You're listening to the Dana N. Parks podcast on K M B Z. That storm over the weekend. Hello. You all right, Independence. You see Santa Caligon days and the tents and there were booths that lost, quote, 100% of their product to that storm vendors. They had warned it was like a slight chance, but then, you know, like if it does happen, it could be powerful and mighty and quick. That is exactly what we got. We were sitting on the front porch and it started to rain a little bit. Well, it was already windy. And then the storm like blew the rain right into our face. I mean, it's stung and you were, of course, outgolping. Were yes. Yes. How did that go down? Well, right as we could see the cloud shelf, the wall, and they hadn't blared the horns yet, but I understand nature and electricity enough to be dangerous. And I was with my son and I said, we're done.

We are done. And by the time we had announced we're done, horns were sounded and we drove in through some of the rain, but, you know, we ended up hearing lightning when we got in that shook the earth. 34,000 without power. The earth. No, it's not 34,000 still, but it was a high. All the way down to 5,000 by Monday morning, they worked very quickly. I was close enough to the Shawnee Mission football field that I could hear the Shawnee Mission South football field that I could hear their announcement, clearing everybody out of the state out. And it was blue skies and I'm like, what do you mean there's lightning in the area? I'm sure enough. It was a weird weekend yesterday morning. Uh, you know, we're kind of city adjacent here. I would not call this, uh, wouldsy where we are per se outside of Antioch Park and then further west Shawnee Mission Park. Yeah, sure. And I missed this, but Johnny was out on a walk with Bertie and they were round in the corner to come back to the house. And he saw an eight point buck.

Did he get his gun casually, not even jump over the fence, but casually just maneuver just over the fence, went into our front yard, turned around and just stared kind of like in a horror movie where the deer are staring at you and you feel like like the end of days is near and then just stroll right into our backyard. I don't know what happened to it. I understand bucks travel alone. And maybe they are in, is it mating season or rutting season? I don't know what it is or why he was there. I don't think they're mating. It's too warm, I think, for mating season. That's usually like late fall winter. Yeah, rutting season doesn't happen until midnight. I was like, are you sure he came in because you're not going to believe what up we just saw. Did you see it? No, by the time we ran out to go get another look, it was, he had moved on. And now when you were concerned, did you say, Oh, dear, I did say I'm say, Oh, dear. Get out. Sorry, Toby does the jokes. Also, what exactly does it points me because I didn't like, is that what,

that's the number of like, okay. Why didn't you ask Johnny because I, he's like, it was an eight point, maybe ten point. I don't and I thought, is that the, what you get when you shoot them? Oh, my God. That's legitimately what I thought. No, it is the number of points on the rack. It's a game and you get points like four and four. I don't know. I don't go around shooting animals and I do understand we need to call the deer. I'm not saying that, but it's not my thing. So if it had two points, it would be a two point deer. Yeah. Anyway, this was a big and right in our front yard. Okay. What was Bernie going to do? It just went wild. I said, yeah, good luck with that. Yeah. This story from the New York Post, one of the heroes who jumped into duct tape and unruly airline passenger has been identified as a New Jersey gun range owner who gave the nut bag of blunt wake up call during the racist and homophobic debacle Richard O'Lennac, 53, I was traveling aboard American

Airlines flight 618 from Dallas to Newark on Thursday night when Arthur Lundin went on his violent meltdown said, O'Lennac, I don't love to fly. And he just looks at me and goes, we're all going to die. This plane is going to crash. And I said, you're going to meet a couple of new friends when we land. O'Lennac was traveling with one of his employees, a retired cop, as they headed back from a gun expo in Reno. Man, please. Yeah. I have so many things to say about this. First of all, when you are in a safe place, not driving. If you don't go to my Dana Wright K and BZ page to look at the photo, I need you to find the photo of them duct taping this man who, by the way, has a first name lane with a Y middle name Arthur, last name, Lundin. And I bring that up because Lane Arthur, Lundin, went on his Kuku Kachu rant, tried to choke the passengers seated next to him.

