Live from the Fox Sports Radio studio, again, Steve Covino, Rich Davis, Danny G, Iowa Sam, Dan Byer, and guess what? My home's just thought I'm by this hour. Super pumped about that. Can't wait. Now, hey, Game Day could add up. Yeah, that's where your Sam's Club membership comes in, man. Get Game Day ready with members, only prices, exclusive offers, and great finds. Plus, more ways to shop and more membership value, too.
More Game Day, more value. That's the Sam Club Ultimate Tailgate. Oh, thanks, Sam. Thanks, Sam. You're welcome. Sam's Club. No, you're fantastic, Sam, right? Sam, the fantastic Sam. Fantastic Sam's Club. Sam's Club. All right. Thank you guys. Super pumped, not only Fuzball today. I mean, tomorrow. What day is it? Okay, Shanahan. Aaron Judge Tonight, Batten Third. And they asked him, I think Michael K asked him at a press conference. Aaron Boone asked Aaron Boone. You know, does he have any sort of rib pain? And the answer was asymptomatic. So he has no restrictions at all. And just so that was an odd response, it's gone kind of viral. He's asymptomatic. That is such a game changer, by the way, for me. What are we back in COVID? Yeah, he said the baddest answer. He's asymptomatic. Doesn't feel any restrictions either way. So it's no symptoms. So whatever pain he had is gone. That's great for you. I mean, talk about, you know, there's 162 long-ass games. There's 18 left, I believe.
And as of now, I wish my bets are still in the mix, but my goal is always to have football. Have baseball bring me to football. The Met's going to do that this year. So I had a few months where I was like, man, I wish football would get here. But your Yankees keep you interested. And as of right now, they're four games behind the raise, but they still play the raise a bunch of times. Well, the raise have a tougher schedule coming up. The Yankees got, they got your Met's this weekend, which will be at Colorado tonight. So there are schedules kind of weak right now. Some games they must win. We'll see what happens. We'll keep you posted. But with Aaron Judge in the line, if that's like, I mean, you got what you needed at the right time. Call the judge, bro. Call me. Maybe later on, if we have time, like hero moments, those mighty mouse moments, those here I come to save the day. Don't you start over promising now. We already have rich today. Yeah, true, true. Because we still got a schedule. By the way, the raise and the yanks play four times a double header and then two games and then Yankees end at home against the Orioles.
So the Yankees have it home stretched to end the season. And I mean, what more could you ask for? Right. You play the team you're for behind and you play them four more times. And they have a tougher schedule. And you got judge and I don't know if you knew this, but here's a little side nugget. That's the one shaped like a boot that I don't want. You could have that nugget sweet nugget. Yeah. Trent Grisham's on the I L, which means that Spencer Jones has to remain in the lineup and that's secretly what all the fans wanted anyway. Anyway, so that's added added power in the lineup. Well, I just want to throw it out there. There's such a monstrous difference between where the Yankees or raise will end up. One will be the one C Danny with a buy and the path to the World Series will go through Tampa or New York. The loser has to play in the wild card likely against the socks. That's if the socks don't catch a Yankees also certainly what their games back. So there's so much excitement in the final couple of weeks.
It's got the socks in the Guardians, right? Yeah. And then in the NL, the Phillies Cubs diamond backs. You know, there's a there's a case to be made. I'm not saying this is the pot raise or a half a game behind the diamond backs. So the pod raise or a half a game out. Let me tell you a PCA. He's got it locked in the NL, right? As far as MVP, you would think at this point. He's even making people mad running at the running into people on the base path. Aaron judge by his lack of presence has proven that he is the MVP. Oh, God, there's without him. The team crumbles by him. Not be there. He's proved it even more. God gross. It's true. I'm just saying he should probably get it again. Rich, Rich. Now you know how we feel when you talk about the Cardinals. But hey, does that not ring true by his lack of presence? You've seen how valuable the guy is. So congratulations. Aaron judges back. Well, you know, just exciting home stretch. I mean, I hope the meds don't mess you up along the way. I will say I don't we got more football baseball right now. I can finally schedule watch the Saints.
You know what? I keep. Yeah. I'm curious. No, no, no, no. But we have my homes coming in a little bit. I want a schedule watch, but I want to do it with the Kansas City chiefs. Let's go. Rich loves to look at the schedule. Get your watch. Yeah. I feel like you love to promise us the St. Schedule. That was not that was not in our pre show meeting. Tyler Schuchsch said, uh, what's the deal, bro? We let the Saints go away. That'd be fine. Saints. Does anyone care? No, just chiefs. Let's talk chiefs. There was there was news, of course, but officially we get to start from the homes. There has to be a few people on the edge of their seat waiting for you to go over the scene schedule. And let me just I think Brihoo works. Yeah, that's it. Andrew Breeze. That's it. Bri doesn't work here. No, Drew said he has more friends on the Broncos. That is true. He said, damn buyer. Let me, let me get DB's insight before I go over the schedule. Last night, you have the show your flex podcast. I want to flex. I did I say show your flex? I'm just thinking what I want you to do. DB, show me your flex.
