And let us fight back for you.
Apparently, who can-how do you get those invites?
Great question. I mean, Sal, of course.
Great question.
There had to be some people on this tour,
on this tour, where maybe not, Sal, he might be too nice a guy,
but somebody else is going, how do they get included in this?
I don't know. We don't need to go there,
but I've never been invited to any stadium tour.
Same.
There, we started on an awkward foot.
Sal Kapaccio, that's my fault.
Joining us now on the Western Hotline.
How was it today, Sal? We're jealous,
we're jealous, and maybe a little mad.
No, I'm kidding.
I mean, Jeremy and Joe were there.
Just say, they were there. They'll talk about it tomorrow.
I'm sure they were on the last one.
I think that's why it was kind of a,
see how progress has been made.
So I'm sure they'll talk about it tomorrow.
A lot of media, a lot of TV there.
Just more than, it was a full-on media.
Hey, we're going to show you everything here.
It was also stadium tour day in Tennessee, apparently,
because I saw Tron Davenport tweeting out video
very similar to what I was tweeting out about the high mark.
And I like, wait a minute, what's going on here?
Tennessee is doing the same thing we're doing today
with all these, with their new stadium.
They have a new stadium this year?
They're not as far along though, right?
It's a couple of years behind, isn't it?
It's a great question.
And because of what I saw, I asked John Polka that question.
He said, because of where their stadium is, proximity-wise,
like literally almost budding up to their current stadium,
they have a much, like, different timeline.
So yes, although they're, like,
they're a season behind the bills and opening.
They're a season behind the bills and opening.
But I think that the stadium is something with the timeline
where they're not a full year behind,
but they are a season behind, you know what I mean?
Because they have to do some things with the old stadium.
So I believe it's 26 for us, 27 for them,
which should be interesting.
And then obviously, you have Cleveland,
you have Kansas City, you have Denver now.
I mean, there's a lot of these that are popping up right now.
Yeah, today, real quick, before I forget,
I mean, Mike, you're opening like a childhood wound
of Brad Park for me today.
I'm listening.
I'm like, oh my god, the first time I ever really cried
after, like, sporting event in my life
was Brad Park in Game 7 of 83.
I was just at a hockey banquet last night.
I was the MC for the West Newark Athletics High School banquet.
And I literally referenced this.
And I'm like, oh my god, like, you know,
Sabers Playoffs and Brad Park in 83 made me cry.
And here we are again.
It was amazing.
In that game, I believe Rick Sealing, like, scored twice
and the Sabers were winning two-nothing,
which made it worse.
And they wound up losing that game.
Well, I know I watched it.
Me too.
One of my first Saber memories.
I mentioned earlier, the teacher bringing a TV
into our classroom for maybe that was, maybe that was Game 5.
Do you remember anything about this nine-nothing
afternoon weekday game sale?
What I remember is Phil Meer.
I didn't know, I didn't realize that Sove started
after Mike said it.
But I remember Phil Meer playing in this game,
yes.
Wow.
He gave up seven and never played again.
That had to do it.
He'd been in a league a long time by then.
All right.
Well, sorry, I guess.
No, no, that's okay.
But you know, we'll get to Brad May at some point.
I hate the crash.
That's why, you know, give me the bruise.
Let's beat him all day.
Anyway, I digress.
Yeah.
Well, what were the highlights today?
So a lot of a lot.
The last time I was there was August.
And it would, there was no, there were no seats in,
but they had the braces for the seats.
And there was no grass in.
Today, all that's changed.
I mean, it looks like a, you know,
pretty almost complete stadium
from the inside from the ball.
But then once you get in the corridors,
you can see all the work still being done
and they're making a lot of progress.
It was pretty amazing to see it.
You know, you really want you to get inside the ball.
I'll tell you the first thing I noticed from the inside.
So the outside's obviously you can see it.
And everybody can just drive down a bit road
or whatever and see that.
When we first went into the doors to go inside,
it looked like a dome.
Because the covering from where I could see it,
I could see the seats and I could see the covering.
And I couldn't see the top, right?
