelled. We meet Raymond's mom's new boyfriend - Greg and Greg is the sugar momma guy from the beginning! Turns out there's going to be a blizzard and everyone has to stay there, including Raymond's roommate and his 2 friends.

Greg goes next door where one of the repairmen lives. He hands Greg a gun but implores him to get the money and not kill anyone in the process. He's like it's going to be complicated now that everyone is there but ok.

Raymond is shocked to see his mom smoking weed with his friend, Winnie.

The power goes out and Christmas day comes and Greg and his partner strike! They gas everyone and hold them hostage at gunpoint. They tie them all up with Christmas lights. They decide the best course of action is to rob this place and then burn the house down. Luckily, they get loose and Raymond takes Greg down and dad shoots the other guy.

They all spend Christmas together and agree to spend every Christmas together moving forward.

This is a Bramble Jam podcast. Hi, I'm Brandon. I love Christmas Heist movies. Hey, I'm Dan and I despise Christmas Heist movies. I'm Alonzo and Olive oil is nature's milk and this. Is that over podcast? That's the home market since podcast. Brandon and friends host his podcast. We hope you like this dolly podcast. I love this movie. Let's see what you've got. What are you talking about? What's the story behind the podcast? You know, 2025 list release this movie and then they were like,

what jingle bell heist is coming out on Netflix. So we can't do that. Halliday. Don't go. Don't go. Don't go. Listen. Yeah. Gotta be the best. Not a holiday. Yeah, a holiday. We're the other holiday. No. The. Yeah, no, it took me a second on two bela's and my car. I know I want the 2025 one. Yes, you do. Did you found it? Well, we're going to find out about this movie here in just a second. But Alonzo, how are you happy September? Happy September. Happy Labor Day weekend, everybody. Yeah. Burmoths. They're here. We did it. Are you saying burr yet? I'm on fire. You know, it is the thing about, you know, LA summer starts late. We, you know, I mean, not so much this year, but generally speaking, May, June, there's a lot of marine layers. It doesn't really start heating up until July. And then it stays hot like into October. Yeah.

So, yeah, the Burmoths are purely hypothetical. Burmoths are state of mind. It was a state of mind. Yeah. We were out there when my wife and I were out there in May. It was delightful. It was way better. I mean, we're already dead in summer in May here, but it was great in LA. I loved it. Yeah. Those are, that's peak time to come, although it's hilarious when you see, well, actually, it kind of happened to you too. You see the tourists who show up in shorts and they're like, yeah, you had to run out in biohudi. I had to, we were at that mall where the Ketsuya is and I had to go into that dumb store and buy a hoodie. And I was just like, I can't believe I'm buying a hoodie at a mall and like, just take my money and throw it before lighting a fire. And I did, I had to buy a hoodie. I wore it one time and I've not worn it since. I don't know who you are anymore. Yeah. I was like, I was like, 20 bucks. I think it took Christmas con, you know. Sarah's taken, my wife's taken it. She wears all the time around that. She loves it. She thinks it's very comfortable. I like it great. Good for you. Yeah. Very good. We are, I mean, coming up in the next couple of weeks, getting our home mark release schedule. It's going to be a big day around here. Big Super Bowl.

Let's get on the record, Alonso. What dates to release happening? How many movies? You told us. How many movies? Hang on. I got to check the text right. I planted here. Yeah. He planted it. I think it's 1632. But I could be misremembering. Hang on. I know that I believe it's the Wednesday. So I want to, so maybe that's the. That's the 16th. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. 16th. And then did I say 32 or 35? I don't remember. But I have it on paper somewhere. So I have committed to this. All right. That's a serious time. I take 32. I take 32. Well, that's a huge jump. That's a 33% jump. Still less of a decline though. Then 2020. Oh, no, I got a 24. Still calling 916 as announcement day. And I predict an even 30 titles. Oh, okay. No, I don't want an even 30. You don't want six more movies. It's 25% more movies. I want at least 10 more movies. Still last year. You want 10 more. I want 10 more. You want 34. I would, I would take 32.

But I don't happy with 34. I'm not settled on a number yet. But I am convinced that the new home art model. New home art model. Is going to increase the number significantly. But that is all acquisitions. So they are going to be. After sure. Getting strong into the acquisition game. More than they ever have in the past. So nothing from Maverick, I'm pretty sure. Yeah. No. But of the movies we're going to get. Like I'm going to. Let's say we get 30 movies. They're going to have 12 that they put their money behind. They're going to spend 30 to 40 million dollars on 12 movies. And they're going to have 18 that they spend about 15 million dollars on total. And those 18 we're going to wish we only had 24. And I'm already. Now I'm assuming I'm coming back for season three of Missile Tomergers. Oh no. Oh yeah. That we just sold off. Of course. Of course. Now are those premiering on the network or on the plus or do we know? That's a good question.

