my electrician I found on Angie.com to bury my pet hamster? I was so moved by how carefully he
buried my electrical wires I knew I could trust him to bury my sweet nibbles after his untimely end.
This is very strange. Angie, the one you trust to find the ones you trust. Find

San Francisco Bay Coffee. She'll be helping us out and her daughter Katie's going to come into.
Hi, Smute. Smutes. That's cute. And far less creepy. You weren't here for last week. So you
must be itching. I am itching. And I know that you and I had I had read that porno one that
that Maddie read that Maddie read. I had I'd read it. It came in like it's the week before. And I was
like, Oh, that's a good one. I'm not the least bit sensitive about it. But I was definitely
feeling like, okay, on air. I don't know what we can say. But I was I was surprised that there's
still people out there that feel they need to compete with that. Yeah. That's not a competition.
And I'm not surprised at all. If anything, it feels more like you should be grateful that I'm not
hitting you up every time I have that itch because I have it most days. Yeah, most of the time.
So this is like I'm doing if anything, it's you should feel like it's a compliment to what's
a pressure release? It's a it's a way of you having to do less. I mean, yeah, I'm looking for
that. So yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like you don't, you know, I'll at well, we don't need to
get into it. We did already. But I'm excited for the next installment of bad advice. Yes,
tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. with our special guest advisors. You can call her text us 800-400-3697
and email us anytime. This is a totally separate email from the bad advice 97-38gmail.com. This
one is just general business. GB. What abs? Yep. Sarah and Vinny at Odyssey.com. Odyssey.com.
Sarah with an HVNI with an IE. Odyssey is a made-up word spelled A-U-D-A-C-Y.
And oh, I mentioned San Francisco Bay coffee because I'm coming in tomorrow.
I'm going to start with a couple things on TV tonight.
On my TV on a watch and survivor. I'm very excited. I love survivor. Are you also caught up,
uh, Maddie? No. I like to play the role of the listener who don't do that. Go back and watch.
It's so good. I'm caught up. I'll watch. Okay. It's a really good season. Okay. There have been
seasons. In fact, the last season, I just didn't want to. That's not the case right now. I just
was very annoyed by last season. I don't think it was well played. I was losing interest. And
that's the show's fault. Not mine. Right. I love the show. So you're doing something wrong if you
can't hold my my attention. Right. And they've got it this time for sure. Um, I've I'm with you.
I thought that the the it was bad. It's only good if the play if they've cast it right. You know,
and they, I mean, they have a certain amount of control of that. But they can't necessarily
predict how these people are going to or not pull it off. Um, so tonight, we'll watch survivor.
There are a couple things. Um, this is just funny because we've been talking so much about
dating shows because of the bachelor at the scenario, which I think I have, I've got some stories
about that. But I think I threw them into my eat the headlines because like I just am done talking
about that. I've never watched this show. The bachelor or the bachelor at I don't know what secret
lives these Mormon wives have. I don't know what I thought it was the whole, uh, swinging me too.
But they then, you know, Bob, Bob said like, that's not the show. And I went, all right. I don't
know. Is it just like the drama or is it one of those shows where they create like fake drama and
have fights happen? No, that's why it's so good because those shows are annoying. You know,
when you start to feel how produced it is. And yes, they do have definitely have moments and settings
where you can feel that they're like, oh, they told these two characters. They need to talk about
this thing. But they're all friends and they all know each other and their community is so interconnected.
Like one girl was dating one of the other girls ex-husbands. Oh boy. And then dumped him and started
dating his brother. It's so fun. That's the secret lives. I don't, I didn't name the show.
Oh, yeah. Well, I don't know. I'm just trying to, I mean, that's, that's the cover.
Well, it isn't what you'd expect from Mormon wives. It seems like they just pump out the kids.
Right. And that's what's really great about it is they were all raised Mormon. And they're all
really young. One of them is like 24 and has two kids already. It's, it's crazy. But they're all
kind of learning like, hey, the way we were raised in this community is not very fair to women.