I want you to flex. I want you to flex. I want you to flex. DB runs our gate team fantasy league. And I know he's more of a popular name because of Taylor Swift, not the player he wants was. But were you a little surprised? Travis Kelsey dropped pretty far in our draft last night? No. You thought he really think that's a fair like he was. I don't think there's a lot in the tank. Yeah, he was like, I don't think he was a first, I think. But you have been a long time. You have a 10th tight end taken. So I mean, still valuable, but certainly not the Kelsey of all. No, you think there's going to be red zone opportunities for him. But the big plays that you would see between the 20s. I think that those days are a little over 1000 yard nine touchdown season in this guy. Okay. But there is value in the relationship with my homes. So when you're trying to decide that that spot for tight ends, there's just other better ones out there. Kittle even injured is a better option. Yeah, I know I chose Kittle as a homer pick, but also because I know he's him and
party are very familiar. And when he's healthy, he's always a, he's a guy that could get you two tuddies in the game. Anyway, Chiefs schedule watching Chief Rock. Now, this is a very wild division because guys like my brother and Broncos fans out there are like they're looking for the repeat of the division title. They're looking for, you know, Sean Peyton, Bonix. We've only just begun. They think this is the beginning of that team and that quarterback coach combo. Sean Peyton, Bonix outside of that injury in the, you know, in the playoff game, you're talking about a team that could have and should have very well went to the Super Bowl. So do the Broncos pick up where they left off? Do the, I'm not going to say San Diego, the Los Angeles chargers who I think just in Herbert. Very well in MVP candidate. I love Herbert with McDaniel. I think that's a, that's a, the finally Justin Herbert can't have an excuse if he has Harba and McDaniel sort of leading the way. You have for three seasons in a row though. You've been saying no more excuses.
I know. This is it for her. Love Herbert. You love his girlfriend. What are you going to say? It's hot. It's hot girlfriend. Yeah. Whatever she is. Um, could it be the chargers? And then Danny G. I'm not saying it's going to be your Raiders, but could the Raiders make some noise and rip off an upset here or there that disrupts the division? What's the, what if the Raiders go upset one of those teams and it sort of puts the division makes it a little wonky, right? Could happen. Fatals don't say wonky, bro. Sorry. I won't say wonky in front of you anymore. How you say? Yeah, it could be a little wonky or something. So according to Las Vegas, our friends and draft Kings, if you look at the future bets, the Chiefs are favored in 11 of their 17 games. So I'm not sure if that's the exact overrun during Vegas, which I think is more towards like 10 or 10 and a half, but 11 and six looks like where Vegas and people think the Chiefs will land, which is probably good enough for a playoff spot. Hey, maybe even a division title in a very competitive AFC West.
Game by game. Let's do this. All right. Let's do it. The return of my homes Monday night at home against the Broncos. Again, trying to keep their little window open. Yeah, this tough because you know how good the Broncos are. Be careful because show time at homes is sitting in the lobby. Since he is or he might be, I don't know if he's driving in second traffic. Yes, I'm going to do. Yeah. I'm going to be a coward. I'm going to be a coward and say that they split with the Broncos at home. So I'll say this is in Kansas City, the return of my homes. This is a game where he's going to send the message. I'm not done. I'm not done, right? I'll see five catches 60 yards. Like it's going to be a we're not done yet game. I think it's a W. Okay. They play the cults at home in Kansas City. W. Every time the cults come up on another team schedule, you give the other team the W. You haven't given the cults one W. I noticed that. No, Nadeus. Where is that? I don't think you've given. If we go back, I don't think you've given the cults not one win. No, I didn't know about that.
Well, that's because that's because they don't play the car. I don't know about that. No, but right when he said that, you know, maybe tomorrow, suddenly the cults just stink to high. The cults just mean you're winning that game. I was saying, can you send Jonathan Taylor, an edible arrangement on my behalf, I apologize. I mean, we love you, Indy. By the way, tonight Indy andapolis, Lucas Oil, Bruno Mars performing that tonight. So you get a little Bruno Mars concert at the beginning of the season. So yeah, I love you, Indy. Yeah, like a rich moon walking. You know, you're at the dolphins. That's another dub. I think you could see a three and oh star from the chiefs chief rock. I saw some stat. It was a tick-tock. A hussey. So it has to be true. She said something about the dolphins top five players or players aren't even on the team right now. Right? The tie needs the top five. Yeah, I sent you those stats a couple weeks ago. The payroll, the high. Yeah, too. It was on the top of it. Oh my God. At the Raiders, Danny, I know you give it trouble. Cursons upset city here. I know you give them trouble, but I can't give you that, bro.
