Welcome back to Numbers on the Board, Numbers on the Board! Yes! We hear on what day?
Friday. What day is it? Friday is means that we're answering your questions after we get into
last night's games and so many other things. Fellas, how are we doing today? My game here looking
to flee. Oh, his cat Williams? Yeah, that's right. You get me cat Williams. My boy reaching
the heights. You know what this means? What that means? More pressure on you. Why? It was a slacks
day. You brought out the sweat. Look at everybody. Look at the return. The return is crazy.
I was dressed yesterday. That's what I'm saying. It's no more of those. It is getting to that
point though. Why woke up? I'm like, man, I really do tomorrow's Saturday. You tomorrow's Saturday.
Mike bringing that. I ain't slowing down either. Saturdays is my days when I'm turning it up
actually. All of some was like, man, I thought that was y'all too. No, that's day chill days.
That's when I turn it up. I'm definitely chillin tomorrow. I'm chillin right now.
I'm I retired. I ain't worried about being comfortable. You know what I'm saying?
Got a shot. Got a shot. It was about being comfortable. It sounded like a shot to me.
Oh, we got you off the mic. We do. I'm going to I'm going to give you all some teams
and I want y'all to give me on a scale of 1 through 10. How much you trust them offensively
come play off time. But first thing we got is a Cleveland Cavaliers.
1 through 10 scale. Offensively at probably like a 9 or 10. I mean, they have James
from Donovan Mitchell. So always assume that offensively they would probably be at a consistently
put up points at a high level. I agree with Demeos. I'm probably 8 and I, but I'm right
then the same area with with the Cavs. Yeah, I was thinking eight. It is still a lot of pressure
on the Sam Arrows and the Jalen Tyson's of their team to to make those open shots like the key
on Ellis's of the world because we know that Donovan and James going to draw so much attention
that they're going to kick out. Like I like we just watched that Laker game last night in the last
two important shots or like market smart shots, you know. And that type of pressure is going to be
on some of those lesser guys on the totem post. I would go like a side to market smart for having
the guts to take them because I don't know if any other Laker role players is going to be ready to
hate to be in that role, man. Yeah. Yeah. The last when he missed him, he was opening a corner,
he pointed to Brian like. Yeah, like we know game 17. How much that case LeBroscher just taking
a step back three then diagram or Luke, I don't look at scoring that fourth quarter. Yeah, he did
about those at last six minutes or so. He didn't. It was a little period of time where he didn't score.
Like I rather him just take a step back over four then let market smart take the
first shot. Once I saw he's the Jackson Hayes is going to switch. We're very hot tomorrow.
The Lakers could have made all those threes. Yo, because he's going to come back and get a Ganty too.
Yeah, just like they was willingly just giving up and not that Jackson Hayes not switching was
going to stop. Yeah, but it's a little bit more resistant. Even when we had the small ball line,
and we were playing like sometimes we would have times we were rotating and playing good defense,
but they would just kind of get to the rims. Like nobody's there. So we just exerted 20 seconds
of good energy on defense to just give up a layup. So he just can't really win out there. I didn't
do get to stop because they take the Jamal Murray corner shot, which you like, okay, that would
be good shot. Bruce Brown got the office of rebound. Yeah, and that was kind of the game. Yeah,
how much does Evan Mowgli's offense matter this playoffs now that they have James Hardin?
Like do they need to lean on him as much? I mean, lean on him as much. No, as we've been saying
for a couple of years, I think he is a skeleton key to unlock everything. I feel like when Evan
Mowgli does have good offensive games. Now, even me like he's got to score 25 or 30, but just like
efficient and aggressive games, I feel like more likely to not they win those games. And there's
going to be some matchups in the Eastern Conference where they're just going to be bigger than their
competition. And I would want to see him dominate like a game of two nights ago. Maybe that was
his Brooklyn or whatever. There was many times where he had a small defender on him and I loved
everything I saw. Even if he didn't attempt a shot, he was trying to use that size to get,
you know, an easier look for himself. That's the type of stuff I'd rather see from Evan Mowgli.
Yeah, I think I think it's very important for this run just because you got to everybody
got to be full hands on that guy. As there's no I had a bad series type moments like it's right now.
So like everybody kind of got to come out and understand the assignment of that. We only have a few
year window here before everything has to change. Your question was lean on them. I don't think
they're going to have to lean on them. I think they need Evan Mowgli to be Evan Mowgli. And if
in the midst of that, he can have some standout offensive games that'll be nice. But I think you
wouldn't got James Harden so you wouldn't have to lean on him knowing that that may not be your best
route. I just think it's unfortunate. Harden has his hand injury. That's why you think you may
have to sometimes lean on Evan Mowgli a little bit more than what you probably expected.
We got 19 more games with it. Well, he'll figure it out. I trust James. I do too. And I think even if
that's the case, you probably still not leaning on him because James Harden is going to play.
As long as he's able to play, we've seen James Harden be able to be effective without being at his
like that bucks net series. James Harden was like on one leg. Well, yeah, he was basically a
decoy for the last two years to work. It worked against a really good defensive bucks team.
So I could see him still finding a way to be effective.
And he said some already games already. Yeah. Next thing we got is the Houston Rockets.
Oh, boy, Mike. That's five foot on a scale. I went eight foot of chaos. I got to go like six or
five or six. I was going to put it right in the middle. I don't know what they expect when they
gain a game basis from their office. And I also think in a seven game series, when I look at
the men and how he plays. And I don't know. It's just seems like they have a schemable offense.
And I re-shepered. Yeah, he does make shots. But am I going to, am I going to trust that?
I hope so. Hey, they got no other choice but to try to trust that we need to see before you
could, before you say, are you going to trust it? Playoffs is a big moment. Like that's
the sort of life of the biggest. That's one of the teams I really locked in on the assignment.