And then bit the retired off duty police officer gun range guy. So follow me here all while seated in first class. Do we know what Lane does for a living? He was a Tucson real estate agent and the vice president of a real estate agency. He has been relieved of those duties. Well, I'm sure he could still sell houses. He's just no longer. They don't want anything to do with them anymore. They don't want him being the face of their realty. Yeah. Got it. I need to just we have to talk about this story. I don't know why I am obsessed with what went down here. Part of it's the photo. If you haven't seen it, he is duct taped head chest arms to his seat, like picture something out of a cartoon where it's like a roll and a half of duct tape is now gone and he is not moving.

Okay. He did not need the seat belt when the plane came down for landing. Where is all this duct tape on a flight? They keep them on planes now for this specific reason. Is that true? Yes. I've read more about this that I'm obsessed with this story. He looks exactly like mayhem in the auto insurance commercials. I know because I may him and I cause mayhem. He looks exactly like the actor in a mayhem commercial. But while they're filming a mayhem commercial because he's duct tape to a chair, that's number one. Number two, the guy that did the duct taping former law enforcement officer is Billy Bob Thornton. He looks exactly like him. If he's not seen the photo, it looks like Billy Bob Thornton is in a mayhem commercial and he's duct tape this guy to his chair. Let me ask you a question. You can ask me anything. Okay. This didn't happen when we were younger. No, it did not. People losing their ever loving mind on airplanes.

I believe it was like a 5,400 percent increase once COVID came around. I believe that is correct. Yeah. Numbers have come down since COVID, but it's still about a thousand incidents per year. So is this he's crazy had too much to drink ingested something maybe he is before he got on the plane. 67 years old. I don't know. I'm doing this stuff. I mean, he wouldn't be a successful real estate agent if he was walking around being a racist sober. If, if I may, I would like during the break to find the interview with either the guy who was seated right next to him who was almost choked to death. This lane former real estate guy first class had his hands around the passengers neck, right? Just seated right next to him. He goes for the guy's neck. Then when off duty officer says I knew because he was there with another off duty officer coming back from a gun conference. He said we didn't even think twice. We knew we had to jump up.

Sure. Get in between them. Help that guy. While they're trying to subdue this guy, he's bitten lane bit the cop trying to duct tape him down. I do love the loose mummification that they did with him with this duct tape. I mean, it is all the way up and down his door. You call that loose? Okay. You know what I mean? It brings me to my third point. It's not moving. It brings me to my third point. These are federal charges. I don't know that we're going to have the courtesy of seeing the mug shot. However, here's what I do know. Lane boarded that flight with eyebrows. Yeah. And then when they took him off that flight, the eyebrows were left behind on the duct tape. Yeah. So if you can just picture the guy that looks just like mayhem in a mayhem ad, and then you can see the guy who was in the sand's eyebrows. Well, that's what his mug shot is going to look because the FBI when they boarded that plane, they're not going to rip it off. Like when you were a child and your mom was like, I'm going to help you with that bandaid.

I have a feeling that duct tape came off slowly and deliberately as did his brows. Well, so did his hair then because they did not care where the duct tape went. It is wrapped around his head. And mummification is a great word, Sam. He looks like he's been mummified in a scene out of Scooby-Doo. Right. When did this start? You know, Scott, Mid-Melt, Meltdown. He can't be not intelligent. He knows everyone has a cell phone. He is screaming the worst language you can imagine. What were the, keep it clean, the racist things that he said? It was racist and, and I believe homophobic, toward the staff, toward the flight attendants. Flight attendants. First, then came the choking, then came the biting. That's my understanding.

Racial screaming, then choking, then biting. He has to know everyone has a cell phone. Sure. Everybody does. Well, there's nothing he can say today that you'd be like, okay, that makes sense. So my house. It's going on, yeah, an I sell Tucson guy. You know he's on billboards. Why? That's a great question. And again, I go back to what I said a minute ago. This didn't happen when we were younger. And I don't know if everybody's getting their loopy loop on before they get on the plane, whether mental health issues are just that much worse, I have no idea. I think it's a combination of things. I think some blame has to be given to the airlines, not for this particular guy and his behavior, but for the overarching theme because we are treated like cattle. We, everything has a charge. You can't do X. You can't do Y. But I think most of the blame has to go on the American people and the fact that we