Because it was, it wasn't open yet.
So it literally looked like a dome.
It looked like I was walking into Detroit,
like Ford Field.
I'm like, oh, I've inside to a couple people.
It looks like we're in a dome.
And then you get closer and obviously it opens up.
And you see the sky.
And you know, but that was one of the first things that I noticed.
The pitch is very real.
So how we've talked a lot about how the current stadium,
old stadium now where, how it's designed,
where this one is more stacked and is more pitched.
The upper deck is definitely like closer to the field.
You can feel that when you're in the,
I guess you'd say 100 to 200, you know,
concourse walking around the circumference,
you feel like you're closer to the field, for sure.
Then you would, if you were in the same
vicinity, basically of the, you know, old high-marked stadium.
It's a good feature.
That's really interesting.
That would be a good feature.
And you can look, by the way, you can look,
you guys go to baseball games.
It's like these baseball stadiums now.
You can walk around the circumference of the stadium
and never lose sight of what's happening on the field.
Okay.
Yeah, that'll be, that'll be a really cool feature.
No doubt.
And it's really great to hear like,
I don't know how these other stadiums are going up,
but I feel like getting closer to the field.
I don't expect to hear, I'm going to be closer than I was
in a new place.
I just expect it to be further away.
And so that's pretty cool that your,
your observation is that it's steeper and therefore closer,
which I think is a cool one.
And not only that bulldog.
So you guys know like on the, at the current stadium,
the, like the yellow line that extends out
and like where you, the corner of the end zone, right?
The corner of the end zone butts up to the wall, right?
I mean, there's just no room back there.
Which is really cool actually.
I think that's cool.
It's a cool part about our stadium.
I've been to all but three NFL stadiums.
And it's the closest in the league.
There's a little more room.
I put some pictures.
There's not a lot more room.
It's still one of the closest walls to the field in the league.
And that was designed on purpose because they want the fans to be on top of you.
They want to keep that noise in.
They really want to have that home field advantage,
which is really cool.
So when you look at those pictures,
you can see like there's not a lot of room from goalpost to wall.
There's not a lot of room from corner end zone to wall.
There's a little more than now.
But it's still, I'm telling you.
From all the stadiums I go to,
this is still one of the, the closer features.
You know, you also notice the,
the red and blue seats around.
And it's really interesting.
You can look at it and go, well, why is that?
Well, they just, they wanted something that brings out the color and buffalo and represents buffalo.
And what we were told is they went,
they thought about maybe having like a design per se,
but at the end of the day, they decided,
you know what, let's just kind of make it random and just make it red and blue throughout the stadium.
And some seats are red, some seats are blue.
And some sections have more red.
And some sections have more blue.
And you know, some people are going to take some time getting used to that for sure.
Maybe they won't like it.
But I think it's a, it's a cool feature than just seeing these kind of bland,
you know, all blue or all red or all gray seats everywhere.
Yeah, or having it in like a pattern that is repeated, right?
This is just, just, that's right.
I have liked, it has struck me every time I've seen photos of the seats since they've been in there.
It has struck me that I like how it looks.
I've not studied it, but I mean, looking at it's like,
yeah, I kind of like that.
And I didn't know if there was a method other than just sort of,
they wanted it to be more random than looking like a pattern.
So is it, it's pretty, pretty much just random, yeah.
Is it random, random?
Or is it just like sort of meant to look?
I mean, there was, when I went to the stadium experience,
there was so many thoughts put into like the design of it,
like the wind, Jeremy tweeted about, you know, early reports on
there being able to mitigate the wind speed and the stadium are positive.
Like the, yeah, maybe you'll speak on that.
But I wonder.

Really?
I'm not sure I like the scattered colors on the seats.
Maybe I'll warm up to it.
I don't know who decided which seat is red,
which seat is blue, and how they decided, Mike.
You're right, so maybe there wasn't like a search total random.
It wasn't a flip of a coin for 60,000 seats.
I don't know, right?
But it is a random type of pattern.
There's no real design to it.
Yeah, so that was obviously something you notice.