It isn't that game is in Vegas. Okay. So the chief star enough for no rich Davis schedule watching supposed to be the saints, but we're going over the chiefs. Yeah, Rich also has them winning the buy week. October 11th. Now the chargers this game's in Kansas City. Wow. At home. I mean, you love her, but I do. But I think that's a split ski scenario. So I'll give them the home win. So five and oh, there's five and oh, more moon walking. Really? What a comeback star. No, no, no. Here's right. We had six wins last year. So they're already starting off five and oh, here's where it gets sticky, sticky. Okay. DB and a sea hawks are licking their chops at home the following week. I'll forget it. So you get your first L after all that smack. I thought you had the sea hawks starting the season three and five. This might be one of their dubs. Sea hawks get the dub. So it's five and one now at the Broncos. Five and two. I think a split has this is the slide. All right, five and two. But then good. Good news.
Good news for the for the chiefs because then they play the jets, falcons and cardinals back to back to back. You're eight and two now. You won three in a row. But if you're going to look at the chief schedule, which we love schedule watching, at least I do. Some people like to look weak by week, which is more reasonable and normal. But this is going to be a very hot and cold schedule for the chiefs if things go according to relatively planned, right? Because you go through these pockets where they play bunk teams and then coming off of they play Seattle, they play at Seattle at Denver. They're that's two of the better. That's two of the better teams at home, right? That's losses. Then you play three of the worst teams, three W's and then after you beat up on the cardinals and the jets and then you have to go to Buffalo and play the Rams in LA. That's thanks Thanksgiving night. So now you go for the bills eight and a Thanksgiving night at bills. Eight and three. No, bro, no turkey leg from a home. I'm sorry. I think that Josh Allen, you're going to see him having a trucker trucking eight and three, boom. Boom. And then eight and four, what rich one?
Eight and four. Tadakat. Boom. Tough acting. Ten actin. Eight and four at the bank. So basically you have at the bank losing to all the good team. I think I could be on the son of roll at the Bengals. Well, I love Joeboro. I ain't five. I think eight and five. They played them tough over the years. The only team to beat them in one an AFC championship game right? So eight and five. They do play tough pay the patch, the Patriots, the guys, the Paltry. That's a Monday night game. The Paltry. It's a Monday night. A tough game shows up onto the lights. Okay. That's now they're nine and five, right? They play the Niners. Oh, nine and six. Nine and six. That's a win. A quarter to you. You know, Richard can give the 49ers the game at the chargers. I gave him a W before now. I gave him an L. So nine and seven. Wow. And then they play the Raiders again, 10 and seven. So 10 and seven chiefs are a wild car. 10 and seven. Roll right over my Raiders like nothing. 10 and seven. But you know what, you didn't even give them a. You didn't even give them a possible split. Nine and seven.
The best scenario for you would be like, imagine if he gave split skis to everybody else. I know. Split skis Jones. I'll get the salmon. You get the, you get the full. You want to try some split skis. I'm not giving you split skis with the rate seven for your 2020. According to my projections though, if they are nine and seven, oh, wouldn't it be, wouldn't you be licking your Raiders chops? If it meant you guys could keep them out of the playoffs. Imagine a week, 18 upsets by the Raiders with Mendoza. For an and do you can ruin Casey's party, dude? For an and do that could be fun. So again, six and 11 last year, 10 and seven this year, according to Rich Davis, schedule watch it. And now we don't have time to do the Saints who were on the calendar. Yeah, I will go get to them. We'll get to the Saints against tomorrow. I did dress. I, I drifted Alvin Camar in the fantasy draft last night. I saw it. Only DB dumb move you might say, but I feel like I got him so late that if, if he does somehow play at some point, maybe it's a good one. No.
It might be. I mean, because he was just sitting there. Right? You see that look on DB. So I did. He said I don't want to analyze your 12th-round pick. That's the only thing. Exactly. He was just sitting there with people that I'll be honest. I hardly knew. Sure. I felt sorry for him. But I'm just sitting there. I was like, he's like, I'm still at Lund Camar. I got to pick. They're on a separate pick. There were players that didn't have teams assigned to them in the player panel. So when it gets to that point, you're like, I know Camara. He's got a team assigned to him. Let's roll. I was like, you know, at that point, you just go with the name you recognize. Yeah, I was like, I'll be Camara or like, you know, you know, Darnell Dinkins, that's unsigned, you know? And it's like, I'll go with Elma Camar. All right. Well, you know what, man? I would give a rater, a rater's a chance. But 10 and 7, I'm good with that. What are your thoughts? 877, 99 on box. We're about to hear from my home. So we'll see what my home has to say about it because he's up in a few minutes. We want to play Bet you he's going to tell Rich that he's going to roll over the nine or 10 and seven. We'll see. If you want to play Showtime, my home's trivia.