And so you slowly watch them grow out of it and learn how to become independent and they're all
their own voice to it's actually kind of gorgeous. Yeah. I like how did all these people
are her in nature. Every one of them is like, I actually think Frankie Polly Taylor Smith or whatever
name is is like the least good looking out of all of them. Anyway, there's another dating show.
You love it. Clearly people love the dating shows. Love overboard. It, it sounds really funny
actually. I mean, it's just another dumb formula. Let me just ask you a quick question because as we
have talked about dating on this show a million times, whether it's bad advice or the old secret
show or just stories about dating apps, it seems interesting that there are dating. The review of
the dating apps and dating life in general is very negative, almost hateful. Yeah. That's the
general rule. I think that's why people are trying to get on these dating shows because at least,
you know, you're, it's an immersion program. You're in with these people. And you have long enough
to make a connection where you didn't just get dumped after, you know, you didn't get swept left
on. That is the answer. Because the question is, why would there be such a negative vibe about
dating in this modern times? And yet dating shows seem to be running 20 years plus. I know. And
there are so many different iterations of them. All these different little things announcing a
new one right now. What does it call love overboard? What the? Here's how it works. It's a reality
dating show. 16 sexy symbol singles or symbols board a luxury yacht. So this is women,
men, men and women, co ed, okay. Yeah. Once they get on board, they find out that four couples
are going to live it up. And the other four couples are going to work on the boat. They're going to
be the staff. And they've paired them up in advance or they they have to, this is like one of those,
what is that? The music thing where you got to grab a seat. Yeah. I mean, is it? It sounds like
they're all single. So they're they've they've some what they've selected for women and for men
to to be the people, the rich people who get waited on the yacht and they've selected for women
and for men to have to be below decks. And they got screwed. Here's the deal. The four couples
are living it up up on the top deck. And the rest of them working as crew are trying to break up
one of the couples. So I guess maybe they do get assigned to people. So now now this girl's trying
to like hit on this guy. So that he leaves her and doesn't. And now she gets to come up. And then
the other person has to walk the plank. Because of course, they have to walk the plank, right?
So the ship is just docked. I have no idea. I don't know. You do have an idea. They're not going to
make you walk the plank in the middle of the ocean. That's why they're going to pick them up there.
And they're not just going to actually leave them there. I mean. Oh my god. We're at
a giant rescue nightmare. Okay. Yeah. Walking the plank. So it is kind of funny.
But it's also just another dumb dating show. It's on Hulu. And it starts it starts tonight.
There's also a new show on Netflix, which I have been they've been, you know, buying ads on
web pages. That's for sure. I keep seeing this. It's called. It's a limited series on Netflix.
And it's called something very bad is going to happen. A psychological thriller
where a couple decided to get married at his family's eerie cabin in the woods. Like,
well, I could possibly go wrong. I it's by the only reason I'm mentioning this one. And I did
put the trailers for both these two new shows up on the Sarah and Vinnie Facebook page. This
one, something very bad is going to happen is produced by the Deffer brothers. Oh,
so that's the guys behind Stranger Things. And so maybe there's something to that. I do like
their work or I have so far. So there you go. Couple of things that are on TV.
Okay. Let's get to Bob's boyfriend. Shia LaDouche. I don't I don't want to be associated
with him as my boyfriend. Well, then what what should I call you? Love him. She grew up with him.
And he was lot less problematic when he was 10, right? Yeah. I loved him.
I who knows what he's turned into? I can't tell if he has serious mental health issues and
needs to be medicated or if he's just a raging alcoholic and all this behavior at the bottom of
it all. Well, it can be both. I'm hoping there's a solution to this problem. He does. He's done
some decent movies. Yeah. He's sad to see someone sad to destroy like this dude. He's a guy
who could have it all. And he and he can't. He's angry. There's something going on with this guy.
Like it's terrible. Here's your head on. Shia LaBuff, new drama in the big easy scene shirtless
after bar fight. Is he still in Nollins? So he went wherever he went with his dad and then came
back to New Orleans. Yes. So he got into a physical altercation. This happened. It looks like it
happened outside of the bar. But then he's now he's shirtless. I guess he broke a sweat.