And then Jeremy's point on the wind is right.
So you guys know that the stadium is designed
to keep the wind minimal when you're inside versus when you're outside,
when you're on the field versus when you're not on the field.
And there's still going through that process.
The one thing that really stands out to me that is just kind of on the outside
of how they did this is not just looking at it.
Everything they did is so thoughtful.
It really is.
When you go through this and you take a tour and you talk to John Polka
and you talk to Frank Corvada and you talk to the people who are a part of this,
every single thing seems to be like there was thought of.
Now you could probably pick out something random that wasn't,
but I'm telling you they'll tell you about things that you never would have thought about at a stadium.
Inside really like, oh yeah, we thought about doing this down to like
how we're in the suites where there's this atrium that connects all the suites.
Okay, this huge atrium is beautiful.
And like the walls are specifically designed with this like,
curving it to kind of replicate the overall stadium and the outside of the stadium.
Like these things are thought of when you're in there.
You go into the suites and where the food gets placed and
that you can have it hot or cold and certain areas like there's just so many little kind of things
that you don't think of as a random person until someone points it out to you and it's there.
And then this whole wind confusion and feeling the wind and Jeremy's right.
So literally we're on the field and there's a what I want to call it.
You know the thing that swirls with the wind.
What do you want to call it?
Not a, you know, man.
Not I'm losing my train thought.
A windmill.
Oh, and now windmill, but that a windmill like you know,
that little pinwheel.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, one of those things.
Whatever the real name for it is.
And it's down there.
It's literally like on the bill's sideline.
I'm like, what is that?
And they said they're still testing.
Like they're still going through the testing.
They want more data on if this where they are right there versus where something else is in the
stadium or outside the stadium.
And they're literally collecting all of that data to make sure that they want to get it exactly
where they need it.
George Hallis is rolling in his grave listening to his sport described like this.
Pinwheel testing.
Yeah.
Well, I'm excited to see them play on grass.
I mean, I never have, you know, right?
50 years in the other place.
It was always turf.
Can I tell you something else about the grass?
Okay.
Interesting.
Really interesting.
This is great.
So this is kind of something you see a lot of stadiums now.
You have a grass field, but you have turf sidelines.
Right?
That way the coaches, the players around the sidelines,
you're not getting all muddy and messy and everything.
But when they go on the field, they play grass football.
You know, this happens.
I think Kansas City has this now.
But the one thing I noticed and someone pointed out to me that I've never seen at another stadium,
but is here now is you know, you guys know where the kickers warm up on the field on the sideline.
You see that on the bill's sideline, right?
Sure.
Kind of like the bull pet.
I don't know what you want to call it, but it's in the bench.
It's back right, back left.
I know it sounds funny because it's something simple.
That's actually real grass again.
So it's all turf surrounding them,
but where the kicker is going to warm up, it's real grass so that they can get used to the surface.
How much grass is there for that?
10 yards, maybe.
So the kicker can just run and kick into that net.
Five yards.
How much grass do you need?
About 10.
Mike, it's actually yeah, probably about 10 by five actually.
Yeah, they had to figure out how much they need for that.
That is awesome.
And I think it's representative of what you said a minute ago,
the level of things that are being thought of.
Because who would think you're making this point about it, turf on the sidelines,
grass on the field and all these other places.
And I would never have thought you were going to end up at, yeah,
have a little patch of turf for the kickers to practice.
A patch of grass.
Very grass, I mean, yeah.
Is there a crown on this field?
Good question.
I asked, yes, but it's very slight, not like, not like what we used to have.
You know, even now at Heimark Stadium,
it is nothing like it used to be at Heimark Stadium when it was rich stadium,
the old turf, like the real concrete scratchy astroturf, right?
I remember I played a high school game and I'm telling you,
I would run an out pattern and I'd be on near the sideline.
I could hardly, my quarterback was five foot tall.
He was already taller, but he was a five feet taller.
He was in the middle of field.
I'm down there and the ball is sealed over your head.
So there is a crown.
It is very slight, but yes, there is a crown.