So like everybody got a time to plan for you. I guess, but it's still basketball at the end of
the day. It is. Ain't going to forget to play basketball because it's playoffs is in front of
the game on the schedule now. So TV is rock is verse. Boom. Now they just put playoffs. It's
the same thing. I don't know. He may trust him enough. Like if he has a game for game one of the
first round where he doesn't have a good one, I hope that he don't just cut his minutes immediately.
He won't be able to. Because I mean, if that's the case, they're going to be in trouble.
I didn't. Because look at what Jabara did last night.
Entrocious. Yeah. Some of these performances are going to happen. I'm in Thompson. Like he says,
it's very skimable. So a lot of these guys could have a bad night. And I hope you may
engage in that hard because they're going to need some reshapert. Hell last night. He
about the one of the biggest reasons they had a chance. Yeah. No, he was. He was hoping last night.
You would think if you got a game from reshapert and Josh Akogi in three years that you would walk
over there. That's a win. I think it was part of the reason why it kind of and it was who they lost
too. Yeah. And lose to San Antonio. You didn't lose the OKC or Denver in a tough battle. You
also a Warriors team to. It was a cryer. Yeah. May mean not want to turn this game on.
Brett. You know, Bob. I have an underrated here. Yeah. He was. Yeah. It was it was a little tough
because I think the reached reshapert situation. Like he was doing his thing so much. And like they
were up in this game. That like Kevin Iran didn't really have to insert himself until it came to
like the last basically minute of a game it felt like. And at that point, it was just like we just
going W. Nobody else really got over them anyway. And he got to be the excuse though because we've
seen that for months now. Mm hmm. If he inserted himself or didn't insert himself. Yeah, the teams
are just going to W because that has seemed like the recipe to success against the Houston Rockets.
And now that we are 18 games away from the playoffs and we still having this conversation
goes to Derek's main point. They have a skimable offense. And because of that,
they're going to be a five to a four for me. Yeah, you know, there's at one point that
Drema Green was just denying Kevin Randall. Yeah, it's kicking the ball the whole fourth quarter.
Not at all at twice. I'm so tired of seeing it. I'm so tired of it. So as he did such a ball,
one time he had to shoot over like a double team too. So I just want to understand how as a
coach and staff, you know, when Drema is denying him and you all don't have no way of trying to get
him to ball like at an easier point and get it Drema on off of him. Mm hmm. Yeah, and you can see
sometimes when he's getting denied or he doesn't get the ball, he'll like. He's just going to give up.
Yeah, he just put his head down. It's like whatever. And then it ends up in a terrible shot
because somebody else is taking his like, well, that possession and how we kind of thought it was
going to end. Yeah. So rough, rough, rough bad loss for that team. They should just have,
they should just have a back pocket of denial. That's what I would call it. Once he gets denied,
we know what we can get to. Yeah. Just clear operations and then go and go to work or whatever
y'all need it to be because again, we are, we in March and I can't believe we still seeing
some of this personally. Mm hmm. And now that most of their shooters and our shooters and like
Tari's not hitting shots. We just using mentioned Jabari not hitting the shots right now.
That's what things get real bad. That should be a game you win by 15 points easily. That's a bad
thing. And ahead. Well, do I mean, if it's 15 been doing nothing like I thought you would have
to with that sign up. So the lake is well right. Apparently, I think the lakeers were right.
Goodness. Yeah. Shout out to Doe, man. We rooting for you to get back on track. When we come back,
we got more numbers on the board. And let's get into the most anticipated game from last night.
We got the spurs versus the pistons of for the second time in about a week's time.
The spurs to care business. 121 to 106. A game in Wimbledon, you know, nearly have 40. He had 38,
16, five blocks, three assists. The air fox was killed in that first half. Well, he had,
let me do some quick, ma'am, 22 points going into half time. The pistons did go on a little
wrong. But ultimately, the spurs just look like the better team start to finish this one. This
game reflected or checked out a lot of boxes on why I was so early on the spurs of saying what
they could do. Because it just got so much, man, Stefan Kassu was able to lock you in on his
assignment. And it didn't hinder the team. Victor Wimbiamma is going to be Victor Wimbiamma.
And the air fox was able to, you know, do what he got to do. As far as scoring a basketball,
I was like, they just got a lot of different ways that they can hurt you, Julian Champini,
incredible three-point shooter. I think this showed the trajectory that the spurs can be on.
And I think it also showed some of the issues that a lot of us
feel like we could potentially, not that we're going to, but we could potentially see with
the Detroit pistons at the same time. And I watched the game through. And after the game,
John Wall said a lot of the same things. It was like, where is the other ball handler?
Yeah. Kate has so much responsibility of trying to find his
make place for others. And John Wall was like, man, at one point in his game,
he looked tired. And it's like, man, the playoffs, that's going to be the rest of the, especially
if you go against a team, whoa, I was going to say 18. But it's a couple of teams now where
the next guy who was able to have a rattle, he's going full-press him just to, just to where I'm at.
Kass got Kiana and Truder and Kiana and then Truder would definitely hound in the whole game.
But yeah, you ever see Kate kind of have me, but just like, give the ball up when somebody else
can bring it up. He'll take a big sigh, I believe, because he just gets a small break. And that's
one of my biggest things. This obviously the shooting and having another ball creator or just somebody
who can create looks and create good shots. I might be leaning more to somebody who can create
shots for them because it goes hand in hand with Kate doesn't get a break unless he's literally
just getting a break on the band. He doesn't get no rest during the game. And then last night,
I believe the spurs held them to like 32, 38 points in the paint, which was the season low for
the pistons. So you can't score in the paint. You're not a good three-point shooting team.
Man, good luck. Kerasa Verk and our boy, Danish Jenkins played 35 minutes together,
0 for 11 from the field. And Mr. Jenkins just saying he has been good for quite some time now.
The first game they played against him, he had some plays, but in that first game that they had,
Danish Jenkins and I think Kerasa Verk too might have had some buckets in.