So we don't want to get a shirt all sweaty. So he comes back into the bar and or maybe he wanted to
show off his really cool tattoo of it looks like maybe Einstein, but with boobs. I can't tell what
he got a really weird. This is from the stories you've told me through the years. He got a very
strange tattoo for a movie he made. And then it turned out the tattoo was real. And it's part of some
old like a movie in the last I'd say eight or 10 years. He got that tattoo and it was part of
something. It's hard to tell because the face is half covered by the chest. No, it's on his back.
Okay, I'm gonna look at this. It's oh my gosh. Oh, no, your San Francisco made coffee quick
rescue it. Did you lose any? I lost a little. Oh, no. Okay. So it's a it's a very large back full
like scaled to his back. It looks like the lady from weapons. Let me see that. It does kind of
look like her because it has like kind of crazy hair. Like at first I thought, oh, is that it
looks like as a tie on? I'm like, is that Albert Einstein? I'm like, well, I guess if he has boobs
it could be. It's a very odd tattoo. And it's enormous. It's his whole back. Are you looking at
Simza? It's on there. I'm trying to find it. He's got a lot of weird tattoos. There's a go to the TMZ
story. A shy lobof new drum in the big easy. And it's it's right there at the very top. You can see
it on his back as a shirt off. So he gets in some kind of altercation outside the bar. I guess
maybe leave to have the fight. And then he comes back in. Now he's back in the bar.
And it's a Le Balton roulet in the big easy. That's I don't know if people know all the names of
the bars there. The photo was snapped just before midnight on Monday night. And the folks who were
there said that Shia took his shirt off during the salt location that happened outside the bar.
Some guys showed up in it. This is what happened. And he was mad about it.
Some guys showed up in a golf cart and ended up in a fight with Shia because they were upset
about something he did in the bar. I assume. So there's another story. And I'm sorry if I didn't
put that on the sheet today. There's a tennis club across the street from him. And they're all
at this bar. No, no, no, where he lives. He lives across the street from a tennis club. Does he
live in New Orleans? He lives in New Orleans. So I don't know if it's in the city proper. But they
put out a notice to all their members to be careful because he sits in front. He sits out in
front of his house and yells at people when they're coming in and just is just angry and yelling.
And he should move threatening if he is because he doesn't like the sound is the pickle ball too
loud. They do say that that can be very loud in a neighborhood. Just move. Just you've got to move.
People like pickle ball. It's going to you can't stop pickle ball. What I was talking about is he got
a full from neck to belly button. Uh huh. Tattoo for his role in the tax collector.
And it's this. That's his chest. You see that? It's like a woman. She's holding, but she's holding
some creepy like clown head monster thing. Yeah. And that's he got that put on him permanently.
That's forever for his role in the tax collector. Well, he's not known for his great choice.
I don't know the back tattoo. I haven't seen that. But this is the one I was. It's very, isn't it
weird though? It is. It looks like that. Uh, what's their name? She just won the Academy Award.
Looks like that. The lady from weapons. Yeah. Oh, Amy Madigan. Yeah. Um, so these guys show up in
a golf cart. I don't know if that has anything to do with the tennis club, but it very well could.
Maybe they have golf carts at the tennis club. I have no idea why they would, but maybe
gets into some kind of fight with Shia because they're upset about something that he did,
which might be yelling at them to stop playing pickleball. When the fight was over,
Shia goes back inside the bar and calls someone to come pick him up who eventually took him home.
He's not this is like his hometown. This is his bar. They say he's no stranger there.
He's a regular and normally nothing but polite according to the staff. The cops were not called,
which might be good news for Shia. Um, do you think people just know he's he's volatile and and
pokey? That's exactly what I was thinking. These guys might have been looking for
and looking to pick on him. Yeah. Not defending him in any way, although I wish I could. He's kind of
indefensible. Well, some people are easy. I mean, it doesn't take a lot. It seems like to get him
to bait him. No, it's there are certain people that it's like a it's like Alex Baldwin,
Alex Baldwin. Yeah, people know. I can go viral if I can get this guy to yell at you or punch me.
I'll take a hit for that. I'm dying to go viral. Oh.