Sal Capaccio on the Western hotline.
Got a tour of the stadium today.
Anything else?
Buys and statues?
So that was afterward.
We were able to get a preview of what now you can see if you go to the Buffalo Bills website,
BuffaloBills.com, and I've also tweeted out some pictures from there and all that.
So other people have as well.
We learned a lot about the Buys and statues, and if you want to talk about again,
putting thought, this wasn't just, hey, we're going to get some big ass statues and put them out there.
You know what I mean?
That wasn't what it was going to be, you know what I mean?
They actually commissioned this whole process to get the right person to do it,
and they settled on an architect, and she looked at her past designs,
and they thought about conservative versus super progressive, and how they wanted to blend that
together. So you'll see the pictures, and there are three bisons.
One is 27 feet tall, another is 24 feet tall, and another is 12 feet, the calf.
And when you look at the pictures, you see the scale that they put the renderings next to people
who would be standing there, and yeah, they're massive. And what's super cool is,
aside from the design, and you can pick a part and like it, and not like it, all the different parts
of the design is, the things we learned about it is, like to me, the coolest part was the illumination.
So these bison will actually be illuminated, and they have the ability to be lit up any color
at any time they want. They can make them green on St. Patrick's Day. They can make them all white
if the bills are wearing all white. They can do whatever the heck they want with these bison.
So they're like the peace bridge. Now we can have theme lights, sure. Yeah.
And what's the consensus, because I've been following along, I've seen some renderings,
I've seen I think pictures of the renderings that you would have seen if you got this tour,
but I haven't gotten re, are people satisfied? Are the bison big enough sale?
We'd believe that they're big enough. I think they are, and I will say,
there comes a point where they could be too big, right? I mean, like these are 27 feet. Have you?
If I had a dime. Yeah. If you, like, think about, we were talking about this afterwards,
and there's going to be a spot. So if you go to my Twitter feed, you'll see that I have a
rendering of what it's going to look like when they're lit up. Like that's going to be a spot where
people will take a lot of pictures, the stadiums in the background. If these bison were like twice
the size, that's 27 feet. If they were 50 feet, I mean, it's too big. How are you going to take a
picture? You don't have the DM thing in the, in the picture with it. You know what I mean? Like,
you can't do that. You know what I'm saying? You're going to cross the other side of
it road to take a picture. Yeah, exactly. Nobody wants to do that. So yeah. So I think they had to,
they had to strike the right tone. And you know, the platform it's on is a little bit tilted. So
they again, thinking of everything, it feels like if you're standing in front, the way it was
described to us was it'll feel like they're literally coming at you and charging at you because
it's tilted a little bit towards you. It'll also help with the rain and things like that. And around
the circle there. Now this circle where the bison are going to be, this is outside the security
perimeter of like the ticket area, I should say. It's going to be secure. But it's take, you can go
in there. People can go in there at any time. They can take a picture. You can middle of summer.
You want to go visit it. It's Buffalo. There's going to be a plaque with a about a history of
Buffalo, not just the Buffalo bills, but everything about history. And then this is where they're also
going to have what will be basically a ring of honor where you're going to take the names from
inside the wall of fame and put plaques for a ring of honor. And it's all going to be around these
Buffalo. When did they go in? I think it was June. I think is the time period. And you know,
again, it was like the way it was described to us. Like it's not some can't be some secret. They're
just too big. They can't be. They're going to people are going to know when they're going in.
So they'll do something with it. You know what I mean? But they'll be really cool to kind of,
I wonder, like I wonder when they go in, if people are going to go down, they're going to go
out today's the day and they're going in, that might happen. And maybe they'll do something with it.
I have no idea, but you can't keep it a secret. Buffalo Statue Day soon to be announced.
I just want to say I think as soon as I know that they're there, I'm going to want to go check them out.
100%. I don't know. That makes me whatever. I'm going to be curious about them. I'm going to
want to see that. So we're talking a little bit about the draft today, less than a month now.