We'll give away a prize pack are tailgating package, a grilling apron, some kuzis, some kevin on rich gear, a little nerf football. So if you want that, you want to win. It's very simple multiple choice. My home's trivia is next. You could call it 877, 99 on Fox. We'll get a contestant right now. Good luck. Now Rich, football season is here. I'm Immanuel Jocci. I'm Kai Wright and this is Big Lives. Listen to Big Lives on the I Heart Radio app Apple Podcast or wherever you get podcast. Is there an epidemic against literature? More specifically, Black Literature. Our books are being banned, scanned by AI and destroyed. I'm Jack Weiss-Peace Thomas and on this season of the Black Lit Podcast, we're outside asking some of the custodians of our stories, teachers, and our modern day writers why. They don't want a whole bunch of little elevators, smile waxes, and Martin Luther King's on the line. They want to build children who have no empathy. That's really the ultimate goal.
You want books that don't make white kids feel bad. So is the war on literacy and information or our ability to connect? And what people say, no house taxy reading is that how fun they could be and not always associated with education. They could be in a state, they could be entertainment. And that is the beauty of reading. It can be all of those things. And considering this is Black Reading Month, the only real question is, what are you reading next? And to Black Lit from the Black Effect Podcast Network on our iHeart Radio at Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcast. The World Cup is over. But if you caught the soccer bug and aren't sure what to do now, check out our podcast, Big Kick Energy. I'm Cameron Dicker, the kicker from the Los Angeles Chargers, most accurate kicker in NFL history. But I was raised on the soccer pitches of Shanghai. And I'm here with Timmy Tillman, L.A.F.C. star, grew up in the academies of Germany and now under the bright lights of Major League Soccer. So we know a little something about kicking balls.
Maybe you're new to the game? Are you ready to take your passion to the next level? Each week will tackle things like, who's winning the Premier League this year? Playing like a number 10. Do you know what that means? Then we go over to France. Liga. Liga. Liga. Liga. You know what's more, he's better than me. What do you think is harder? Scoring a penalty kick or scoring a field goal? He's an NFL and I'm like, just a big vac guy. I do not know that's pretty. I'm gonna ask each week for a quick chat with your soccer-loving bros about the best sport in the world. Soccer. Just don't tell my coaches I said that. Listen to big kick energy on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen to podcasts. Whoop. Hot and cold, right? That's how the chief schedule looks, man. It's like, bunk games are like three in a row that are tough. Yeah, but if you're at Rich's House, the cold water's hot and hot water's cold.
This backwards. One of my guests in the guest bathroom, there's one faucet. Because we don't use that bathroom. There's only right. There's this. That's the hot's cold. The cold's hot, but no one uses it. Yeah, except for Kavino. I guess it's completely wrong about the whole schedule. Who knows? Cause he's backwards. So I'm Kavino. That is Rich. It's Fox Sports Radio Live from the Fox Sports Radio Studio on a Tuesday that feels like a Monday and Game Day can add up. Rich, that's where your Sam's Club membership comes in. Yeah, get Game Day ready with members only prices, exclusive offers, great finds, plus more ways to shop and more membership value as well. More Game Day, more value. That's the Sam Club Ultimate Tailgate. Thanks Sam. All right, it's time for Showtime Mahomes trivia. Let's go. The mostly lovable Patrick Mahomes. Truth is, I want everybody to love me, not just the refs. It's time for some NFL trivia. I'm here. I'm here. I'm here. Yes. We know you're here. But homes here play Showtime Mahomes trivia.
All right, FSR Security walking our broken mo homes into the main studio talking so much smack me. Hey, big dreamer, bro, you got a big head. Big dreamin' because you're really high in your 49ers. So you know what? You're just really high, bro. Really high. Seven. I gave you 10 and seven in a while. Over your Niners and yeah, your 49ers and your Raiders and everybody else patched the homes here. Yeah. And ACL, LCL, feeling fine. In fact, I'm feeling asymptomatic. Ready to go. I heard spags on Stu Gotts earlier today and he said you look great in practice. Like you would never hurt. Feeling spelt. Feeling good. A symptomatic. Is that what Chuck said about his rip? No, that's what I said about my ACL and LCL. All right, COVID boy. Oh, yeah. So big week. I'm happy to be here with you. Let's meet the contestants 27 time winner Rich Davis right over there. Let's go. This guy and 24 time champion Dan buyer in the house. Hello, baby.