just feel such entitlement now that you're not going to tell me I can't do something. Well, let me ask you this, did these things go on before and we just never heard about it because now everybody has a phone, they can take your picture. I think we went from DB Cooper. Then decades of just nothing happening, two were right in the middle of this insanity. Have either of you been on a flight where somebody acted before? No, but I am always ready. I have actually been on two flights where people were acting a fool and neither of them were in the United States and neither of them were American. I got the lucky European crazies when I was flying to Bulgaria and back. Really? By the way, it was a 492% increase in 2021. The FAA received 6,000 reports. Is that because everybody was being asked to wear a mask? I think so. Yeah, you have to, I hit to say this, you have to go past the COVID year and not that I'm excusing it. No, of course. But it still boils down to about a thousand.

So what was it in 2022, 2023? I'll get those numbers for you, but it says here that alcohol consumption has played a major role, cramped quarters and declining amenity quality, carry on bag friction, meaning well, but he was setting in first class. My bag is there. Operational delays, poor communication and just a broader shift in social and behavioral control. I don't understand it. 913-586-7798-586-7798. Here on Dan and Parks. Okay, we just watched the video. You can find it at what TMZ.com. Okay. You can't play it for obvious reasons. He says a number of words that are illegal. He is drunk. Listen to this though, the discussion that preceded the meltdown, he was seated next to a

rabbi. Okay, because they've interviewed this rabbi. And witnesses say his discussion with rabbi con CAHN, you can, he's part of the story now. He has 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube. He's seated out friendly and Lundeen enjoyed one alcoholic beverage. On the plane day. Yeah, he was pre-gaming. The daily mail was first to report the story by interviewing the rabbi who said Lundeen grabbed him by the throat, hit him and broke his laptop over their religious chat. The rabbi told the mail that within a split second during a two hour conversation. Oh, no. Lundeen turned quote into a demon and started cursing at him and God. Started shouting, it's all BS. Jesus is BS. Obviously he didn't say BS. Yeah. Okay.

And the rabbi would care about that because why? He's Jewish. Yeah. I, there's a 48 minute YouTube video of the rabbi breaking down what happened. Yeah, because the best place to get into a religious discussion is nowhere. Right. I was just going to say nowhere. But if you are a rabbi and someone is asking you questions, they got into a, I only say got into it. They had a conversation about religion. And at one point, Kuku Kuchu apparently said, I am a Christian or I was, but I feel very judged after my divorce and the rabbi replied. Like almost counseling him, I think, talking about his own experiences with God. And then like that, he said he jumped up whispered, I think this whole thing is BS into his ear and then all hell broke loose pun intended.

It is, there's a solid chance that this rabbi was just hanging out on the plane, minding his own business and drunken McReal Estate guy over here was like, let's start talking about Jesus because you're obviously not a believer. I'm just assuming I don't know. Who starts conversations with people they don't know on a plane? I have never done that. Oh, I've had conversations that lasted the entire plane ride all the way out into the, the tarmac. Oh, you're the one. I've, I've continued a conversation to the baggage claim area and been like, hey, with a great talking with you, I'm going to go now. Really? Oh, yeah. He raved for a maniac for a good 10 minutes, making everyone around them aware trouble was brewing. The discussion started out friendly. He had one alcoholic beverage during that discussion, okay? And then he grabbed the rabbi. Do you think that's all the alcohol he had in the system? Probably not, but, but Scott, even if, let's say you have two or three drinks at the

airport bar and, or at the sky club, and then you go on this plane and you have one drink. Being intoxicated or even buzzed does not automatically turn you into a raging racist misogynistic, violent lunatic. And what does? He was already that way. That's my point. You don't just have a perfectly normal life in career and you never have these thoughts. And then all of a sudden you get on an airplane and somehow I've had a few drinks. Now I'm going to start dropping the worst words in the English language. No, I think to some extent alcohol is a truth serum. Like that is who you really are without the guardrails up. And so no, no, no. I think that that was just the fuel to his already racist engine, if you will. What I'm saying is, I mean, even if, all right, let's say he did have five drinks at