So anyway, that's what it's gone on. It's Shia. Some kind of golf cart altercation. Oh, Shia,
Shia, Shia, Shia. I know. You know, stories like this come in batches, though. Like someone
keeps their head down for a while and they kind of trying to get their stuff together. And all of
it because last Friday he was a crying. Remember, there was a whole story with him and the cops and
and yelling at the woman in Italy and running into the hotel lobby in his underwear looking for a
match. There's always I actually saw a story this morning and I just skipped by it. But do you
have the FKA twig story as well? No. With regard to child above. He'd said something about having
hurt her. I don't know if he meant physically or mentally or both, but they were a couple at
one point. And then there was this settlement. And now she's in the news saying the NDA that she
was forced to sign for whatever he paid her out. I don't know. It was just a headline. Interesting.
But she's now apparently fighting whatever they'd settled on. And I don't know if that's
because she wants more money. I don't know what it is. But her attorney says this case is about
justice and law, not money. Okay. So he should go to jail. Is that what they're after? I wonder
what he wanted. They want the NDA. They want parts of it. They want her to be able to talk about
what happened to her. Okay. All right. I'm surprised even has that much money. Can someone look up
his network? He did in Indiana Jones. He's made some big movies. Yeah. But he also doesn't
work that consistently. And I'm sure he's supporting at least his dad if not other family members.
Right. I'll say he's worth. I got it. $18 million. Oh, I'm going to say $45 million. I'll say
nine. Sarah with a win. $20 million. Well, most of us could make that go to the end of the world.
I've got more than you'd ever need. But you know, when you're a big star, you got build.
Okay. I want to squeeze this Savannah got three story. And there's a two part interview
that's airing on the today show. Obviously, their east coast of the park one has aired. It's just
they get right to it. They get that she gets asked the hard questions. She's overcome with
emotion in the in the interview. She's a hoda talking to her. Hoda copy sits down with Savannah
got three who is apparently at some point here going to be coming back to work on the today show.
And she said, you're going to get the interview. So they sat down together to talk about this.
She's very emotional. She's apologizing to her mother and her family. Because she says she first
learned that something was wrong when her sister called to say that their mom had gone missing.
Nancy got three is the mom. I think she's 83 84. Yeah. She says her brother a former
military intelligence officer immediately feared the worst telling her he believed that their mother
was kidnapped for ransom. Savannah says she was in disbelief and then a devastating thought hit her.
She said she recalls. I said, do you think because of me? And he said, I'm sorry, sweetie, but yeah,
maybe I told you this when this story first broke that you would hate yourself. And she does
kind of attention to your family in a situation where all you're trying to do is your job.
Right. She's not trying to. I mean, what? The criminals of the world. She's taunting them by
having a mom that's still alive. Right. I know. Kind of crap is that, but you would.
She stresses that the family has no answers. Savannah says the idea that her public profile could
have made her mother a target is impossible to bear. She says it's too much to bear to think that
I brought this to her bedside that it's because of me. She goes on to apologize directly to her mom
or entire family. If it is me, I'm so sorry. Uh, January 30th. She'd been gone since January 31st.
What a horrible thing to have pursued your career and to feel responsible for something
bad coming on. When in reality, being successful shouldn't have anything to do with. You're not
by being successful. You're not asking for it. Right. It's like saying that anyone who works in
TV is, you know, or rate or anywhere like what? Yes. It's awful. But of course you'd feel horrible.
Yeah. Uh, and I'll end with this. Okay. This morning, I watched the first Harry Potter trailer
with the new cast for the show on HBO. And it looks great. No. It looks great. No. Yes. And it's coming
a lot sooner than we originally thought. It's, uh, by Christmas, it looks like we're going to have it.
This year? This year. Oh, I know. It's so bizarre, though. Like it feels like AI looking at the
pictures and the trailer. So there's a full length trailer now. And it shows a live shows all
different. It's there's Dumbledore. There's Hagrid. There's all the, you know, the three kids
run in Hermione. The trailer's cute. It looks really good. It does look good. And it's
huge. Grant is, is, is, uh, the big guy Hagrid. Hagrid is not Hagrid. Oh, he looks like
his frost. Oh, it's Nick Frost. Okay. I was like, I didn't see Hugh Grant in this. We had a very
his, his, uh, his voice sounded a lot like him. Oh, uh, well, that guy has lost some weight.