Do you have any reason for leaning one way or another if we're talking about the bills trading
out of pick 26 up for that guy or down to add players, fill holes? Do you like one idea more than
the other and does this year have anything to do with like how you would lean there?
I do have it. I like one more than the other, but it's really only because of the capital.
I mean, the bills just don't have a second round pick. I'd like to recoup that second round
pick in some way. And I don't think that there's, unless someone really falls, I don't have a
player in mind, but if someone really falls down that you say, you know, we got to take this guy here.
The value is just too good. We really like them. Then you stay at 26. I don't know how you can move up.
What are you going to give up a third round or you can then you're not picking to the fourth round?
And that's just a little, that's tough for me, right? You know, and I know I'm, hey, win now, whatever,
you know, heck with the picks, second and third round, you know, you don't know what you're going to
get, but those could be good players. Cole Bishop was a second-run pick. I don't key on Coleman
was to you. Just don't know what's going to happen. So I would say trade down. I would like to
them to acquire another mid-round pick, another second or a get back in the second, I should say,
or acquire another third and the way to do that would be to move down.
Me too. I did some of the math on this earlier and trading their third round pick
with their first to move up is only like four spots because the third is pretty late. So
I'm totally with this. Mid-second, mid-third or early-second, late-third, anything like that.
I mean, that usually would be doable, I would say. So I'm with you on that.
How big a year is this for Brandon being sale? I mean, there's always obviously, I don't
need to set this up for you, I think. I mean, pressure, but with the coaching change and another
year going by without breaking through in the AFC is, you know, maybe this affects how he
drafts this year thinking about just how much urgency he feels.
I've felt that all along. Like, I don't think, when you say how big of a year is it for Brandon
being like, I don't think there's, I mean, there's always pressure to win, but the fact of how
everything played out tells me I believe that, you know, regardless of what happens this year,
he's still in his position in 2027 at this time. You know, you never know, but I do think
if you're going to make a move away from Sean McDermott because even the owner says they've
hit the proverbial playoff wall, you're not doing it to reset. You're doing it to get over the
playoff wall. So therefore, the next coach, whether that's Joe Brady, who it is or anybody else,
the mission has to be to get further than you've been. And then the only way to really do that
is to make sure the team is better or it has the right tools and resources on top of that.
I think what would embolden him to be even more aggressive is how many people were upset or wondered
why did Sean McDermott get fired and Brandon being not only stayed but got promoted. And, you know,
if that was me, I don't think there's any, I think this is normal human reaction. If that's me,
I'm going to go, well, I'm going to show you, I'm going to show you that I can do this. And why,
why, if I'm making the decisions and I'm now the guy that's a football, president of football
ops and I'm the GM and I'm here and you're upset, let me show you, let me prove to you why this was
the right move for us. Does that worry you at all? No. I wish I want them to be as aggressive as
possible. You know, Josh is 30 years old. We know there's just a finite time on, you know, him
being the quarterback and hopefully that finite time is still a long time from now. Um, but I want
them to be aggressive that it doesn't mean yet. Sure, there's a point that could be reckless, I guess,
but no, I want them to be aggressive and it does not worry me if he thinks that way.
All right, so any questions for us Yankees opener tomorrow night.
No, I mean, is Garrett Cole even pensioned? I mean, I have not looked into the Yankees opener yet.
I will. I will get into it tomorrow. Okay. Oh, that's fair. I do, I do have a question. Bulldog.
Bulldog was in this mic. Were you in the survivor pool too? The Joe Astrosky?
No, I didn't, I didn't play this year. Okay. Um, you were in it. You had, you took Gonzaga, right?
I lost on Gonzaga. I made it through Thursday and Friday and I lost on Gonzaga Saturday. Yeah.
All right. Well, I'm still in it. There's 800 and something people out of over 2000, which is
really cool. Yep. But man, it is hard. Like it's day, this is going to be day five coming up and
like I've already taken Arkansas, Purdue and Illinois. So the only teams I can even take are Texas
over Purdue, Iowa or Nebraska playing each other, Houston over Illinois or Arizona over Arkansas.