I really talked to Ken Cooper this week off the record about just him. He just just live. And he didn't tell us. We didn't ask. Okay. So I mean either way we're covered, but I was just curious. Yeah. Yeah. I would. What did they do last year? They did it on the network last year. And they was talking. It was a very way night. Two to two. They they ran the first season on the network for the first time. And then I think they they segwayed right into the second. Yeah. And then they did like televisions those on Thursday night movies Friday Saturday Sunday on script Monday. Right. So I don't think we're doing any other script. Yeah. I don't think we're doing any. Any five Mr. Chris was any baking any. Oh, boo. Yeah. I know. I know. Brands real pissed. He was hoping for season two of getting baked goods. I was going to say it. I mainly bound about finding Mr. Chris. Yeah. But also the treats. No, but we had decided. We did we decide that this year you and Brian were going to have to bake. I don't know. We had decided but it isn't because I won. That's the way I could just taste all the baked goods this year.

There we go. It doesn't matter as the winner and the the test maker. Brian make you something every week. And we know we don't the least. Well, how long that will tell him that the show is back, but we're not covering it. But he does have to bake. You know, typically I would say never trust a baker that looks like Brian Harle. But in this case, but Brian's stuff is usually pretty good. It's true. Yeah. He is like, you know, the thing about the small town and the barber with the bad haircut. That's right. The good barber because, you know, yeah, that's who he is. Yeah. Brian Harle, like makes the carbs and maintains a boom in system. I don't know how he does. Yeah. It's his bad haircut. That's how it. All right. Holiday Heist. Everybody. Holiday Heist. We're here. It's happening. This one originally aired on December 1st, I believe. He had December 1st, 2025. So good, good on him. Got it in there 25 days. So Christmas start off strong. Yeah. December 1st with holiday Heist. Let that, you know, I would. I would. Let the box office just rack up.

You know, I would like to see those towers at home, Mark. Just have their normal slate and one of them is a maverick. And just see how people respond. There's one champ dog. They would be the other. The comments of people going, I really didn't like this. Hallmarks going down here. Like no one would get it. But it'd be great. Released on a Wednesday at 10 in the morning. Howard's right after Christmas card. Just like eight a.m. Christmas card. 10 a.m. champ dog presents. Oh, man. What a time to be alive. All right. Don't let's do it. December 1st, 2025. And it went a little something like this. Now, the movie kicks off with these repair men doing repairs at these people's houses. Exclusively with a wrench. It's another wrench movie. It's only to repair it with wrench. It should have been the sign. At one of these houses, there's an elderly woman. And the repair guy goes outside and calls his students and says, Hey, I found a sugar mama for you.

He's like, how old? And she's pretty old. And she's like, I'm not so sure about that. Probably too old. Find me a younger sugar mama. Okay. And so he does. He does. Cut to the opening credits, which is animated and tells us the story of this couple getting married, having a kid, ultimately getting divorced. They worked the best they can to raise his kids. And that's the backstory. Okay. Cut to one year later from the beginning of this movie. And we see a guy open a safe and pulled out a yellow folder. He's the guy from the beginning of the movie that wanted a sugar mama. We then meet Raymond. He is the son from those pictures. His parents are in town to celebrate Christmas a week early. His roommate Dustin cannot be more ready for them to leave so that he can undecrate for Christmas because he hates it. And I hate Dustin. And I wish he wasn't in this movie.

I said it. Raymond's army dad leaves early. How do we know he's in the army? Well, he wears his army. I got it. Raymond's army dad leaves early but ends up coming right back because his flight is canceled. We meet Raymond's mom and Raymond's mom's boyfriend. His name is Greg. He's the sugar mama guy. Okay. Turns out there's going to be a blizzards. And everybody is going to stay there, including Raymond's roommate Dustin and their two friends that also happen to show up. Greg goes next door where one of the other repair dudes lives. He hands Greg a gun and implores him to get the money but not kill anyone in the process. No casualties. No casualties. No casualties. It's important. We don't want to kill anybody. He's like it's going to be complicated now that everybody is there but okay. Raymond is shocked to see his mom smoking weed with his friend Winnie.

That doesn't actually really matter that much. I thought maybe it was going to but it didn't. The power goes out and Christmas day comes and Greg and his partner strike. It's heist time, y'all. They gas everybody and hold them hostage at gunpoint. They tie them all up with Christmas lights and they decide the best course of action is to rob this place and then burn the house to the ground. Luckily they get loose and Raymond takes Greg down and his dad shoots the other guy. They did it. That was it. They all spend Christmas together and they agree to spend every Christmas together for the rest of their lives. Big promise and that my friends was holiday high. Sweet bit it. Let's take a break. We'll come back. We will break this movie down some more here on Tech the Hallmark.

