Hollywood 365 with Kelly Alexander. Brought to you by Sparano Realty Remax. When you're ready to move, Sebastian Sparano is ready to work. Call 514-993-3011.
That is the one the only Kelly Alexander who's joining us with another edition of Hollywood 365. I get a lot of heat from it, from my nieces who are younger.
I just full fledged Swifty. I'm far from full or fledged. It's not, you know, I grew up with like the angsty, like Torie Miss,
Yona Apple, the gut-wrenching stuff. But, you know, that's just my darkness. But big news for Taylor.
Yeah, yeah. So she was at the I Heart Radio Music Awards the other night and it was a great night for Swifties because not only did Taylor show up, she also brought her fiance and she also walked away with seven awards that night, including for artist of the year.
And she made sure to thank all of her fans, which I think is important. And then she also thanked Travis for helping her feel confident, happy and free every single day of her life.
Confident, happy and free. Yeah. And so that was big night for her. It was very cutesy. And then on top of it, I wanted to give a shout out to Alex Warren. He is someone that we support very much down the hall on Virgin Radio.
And he's had an epic, like I would say 18 months to two years. And so he walked away with a bunch of awards also, including for breakthrough artists of the year and best new pop artist.
And he's just a lovely human. I was able to interview him just as things were on the come up. And he's just super amazing. And then I wanted to bring back because you and I talked about this last week.
Massive shout out to Envogue, TLC, and Salt and Peppa. They performed. And then on top of it, they announced early this week that they're heading out on tour.
A close estate to September 2nd in Toronto. I'm going to try to go.
I mean, if that's going to be a show, yeah, that is like our 90s youth.
Yeah, just explosion. Instant Toronto. Yeah. Well, that's the closest day to us. I wish they'd come in a Montreal. I need to talk to somebody.
You need to call your people.
Yeah. Okay. You need to fix that because that is going to be an amazing show. Yeah. And they would for sure sell out here if they came here immediately.
And I would shake what my mama gave me to that show. Okay. Some baby news now.
Yeah. So I showed it to Twilight's Taylor Lautner. He and his wife. And I love this. You probably know this. They're both named Taylor.
Yes. So they're Taylor squares. Yeah. So they're Taylor's Lautner. Yeah. And so she goes by Tay though on her Instagram account.
But it was really cool how they announced the news. So they put obviously the ultrasound picture. And then she was in full baby bump mode.
But then they said, what's better than two tailors? And so a baby is on the way. We don't know when. But I would think within the next like three to four months or so.
And they're unwell if they name this child. Imagine. I'm just putting that out there. Can you imagine? But anyways, they're super cute.
I love how he really mostly keeps his private life private. But you know, for a big event like this, he's sharing the news. So it's cute.
It's taking a privacy and speaking of sharing. I mean this story, the Savannah Guthrie interview that she did, of course, reminder her mother is still very much missing.
And she sat down with Hoda. And and and just really it was heartbreaking. It was heartbreaking. And I just wanted to bring it to our attention this morning just because like I have such respect for Savannah Guthrie.
She's an amazing, you know, broadcast journalist and a human. I've only ever heard good things about her before all of this happened.
So yeah, so I think the good news for all of us is that she will be coming back to the today show. And she and she was so, you know, honest and forthcoming with the news.
She said, you know, the today show is my second family and my greater family at large. And she's like, I'm not sure if I can do this. But she's like, I need to try to do this.
Yeah. And she said, my joy will be my protest, which I think is just a phenomenal outlook to try to have. Because yes, as you mentioned, her mom is still missing. So she's coming back on the 6th of April.
And I think everybody should be rooting for her. And I'm listening to all of these sort of armchair detectives putting on all these horrible theories that the family and this and that. And I just it's disgusting. And I will say something.
And it's completely different. But I was on television working on a morning show when my mom suddenly passed away. And I remember thinking, you know, because a big part of what we do is you got to be on the air. You got to be happy. You got to be on. And I remember thinking to myself, I can't do it.