Tough choices. I think I'm going to go with Arizona, but I just thought if you guys have a thought on
that, I don't know. I don't, I love this pool and normally I would have a lot of thoughts on it.
Kind of trying to figure out the path to victory and the tournament is so chalky again.
That I mean, not that many people are getting knocked out and nobody wants to play ones and twos
in the first week anyway. So only the, the one Florida lost right that. So, um, I don't know.
I guess you got to kind of reverse engineer it. Uh, and then everybody will do that.
So right. Maybe the way to win is go the other way and just hope like Duke gets beat or
something like that. Tough. When it's so chalky, it's just less fun. Uh, better matchups, but
I mean, if you look at Fridays games, look at those teams that are playing each other, those schools.
You have Patino against Duke, Shire and Patino, St. John's and Duke, Alabama against Michigan,
Michigan State against Eucon. I mean, heck of a lineup, right? For a sweet 16 night. That's pretty cool.
That's just one half of it. Yep. Yep. And I have Iowa State. So, um, that's the one you didn't say.
And hell, even Sunday, you got Patino against yourself, those, the Johnny's and Kansas. Yep. That's right.
Very good. Good luck with that. So, thanks for your time. Thanks guys. All right. So, man,
Selk, Patio on the West, her hotline, his appearances are always brought to you by New York's

Three nicknames.
You want them? Or do you want to think about it? You want to ruminate on this one?
Three pro football reference nicknames, Peyton Manning.
Plucky underdog player. There, there, I know, I know one of them.
One of them is something Grootin says all the time about him. Okay.
Maybe what, what is, what is that? What is that? I can't think of it. Yes, I want, I want time
to try to think of it. I promise I'm not gonna Google. I'm sure you won't.
Um, I, I, does that sound familiar to you, Zach?
Like Grootin's got, there's, there's something that Grootin used to call him that I think stuck.
I believe so. I, I have one in my head that I know for that, this one.
Yeah. I think the big, this, yeah. All right. I need, I need to break.
We'll take the break. Give Bulldog time. Peyton Manning's nicknames. 803-0550.

Good luck, Bulldog. I can hear your interest. Yeah. Well, I wasn't expecting that.
But good for me. Especially in general. I don't know. It's usually country shows.
Sometimes. Good deal. All right. Peyton Manning. 50th birthday. When you come up with it.
I did. I did. Not much. But I did really usually inside baseball for everybody. We'll have a
conversation like we had at the end of last segment. Oh, give me give me the break. I want to
think about this. I'll get up and go walk around and have a conversation with Jim think or somebody
out in the newsroom and then just walk around for three minutes and come back and not have spent
30 seconds. Yeah. But alone five minutes. I really did sit here and but I only could think about
the group. I'm not thinking about other nicknames he might have. I'm trying to just imagine
Grudens voice saying this thing and I don't have it. I can't get there. But I feel like he threw
some kind of a military nickname on Manning. I don't want to just grab bag. I'm pretty sure it's not
admiral. All right. But it sounds like you know it. Is it just commander general?
Oh, something the big, the big, the big. What is it? The sheriff. The sheriff law enforcement
not military. You're right. The sheriff. All around it. And Manning. Yeah. Like he's sort of
country. Goober. He's like Woody from Toy Story. But in real life, like sheriff totally works.
I mean, it's not really. Yeah. I don't know. You're fine. That that that the sheriff. Yes.
And I can eat now. I definitely can hear Grudens saying it. Down it. Also the caveman.
Not sure. Not sure. I understand that. Okay. And lastly, pay dirt. P-E-Y. Pay dirt. Somebody calls
Peyton Manning. Pay dirt. No. No. No one ever has. Pay dirt. No one ever has called him pay dirt.
No one probably ever has done it once. How does this qualify as a nickname then? What about paint
Peyton? Because he got that insurance. Is it insurance? Whatever. There's an ad from the last year
or two. Of course, insurance. He's paint. What else would it be? Of course. It is. It's drugs.
It absolutely is insurance. I'm not just Peyton Manning. I'm Peyton Manning. Yeah.