Hi everybody. Welcome back. We're talking holiday heist today from 2025. Let's break this movie down with four seconds. We're going to start with a hot take so we're going to share exactly how we felt about this movie. We do not hold back. We'll start with you. Alonza, do you feel like you've been robbed? Weeding question. I would argue that a movie called Hollywood Heist. Holiday Heist. Holiday Heist is making two promises. Yep. One would be a heist and one would be a holiday and does not come through on either one. Nope. This is a bland movie in a featureless house with occasional mentions of Christmas and a crime that is so stupid it boggles the mind. Yep. That's what we're left with here. Basically, that's your holiday heist. Tada. Yeah. That's the movie. This, this movie. I don't even know.

I even really know because you know, Brian. No, I don't because they do such a bad job of explaining the heist. Yeah. You know how when you watch a heist movie, there's like a whole montage. There's a whole bunch of them explaining how they're going to do the heist. And then the safe is a double barrel, Stanley Martin. Yeah. And the explosives expert. This is not the getaway driver. That's right. Yeah, there's freeze frames. This is not a heist. The muscle. Yeah. I mean, they say a home robbery. That's also really bad and poorly. Yeah. And it's a fraud maybe. I don't know. And I'm pretty sure they're going to burn a bunch of people alive. That's their plan if I'm not mistaken. Yeah. Yeah. So they have to minimize their DNA. Dude, I don't want to talk about it. Yeah. So I mean, yeah, that's really bad. The, the, you're right, the lawns of the heist part of it. They did not deliver. I will say. I don't hate. A rap and Christmas lights around people. If you're going to do this type of movie at Christmas time, that's a nice touch.

They did that. So I will give that to them. I would say more holiday than a heist, but neither good. More holiday than heist, but neither good. Um, this movie sucks. It is so bad. And it is, they utilize AI for about 10 minutes of credits. There's an opening credit sequence that is so painful. And then it's three minutes long. And it, it's just the same song on repeat. And then you're like, God, I can't believe we got through this. Buckle up for the next hour, 10, because now we're about 10 minutes into the movie. And then in an hour, 12, it cuts to credits. And that's the rest of the movie. So an hour 20, 10 of which are just an AI credit sequence that is hysterical in its own right and shouldn't have never been shown. So that's a 12th of the movie right there. The other 1112s of this movie is just a cavalcade of bad acting.

I, I don't even, there is one performance. And I won't single them out because it does feel personal that might be the single worst acting I've ever seen doing this job. And, and like, there was no motivation. And I'm not even sure which one you need. That's the worst part of it. There was no motivation considered. There was no reaction. There was no anything aside from reading off of a sheet of paper. That's all that happened here. They don't know how high-swork. They don't know how Christmas works. They certainly don't know how army works. This movie is a mess. They don't have light. They don't know how light's work. They don't know how powerful. No. Oh, God. Is that, no. It is a very, very, very difficult watch. And I think it's because it's nonsensical. You know, last week we did the Aspen Christmas Conspiracy. And out and out bad movie. But that movie is soaring on the wings of Eagles compared to this movie. Because underneath all of the rubble of what happened to that movie is something that does make sense and could work in theory in a movie.

Not here. Not here. If you explain this on paper, there would be more questions than answers. There would be more like, well, why did they do this? Well, why did they do it here? Well, what's the point? They're going to do what now? Why this? Like, so much that doesn't work before the camera even rolls. So, yeah, it's not good. I mean, this movie was made for under $100. This is a group of people making a movie hoping to share in the profits on 2B. And God loved them. I hope they made a bunch of money. But don't mistake that for it having anything run by the camera. Like remotely unique to say or remotely excellent about how they say it. So, sorry. Ah, well, okay. It went. It's not wrong. I love that these are the movies that folks who make the movies always listen to the reviews. And they always need me just absolutely. Just strike the match on the table as I'm a live on fire. And it's like, guys, you made the movie. I am making the movie. You know what you put out. Don't tell me this was the best you had.

Stop it. You made three fifths of a cent by us watching it on a YouTube. Yeah, I put my money in the bank. I put it in. I said throw all those commercials. That's right. Yeah. I just don't, you know, I know it's like, I don't know these people. But I would assume that they're all capable of better. Get in any sort of second chance. I would like to believe that. Aside from that one person. Yeah. The person. Yeah. Aside from all the fields where you agreed with me too. I said it was the worst. And after 30 minutes, you went, you know, I think you're right. I think it is the worst that we've ever seen. Ever. You can't even like, like guess? Not. I have some candidates. Okay. You know, but I will talk all fine. Yeah, yeah. Of course. I mean, I think they all were troopers personally. And I will say it. It was Jared Leto. He was in there. I don't know if you know. He played what's his name that you hate? Skeletor. Yeah. Dustin. Yeah. He played Dustin.