the airport, sky club, and then one on the plane that still doesn't make you that intoxicated that you're going to say these horrible, horrible things and look and engage your rabbi in a two hour conversation about God. And then jump up and tell the rabbi that Jesus is BS. By the way, the text line is like, why is a rabbi in first class? I know. He's an author. He's not just a rabbi. Again, he has 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube. Yeah. It does very well for himself. You had asked about the number Scott 2017, 544 unruly passenger reports. 544. 899 the following year. Hey, we're going up 1161, 109 in 2021. We had 5,973 unruly passenger. And that's people being told to mask up and then no, I'm not masking up. So go to the next year. 2022, we had 2500. Oh, we're going down, but still too high.

Halfway, more than halfway. Yep. 2023 2000. We dropped another 500. Good. Went back up in 24, back up to 2100. Election year. I don't know what's, oh, okay. And then 2025 1600 so far this year, we're sitting at just over 1100 unruly passenger reports. How come I never get to see one? I don't know. Statistically, it's still relative. I mean, because of all of the flights that there are every single day, but when I said I'm always ready for it, I'm not kidding you. When we are seated on a plane, I will look around and think, okay, where's the crazy McCrazy? Like, it would be just, I just, I just want to be ready. I don't know. I think sometimes I sell to son. Yeah, you know he's on a bill was you know he was on a billboard somewhere. Um, he'll never work again. We don't need to be 67. Well, what, where do, where does someone like that go from here?

Um, you're now a meme. He's literally me. That photo of him duct tape. I mean, just plead no contest. Move out of town and retire. I mean, maybe he could sell in like, Waco. Okay, you want him selling your house? No. It could be that he was taking some other stuff like Xanax or something. I'm trying to figure out how one drink and he's screaming Jesus is BS. But he in one fell swoop was violent. First of all, the assault in the battery. But you are never, ever going to be in any industry where your clients are women, your clients are black or your clients are Jewish. You left out gay or gay. Sorry. So, so he could take out a billboard literally that says if you're a straight white guy, that secretly is a closeted racist misogynist and all like, bigot, I'll sell your house.

I mean, he's done. He's done. Somebody on the text line says, I've been saying this for years. We need to stop serving alcohol on planes. This is not indicative of a problem of alcohol being served on planes. He had one drink on the plane. Yeah. What we need to figure out is what was he doing before he got on the plane? And it's no secret. I'm not giving away an industry secret here. When you walk onto a plane, there's always a flight attendant there to say, hello, how are you doing? They're not there because they care how you're doing. They're there to gauge your behavior. Do you look like you've had too much to drink? Are you acting a little off? That's why they're there. And that's the only reason they're there. I can go to Florida. Somebody says he'll fit in just fine. What don't say that? I would like to think no one would hire someone like that. I know that that's also from the problem. They're not accurate. You think the real estate market sucks for us. It really sucks for him now. 913-586-77998-586-7798.

Here on Dan M. Parks. So if you listen to the show with any regularity, I'm a huge Wheel of Fortune fan. Our announcer Jim Forton was fired last week after he was spotted on a plane. Sam, can you describe the chat form that he was in? Yeah, so this is, it goes way back to these chat pages have been around since the dawn of the internet. There's no fancy formatting or anything that's literally just username, colon, whatever they said. This particular chat forum happened to be one for people who were, I'm going to use the term suffering from pedophilic thoughts and wanted some support allegedly. In getting over those thoughts, however, the messages that were displayed on the screen and the screenshots or the pictures that we got from the other passenger, they were

joking about the thoughts that they had and couldn't believe that we're doing this type of chat room on a plane. I was thinking about, I'm not even going to go in with the bus. So Jim Thorne, who's the guy that says, and please welcome the stars of our show, blah, blah, blah. He was on Fridays and last night's show. Wow. Mm-hmm. They've scrubbed him from his alma mater's website because apparently two years ago, he gave or last year, he gave the commencement address and was also like the grand Marshall of some parade. We talk about things you're not going to come back from. Sony has fired him. As they should. I don't know where someone goes from there. I mentioned this on Friday. Does somebody get a warrant to look at his home phone and computers and all of that stuff? Because I don't believe you accidentally stumble on a website like that for 57 minutes.