It felt like a relief because they like you just kind of wonder where that offense was going.
But at the same time, it's kind of levels to it. And I don't expect it like a game-to-game basis,
you know? Especially against a team like this.
So that's just a fun castle man. Him just raging around screens. It's just fun to watch him
defensively, especially when he know like, my son and it's to stop this guy. I ain't got to think
about nothing else. Just stick to Kate cutting him. It's so amazing to see. He had one block early
in the first quarter where he was picking him up full-core. He got a screen at half-core.
And he was trailing and trailing. He blocked the three-point shot from Kate cutting him.
He's just incredible. Women Yama had like a self-blow. Or, no, he missed the layup and then
tipped dunked his own miss. It's just a wimpy, ridiculous game. And then DR5, like I mentioned,
started off so crazily hot. So seeing got everything you could really ask for.
It's kind of crazy. The young team kind of have everything put together.
Already, right? You just don't really see that with young teams. You kind of see them kind of like
they miss and this, they miss and that. We handled in that tank and right.
Yeah, because if the young teams can come together and look like this,
I want that. I think it's good for the game. Give us a different type of energy.
And the only way you should have success shouldn't be through
free agency and being able to trade and put together stars.
You know, I mean, we should be able to have all type of successful teams. A team that's home
grown. If you do want to go to free agency route and pair up, Yannis and Dame or Paul,
Georgia, Kawaii, you could be able to do that. But yeah, if you if you got a suck for three years,
you know, I'm saying it's a long time to be sucking. But if you want to suck for three years,
and you able to get boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, and they can grow together organically,
I'm with that as well. So try not to kill them Johnson too, man. Like, I think there's a lot of
players that can kind of be in that build similar. No, our bill. We big bones. Whereas it's like,
he was scoring, he was a 20 point score in his league. And like now he's really conformed to
his role and the small thing to do because exactly he was a 20 point score, but he wasn't a 20 point
score. If you catch my jerk, exactly. Yeah. I want to give a couple flowers before we get to
a fan Friday. Presta Chui had had another great game. In the last five games, he's average in 18,
10 and three on 57 percent shooting. He's been incredible. Also, Kaleil Ware was a few assists away
from a five by five, 16 points, 11 rebounds, five steel, seven blocks, but only one assists. A-Bun
won't really work, but shout out to him. And lastly, Ace Bailey had his best game of his NBA career,
32 points on 80 percent true shooting. And shot at the Jason Tatum, making his return. Can't wait.
Oh man. Y'all watch your mouth about mellow too. But yeah, shot at the Jason Tatum man.
I cannot wait for this this return. I don't care if he plays 10 minutes. I'm gonna love every minute.
Try y'all in return. He did. I didn't get to see a single second of that game though. It was, uh,
it was cool. They didn't have like Alex Sarn, George, but he made some plays out there.
Yeah, Julian Reese. You know, it was the best shot you can get no flowers out of them.
I didn't have a 20. Yeah, man. Reese, I'm sorry. When they're like the most rebounds by rookie
I think since the one he has a lot, did you? The Wizards are projected to win that game.
Doesn't that just sound weird for the first time that's happened this year for them?
They was like, man, Angel Reese got a tough time. Her boyfriend versus her brother.
One day a quarter verse. Oh wow. Julian. Who do you root for? Oh, Julian. You root for your brother.
What the hell? The guy that's trying to make it to the league and not the guy to sign the big
dating him. That ain't hard. All right, Derek. It's on you.
All right, so we're going to hop into framer friday. This one is from Shay. He said,
you need at least a top blank player in the league to be able to win a championship.
And how many first option players do you currently back to be able to lead their team to a
championship? Oh boy. It's a loaded question. It's a heavy handed one. Yeah.
Do y'all want to just name them? I think that's probably the best way we can do this, right?
Do you think that I say you got to have a top 10 player? I'm going to say that.
Okay. I'm not seeing. You ain't got the 17th best player in the league and you hoisting
up the Larry OB. Doesn't happen. I say, yeah, that doesn't. Yeah.
Sorry. So safely, we could say a top 10 player.
But let's see exactly where we can get to. Okay. Yo, kids, we agree.
Done it before. Shay's done it before. Women Yama. Yep.
I would trust you. Luca Donchitz. Yep. Yannis. Yep. Anthony Edwards. Yep.
Kawaii Leonard. Yep. Steph Curry. Yep. Kay Cunningham. Yep.
Donovan Mitchell. Yep. Jalen Brown. Yeah. Yeah.
Jalen Brunson. Yep. Tyrese Maxie. No.
So he's named Twale. Kevin Durant. Yeah. Yeah. 13.
Jamal Murray. We already got his teammate. Devon Booker. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean,
he's already made to the point. I think it's also it's not you. You do need that top
itch player, but it's also the teams around it though. Yeah. It's in the top 10. Top 10 of 15 is
cool. But again, some of them, we basin off of a few things. We're like, we sang
yet a Donovan Mitchell. He has a hell of a team. So it ain't like sometimes we answered
this and you're just thinking of Donovan Mitchell. But it ain't like Donovan Mitchell
for like carry a full burden of the Cavaliers through. That might be a series he has to
carry. But I think I think most of those names, I wonder how much of that is because we're
in the parody era. Like 10 years ago, do we feel like we had 13 players? It felt no, right?
Maybe because we were so we had so much. Yeah. It was like, I can't do it because those
dudes are doing it. Yeah. For sure. But a lot of those dudes also on the same team.
LeBron and Carrie. Yeah. Kevin Love versus
Steph Clay Dre and then Kevin Durant. Yeah. Yeah. DeMarta Rose and Fightinfez Life.
It would Patrick Patterson. No, no disrespect to Patrick Patterson. But I'm just showing a different
talent level of the teams. That feels like a lot. But we just went through the names and I don't
think I'd disagree with him. I mean, we also, we don't buy Halliburton. Yeah. Absolutely.