It was a very method role for him and he just surprisingly enough the best he's ever been. Crap the best. Crap the best. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Highering Jared Leto. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Light. ried. This broke my heart. You. You're doing well with Lösung. I propose nothing. Yeah, of course not. Let's talk all the fields. Alanta. So there is a, there's a kind of,

I mean, a movement is saying too much, but there's definitely a sentiment online where that basically says, if your flyer is made with AI, I'm not coming to your events. Yeah, sure. Like you, I would rather you make, you use a sharpie on a piece of paper. Crayons, the basic information on crayons. Whatever. But you use AI, I'm not coming to your event because I, that you're already turning me off. So imagine my feeling of having to sit through the opening credits of this movie and not to mention the closing credits, where there's one AI image after another cartoon of this family evolving as the kid grows up. And it's like, you just know it's AI. It has that, that same look that every crappy AI cartoon has, the same sort of big round eyes and just like all that junk. And all of this taking place over, I swear a thing that I saw one time that y'all threw into a, our live video starts in two minutes with like a slay turning around.

You're right, I recognize it when you said it. And it just is on a loop. Oh my goodness. Just library footage. So, so yeah, my feel was fury that of what I was about to get because I was just, I can't remember the last time I've been this mad at an opening credit sequence. It was tough. And the thing is, is that it's so weird because maybe the most ingenious part of this filmmaker's movie is, how do I get you up to speed? Right? I decide to open with the bad guys. That's a move. Right? That's a move to open with the not the main characters of the movie. And we're supposed to remember them. And if they had some money and a budget to do that and then to do the equivalent of up, during the credits where you show this kid growing up and the parents falling apart and them splitting up, that's a good idea for how to, and you know what, all this cost you was time, bro. You could have done that with your own art

and you would have probably bought a lot of capital with the evenings of me. You could have found an illustrator in Atlanta who would be so thrilled to be in a movie that they would have really cut you a deal. Or even just family pictures. Like get a kid, get a kid. Get a higher child, do some, there's no people who are. There's a way, what? I'll just use it now during the fields. There's a scene where the husband and wife are eating dinner and the baby is crawling on the table with the dinner. What is that? No one scanned the photo and went, well that never, that's not a thing. And later we see the, like the tween version of the kid at the dinner table with like a mound that is half green and half yellow. Yeah, like you just, that kind of AI slot. Like to make, to do all of this other stuff where you have to shoot it practically, clearly in this one house. And then to not just give us a reason to pull for you.

Like it was embarrassing, real bad. Yeah, I don't know. Dan, did you search your heart and find nothing? I think I searched my heart and found nothing. Welcome aboard. Yeah, I think I did. I mean, I have an angry feels, but I'm saving that for what the home works. And now I'm kind of, kind of, kind of left empty. All right, let's take a break. We'll come back, we'll get to the way what and the what the home work here on. Back the home work. Welcome back. We're talking. We're talking holiday highs, but in the chat, brandwojamplus.com, you can watch all these live before they air. Summer says, brand vehemently hating on Jared Leto wasn't on my bingo card for today. Well, now you know, get a new bingo card, you know what I mean? You should be around him every day. It comes up more than you think. That's the free space. It's right. Yeah, brain the middle of the bingo card.

Brain complains about Jared Leto right there. AI posters are the Jared Leto of graphic design. It's like they're not even, they're not even good. If they were good, if it was a good graphic design, if it was a good poster, that'd be one thing, but they're not. AI Slopps, kids say, what people don't know though, we should probably give a peak by the curtain. And Jared loves my dad. We get in it, we get in it at 6 a.m. And we spend the wheel of Jared Leto and we have to watch. We have to watch. I don't know who we are before we start. It's a weird thing. It's a little things again. I know, right? Yeah. He's got a big belly in that one though. Wild. Yeah, wild 30 seconds to Mars place in the background. We have to do both at the same time. Oh, I know. Little things are suicide squad right now, Lonsa, which you got to watch again. Oh, God. Can I take the bullets? Give me little things. I want that on the record.