And then Google, did you read this? Once the flight attendant came over and said, we're going to need you to close your laptop. He then Googled on his cell phone and the witness has a screen shot of that. He essentially Googled, can I be tracked on an airplane looking up content? How would somebody know who I was? Was what he Googled after the flight attendant said, we're going to need you to close your laptop. How did they know that the lady who had photographed him earlier, take a photo of that as well? Yes, because I think Scott, she was seated not. So he's in the aisle on the right hand side of the plane. He's in the aisle. She's in the aisle on the left hand side of the plane. She's behind him one day. And just behind him one rose. I think you've been on a plane. You can see if someone's watching a movie. I have watched an entire movie without audio before because the person across from me and one row up in the aisle is watching a movie.

Which also says to me, A, he's an idiot or so narcissistic. He just didn't think he would be caught while wearing a wheel of fortune jacket. No, he joked about not being caught in one of the threads that you could say. One of the messages. Can you clean it up and read that line? It was to the tune of, I can't believe we're doing, I'm doing this on a plane in 30,000 feet up or something like that. Somebody else responded and was like, well, are you going to get caught? And he was like, no, they don't know what's going on. It's just a bunch of random text on a screen. Well, people can read, bro, allegedly. Do you think that the story would be different today if it were actually, like maybe he was suffering from pedophilic thoughts. Maybe he was seeking assistance on some chat room for him. Well, you don't do that when you're on a plane. It's obvious that this particular chat room was not to seek assistance. They just wanted to share their, they were sharing nasty thoughts illegal. Do you think if it were actually like, I have pedophilic thoughts, calm, please help

slash, please help me. It would be a different story to know. No, I don't know. I don't. Okay. Again, he was wearing a wheel of fortune jacket and he is representing the show. He's a recognizable person. He's wearing the jacket. A wheel of fortune and Sony are going to say you were representing the show in public. And because of that, you have to go. Number of people are saying last night was a rerun. Well, they're all technically rerun. You would still think they would have scrubbed it. These are all recorded well in advance. But even if it was not a rerun, Friday, I think was a new episode and it was, or he was not scrubbed out of it. The last thing I will say is if you have not seen the photo, the wheel of fortune logo is on the bicep area of the jacket. I keep bringing up the jacket because you would have to be so narcissistic. Want to be recognized that you're wearing that.

But then at the same time, you are going to one of the most vile, illegal, vulgar content websites we can imagine would prefer not to, right? Now wearing your boss's merchandise, he's never coming back from this. He doesn't need to. He makes somewhere between a half a million and a million dollars a year. He's up there in age. He doesn't need the job, you know, sell your LA home and move to the Midwest and live another country. We don't need you here. But I'm captivated by this idea that you have Dana. And I'm not being critical of it, that he needs to have his laptop confiscated and looked through. I don't know what he did on that plane. Well, on ethical, immoral, wrong, I'm not sure that he broke law and I can't believe

I'm defending it. Let me ask you this. We know that just viewing those images is illegal. Just viewing them is illegal, right? And so if that was a website where there were words being typed, so the words, you might be able to say not illegal, but was it not also a website where there were files or photos being shown? I believe that if you, you know, not right there on the screen, but... I'm not going to the website to find out. No, I'm not either. But at that point, Scott, just being on that website, are you not committing a crime? So yes, if there are files actually being shared by others and you're not going... For losing. And you're not going, oh my God, I need to get off this website for 57 minutes because it's a mistake. That would be receiving child porn. I don't understand why that is not probable cause enough to look through his stuff. And I would suggest to you that it is not...

I think it would be extremely likely they would find something there. I don't think you accidentally end up on a website like that and it's disgusting and I don't want us to say about it. You know what? I still feel the need to say alleged in this story. Yeah. I don't know why. Can we also discuss the lawyer's response? He probably actually had suicide in his family. He probably actually supports people going to suicide hotlines, chat rooms, whatever. The lawyer saying he has suicide in his family and he was trying to go to the 988 life line website and accidentally ended up on this site is abhorrent. Yeah, because it's not believable. Why would you say that? You're using 50 some odd minutes. What are we doing? You are reaching for straws trying to find... She was trying to put out a fire. Yeah, trying to find anything and everything that might might get you to find the first day.