Hey, what up, Dan? Looking to win a CNR tailgate prize pack. Let's go to the studio lines. DB, I'll use you for this. Would you love to travel to beautiful Syracuse, New York or Lando, Florida, Pittsburgh, Kansas, good year Arizona, Sacramento, California or Miami, Florida? I have to go to Rich's alma mater of Syracuse, right? Yeah, that is Mark. Hey, Mark. Hey, Mark. Hey, Mark. How are you doing? What's up, buddy? Mark, are you ready to try to redeem yourself? Mark played a couple weeks ago and he lost and he's been trying ever since to get that prize pack. Mark's the redeem himself. So as Kelsey, so my buddy got plenty of gas in the tank. Here we go. All right, rules for Showtime, my home's NFL trivia. The first contestant with two correct answers is the champion. If there's a tie, we have a tie breaker question. Your name is your answer, but you got to wait until all three possible answers are ready. If there's two wrong ones in a row, we move on to the next question. Are you ready? I'm here. Get it on round one. All right, NFL week, let's go. Which quarterback holds the NFL record for most consecutive games with at least one touchdown
pass? A, Brady, B, Drew Breeze or C, Peyton Manning? Mark. Mark. B, Drew Breeze. Yes. Oh, man. Just like that. I got it. 54 consecutive games. Mark halfway to a prize pack already. We go to round two. All right. Oh, Patrick Mahomes here. Which wide receiver was the first player in NFL history to record 1600 receiving yards and back to back seasons? A, Jerry Rice, B, Calvin Johnson or C, Tyree Kill. Rich. Rich. Mark. Huh? Not Rich got in there first. Honestly, Megatron, Calvin? No. Oh, no. All right, Mark for the steal and the win. Oh, A, Jerry Rice. No, you're both losers. I knew it wasn't Jerry Kill. He had 1,710 yards in 22 and 1,799 in 23. Well, baller. Yeah. Tyree Kill. All right. We go to round three.
Mark, the only one on the board so far. All right. And if the week, Patrick Mahomes here, show boy Mahomes trivia. What was I once quoted saying about mistakes? A, mistakes should find their way out of your system in practice. B, you can't be scared to make a mistake. Or C, I made the mistake of celebrating after I thought Max Krausev was traded out of the AFC West. What was that once quoted saying? Mark got in there. Mark for the win. A, A, no. Bire is next up with a steal. And I was going to help him out. I was going to try to, I'll take B. Yeah. You can't be scared to make a mistake. Miss you again. I don't even want to. Oh, you don't know. It's a bite. There was 0.0. All right. Both on the board. We go to round four. All right. Round four, Patrick Mahomes. If it wasn't for getting injured, I'd have this record. Which 2B has the most career rushing touchdowns in NFL history? Is it A, Cam Newton, B, Josh Allen, or C, Jalen Hertz?
Mark, Mark for the win. Hey, Cam Newton. Yes. Man, I can't go. You got it. Wait a minute. You're self-disagregated. We're going to redeem ourselves. We're not going to be 10 and 7 like this bonehead said. Trust us. Trust us. Mark it. Much better than that. By the way, Cam Newton had 75 rushing TDs. Yeah, Mark, you had the floor. I just want to see real quick. Dean and I were just talking with both Raiders fans. No one ever got screwed by the rest of the bad as the Tucker Rule. The Tucker Rule? That is a screwed by the rest. It's in our night. What's your mission again, Patrick? Screw this weekend. Tucker Rule stays in our night, Marys. All right. Well, we get a prize pack ready and sent out to Syracuse, New York. Mark, you are finally in the win column. Congratulations. Thanks, buddy. All right, guys. Let's go, Chiefs. All right, guys. Have a great football season. I'll pull all your teams loose. Let's be ready for Chiefs. Good luck to you and your opener. All right, guys. Later. Hope your ACL stays intact. Stay healthy, Patrick. Thank you, Patrick. Let's go to DB early for an update. DB, what's going on, man?