He was one game away. He was two quarters away from getting the done. So 14 players. I don't
think Tatum came up because he's also injured. So 15 players. I kind of put Tatum with Brown.
They like, uh, no. Who's team is it?
Stop. That's the right answer. That's the right answer. That's the Twitter beat.
And it's like, Twitter, any SPM. It's like a difference between having a player lead you to a
championship and a player drag you like, when I think draft, I think literally like kind of like
LeBron. Okay. So how many players do you feel like a drag a team to a championship?
Yeah. Like six.
And avial kids. Yeah.
All right. So let's do it. Let's talk about the track. Really only Yokeh.
Really? Remember the name, the term you use KBS drag drag and so on.
Yokeh. Yes. Shade. No. No. Really? I think yes.
I think those guys, I think all three of those guys can drag a team. I haven't seen Shade
drag anything. So, so we're going of this hypothetical. But I don't see Luke a drag.
I think he's in the list. I don't know if it's going to sound like we don't like Shade.
And I love him. And his team is one of the like, I don't know. I don't know.
Yeah, honest.
Yes. Yes. What team is he dragged to the full thing you need to have done it for us to think
that he could do it? I need to see something substantially to make me feel like I can't.
So it's a two person list. It's a two person list. I told you. I feel like six was going to be a lot.
I feel like it's like four. Oh, the four I just hit. Yokeh. Shade. So how would an
Anthony Edwards be on it? I don't think he's got enough playmaking chops to do it yet.
Fuck out of you. When we come back, we got more numbers on the board. Before we go any further,
we want to say thank you to our sponsor of a draft King's fellow. You know, all about draft
King's pick six by now. We pick more or less of different players stats for the upcoming games.
It's a two more different players and see a pick set. Look at some stats. Go more or less.
Sit back, relax and see if you made the right decision. Got a nice slate of games that they
follow. We do. We do. We do. We got the return potentially of a guy like Jason Tatum.
We got the heat versus the hornets, like a little plan preview, potentially. And if the hornets
win, they can tell you to go up. So we got a little slate of games. Oh, and then next versus
nuggets, even though the nuggets are second, I have a back to back. Yeah. You know, good slate.
I think I think we need to come out and punch them in a mouth so that they can rest.
Y'all are favorite about one and a half, which is basically saying that anybody can win this game.
Let's get into today's pick set. I'll start off Cooper Flag more on points on 17 by 17 to
half versus Boston. Cooper Flag is just ridiculous. They had a great loss last night,
where they were in control for most of the game. And then they gave up a window card or game
win or something. You know a little bit about right from last week. And Cooper Flag,
first game back in a little bit of time. Still look pretty good. And he's back at home. Yeah.
And Tatum might be there. I'm saying this is this is it's so good that about three of us try
at the picket. And I just had first dip. So after the game last night, he was like, I grew up watching
Tatum. Oh my God. Yeah. Crazy, right? Because Tatum is only 18. So and so I'm like, I need I need to take
a little flag because he going to come with a chip on the shoulder. That's that's kind of nuts.
And then that is what Tatum Tatum wants to be the next generation version of like Katie,
run and stuff. If I'm a player, I want to be the next Paul George because all the players
was like, that's my goat. That's my brother. That's my brother. Yeah. That's my go Brandon Miller.
Coyon Anthony, like so many guys. That's my goat. That's my goat. That's my go. Would you want to be
the new Paul George? And all right, Derek, you went less on I'm in times of 17 and a half points
versus Portland. Second game of the back to back. I think that it might be a little he might be a
little tired, especially after that tough loss against the Warriors. I just don't I don't have
confidence in the 17 and a half tonight. I mean, you see that you think he going to be tired?
Well, the youngest dude is on the roster. They energize a bunny. Yeah, I think he really get tired.
He might go. Okay, Kevin. We don't we don't really pick less as much on this show. So
it's going to look real bad if he got 30. Hey, do your thing. Okay. There's no, hey, I just don't
feel confident in tonight. Okay. If you get 30, I lose no sleep. I'm still happy. No, yes you do.
Yes, you do because I'm on that tail when it comes to the standards. I'm streaking again.
See what you have a lot like that against the Warriors, too. You usually want that revenge after that.
Like, especially you can't play the Warriors again. So you just got to take the team in front of you.
Maybe you want to check in that K kind of handbox score to make sure you get
one point, K. Just one free throw. Mike Donovan Klingon, 11 and a half rebounds more versus Houston.
Yeah, they're going to need him out there with St. Goon and also just having
Kling Kapela as a backup. They don't need that size up there. And
sometimes the the Rockets offense can get a little stale where they do have a lot of like,
shoot it just missing. He can clean up those rebounds. You're going to be out there deterring them, man.
Y'all kind of working together. If you think about it, we have to do it right now.
Lastly, Pierre Devin Booker, more points 24 and a half versus the Pelicans.
Yeah, I just need you to do what he did to your boys.
Just lose.
The line you read said points. I ain't okay about the wins and losses.
Just go get them points for me. Going a little tear, going a little, you know, 27 now,
tonight get 30 and then get 35 and then just, you know, had that month where we look back like,
man, book average 38 in a month. What a bad loss for them yesterday. Yeah, a lot of bad losses
yesterday. Yeah. All right, when we come back, we'll get back to answering your questions with
fan Friday. For those who haven't checked out draft kicks, pick six yet. There's an exclusive
offer waited for you right now. New draft came customers can play $5 and get $50 and pick six
credits. All you have to do is download the pick six app and use promo code and join when you sign
up. Pick six is available at most states, including Texas, California, Missouri. So don't be afraid to
get in on the action. Brought the upside with six.
All right, so we're going to double back with Shay. He had two really good questions that he submitted.
He said, how much do you value rules like the 4020 top three seed when it all comes down to your
judgment of deciphering a championship team? I don't know. I don't know.