And that was a completely different situation. And I did it and it gets you through. And I'm just, I put myself in our shoes. And I think I don't know this poor woman. Yeah.
And as you said, only good things people who know are lovers. So looking forward to that return. This is an interesting way because this is will they or won't they? Are they together or not together? And I'm not talking about Harry or Megan. I'm talking about Harry, Megan and Netflix. Are they divorced or not?
Yeah, well, it's so crazy because like less than a month ago, we heard news that Netflix was distancing itself from them. But now that they've kind of clarified that they've distanced themselves from her brand.
Forever. Yeah, they don't want the jam. Did you watch that show, by the way?
I can't. I tried. I got through 12 minutes.
I thought you were to say 12 episodes. No, 12 minutes. And I was like, I cannot. I can't do it. It was awful.
I don't want to love her, but I can't. The show is driving me bananas. But some people hate watch it, which I don't know what that says about us is a society.
I just, she's not, not everybody's meant to host. Not everybody's not everybody's meant to not be fake on air. Yeah. So that, yeah.
So anyways, so what's happening is now, and it's just funny to me, they're going to have, so there's, they're apparently Netflix has agreed to have this like drama about polo with Prince Harry and Megan behind it.
Archwell foundation or whatever is going to be behind this. And do you remember that they did the docu series like in in 2024 he put out a polo docu series.
It didn't do that. Well, I also tried to watch it because I do like Prince Harry. I think I got through two episodes and it was too formulaic. It didn't matter.
The riveting world of polo. Yeah, well, I think it's cool. I like learning, right? So I was like, I don't really know much about polo. I want a couple. Is it a map game?
I think it's a match. Yeah. It's fun. They ask you to stomp the field. Oh, that's cool. I didn't know that. Yeah.
But anyway, so it didn't do great on the ratings, but they've somehow decided to make a drama out of this. So it'll be a fictional show. It's going to be set in Florida.
And yeah, that's supposed to happen. We don't have a date yet, but again, they're behind it. And we'll see how this goes. So it's supposed to be about two families who have like each a team, like a polo team.
And then the drama, the drama that arises because of it.
So they don't want the jams, but they want the polo.
I'm okay. We should try a jam. I don't know. Do you need it? You do it. And you let me know.
Okay. Let's tie the Ryan Gauss thing because I'm just wondering. So he's making his way to daytime television.
I love this. So first of all, I'm a massive daytime fan, as I think people should be. And they don't get enough credit daytime actors. They do like six shows in a week.
They're crazy. The amount of dialogue. So I love this. So he actually put out, he was on a podcast. And he happened to mention that his inspiration for acting was Deirdre Hall from Days of Our Lives.
And he said, you know, it's not Robert De Niro. It's not that he was like, Oh, gee, Deirdre Hall. She was my rock star.
Yeah. And so her character on the show. So word got back, of course, to her. Apparently she played it in the makeup room.
Yeah. The audio for the, the, the, the cast of crew. They were over the moon. So she actually put a video to him and said, we love to have you come and visit us in our neck of the woods. And he's accepted via another video. And it's so cute. Like he's so into it.
You can tell it's authentic. I cannot wait for Ryan Gaussling to be in Salem. And he's my favorite of the two Canadian Ryan's.
Oh, isn't you? Yeah. I don't. Reynolds isn't do it for me. Gaussling all the way. And by the way, you did mention Deirdre Hall who played Marlena. And if you don't know how good her acting was.
At some point in days of our lives, her character are for an entire season was that she was not possessed by she was the devil. Yeah. Yeah.
Convincingly. Yeah. Yeah. She's great. That a lot of these actors. I honestly, I have such respect for them. I've interviewed a bunch of them on on my YouTube channel. So yeah.
Anyway, speaking of your YouTube channel, you do have one. It's fantastic. You can follow along on all of this. It's Kelly, Alexander, two X's all of it together on Instagram. And of course, she's down the hall of virgin radio.
Yeah. And she she comes here every Saturday. Love that. Kelly, thank you so much for taking the time. Have a great day.