Nick Frost. He's, but, but he's playing Hagrid. So I'm sure he was like, not gonna need again.
This is great. Are they just retelling the same story? It sounds like they are because they're
going to do it. Um, I guess he's in at a time. And I, I believe they're going, there, there's
the meeting on the train. There he is, pushing his cart through, you know, running a,
a, a, this one's called the philosopher stone. That's what the original book. That was the
original book. Yeah. So in America, we called it the sorcerer stone, because I, I guess
that those two things have different meanings. And they need to jazz it up for the Americans.
I guess so. You know, there's a remake, uh, uh, uh, coming from Moana. And I have a thing
about that. Did you see the outfit that, uh, the rock has to wear? No, that wig. Well, I saw
yes, I saw the still photo. And I was like, he's too old to play him a like, he's all wrinkled
up with a big head of hair. It doesn't look, doesn't look right. And, and the, the body suit that
they've got him in, is that what he's in? I guess it's a body suit. Maybe it's AI, but, or, um, CG,
but he's, yeah, they bulked him up. You know, that dude, I don't know that guy's name. I don't know
all the characters names in that in Moana. I've never seen it. Maui? Maui, it was that his name
Maui. So I've seen Johnson. Who are you? Yeah, Matt. Dwayne Johnson is playing Maui. And, and he's
big. Oh, yeah. Yes. But I, I thought they picked Dwayne Johnson because he's, he wouldn't need a suit.
Um, no, he, they put him in a suit. He did the voice of Maui. Is that okay? So they're great in
the cartoon. And I don't know why they're making this to like looking at it. I went, oh, it's not
going to do any good. It'll be perfect. It might be great. Maybe they could see G his face into
youth. They know stuff. I'm sure back to the Harry Potter thing just really quickly. The trailer's
up at the ceremony. Facebook page. If you're looking for it, Benny, what's coming up in the news?
Will you watch that? Yeah. The Harry Potter. Absolutely. Oh, I'm not going to wait for it. No, thank you.
All right. Pancakes, engagements, and more after these.

close to burnt toast. And her post is I don't waste food. This is borderline though.
If you are making toast, whether it's for a sandwich or for eggs, whatever. Yeah. And you burn it.
Yeah. Do you still eat that toast? Well, usually I do. But I scrape it
off in the sink. I just take a the flood of a butter knife and just scrape off all the burnt
stuff. But if I've blackened it and they're smoked pouring out of the toaster, no, I just say,
well, that's on me. As I've wasted food my life over. Let's just say the last 10 years. I've
certainly probably someone from the outside would say, guy buys too many surfboards. You can barely
play guitar. And he has too many of those. And my response would be that's not wasted money.
I love those things. Those things break. They're also not starving from surfboards in China.
Right. Anything. You know, that's just one thing to waste food is another thing to waste surfboards.
That is the thing. The wasted food over the last is through the pandemic. All the times I went
and collected as much as I could get in case we can't get back out and then watching it go bad
or not getting to it is one of the that is what Americans. I shouldn't point my finger at you.
You may never waste food. I do. I definitely do waste food at my house and we don't mean to them.
We're getting better and making a point of it. But there are things where I just go,
man, I see it. But I can't believe it. It went bad right on us while we were sitting here.
Yeah. Like you ever go for you're like, oh, I'm gonna have to look. We've got celery. I'm
going to have some celery and I pick it up and it just like, you know, droop so for it.
Celery is one very good. How many weeks ago do we buy this? Oh, it looks like March of 2005.
Anyway, I just was triggered by Gossia. Good on her that she's eating burnt toast instead of saying,
I'm only going to get one breakfast today. I don't want to keep burnt toast.
I like that post. I think that's really funny. Like, I don't want I don't waste food with this
close. Okay. So we begin here in our news with quick weather. If you liked yesterday,
you're going to like today. I did like yesterday. The giants home opener last night was a bust.