Reversive, but that 4020 is because yeah, he said right here that all the champions except two
since the NBA was formed or top three Cs and meet that qualification. I don't, I've never really
thought about it. Honestly, I know somebody just hated a couple days ago, but I didn't look at him
like, yeah, that's the content. I feel like I'm all I'm just going to determine if you're
content based on the I test, not the actual record of it all. Yeah. So I don't think about those
two things at all. Yeah, honestly, I didn't know about this thing until recently this year. Yeah,
so like the fact that it's actually factual and it's actually works is actually great. Do you know
the two teams that didn't do this? No, I didn't. I'm trying to think who would it be? Who would have
started off the season? It felt like some 70s thing. Yeah, it's probably the things that we probably
didn't watch. And I wonder how much they account for like, is it a percentage thing for like the
lockout year? Right. The COVID year because obviously they didn't play 82 games. But if it keeps
had like, if it happens again this year, there might be something I look at next year a little bit,
just a little bit. Not that I'm aware of it. How many teams meet that right now? The pistons,
the Celtics, uh, the mix, the, no, the next and make it. We did their 40 and 23. Y'all
hit me. I thought you were the team that made it. No, because the rule is what 40 wins before 20
losses. Yeah. Yeah. No, y'all had 22 losses by the time y'all got that 40th win. And then in the
West, it's OKC in the spurs. So we only have four contenders according to that. I don't even have
trouble. I feel like that's too black and white. This might be one of them outliers. Who knows? But I
mean, if history were based on history, Mike, it doesn't seem like an out. Yeah. Like again,
if it somehow some way and those teams do have a good chance of winning the championship, I guess
I'll look at it a little bit more moving forward. But it's not then that I would take into
that's end all be all saying. Yeah. I'm sorry. The Celtics don't even count.
When they got their 40th win, they had already had 20 losses. They were, they were
39 and 20. Oh. So they did. So it was really three teams. The pistons, the spurs and the thunder.
Really? Apparently next, uh, I don't know, 20 to 20. We'll, we'll check back in three months. We'll
see if this is still staying. But I, uh, feels like a weird year for this next question is for Isaac.
He said, if you could take any non championship team from a 2000s or 2010s and add them to this
era, who would it be? Add them to this era. So am I, am I getting those players to adjust to
this era a little bit? Yeah. Well, maybe you've seen a team from that era that maybe didn't fit,
but now they will fit more in this era. Are we taking the old team? Like, I thought about just like
lob city clippers or whatever we can replace them. Are we taking the old clippers out or the new
clippers in? Oh, yeah. Let's get rid of the clippers, man. I'll give you some other teams.
We got some teams that's trying to lose right now. Yeah. No, that team would like the space in
that would happen. It would be pretty dope. I was thinking about their Orlando Magic team that
got to the finals because they were one of the few teams to run like a traditional three as a four
and shoot a bunch of threes. And now we increased their volume to match 2026 standards. They
probably even better with the White Howard down low. Um, seven seconds or less. That's
to see Stephen as shoot your team more shots. I just like Steve Nash on the broadcast year last
night. I thought he was really good at like breaking down what both teams are thinking off. You know
what? Just from like a, uh, a fun standpoint. I would like to see just how dad, Miami heat team
from back in the day with Broadway didn't Bosch would just deck up against NBA today.
It's just they felt like they were kind of running the lead. Obviously they had they they problems
in the finals with everybody. I think they run. They think they run it again. I would just love
to see one of these kind of that's like how many teams that kind of stack up a good time for
this to be from from he might average 35 38 like he going to be nuts. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, it ain't
nothing. With his face and two. Yeah, this face. Yeah. Shane. I don't think he need his face.
He was his windows to everybody. Yeah. That's that's a good one though. Uh, this is from Flat
Bush. He said, what's an NBA team, um, of all time that you have so much hope for coming
into the season that just completely feel flat. Probably those live city club. Not that they
feel flagged. They had injuries. But I used to think that those teams is going to like go to the
finals at the least. Yeah. At the least, I thought the live city Clippers was going to go to a
finals or something. I thought when the net's got been Simmons. I thought that it was. I thought
it was GG's man. I thought Katie, Carrie, Ben Simmons. Um, I'm just gonna go to you before that,
Derek. I'm sorry. That team with James Hard to carry in Kevin. It makes no sense. They had
what one playoff series wins together. It was this close. And so that that's got to be the answer.
That's like foot on the line because they had, I think that one of their first games playing
completely together was against the Bulls. And that was when the Bulls had the great start to the
season. And they smoked them at the United Center. And they they generate an open look after
open look after open look, three offensive juggernauts. And then obviously they didn't go anywhere.
But that that's got to be the one man. Yeah. That team had potential to win two three
championships in my mind. I'm thinking back to that Philly team where Kauai hit the shot
over them because they had a stack team with Jimmy, uh, Jolombie, Toby. They had JJ Redick. They
like, they had a stack team that year. And then also I was probably thinking about just one of
those rocket teams that never really got over them, but they got super close. I don't know how high
we were or just be specifically on the small ball team and how we thought that was going to win.
But James Harden was just such a good player. You thought he would give over the hunt at least once
if he did it. But it's also funny that we had two teams that had James Harden on him.
Hey, and I wasn't saying about James. When they got, he was almost there. I thought it was,
I thought it was going to be like another level on that team was still really good. But like,
he got hurt in the conference finals when he was playing a Warriors. And like,
it's just so unfortunate that he got hurt. And then they go in that crazy shooting streak.
What he missed 27 straight 3s. And you just know if Chris Paul is on a court. He's helping
alleviate a lot of that. He would have gotten a mid-range bucket wouldn't he though? Yeah.
Yeah, he got on some. No, he would have definitely gotten something else.
Give us some Chris Paul. This was from Shaq. He said, what's the,
what's a unique talent that you value the most in a player, not basic things like dribbling and shooting?
You say unique talent? Yeah. It's not unique. But like, I hate
and I don't know how to explain it. I like the players that think things through.