I was just going to say, I don't know if we can go to my update. Yeah. But as the Tucker Rule game was happening, I remember pulling the Patriots in those games, not knowing what we would know now. Yes, because at the time, the Patriots, like the underdog, they were the helmet you didn't want out of the quarter machine. It's a great victory. But now, now I look at it and like, guys, kind of wish the Raiders would have won. Yeah. That's a little hindsight. Anyway, there is a lot going on. And I'm actually going to start in tennis because as I've been at this news desk, for most of the afternoon and into the evening on the East Coast, the quarterfinal match in men's singles at the USO, but it's been going on the entire time. We're almost approaching four hours between Alex Michelson and 11 seat in Francis Tiafo. Michelson, who hadn't dropped the set in the US open, took the first two sets. Tiafo was down 5'4 in the third set, came back to win it 7'5, then took the fourth set 6'3, and now they're on serve in the fifth set 4'3 in favor of Michelson, an absolute classic quarterfinal match going on
between two American hopefuls, again, Francis Tiafo and Alex Michelson currently tied up at two sets of peace and Michelson leading in the fifth set 4'3. Now on to other matters. SEC presidents will vote on Thursday and whether to expel LSU from the conference over the use of former NFL players. In court filings, the conference stated that needed to file a TRO to, quote, preserve the conference's ability to govern competition among its members. It was recently a Louisiana court ruling last week, allowed LSU to play former NFL players, which is in direct opposition to SEC rules. The American conference changed their tune. They've now filed an appeal to the FBS oversight committee to overturn the result of Michigan's game against Western Michigan's game against Michigan, claiming the officials didn't follow the proper replay protocol. In the top 25 AP poll for college football, Michigan dropped out despite that win. Oregon actually fell a few spots from two down to six as they edge Boise stayed on Saturday.
LSU moved up three spots after running Clemson. They're up to number eight. The top five is Ohio State Georgia Notre Dame Texas and Indiana. Buckeneers, a quarterback baker, mayfield agreed to terms on a three-year extension worth $165 million. Recently unretired Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald will not fly to Australia with the team today. He will be an active fourth Thursday's game against the 49ers. Patriots running back Travian Henderson has been ruled out of Wednesday season opener in Seattle. With an ankle injury, Bears head coach Ben Johnson said, why receive a Roma Dune say his day today with a foot injury and missed another practice. And we just heard from Patrick Mahomes. He is most likely to play a corner that Andy Reed in Monday's game against the Denver Broncos. He said asymptomatic. He did. Unlikely. Yeah. Yankees slugger Aaron judge returns to the lineup tonight for the first time since fracturing a ribbon late May. He'll bet 30 against the Rockies. No show. Hay O'Connor in the lineup for the Dodgers against the Reds. His Freddie Freeman will be the D.H. And Liv Golf is filed for bankruptcy. And in the process proposed a new structure where the players take over a majority ownership of the tour. But court documents revealed that John Rom is owed more than $7.6 million.
Bracing the Shambot owned more than $5.7 million. Fellows back to you. Thank you. Dan buyer. All right. So the numbers 8799 on Fox. We are Covino and Rich with Danny G and Sam. And of course, Mahomes. Thank you. Showboy Mahomes for stopping by and congrats again to Mark. We play games all the time. We'll have more games tomorrow. We doing less ones standing tomorrow, Danny. Well, no, because it's a Wednesday. I know you're like Shanahan. You have all your days confused. That's right. But we have Mike who runs this take and midweek major with Iowa Sam. Yeah, yeah. And also, don't forget. It's our annual right in all of our answers for the NFL prediction sheet in the studio. Oh, yeah. That DB famously started two decades ago. That's right. Tomorrow's Wednesday. Because today's a Tuesday that feels like a Monday. So hey, speaking of the NFL, everyone's talking NFL talking foods. Well, I raised super pumped about this week. I got to bring up Tom Brady and this random story that surfaced. Brady told sports business journal that a lot of criticisms is just clickbait.
All his criticisms on being a bad announcer. Clickbait from people who just don't understand broadcasting as he heads into year three in the Fox booth. So I got to back him up on that as a radio time. Cool. Radio master broadcasting. At least that's what it says on your business card that you made a kinkos. Yeah, I don't know. Whatever you want to call me. You know, I watch and I listen from that perspective. And I'm highly impressed with guys like Tony Romo and Tom Brady and what they bring. And I think that we as a culture because of social media and what gets traction and what is hot. It just turns into what's the narrative, not necessarily what's the truth, right? And I'd love to hear people's actual criticism on Tom Brady because I honestly agree. I think he struggled in the beginning a little bit, but we saw his work ethic. The same work ethic he put into the NFL into the booth and he got better and better. Well, who be extra distracted because he's sort of all over the place and he's with your raiders and everything.