Seven nothing. The Yankees beat us. It was on Netflix. It was weird, but it was still
baseball. And I watched and one of the best things to have on in the background whenever you're
doing anything is a ballgame. Like, you can glance over here. The crowd noise. You go, what
happened? And then of course, they'll do a replay right there and the vibe and the energy is
well paced. There's no. It's cool. I like it. So I'm glad baseball's back sports to fall asleep too.
And it's most definitely the thing that is it's summer. If the I feel it like now that baseball's
back, you get the boys of sun. It's on. We've had warm weather. The time the clock has changed.
I know it's like so late already. It's like, oh, boy. Oh, and also while we're at it,
March madness is back again today. Oh, that's not over yet. No, no, no, we got to the sweet 16.
Okay. And now they'll have another four days where they lower it down to, I believe, the final
four. Oh, okay. Yeah, the elite eight and then the final four. So we'll, we'll know more about
our grids. Yeah, our brackets. It starts again today. Okay. This was a question I wanted to ask you
before we move on into the news because I saw someone say with each update for chat GPT, it has
gotten worse, not better. And I thought, well, I know Sarah uses it, you know, quite a bit.
Have you noticed any? I feel like it gets better. It's smarter and quicker.
Good. Yeah, I don't, but I don't, I'm not like, you know, judging it, I just use it and don't. I,
I do tend to check the things that gives me very carefully because it has had just blatantly wrong
things like when I used to use it, she just write a quiz and I'd be on the air going, oh, that's,
I just know that's wrong. Oops. I don't have to look it up. Yeah, that's like a known thing.
I feel like it's gotten really, really smart. It's so, I actually have a story about
an AI documentary that's coming out this weekend in theaters, apparently. Probably one of those
limited release things, but it was, I was reading it. It's just, you know, it's a lot. It's coming
and it's getting smarter. And I think therefore I am. Every now and then I'll see, because you see
all the stories as we get ready for our show and I see the stories that are it's coming for our
jobs and then the other stories, which I give me hope are this is a tool for humans to use to make
life easier and better. Everybody's freaking out. It's not, but we've already seen job loss. So
that's not lonely. It's real. Yeah, it's happening. Yikes. So I don't know, I, I hope it does
mellow out and find its place in our world. Yeah, that's how things usually go. Well, there's a book
I read and it's the Dan Brown books. Oh, right. The book is called Origins. And in that book,
there's a tech tycoon who is one of the characters. And as he's predicting what the future will look
like he goes full cyborg. He's like humans and technology will marry. And that's the next stage
of our evolution. If like, there's another race coming and it's not human. That is a good book.
Actually, it has some excellent twists. I actually think Dan Brown is a fun read. I think he's
actually, if you look at and at the beginning of the books, it says, all of this is real and all
of this has been researched. I stand behind everything that you're about to read. That's pretty
impressive because some of it is like deep research. He must have done to get that. And that book
is got to be 10 years old now. Yeah. And it's and we're seeing incredibly predicted. There were
things in that book that I'm like, you know, the whole bone induction, bone conduction headphones.
That was I was like, oh, that's kind of crazy. And then the next thing you know, I've got those
metaglasses or whatever they're in there. And that's the technology that they use it. It's pretty
it can be very intense. Maybe I'll go back and read that again because I did I enjoyed that book.
It's a very good book. I actually, I believe he's a great writer. He's no Stephen King, but that's
Stephen King is always going to be in my heart. Well, I just like to read things that are fun.
You know, like I don't want to read heavy stuff and or stuff that's going to bum me out. And
I really have enjoyed Dan Brown's books. And but not like I've enjoyed Stephen King.

This is a question for you also. I know you try to put your phone down when you leave work,
right? Yeah, yeah. And do you find yourself twitching for it?
I don't. I put it on the charger. And if I need to get an email or check text or something,
I just flip my laptop open. Oh, okay. I see. Do you think, Maddie? Do you think that you could
put your phone down Saturday morning and not pick it up again until Sunday morning?