It was, oh, this is a mix up. It was the next day that the passenger said, okay, you want to play that game? Here's the timestamps. He was there 57 minutes. Tell me again about your accidental, I'm supposed to be on a suicide helpline. But how did this stay under wraps for what? Six months? Six months, yeah, it was early March. It's gone. I don't know. I mean, how did this just get out unless, and I said this on on Friday, she was shopping these images around to the National Enquirer, you know, Globe magazine, whatever. And nobody was biting because Jim Thornton's just the voice guy on Wheel of Fortune. I think... Scott, I don't know. I'd be hard pressed to believe that the wheel nor Sony didn't know about this. I already used double negatives. I think they knew about it in March. Tell me, says, who has jurisdiction in the air, the federal government? It was the FBI that did the FBI question him or look into it, or was it local authorities that met him after the plane? It was local authorities. Local police, yeah. 913-586-779-8586-779-8 here on Dana and Parks.

Kansas City Sports Fans are about to hear a familiar voice three times in four days. General Wilson, who we've had on the program before, a Navy veteran who has performed the National Anthem in several sporting events, will perform it at three. Kansas City sporting events this week alone. Oh, wow. You have to be at Friday's current match, Saturday's sporting match, and then he's doing Monday night football. We have to see if we could get him on the program on Monday. When he sings America the Beautiful, I weep. God bless America. You've heard his God bless my... What a talent. Our vegans sexier than the rest of us. The answer apparently is absolutely according to the scientific journal recent progress in nutrition.

Sam, I'm covered in cover-bib. Yeah. Anything to grow vegan, I'm there. Team of researchers found that plant-based diets are good for more than just losing weight and increasing long-term health. As... Let me finish the sentence. Comment. As has been repeatedly suggested and that gobbling up your garden can actually boost one's personal curb appeal. Go ahead Sam, period. Okay, believe it ever you want to believe. That's all I got. That's fine. Something tells me that study was probably funded by vegans of America or something. How do you know if somebody's a vegan? Don't worry, they'll tell you. Stop it. They will... Well, you can smell them coming too. I think that you... Sam, you all. That is not true. Yes, it is. No, it is not. How many vegans do you have? I'm the most granola person on this program. I... Yes, I know vegans. Like, on the top of my head, six...

The number six, I probably know six vegans. I don't know any vegans. Certainly vegetarians. I know people who went vegan for like two or three years and could not figure out why they could never get healthy and then started eating meat again and miraculously felt better. It's crazy. That's why I say believe it you want to believe. It shouldn't be for anyone. Stop it. I have some good news for you that I put in my stack. Now, it does involve a trip out west for you. But there is a museum... Is there a beach? No, yes. I'm not going. There is a museum opening here in about a week and a half. Where are my Star Wars people? Right here. Uh... Mmm. George Lucas is opening a Star Wars museum. The outside of it looks like a spaceship, unlike anything you've ever seen. It is the coolest looking... Not a spaceship you see in Star Wars. Architectural Marvel. It is millions and millions and millions and millions of dollars.

And inside, Scott, it is all of the memorabilia. That's awesome. It's all... Anything you can imagine, Star Wars, it is there. Where is it? September 22nd. Pretty sure it's LA. Nope. So you would have to go to Los Angeles. Nope. I will never step foot in the city of Los Angeles as long as I want to. Oh, you would love it. No. The people watching California is a beautiful place. A beautiful place. But place. All the traffic... Oh, I thought San Francisco was bad. More than 16 years after first proposing a cultural institution dedicated to visual storytelling, film maker George Lucas and his wife will open their long awaited museum in LA September 22nd. Oh, by the way, it has cost him around $1 billion of his own money to build. B, $1 billion. That's pretty impressive. It's pretty impressive. It's his private collection of all kinds of memorabilia you will find inside.

You know, and there was a time when people didn't think that was going to be a hit. Harrison Ford was convinced it wasn't going to be a hit. And look at it now. One of the most successful franchises in movie history.