I don't know where you have to see that. But I don't think Tom Brady slips at all. I think I don't think he would allow himself to slip. So, you know, you mean to tell me that people criticizing him have a better eye and ear for what's going on in Tom Brady. I just think that's a narrative that people roll with and then that becomes the story. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend sort of thing. Like there's no truth behind it. It just becomes the narrative. And that's just what Brady haters because he's easy to hate on. He's handsome. He's good looking. He's great at what he does. And perfect practice makes perfect Tommy. And I think he's done a great job if you want to be real about it. So your thoughts on that. I want to talk about it. And I want to talk about things you suck that because he wasn't great in the beginning. He didn't suck, but he wasn't great. But I think we saw him get better and better every week and every year. And I think we're going to see that even better this year. What are those things that you suck that and then got better at? For me, it was radio. You listen back. You listen back to my early air checks. It's like, I sound like butterhead dude.
This is like no boner or something. I had two voices. Yeah, I think it's like Alison Chains. They're boner. You have access to any of those. I'd like to play one. Yes, of course I do. Air checks is what we call it in the business. I heard my iPhone. You would talk into a song or whatever and you'd keep record of that and do talk radio out of the gate. You worked in radio. You introduced songs or whatever. And they're terrible. And dude, I got criticisms. I was told I sucked. I was told, listen man, we already got a Howard Stern here. Just stick to the business. You know, we don't need all this extra personality. I was told I was dumb. I was told I suck at this. And dude, when I listen back, I did kind of suck. But I believed in it, right? And you get better and better at it. What were those things for you? So I promise you, Tom Brady, if it's his goal, he could be one of the best at this. Because that's who he is. He's a guy that's relentless. A guy that's going to put in that work and get better every year. That's just my thought on it. 877-99 on Fox. What was that for you?
You suck that. It could be cooking. It could be in the bedroom. I don't know. And you got better. Now you're a guru. You're the master. You're the Bruce Lee Roy of whatever it is. I want to know what that is for you. Sam Danny, buyer, Fox Sports Radio Nation. Think about it. And you know what? Just to make it fun. If you got a fun answer or a fun story, maybe Danny, you'll throw a prize in there. All right. 877-99 on Fox. More. Connecticut call 888-789-7777 visit ccpg.org.

More specifically, Black Literature. Our books are being banned, scanned by AI, and destroyed. I'm Jack Weiss-Peace Thomas, and on this season of the Black Lit Podcast, we're outside asking some of the custodians of our stories, teachers,
and our modern day writers why? They don't want a whole bunch of little elevators, smile, waxes, and Martin Luther King's on the ground. They want to build children who have no empathy. That's really the ultimate goal. We want books that don't make white kids feel bad. So is the war on literacy and information, or our ability to connect? Well, people with a know-how sexy reading is that how fun they could be, and not always associated with education. It could be an escape, it could be entertainment. And that is the beauty of reading. It can be all of those things. And considering this is Black Reading Month, the only real question is, what are you reading next? And enjoy a game together all season available at Sam's Club. All right. Thank you, Sam. So to wrap up the Tom Brady talk, he dismissed his criticisms of broadcasting. He told Sports Business Journal that a lot of people, a lot of criticisms are just clickbait. People who don't understand broadcasting as he enters year three. I agree. And you have to be foolish to assume that this dude out the gate, the Stephen Dorf gate is just going to slay it. Right. And you know what? I fear the people that aren't that good because they're the ones that are putting the work in. When people are really good when their Roy Hobbs natural. They sort of like get lazy and rely on their natural abilities. It's the person that has to put the work in the Baker Mayfields of the world. Those guys that really want to grind and put the work in the effort in become better than the guy that's just naturally good.
So that being said, like my prediction, like Greg Olson was really good right off the bat, right? Or out the gate. Tom Brady has to put that work in. He'll eventually get there and surpass him. And this might be the year. I think that we live in a society that it becomes the narrative and people roll with it. Tom Brady's great at what he does and he's only going to get better. So that's my thought there. And Danny G, I was saying you're as a broadcaster. Yeah. You know, it doesn't, it doesn't, you got to put your rep sin. It like anything, your hours. What is it? Yeah, for sure. 10,000 hours to be a master. One thing I was, I had the knack for being on the air like as a DJ playing music to begin with, but the thing I really struggled with were the remotes. When my first program director sent me out to businesses to do a live remote, I was so scared of everything around me in the environment, the store manager. Sometimes the owner of the business would be there. The listeners would show up. Everyone was staring at you. And that would make me freeze. And I was horrible at live remotes at the beginning.