I mean, I know you physically can, but would you be like, I really need my phone? There's a lot
in there. I can't. No, I don't want to. No, I could. You could. Yeah, I don't have that
many interactions. What about like Instagram and stuff? I mean, don't you go on there and
look at TikTok? I do, but I could put it down for two days. I mean, yeah. What about you, Bob?
Why would I want to do that? To see if you could. Yeah.
I didn't use it that much at Burning Man. Let's because you were all baked on LSD.
You could see. It's close to one eye to see one image. I know I can go without it. You do.
But you wouldn't want to. No, I don't need to. I don't feel addicted to my phone.
Okay. In a new poll, 76% of American adults say they sometimes watch not one, but two screens at once.
Oh, and half of us, half of Americans are admitting they couldn't go more than a day without their
phone. Well, there are things that I am doing on the phone that I can't do anywhere else.
Well, they say the two screens is you could be looking at your phone while watching a movie or
watching YouTube on a laptop with a TV show on in the background. I can't. I won't have that.
Oh, I do that all the time. I do that sometimes too, but I'm not the TV is background. There's no
like I'm not trying to watch the show and I wouldn't. Yeah, there might be a TV on in the room,
but it's definitely like if I'm watching a show, I'm watching a show and I feel like because I'm
super distractible, I turn all my notifications off and close everything up and put it to the side
just so that otherwise, I'm not going to give it my full attention and I'll miss something like
Young Joffrey will step out the window or whatever's name was the youngest kid and it'll be silent
and I'll miss it because I didn't. I wasn't watching Game of Thrones. It wasn't Joffrey.
Joffrey was the meat evil king. It was the younger brother.
Tor to tomen tomen. It was tomen. Tom. Tom. Tom. Tom. Tom. It closed something very close to that.
Right. People are screaming at the radios. How could you be?
We're all talking about Game of Thrones the day after that episode happens and it was like,
oh, yeah, like, oh my god, it was such a crazy moment. He was, what are you guys talking about?
We're like, what do you mean? What are we talking about when the kid stepped out of the window
and pitched himself to death? And he's like, what?
When did that happen? We're like, oh, it didn't make any noise. So you were just looking at your
computer. I was, well, some, I mean, we do have to prep and sometimes there's TV and I admit,
I do that sometimes trying to, what is it?
You were watching some Australian surf content and you know it.
About me true to 12% of adults, US adults, these are Americans. 12% say I always have two screens at once.
Always. That's it. That's no way to live. A third say often.
And another third say sometimes. It's a thing and I have walked in with my kids where my
daughter will have something on the TV, but she's playing Roblox and I will make her choose.
Yeah, one of the other. Pick. Those are eating energy.
Well, and also she's destroying her attention span entirely before it ever even had a chance to grow.
I know that's scary. Your kids have been smart phones around the whole time.
The whole their whole lives. 64% of adults say they spend at least five hours a day looking at
screens. I spend four here. This giant screen in front of me. Definitely spend a lot of time
looking at screens. But I would say also, and that's part of the reason I make such a point to
get outside is because I sit on my stuff for the four hours we're here. Yep.
And when we first started broadcasting half the time I was running the streets.
You know what I mean? Like you do go do bits. You be out. It'd be a little bit more adventure.
And that has slowly become a problem. Like we can't be out. You can't do that.
The phones don't work. Whatever. And now I'm very sedentary.
I know so much more than I used to be. But I, you know, I also want to be outside. I like to get
the sun on me. And I feel like I have pursuits that have nothing to do with any technology.
Like the just gardening alone. I feel like that is good for me mentally and physically.
And it's, I mean, it's not surfing or anything. I'm not getting the workout.
No, but I mentioned that last the week when you were out that you garden and you're into it.
And it's your, I understand the, it's the same reason I loved painting the stain on the wall.
It might like it's your home. Yep. You fix something. You find yourself looking at it.
Proud of yourself. Like look at what I did. I did that. We can do hard things.
This is, you know, cool. Like you have some and then you check it off your little list and go,
I did what's next? I did good things for my life today. Yeah.
It as opposed to the damage and nonsense that we're up to other parts of the time.