I'm not proud of it, but I'm just I'm answering the question. All right. You still get to see that's a good thing. You're still going to see Denzel. Yeah. Yeah. That doubt is best. Still Denzel. It is not as best. No. But it is still Denzel. I see his face. I get a little happy. So there's like a little, a little happiness there. All right. Wait, what? Yeah, I am. Lonsa. Yeah, I wrote down welcome to Plumber Talk. Oh, I agree that yes, starting with the villains is a bold gambit here. But they take the long way around to let you know what this is even about. For a long time, we're like, why is this guy borrowing a wrench? Like, what are we doing here? And then we get the 87 year old lady. Ma'am, you are in your 20s or 30s and wearing a wig and like kind of making a mouth to look like an alien. A lot of crazy thing that we do to start this movie. I thought it was a comedy. I can't was so. You could have hired an illustrator and you could have hired an actual octogenarian for this panel forwards.

Yeah, cut up. Yeah. Yeah. So as brand points out, we've after the horrible credits, one year later, wait, when you're after Plumber Talk or one year after the last AI file, you know, I said the same thing. I said, one year since what? That's the top. I think it was one year since Plumber. I believe so as well. One year since Plumber Talk again, that he was not clear. No, not at all. I have never seen less snow storm in a snow storm movie. Oh my gosh. Everybody keeps talking about it. Like the skies are clear. Yeah. You know, I mean, we do see some snow on the ground or the roof or whatever. They showed you cutaways that are just from different times. Yeah. Like they're not during the movie. Well, they used up all the water in the AI for the closing of the film in Predator. So you know, like could be that. But in this movie's defense, Alonzo, you have seen the Christmas Prince who watched about a month ago, which I think is the worst this is better snow than that. Yeah. Yep.

You're right. I was mentally blocking the vet. I get that. I get that. Yeah. But I don't want to allow it. This is in that ballpark of like where a snow storm is going to be key to this plot, but we cannot be bothered to actually show it to you. Just trust us. So I've made the joke for years that a lot of home art movies in fact, they were shot in model homes. Yep. But so many of these movies that we watch on festive Friday feel like they were shot in like recently a finished homes that have not yet been furnished. And there's certainly nothing on the walls and like there's just a blankness to everything. So much white on the wall and beige on the carpet and the couch. And this movie just yeah, operates in this realm of like, thank God for the Christmas decorations because there's nothing else that even implies human beings occupy this residence. And and and that's a typical thing for these movies but this one we just seem even blancher than usual.

The danger of brand and I watching these movies is that we look around our office and go we could shoot a movie here. Like literally like we watch enough of these movies and we go well, we already have the space for free. Why don't we shoot a movie? Because we would probably do it better and you've seen where we work. So I like it's crazy. There's an old John Waters line about like if a movie is boring I can always look at the lamps. And like if you're lucky, if you look at the lamp. The lamp? Sing your wish. Yeah, we should have such production values here. The whole movie is about Winnie and her body being a temple and like I drink olive oil and I make tea out of fish scales. And she has handed a bowl of crappy instant oatmeal and just digs right in. She spares it. That's right. Yeah. And I'm like, if you thought that like taking a fish oil capsule was too processed for you, you don't even want to know what is in the instant oatmeal that mom just handed you. If someone tells you that they eat clean

and don't look like they eat really clean that's because they don't, you know what I mean? Like that would be like me saying I eat clean. That would be like what that is. When I eat a pizza at least once a week, you know what I mean? Like I eat a whole pizza. But it is scrubbed clean. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, I clean the whole box out. No, it's like Luke and Gilmour girls. See they like keep telling us that Luke eats healthy and I'm like, I don't believe you. And he's like slinging burgers and bacon brownies and hanging out and like, Yeah, you're surrounded by cheesecake all day. I don't buy it. I don't buy it. Like Brian Harrell doesn't eat clean. Like that's not like clean. Like that is such a thing that we're just throwing around. We're this hippie downing instant oatmeal is saying she eats clean is just crazy. Yeah. It's up to a point, obviously. Until the lights go out and we clean ish. You know, everyone for themselves. I mentioned it before, but I got to mention again, we have to minimize their DNA. That is an actual line in this movie explaining why they need to burn the house down. I have so much. It's going to minimize their DNA.

Is that any of this work? So let's just go ahead and unpack this now because I have so many other way. Early in this movie, the guy from the beginning, the maintenance guy comes over and hands the boyfriend a gun with a silencer on it. Yes. But not then he but no bullets at first. And says no casualties. He hands him a gun with a silencer and says, don't kill anybody. So in my head, I'm like, we want this to be a bloodless crime. The reason he doesn't want to kill anybody is they're going to burn that mother to the ground. They're going to burn the people inside it. So apparently this guy believes that if you shoot someone and then burn them to ashes, that's worse than just burning them to ashes. I'll give him this much. What he means is the corner will be like, wait a minute. There's a bullet. I suspect foul play because of a bullet as opposed to whoopsie house fire. However, however, I even learned on CSI that if you burn someone, dental records still last DNA still last.