And then you find your groove. You kind of, you know, learn how to not pay attention to your surroundings and just do what you got to do with those things. You need your reps and Tom Brady's getting them. I don't know if he has 10,000 hours yet, but he's getting them and he's going to be just fine. But I remember even back in the day, you know, everybody wanted to be a VJ. You remember that? Not VJ Husky. No, I'm not that V like a video. Jockey MTV VJ, right? And I have VHS tapes that I just found. And it's me. It's like, hear the video from, hear the video from Boyth, man. I don't know. I'm just, now you're a top dog on the history channel. Yeah. And now I'm on, I'm on Hulu doing this stuff because I put my reps in, right? So they're, you can't expect greatness, right? You're an idiot to expect greatness from Tom Brady, you know, in his first two seasons at. I want to, I wanted to ask D.B. about golf because so many people say, Oh, it took me so many years to get good at this game. Who steps up in his awesome or out of the gate?
I keep using his gate. I'm sorry. It's taken me 40 years to suck at golf. Like it truly has. Like it's, it's, it is, it is a battle. And I think golf is unique in the fact of there are, there are people who just have it. They just have the swing they understand. And if you don't suck the baseball, Dan. That's what I say. It's a thousand, a thousand times easier for them. Hockey players are really good at golf because there's a similar move that you need to make on the puck as you would the golf ball. But the, yeah, golf is, is unique in that way where you can, there are some guys that are just never going to, to be better than a certain number of a handicap. No matter how much they practice and try, it's just never going to be, it's never, you're never going to be a single digit or a low single digit handicap. It's just going to be a 12 or it's going to be a 15. So golf is a little different in that way where as much as you try to practice, I think that there is a ceiling. And I think everybody has their own story, think of yours and share it.
Things that you suck that you were really bad at, but you know, eventually became really, really good at it because you were determined to be good at this one thing. I will take one phone call and maybe we'll have time for one more story. Who do we got the energy? Richie in Miami. Richie. What's up, buddy? A was going on for this. What are they calling you? A. Hocking about golf. I got to say guys, I've been watching golf for like maybe three to four years. And I got to say my putter, my putter is off the hook. It's something he improved on. Yeah, you know, when you, and especially when you think like I said, you're like, you get determined and you make it your mission. I'm going to get good at this. So, hey, great to hear it. Thank you for sharing. And we do have a few more minutes. So, let me fit this in. Not Michigan, not Western Michigan. Michigan State had one of the grossest, funniest football plays you'll ever see. During a two point conversion against Toledo, offensive lineman, Robert Wright, Jr. puke mid play, literally puke.
Dude, it was a vomit comment mid play. And a near defender, he was blocking. I'm the same play. Michigan State running back had his pants ripped down during the tackle. So, the whole thing was a disaster. The whole thing went viral. So, you got a double doozy of embarrassment on one play. So, you got one dude, you can like Bob Euker, right? The yaks. He spews in a cup, Sam. On the guy's arm. Yeah. If you're going to spew, spew in this, he spews all over the place. And then this other dude gets his pants ripped down. So, it got us thinking of the most embarrassing thing that happened. You had a game or maybe the most embarrassing thing you saw in a game. And a story that comes to mind for me, and I'm challenging you to think of these stories for yourself. But it was a story that like, I shouldn't feel embarrassed, but I was. Dude, there was a time, it was like Legion ball or maybe varsity ball, high school baseball.
It actually was junior high school like JV baseball. Because I'm thinking of my coach. His dad, my coach's dad was like the mascot of the team. And he was like 105 years old back then. And he would come to every game and cheer us on. So, this old guy would come and cheer his son's team on, right? Because his son was our coach. I hit a foul ball. It went a mile high, like a monster fly ball foul. Like a mile high pop up. And everybody watched it. I looked over and without fail. No one reached over to grab it. It hit this dude straight on the noggin. Like, blink right off the noggin. This guy was 105 years old. He collapses. He falls and violins has to come. And no one saved this poor guy. And I thought he was going to die. So, for me, that was one of the most embarrassing stories. Because I was responsible of almost killing my coach's dad. Who was like the team mascot with a mile high foul ball.
Something to look out for. It's gone viral today. A high school defender intercepts a pass. Think he's taking it to the house for a pick six. He takes off in the wrong direction and dances in it in his own end zone. Oh, dude, that type of stuff. I was called for a clipping play one time when one of my teammates ran one back. Like, we've always, we all have those stories where we were that guy. And it happened at the Michigan State game this past weekend. So think of yours. Maybe we'll talk more about it tomorrow. Maybe Rich will get to the state. St. Schedule. What do you think? Yeah. I think Rich is in the blue kitchen right now researching the saints on his phone. Maybe we'll get to that. But of course, Mike who runs his take and Mitt Mike who runs this place. Mike never heard of colston Mike and midweek major. We get to it tomorrow right here on the show. And of course, some foosball. But man, I am so pumped about Aaron judge. But until then, I'll read my dirty, baby. I'll see you in the promise land. Let's go, little shankies. Let's go!