Yeah. Like, I can't, IQ is not unique. Everybody has IQ. But like,
like the dear whites of the world just feel like they're thinking two steps ahead of the Yoke.
Like those type of players always some of my favorites.
Whatever you love Chris Paul. That's why I love Chris Paul.
Chris Paul was always two steps ahead of the defense.
Mm-hmm. And two steps ahead of the refs too.
Yeah, to go into like, to add on to that. It's kind of like, feel for the game.
But yeah, I don't think that's unique. But I like, I like players that just play,
you could tell, play off natural instinct and just make natural basketball plays. And
it's, it's like, that's just how you play it. You know what I'm saying? It's, it's not hard.
It's like, it's supposed to be a simple fun. Children's basketball game in the day.
Just go out there and have fun. And I think you'll see a lot of these players that just kind of like
can do the natural way. I just enjoy watching it that way.
I love a big, they can run the floor and see what a smaller defenders are early.
I think that's one of those things that kind of just, because now you just
didn't create it two different mismatches. We're not a other pose and big.
It's now going to perimeter player. And now you've got a small loan.
You're not a defense. It's really like already in scrambles.
If you get your job job done early, you kind of already put a defense in a pigeonhole
that would, they got to kind of make some happen.
I like that answer. I got, I got one actually.
I like the talent for players that don't really get rotational minutes at all.
They'll go 20 games without playing. And then they'll come in and have like 10, 15 minutes to
like really good impact. You're like, damn, where has he been? And it's like, they might not
play the next 15, 20 games, but they're always ready. I love those things.
That's James and battle. James and battle don't play a lot. But when James and battle
play, he gonna, he gonna torch it. He gonna let it fly. This one from Inspector,
you said if you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Thank you. Are we out of the basketball talk?
We could be. Okay. If I could change one thing about myself,
I think I'm just awkward in front of like new people and groups of people.
I wish I was, I guess, more personable when it comes to meeting people.
Pierre is very like good with that. He's like the ultimate, like,
he just make everybody feel comfortable.
He would have wanted to feel comfortable.
Some people don't like it. I'm working on a joke, break ice, and some people are like
offended by it. So I went to the office up the, the eye doctor yesterday.
Yeah. So I was, I was trying to practice that.
That's what you do. I think I did good. I also think I got a lot of sympathy labs from,
from the nurse or whatever she was. She was watching me put context in for 30 minutes.
I'm wearing glasses today. So you know, I failed at putting the context in.
But I, I'm trying, I'm not that kind of guy either.
I, you know, what I was just, the reason why I was trying to get context,
just for shoot days, because sometimes I watched the videos back and the glare
was coming off my glasses. So I would just put them in for that.
We shot with six six. I mean, NBA. I don't think you would be any of
you. I mean, you could get me surgery.
I could. I could. I would love to see that.
We only got about 10 seconds left in the block, but I wouldn't change anything by myself.
Boom. I'm perfect.
Has anybody said anything else? I'm like, I wish I was six inches shorter.
Right. Probably. I was five five. Somebody out there got to wish they was a little bit short.
Boba. We'll be back with more numbers on the board.
Videos. No. Got to cut you all baby.
Come here. I mean, you didn't answer.
Kalas question. What would you change about yourself?
Oh, I'm probably being more consistent at the gym.
I feel like it's a real trade of that.
I feel like what you mean, what's the real trade?
Like because you see he said he'd be taller. He said he'd be like
sociable, I guess. Yeah. There's a trait inside of being more consistent in gym.
Is that just being disciplined? Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Being more disciplined and just being a
leaner. I mean, I feel like we go shopping. I can't just go shopping.
Like you and KB and Mike, I got to order my stuff online most of the time.
So like a lot of the stores that y'all go shopping and they're not going to have my size.
You said you said in a little extra, but I feel you.
Because there's definitely stores you go into.
Because I've seen some videos with some people that was shopping.
Yeah. And they really like, they ain't no chance that they can get anything.
Yeah. But I feel you. Yeah. You go to H&M.
They got all I can barely fancy an agent. That's all all some size.
All some size. Yeah. I had lost like 60 and I was a Zara.
And I'm thinking like, I could actually I could actually go shopping as Zara.
Yeah. Nope. Yeah. But I was.
But I was that I let you know like bro, I was looking too crazy.
Walked in a double. Yeah. And it's crazy.
They saw me in my smalls.
But I was that I let you know like I don't even bad jeans from Zara.
Because it's like it's getting sad only.
I wouldn't even bad jeans from Zara. And I could fit everything in there.
But it was even like the tops and stuff. I'm putting stuff on.
And I'm like, there's a two X this little little.
Yeah. I don't know.
One thing I could change about myself.
I would probably say just I'm trying to figure out the trait because you said discipline
and sociable. You said taller.
Taller. So so. Yeah. I would be six six.
You feel sure it's my short. No, no.
I'm not sure. No more height of a man.
What it was. I actually know you're like you consider the above average.
I think the average man is like five six.
You're considered above average average.
average America's like five nine.
I wish I was able to control my sweet tooth as you know more like I feel like my sweet tooth.
When I have a team, I have a team.
But when it get going bro.
It get going. Yeah, I feel you.
Bro, I'd be like, oh shit.
Like you just ran through that.
Like that you should you should slow down.
Two cookies turn to seven.
Vernor. I got that for real.
I've been really trying to avoid sugar.
But I like cookies probably might might like
the thing I just can't go without.
I feel like there was like.
There was like a pack of cookies and I ain't like one or two.
It's something like six or eight cookies in the whole like little pack.
Ain't like one or two.
And at a time like I kind of come back again.
I'll just be looking at it and I'll grab another one.
But it's just it's so easy to just grab that cookie.
But it does nothing for you.
Health wise, it's just so bad.
It got so bad for me.
It does.
That when we came back from all star,
I was like, I'm not touching anything fried or sweet until my birthday.