There of course, it doesn't just. You're not minimizing anything. Is it minimizing their, like the criminals DNA? Like they don't think that they can clean the house enough so that they won't leave behind the person DNA? No, I think he means the victims. I don't disagree with you. I'm just trying. I just don't know. I would argue, however, that what is a big red flag for the coroner, if this is supposed to look like an accident, is the fact that all of these people would have a plastic Christmas tree lights fused around there. Yeah, no one will know. Christmas, I just, I couldn't get over the reason we don't want any casualties is because we're going to burn them all alive. Like I just, like these guys I thought were killing clean. This is a, it's a Christmas movie. So we're not going to have any murder. No, no, no, that's not why I know casualties is because when we burn them alive, we don't want any bullets to be around. We burn them alive.

You're awful. They'll, they'll just have a bunch of non suspicious, you know, plastic, Christmas lighting fused into their, into their joints. We're going to burn them alive. But that's a fire erase is all the evidence. Yes, minimizes that DNA like nobody's business. I'm not going to live can't be charged with the same crime. Yes, they can. I've got the worst to turn. Also, you know, this movie is over in five seconds. Mr. trained by the military guys in the house. How do we get them out of the house? He just leaves. Yeah. He just leaves. He just wants everyone he loves is in danger. And then he comes back at the convenient moment to prevent the worst from happening. Yeah. And he said the, he went to go, I went to go get the police because the phone lines were down. I was like, I don't just say, maybe you stick around and just like, yeah, yeah. So I haven't noticed he wouldn't want to like, you know, karate anybody or somebody.

Right. They, they, okay, they, the, the, the nice neighbor next door who loans him the wrench gets the hit in the head for his troubles. Yeah. And stuffed into a closet. And then when they find him, rather than like call an EMT or try to get into a hospital, they're like, oh, we'll take him next door and prop him up against to a fireplace. I'm like, oh, yes, jossal the old man's spine. That's right. As much as possible. That's going to be the best thing for how to get a move and clocked in the head by a blunt instrument. Well, at least if he dies, he's going to be back in his own house. And there is always always always wants, right? The, the at some point it is suggested because of the blackout and because of the snow and they can't get anywhere that everybody should hand make presents. And the only person that does this is the mom and somehow in the matter of 48 hours, in which a good chunk of that she's being held hostage and tied up, she manages to whip up all made craft for everybody in the house.

So like Kudos, ma'am. One of which Alanto is developing old film. Yeah. Did you catch that? That's right. I'm got to think about that. You're right. In her dark room. Yeah. Yeah, clearly in the basement. She had like all the chemicals. Yeah. Why did she do that? And then this might be the worst last line of any of these movies I've ever seen. The last line of this movie, everybody's sitting in the, in the old guys living room, all comfy and cozy. And an off screen voice says, is that a rat? And they all jump on the couch. I go, and that's the end of the movie. That's true. That is your end of the movie. That's true. That is the, that a rat fantastic. Fantastic. This movie is one. Yeah. I do want to touch on something that the dad says early in this movie when he goes to leave for the airport. He leaves early and his son says, you're leaving early and he says, you know what I always say about airport travel.

Three hours early is always two, it's always two hours, two lakes. My brain's been broken since this. So is he, is he leaving five hours early? Five hours is a minimum for us. That's the implication here. Yeah. My dad was like, at least two hours were in three for an international flight. And I always thought that was a little much, but I, I follow that to this day, but five come on. I remember like going on international mission trips as a teenager and us having to get there three hours early because it was a big group. And that was like, and even then I was like, this is stupid. Like I remember being, how many cinnabons can you be in that? That's right. A 17 year old going, yeah, it took us an hour for 20 of us to get through check in and check in bags and stuff. Guess what we still have? Two hours before takeoff. I just, the idea, my brain was broken at five hours being the minimum. Flying out of greenville where like 30, 30 minutes is probably good. Yeah, greenville is a freaking. If they board at 715, you can get there at seven and be five.

And also in greenville, your flight is never leaving on time. So we've got to have that extra time. What a guy, Southern hospital. What's great is like very, very rarely do I ever experience any delays. And the Brahma Fests. You all coming from Brahma Fests. Damn, it's a mess. No, it's so smooth. We didn't, when we fly to GSB. But the day after Brahma Fests, they get the memo. Everybody shut it down. People are trying to leave greenville and not return for a year. Just keep them here. You can't have that. You can't have that. I got the power situation is. Oh, it's wild. So crazy. And I couldn't tell if it was because of the blizzard or if it was a part of the heist. That's how confused I was about the power of the history when the power is on and off in this movie because they use natural light the whole time. But at one point, the lights turn off and then you hear the light switch turn back on. You hear the switch. And then they do it again. Someone's over by the camera. Click. That's right. Oh, man. And is it ever night in this movie?