Right. We're just sitting on our butts, looking at screens.
What is the longest amount of time you think you could comfortably go without your cell phone
for personal use? 8% said an hour or less. 26% said a few hours. A few hours is the highest
percentage comfortably. Like I don't, I don't want to go without it. I like it.
So you're uncomfortable. But I don't think it's a problem. You don't think in any way,
shape or form that you sound like an addict. No, I understand that I am addicted.
I always say I just like drinking. I just don't have a problem.
It's always thirsty. I hear what you're saying. I can't quit, but I don't want to.
I don't want to. Acceptance is the first step. Yes, I am addicted to my phone. But my life is fine.
It doesn't. I don't find that when I'm on my phone, I start to feel sad. I start to feel depressed.
You know, some people, they're scrolling and their feeds are negative. And it tears them down.
I will tell you, I've absolutely seen people who worry me with their phone use. I don't see you
in that way at all. But I know you seem to be able to pay attention. Like you're very, very
recently. I saw someone where I was like, that's worrying me. Like the way that person is in
their phone. And I also think that you will see, as you become a parent, your kids will go,
mom's always in her phone. Yeah. And that happens to my wife. She's working. She worked like,
she would like to not work, but we need the money in order to be able to pay for the things
that are necessary to keep our lives where they are. So she has to work and she's in her phone
most days. Right. And the kids, that's their rap on her. Mom can't not look at her phone.
It's kind of a bummer if you're a mom, right? It's a total bummer. It's a bad review. You would
feel guilty. Did you tell that story one time about a talent show or something and some of the kids
did a skit where they impersonated their mom and she was on her phone all the time? Absolutely.
And it blew. Yes. It blew my mind. I knew the mom was in the audience too. And that was just
it had that's rough. It's the kids, a teenager, young teenager doing a skit. And she's doing
her mom and she won't look away from her phone. Don't worry. Her mom was busy looking at her phone.
Right. She didn't even know what happened. Our text number is eight hundred four hundred three six nine seven
baddies on the show. Ninety five. My wife and I went to the movies for the first time in
several years to see Project Hail Mary last weekend. And she was very worried about watching the
entire movie without her phone. Oh, I hope it went well. And I hope there weren't your experience
wasn't ruined by other people being around. I had to pee in the middle of the movie. I was super
bummed. Oh, that is the worst. There's actually an out for that. Yeah. Go go pee. One pee.
I went during the karaoke thing. Okay. That's the choice. Don't say any more. I won't.
Vincenzo hasn't seen it. I'm going this weekend. Oh, are you taking Ila?
I don't think so, but I know Christina wants to go. But weirdly, my weekend is already filled up.
This is very strapped to come back into the city on Saturday. And then I guess Sunday at some
point, I'll go see him. I'll do my homework. I'm excited. I love this. This book is so good.
You're going to be very psyched by how the treatment of the movie. It's great. Hearing that from
you makes me very happy. I hope you're not lying. I am not lying. Okay. For our way, we were talking
about wasting food. I wasted food until I learned about an 80 HD refrigerator hack condiments and
go in the produce drawers and veggies and fruit in the door. So I'll see it. Oh my god. That's
kind of. I could not live that way. I always this happens at my house. This is what I'm trying to
say as I'm emitting that we waste food. And I don't say that with glee. But I will go through that
produce drawer and there is stuff just turning the liquid. Yeah. So gross. It's only I like two
weeks has passed, I guess. Maybe longer. Right. Yeah, especially by organic. Our kids don't live with
us anymore. Well, one of them lives out back. But we don't feed him. But it's been great. Since
they've been gone, our fridge is clean. There's always room in it. Like John goes to kill. We
live close to a supermarket. So he's like, here's what I'm making for dinner. He goes and buys
the things he needs and that's and then that's it. Like it's it's actually been great. But then
there's never anything good in there to find. Like you can't root around to the fridge and see if
you can find something good. That thing. Right. Whatever it is. Whatever it might be. Oh my god. There's
have a cookie in here. Oh, whatever. Right. Looks around. Nobody's names on it.