So yesterday, I was able to give my free nothing but cake for my birthday.
I took a hole in that thing.
Do they ask me to eat?
They didn't ask for nothing.
I had everything ready.
I'm like, it's my birthday.
Let's get my name.
And girl's like, oh, what flavor you want?
I was like already available.
And I had my phone.
She never asked to see it anything.
But they sent me an email like, don't forget to come get your free birthday.
Bunk cake.
But yeah, you know, I go to pop belly.
I smack to it.
I was cookies.
I get it.
Which cookies?
Those old meal chocolate chips.
Old meal chocolate chips.
I smack those.
And especially the many ones.
The many.
Oh, thank you.
You know, packets well.
I thought I was sheeting the game.
But like, I'll get some minis.
They're not.
I crushed that.
I'm like, dang, I gotta slow down.
I didn't finish the bunk cake yesterday.
So I was happy.
What should I go to for the bunk cake?
Gotta be careful.
Red velvet.
Red velvet.
They had a Oreo one.
The Oreo is good.
They had a fish golf.
Oh, yeah, you did tell me about that one.
Fish golf.
I would pop you upside your head for one right now.
But yeah, just tell me my sweet tooth, man.
Because we get older.
But like, my sweet tooth's so bad, I'd be working out like I.
Like, yeah.
I can afford that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So every night I've been I've been maxing out my pushups
because that 25 we kept talking about.
No, I'm I'm just clearing that.
I just hit 35.
Okay.
So now I'm like, huh?
It's where right now if it was good content.
But like, I don't want to stop the show to get 25.
I normally hit.
I'm trying to hit 30 now.
I want to know that every time I drop down, I got 30 in me.
I know I got 25 now.
But yesterday, yesterday I ended the night with 31.
The night before was 35.
So I'm trying to figure out where is my consistent median in that.
But if I keep going, it's going to be a time
where I dropped out, it can get 50.
Are y'all going to be a type of appearance that raise your kids?
And to see how long you could beat them in a race?
No.
No.
How long could beat them?
I want to beat you in basketball.
Yeah, I don't know if my kids will ever be faster than me.
Really?
You fast?
Who do you think the fastest person in his room just based off?
I test.
I think I am.
Really?
You don't think there's no way there could be a race?
Oh, he could.
I think it's a world, but I still think I'm the fastest in the world.
No, when you say I'm the fastest, I think I'm the fastest.
You think you could be KB in a race?
Yeah.
Okay.
I don't know how fast Christian is.
Christian has such an athletic beat.
I don't know.
He looked like he got, he got endurance, but maybe not that burst.
He don't got the speed.
Yeah, yeah, we say race.
We're doing like a forward just going right up.
Yeah, I'm faster than that.
That whole running motion to him.
Yeah, I'm faster than that.
I also have a rand full speed and maybe two years.
So I don't know if my system is on track team.
Well, you never just burst out of speed.
Randomly to see how fast if you still got it.
Nope.
I sound like a torn ACL way to do it sometimes.
Speed is different.
If I take the garbage out,
it's a little walk back to my part.
You have hard men, I'll run like it.
I'll run it real quick.
Oh, yeah.
You're going to come in with a brace one day.
We're like, what happened, bro?
Yeah, I was running the garbage out.
I just, I do the same.
I mean, it's like it's like, I don't know.
Now, you know, when I used to do the 40 feet,
you're in my old apartment.
They had like them coyotes in the garbage can.
I used to just throw throw the garbage over the time it's just getting out of it.
I was parking lots to be running in,
but I know my neighbors and stuff probably think I'm crazy.
Really, when it's the summer,
I'll walk penny and we'll burst out in the spring.
Just something she can run.
I just want to see how fast she can be.
And keeping up with her,
we have my lungs pumping.
I ain't going live.
And you have my lungs pumping.
My sister is on a track team,
which I think me and Christian are idiots, by the way.
Christian wanted me to come to a Northwestern game
versus Purdue.
Shout to Nick Martin, Ellie, it was a senior night.
And I wanted to go,
but I hadn't been able to reach one of my sister's track meets.
So we was talking,
and I'm like,
yeah, maybe I'll be able to leave the track meet
when it's done and go straight to the game.
May not track me into that 830.
Yeah, track meet is not long.
I didn't know how long it was till my knees got it.
Yeah, I mean, Christian is crazy for thinking I was going to be able to come here
and interact all the way to Estadvistan.
But I said all that to say,
those kids in S.O. Fest,
you kind of forget the speed needed in track.
Yeah, yeah.
One girl beat everybody by almost a minute.
Oh my God.
It was a white girl that ran all the way through.
Is she ran through?
You have to run through.
Yeah.
So she ran through,
and she was walking back by the time the person finished.
That's endurance and speed, right?
She knew them.
Yeah, I couldn't do that.
This was from Fresh Class.
He said,
shout out Fresh Class.
Shout out Fresh Class,
and we want to send love to Fresh Class.
Fresh Class,
hit me up,
he was going through some things.
And I want the community to continue to show him love,
wrap the arms around us.
A shout out to my God, man.
I'll shout out to you.
In this question, he said,
in the hardest point of your life,
how did you get past that story?
Take a day by day.
There was a time maybe a year or two ago,
where my anxiety was so crazy
that coming to work was a chore.
And I didn't do anything special.
I mean, digging on meds for a little bit,
that wasn't for me.
I just took a day by day,
and eventually it simmered down.
And now I feel like I'm in the best headspace of my life.
I would agree with KB.
One of the things I've learned recently
over the last few years or whatnot,
is to just kind of take my emotion and embrace it.
I think we can't run away from emotions.
They're so natural.
That's why people used to say to me,
like, man, you're emotional.
And I used to be like,
no, I'm not.
But I am emotional,
because I'm a human.
Like, everybody's emotional.
Yeah.
It's where you said it best.
Big emotions are okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Just got to embrace it accepted.