No. They don't have the budget. Speaking of waiting just off camera, there is a scene where. Whatever the bad guy's name is is sitting on the bed. He's on a phone. And if you look in the corner of the screen, you see this like fabric kind of come into the screen like two times. And you're like, what is that? And then right when he gets off the phone, his girlfriend comes walking onto the screen with this robe that he's holding. Which is she's right off camera and a little. Waiting for her cue. Waiting for her cue. Yeah. So really brutal. An all time white one. Oh, yeah. Oh, buddy. And watch the daily set. I will say this is a, at the end of this movie, they're all together and his mom or dad, one of them says, we're going to spend Christmas together every year. And I just want to speak to those people, especially the younger ones. You're too young to be making a deal like that. You have your whole lives ahead of you.

You have families that you have yet to make. That you are going to have to then convince, hey, I know we want to make our own traditions. But one time there was a high, we were almost burned alive and we made a pact. This has been Christmas together every year. Yeah. Never let the guy who's closest to death establishes a situation. No, guys, can we do this every year? Maybe, maybe for the rest of your life. Or could we put on my life? I also got a kick out of, she does do the gifts. She gives Dustin who hates Christmas a hat. And then she gives this other kid, I don't remember his name. This other kid, two bracelets. And she's like, those are for your brothers who you're always on FaceTime with. That we never see him on FaceTime with. But that's either here nor there. Not just that though. Good. And then she gives that boy a wad of cash. And Dustin's just like, what the heck? Yeah, I got a hat.

Can you imagine, you know, Dustin deserves it. He's a freaking worst. But still, maybe give the other kid a wad of cash in private. Where everybody else can't see and just be like, why did he only get the wad of cash? Or give Justin a break on his rent. right. I mean, she gave her son weed. That's it. She didn't even give her son the want of cash. Yeah. How much of what kind of weed are we talking about? We could be worth more. Yeah. I'm the open market. That's right. Uh, Daniel. Yeah. I understand the highest component of this movie. I understand you've been planning for a year. But what happens is because of a snowstorm, there are 14-agers and one military man in the house that we're not supposed to be there. I don't know. Maybe wait a week to heist. Maybe wait a week. Like, can you imagine having 500% more people involved and you still going through with this heist? Well, it's a blizzard hadn't happened. Would shady boyfriend and the mom actually be on

the way to Borabora? Or is that just a story that likes? So that is like, I now we're giving this movie too much credit for having an actual plot. But in theory, no one gets hurt because the house is empty, right? Right. Right. That would get scary. But at the very least as soon as and then the fact that they decide to go like, we got it. You know what? People are going to be here. We'll just burn them alive. We'll just burn them alive. That's the next best thing to know and get hurt. And absence of military man does not seem to bother them in the slide. No, never think that you're going to keep an eye out. He's going to be get back. No, it's not even mentioned. Speaking of military man, I waited at least half this movie for him to change into civilian clothes. They established the heck out of him being army. Like as soon as he realizes his flight has canceled, he stays in his army outfit for half of this movie. And for the life of me, I don't understand why he did it. In the same way that the snowstorm pales next to the Christmas prince. Yeah. The movie will always have that. The blue always have the more

with a jacket from the Army Navy store. I do. That's true. That's true. He's talking to his ex-wife about how he likes to be early for flights. And she's like, you know, more fly by night or whatever. And she's like, criticize me all you want. I've never missed a flight. And he looked at her and he goes to the straight face. He goes, law of averages. What does that does that mean that you believe that over the course of her next 40 years on this planet, she's going to miss like a dozen flights? Like, what do you mean by that? It's going to catch up to you. I don't. Yeah. That doesn't make any sense. You're going to fly out of Greenville. I'll have you be able to fasten your knock. It's all stacking up. Just you wait. Your boy Dustin is talking to the son of those two. And he, the guy, the son says, you're still a scrooge. And Dustin goes, I've never seen that movie. So that insult doesn't work on me. That one scrooge movie, Dustin, really, really, really, never heard any references to it ever. Do you mean that one scrooge movie that's been made a thousand times and a thousand different?

You know, stop. I would say, I would say him knowing it's a movie is proof enough. He understands the reference. That's right. I don't know. Put your phone on silence. Um, this guy allows his phone to ring until we all want to stab him. I don't know. Just put it on silence. You're any looks like he could be a millennial. All of us have had our phones on silent for a decade. You've not heard a peeb out of us for a decade. Be better. We don't do rings. It would have to be live for death for me to turn my ringer on on my phone. I don't know how to do it. The volume button on the side just controls the volume of videos. I don't know how to turn my ringer on. I'm serious. I'd have to look it up in the settings. Yeah. Are you kidding me right now? Get out of here. I have heard your volume up from videos. That's right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The next one. Maybe it's like the social worker from last week. Where it's a phone only with her. Yeah. Yeah. A phone only.