We don't have that. That didn't make the cut Peyton. Not here. Not where I'm looking.
I was wondering if we'd get like a Mr. Colt or something. Mr. Colt. Mr. Colt.
Well, as Denver Stint might have ruined that. Suppose Johnny United's might have had something
to say about that. But still, who is Mr. Colt? Mike Curtis should be Mr. Colt. If there is a Mr. Colt.
Or Johnny U. Or Johnny United's. That's not a bad choice. Yeah. The sheriff.
That was so gettable. I am looking at his 2015 game log. Peyton Manning, his last year. Oh,
gosh. It is heinous. Gotta be really bad. Yeah. It's worse than you think. I think it's really bad.
I remember he couldn't really throw the ball. Nine touchdowns, 17 interceptions.
In the year 2015. Okay. You're right. It's way worse than I thought. Are you kidding? No.
That's it. Nine touchdowns, 17 kicks. I know. It's worse than you thought. He's like maybe the
greatest who's ever played the position. He is nine touchdowns, 17 interceptions. Yes.
In a Super Bowl winning year. He started the first nine games that year for Denver.
The ninth of which was a home game against Kansas City that would have been Alex Smith.
And Manning went five for 20 with four picks and 35 yards. I mean, that's that is heinous. That
is five for 20 with four picks. That is give him out of there. They did. He left the game. They put
in Brock Osweiler who then I think started the rest of their games until the last one.
Whether Manning was just I don't remember whether he was just old or injured, but it was going
really badly. They were still something like seven and two. They started seven and oh.
Actually. And then lost two games. That's the second one. Five for 20. He gets four picks.
And Osweiler steps in and goes what now? Four and two. Pretty good. And then Manning starts the
finale or plays in it. Five for nine 69. They win. And then it's the playoffs. They beat Pittsburgh
at home. They had home field. They beat Pittsburgh at home, decent stat line. Then they beat New England
in the AFC championship in Denver. Remember that game? 2018. Manning 17 for 32, 17,
six and two. Good enough to win. Better take that down. And then the Super Bowl against Carolina.
Where he couldn't win the MVP. I mean, we just can't with this guy. 13 for 23, 141 in a pick.
And was sack five times by the Panthers. Sean McDermott. This is the most anti-cubi wins
season of all time. Maybe I mean, are you kidding? And it's not from the 70s. That is right. That's
what it sounds like. Does nine touchdowns to 17 picks. Wow, right? I mean, and he doesn't play six
of the games, right? Osweiler said goes four and two. Correct. So like, he plays those six games,
you know, allowing some opportunity for him to have like the best games of the season or something.
But like, if he plays them all, he's he's at like 13 touchdowns and
26 interceptions. Maybe, yep. Kind of a two to one ratio. That is incredible. Interceptions to
touchdowns. I was set up for it. You've done a great job. Thank you. Because you absolutely,
there was no way I was going to be surprised at how bad it was. Because I knew I remember living
through it. I remember he couldn't play. He's the sheriff. It was incredible. That is
certainly a birthday tribute. No. This is not nice. No. He is the best ever. I did see, I did see
a tweet with like, you know, positive stats of his that were, you know, there were a couple of
good years in there. Kind of pretty, pretty mind-boggling. Just incredibly good. Yeah. So two years
before this, nine to 17 year, he was 55 to 10. Right. Right. 5,400 yards. 55 touchdown passes,
10 picks. Those are both the 5,400 and the 55 touchdowns. Are they those are records? I think,
I think what I saw those numbers, unless he did better than that somewhere, I think those are
both NFL regular season records. I believe it. I mean, 55 touchdowns. That is insane too.
That says insane is nine and 17 picks. Three players only have thrown for 50. Manning 55,
Brady in 07, the Randy Moss team, then undefeated, and Mahomes.
Eight years ago Mahomes 2018, Allen's rookie year. What are there now? 50, 50 even. Okay.
Manning has a 49, Dan Marino, Aaron Rogers, 48, Breeze and Stafford 46, Stafford this past year,
MVP. Rodgers, another 45. What's the bills record? Is it Allen?