And I think the more we embrace
feelings, emotions,
the easier it is for the next time we got to go through things.
So the next time I have to face some type of adversity
or emotion,
I'm a little bit more comfortable handling it.
Because the last previous time,
I didn't run from it.
And so every time I go through,
I have that experience and confidence that I can get through.
So I'm like going on walks.
Yeah.
I go along.
I used to go on long walks
and just put on my headphones.
And I look at my Apple Watch at the end of it,
be like, you don't walk five miles.
And I'm like,
yeah, I mean,
part of it is the exercise.
And then the sun, man.
Like I was, I was vitamin D deficient.
And that probably was one of the reasons
why my mental health was so bad.
Oh, yeah.
I read a whole book by a dude named Oso and Emotions.
He said a lot of people with,
lives would change.
If the minute they got angry,
they went outside and ran around a tree three times.
He said a lot of people,
you see disasters or you see like,
some crazy stuff in the news.
But if that person took that anger
and just ran out around a tree four or five times,
they'll just be so tired that it'll release
and they'll just plumb it down.
And you won't even be as mad.
Yeah.
So we're gonna do that.
We got more numbers on the board coming up.
Stay tuned.
This one's from Gavin.
This one hit home for a lot of people, man.
He said, what was your mom's favorite thing
that she cooked growing up?
What was your favorite thing that your mom cooked growing up?
It's not going to hit home.
My mom never cooked me anything.
Well, for you, your pops, your pops is the cook.
My dad is a cook.
But when I live with my mom,
we also live with my grandma.
So grandma was the one that was making dinners every night.
The one thing I know my mom can make.
And she gonna hate me because she might see this.
She decent at a taco or two.
She gonna hate that I say decent and not great.
But taco is just brown and some meat and put some sauce in.
You know what I mean?
Like, I don't think you get a ton of credit
for making decent tacos.
Yeah.
I don't know.
My tacos, they taste different.
They taste different.
I don't know where to start.
I don't want to say this because it's my mom.
But I feel like my mom got a lot of things that I love
and I grew up on.
And because obviously, I don't live with her no more.
I don't have it as much.
But my mom does do a good job of letting me know
when she's making something.
My mom made good pepper steak.
My mom make pepper steak in a long time.
Incredible fried chicken.
She has pride in her fried chicken.
And she does its thing with the rice
where she cooks it in chicken broth.
That's what I do.
That I grew up on.
So to the point where, yeah, like today,
my mama barbecue, because I went to the crib and was like,
like, what do you want to do with your birthday?
Cook or you cook something.
I don't need much.
I come to throw some stuff on the barbecue
because I had no barbecue in a minute.
But yeah, my mom make a lot of good things.
My mom used to make sub sandwiches.
Like make our own subway.
Ain't nothing better than a mom sandwich.
Yeah, come on.
What they do differently?
The love.
It's the love.
Just the visual look of it looks so different.
Yeah, you can make the same sandwich as your mom.
You don't got no love.
And then get the love.
But some reason it just tasted it.
I hate seafood.
My mom make fish.
Like I eat catfish because my mom cook fish.
My mom make pork chops that I grew up on.
And I love.
I would never, you would never go to a restaurant.
I'm like, let me get some pork chops.
That's your mama.
Yeah, so it's like, it's different.
Pot roasts and different things.
Stuff that I would never, ever order at places.
My mom cook and I eat it.
My step mom went to culinary school.
So she had that on low.
No, the dad I would say is a little different.
Because I would go to his dad house when he was young.
No, no, no, no, no.
Younger.
And yeah, I never forget.
She'd like made some hot wings that I was like,
for I feel like we had a bar.
Yeah, it's like these catered.
Like no, they was like real like because,
you know, people anybody can make some hot wings.
But she let me know like I made these.
Yeah.
I'm thinking she throwing something in the oven.
No, she made it.
I got a lot of respect for people that do stuff like this.
It's so easy to like take the easy way
out for dinners.
She never did.
It was like we was trying new stuff.
I think she was just trying to hone in on her craft,
obviously.
But it made me think about she made this German chocolate cake
once a month ago before my knowledge.
She was bad.
And it was like the best.
Yeah, that allergy.
Yeah, do you have a knife?
German chocolate cake is a hit.
I never had German chocolate cake.
What is so nutty about it?
It's got not I don't know what kind of what kind of nut
are in it.
I don't know.
I don't know.
It's coconut flakes on it.
But I don't know.
But it's just like it's such a spongy cake.
Yeah.
But it do got some hints of like crunchiness
because of what happens.
So I'm just like shout out to Sean.
I mean, we got the restaurant now.
I'm part of this because that's why I want to go
and get the desserts because I think you're
dead.
Tell me she makes it.
She does the desserts.
Yeah.
We don't got them every day though.
I'm going to be too crazy.
It's all you know,
possibly too so crazy there.
I'm allergic to bananas.
And I think on Thanksgiving,
I still told my mom and my auntie,
like I want some of their banana pudding.
They have banana pudding.
They've been to high risk it.
But with the banana,
the banana doesn't hit me.
It hit me in that flavor.
It doesn't hit me.
Maybe it's cooked out of it.
Maybe something that's in there.
It's cooked out of it from being baked.
That's how grandma is.
She can't drink dairy.
Yeah.
But she can have things if the dairy
is ended if it's cooked the right way.
And it's funny you mentioned that
because like two or three days ago,
I had some breakfast.
And I was like, man,
I could really go for some of that right.
I haven't had that rice in about 15 years.
That morning rice.
Mm-hmm.
That stuff was there.
I saw him play some of that.
That's the only person that made it.
My mama didn't cook rice.
I'm gonna call her later today.
I ain't talking to her in a couple of weeks.
My mama grits.
My mama grits.
My mama grits, boy.
Them grits, man.
Stop playing with demils.
My mama grits so good.
I, man,
when I was going through my stomach,