The neighbors name is Mr. Franklin and he has ESP or some sort of telepathic behaviors because this is what happens in real time. The power goes out. Mr. Franklin walks in with a cooler. That is what happens. It's not like he waits. Even if his next door neighbor is a 50 step walk, generous. We live on our property. Literally, I could my house to your house at its closest is probably 12 feet. But me to walk from my front door to your front door, 25 feet. I think I find the cooler. Yeah. Yeah. That's a whole thing. With that, like this guy, power goes out. He walks in the door of the cooler within one second. One second. He gets the cooler and walks over. I don't know how he does it. Oh man, the power's out. That's right. Literally, he's waiting outside. Did you say power's out? How do you know I was on the cooler, by the way? First of all, way too small for like, own entire fridges, work the stuff. And they're putting all this like fruit juice and stuff in there. And I'm like, could we

accentuate the eggs and the meat and like that? Yeah, please. Yeah. Actually, you know, the power is in going to do it. But don't worry. The next thing the power's back on. The next thing is back off. So it doesn't really. Yeah, well, this is true. Who can decide? Second of all, like you need some kind of ice pack or something in that cooler. It's not going to magic. Yeah. Coolers. You put it in a big, hungry style of it. They should call it a cooler. That's deceiving. It implies that once you put it in there, it will be cooler than if it was not a true. That's true, Brian. Good. That's branding. That's a big cooler. That brand. I'm not too left. Well, you came up with that Jared Leto. You know what? They could have put a bunch of snow in there that'll keep it going. Yeah. That's outside. That's free ice right there. I got two more that are both ginormous. This kid's bedroom has a VHS box of Dr. Do Little taped to the wall. Yeah. That's not I nothing I said was hyperbole. They took the VHS tape. Dr. Do Eddie Murphy, Dr. Do Little took the tape out, have the box and they taped it on the wall as wall decoration.

The kids of physical media, the kids love physical media. Crazy. And then last but not least, this is by far bar none. The latest any henchman has ever put his gas mask on ever in a movie of all time. Guys gang, the gas is in the air. Visible. The gas is visible in their nostrils. The gas mask is up here and then they wait and then they go and hours of time. We've ingested just enough to get a little high. You put that mask on not because I've done this because I've seen enough movies. You put that mask on before you drop the gas bomb out there. What are we doing? Why did they do that? Just put the mask on first. I don't understand. That's all I got. It's time for what the hallmarks where we wonder what could have been maybe have been declared in the country itself. What are we still wondering about? So we're talking about right now. Alonzo. Yeah, we've touched on this already, but I was trying to think like how many

subsequent Christmases do they all get together? And I'm thinking one max max, max one as sort of like a way to make the dad feel better. And they're like, okay, you know what? We're not going to be defined by our trauma. They do want and they realize they didn't actually have fun. Yeah, the first time wasn't good either. There's a difference between having fun and deciding, you want to do that fun again. And then, you know, it's actually just, I was poor on all of us. Let's turn that even when someone isn't trying to murder. It's like, don't want to spend the holidays with you. Yeah, 100%. Mine is Dustin. Who the heck hurt you, Dustin? It is a week until Christmas. And Dustin is like, his parents are getting ready to leave. He's not waiting for them to leave to start on decorating for Christmas. Even Dan would say this is premature. This is the, this is the old. Dustin just let the Christmas decorations hang there for one week. 26. Take it down, buddy.

If you want to do that, that's okay. I'll judge you. I'll record you out my window, but at least you waited till after Christmas. Dustin's over here a week before Christmas, before this guy's family even leaves. And he's like, get the garland down. Take the ornaments off or get rid of this tree. Dustin, what happened, brother? What happened, Dan? Yeah, we get to excuse a lot of trauma that would take place in these Christmas movies for a bunch of a myriad reasons because they're Christmas movies. This woman meets, falls in love with, and then lives with shares a bed with an absolute sociopath for a year, a full year. And it turns out he was there to rob her and burn her alive. The long game. And then the next minute, once they've sorted it, she is fine. And I just want to know, I mean, we did a lot for her, I guess, but

man, oh man, we've got to get her to distribute. God, we got to get her to some therapy. Pronto. Oh, it's crazy. Crazy. Crazy move. Well, we did everybody. Congratulations to us. We're back next week with another one of these to come on back for that and tell them, maybe the first of which you are Mary Christmas. Mary Christmas. That's fine. That's good.