37 in the COVID year. 36 the next year. I think those are his highs. I don't know that Kelly
ever topped that. I don't think he did. I don't think he did. It's, it's all, it's era modest.
His best years are not near Allen's best year. I don't think best years. So I would guess that
that's the Allen also has a 35. So he's got 37, 36 and 35, three years in a row.
Yeah. Goat is not one of the nicknames. Should be, Brady has that. Nobody argues.
Nobody makes the argument. I'm just out here on my own. Speaking into the abyss,
Peyton Manning, do you see the Dan Leberfeld tweet you follow him?
I do follow Dan our bar Jets friend. Of course I followed Dan. Yes.
So this came up, I think yesterday with Sal at another time last week. This year in rules,
proposals, count as high was 33 by the way. Okay, good. In 91. Still good. Yep.
And how it's not interesting. There's the Browns one where they want to expand how many years you
can trade draft picks for like making five years. There's a Steelers one that's almost
incomprehensible about how many phone calls you're allowed to make to free agents.
And so there's that. And that was it. But Dan tweets that there's a new one now.
I saw something from Sheftar on this earlier today too. Okay. Glad you brought it up. I
flagged it. I should be able to find it here. I have glad. Okay. From the competition committee,
would McDermott have had to relinquish his position on the position. I think you're not on the
I don't think you're on that anymore if you don't have a job. New rules proposal to allow the
NFL officiating department to correct clear and obvious misses made by on field officials that
impact the game in the event that there is a work stoppage involving game officials.
So only this is saying only if they end up using replacement reps again. Would they implement this?
They will expand moon ref space ref. Clear and obvious. My favorite term in football.
It's got to be clear and obvious. It almost never is when they review a play. And yet somehow
plays are overturned. So clear and obvious misses. That impact the game is part of the wording
here also. It's got to be important. I'm sure that will be an easy line to draw.
Right. Right. But I've seen come teams come back from 35 to three. Right. What's important to me
might not be important to you. We're not going to impact this game because it's in the playoffs
and it's in overtime. And we've got to get to the next game. So this one we're just going to let
it go. Brandon cooks. We're just going to. I don't want to muddy the water. Is that all you have?
Because I've got a list of five items here that. Yeah. This is from Shafter. And what you
mentioned here from Leberfeld is the fifth of the five. Okay. The other four are as follows.
Allow league personnel to consult with on field officials when considering disqualifications
for both flagrant football acts and non football acts without being called on the field.
Space ref can throw you out for a gesture. Space ref sees you do something that the officials
on the field did not. They can intervene. Great. Super. Love it. The others are all about kickoffs.
So I'll go back to the top. These are numbered one through three. One permit the kicking team to
declare an onside kick at any time during the game as opposed to what the fourth quarter. I believe
that's how it is now. Okay. Yeah. So you still have to declare it. Sure they will. Right. Okay.
To eliminate the kicking teams incentive to intentionally kick the ball out of bounds
when kicking it off from the 50 yard line. We had this in a bills game this year. Yeah.
Because it's the penalty is from the spot of the kick. Right. It's a 25 yard foul.
So from the spot of the kicks. If you're kicking off from the 50 kicking out of bounds on purpose,
you're pinning them at the 25. That'll pass. Okay. Three. Modify the kickoff alignment requirements
for the receiving team in the setup zone. I don't know what. George Alice. Think of this hour
and football talk. But these, these, these were serious people who built the NFL out of, out of
brawn and whatever else the line is. Oh yeah. These are serious people. They played in the mud.
Now we got special grass for the area on the sideline where the kicker warms up.
And we've got this. Modifying the kickoff alignment requirements for the receiving team in the
setup zone. The setup zone just sort of flows just rolls right off the top. It does. John
Fesenda would never. Modify. Yeah. I'm not going to. Let's have John AI John Fesenda read that.
That's got to be possible, right? Should I know how to do that? I don't. 803 0550 might show up in
the Bulldog WGR. I'm done carrying around bulky drinks. And I'm definitely done cleaning melted
