Voice of your business.
Jones and Keith live at Jake and Joe's in Wilburne, a good spot to watch the game, stop
by and say hello.
Like our friend, Manette did over here, I went to shake his hand, Keith.
Did you spike his water?
No, no, no.
I went to shake his hand.
I knocked over the water.
So it's a big mess.
Shout out.
Shout out to Manette for coming out.
I see Steve.
Steve.
Steve over.
Steve over.
Steve over.
Steve over at the bar.
Steve over.
Steve over at the bar.
Johnny's fan who we were talking to earlier today, he complimented your shoes, Keith.
Love my shoes.
Now is it shoes?
Is it a compliment?
Yeah.
Well, yeah.
But he blew right past the jersey.
I feel like a lot of people are going to go pulp ears.
I feel like that was kind of a sneaky shot at your jersey.
I think he liked the shoes.
I've gotten a lot of compliments on my shoes.
Have you?
Have you?
I heard the one.
You've gotten a lot of them.
So did I tell you, once I was at the grocery store and I was wearing like a different
pair of Jordans and I was just walking around and some guy stopped me in the aisle and
he's like, hey, I'm like, hey, he goes.
Where'd you get those?
Really?
When I get the shoes, oh my god.
I think I ordered them online.
I was like, those are really nice.
Really?
Yeah, he's like, no, he goes, do you play basketball on those?
No, I just kind of wear them here.
He's like, I wouldn't wear them around.
He's like, was that serious?
He's like, I wouldn't just wear them around.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I'm wearing the grocery store.
I don't really do anything active.
Yeah.
This is the most active I am.
So I got them on.
Yeah, he was very, he liked the shoes, but he was really like mad that I was wearing them
out.
He's got to be a nice feeling.
I've never had one person in my life.
Yeah, we're all hornfrogs.
That's, I love that.
The rock frogs are looking good.
They are looking sharp.
I will, I will tell you.
You don't care about shoes.
No, no.
Well, I don't, but I would, but it'd be a nice feeling, I think, for somebody to be like, hey.
Yeah.
Where'd you get those?
I get that every once in a while.
I don't think that's ever happened to me in my life.
Look at all these.
Oh, these little things?
Yeah.
Yeah.
These aren't even my good pair.
These are my groceries.
These are my outdoor pair.
Pretty good, though.
So anyway, that was, well, some of what's gone on here at Jake and Joe's.
I'll keep my Italian arms waving around away from everybody's water.
But you won the three to one bet.
So you're excited about that.
I'm surprised I didn't knock over everybody's water when I won that.
But yes, no, I did.
I did cash on that three to bet.
Ref set my backs.
Oh, they're missing some bunnies here.
TV is missing a lot of bunnies.
That's all right.
Hornfrog's looking good.
Doubling up Ohio State early.
They missed three shots from a foot away.
In a row.
They're out playing them.
That's all right.
Don't worry about it, Keith.
So we got all our thoughts on the bracket here again.
If you want to get in and go on the clock, you can.
In 30 seconds.
617-779.
793-7.
Jones and Keith bracket live.
At Jones and Keith, we have slipknot and tool.
Yeah, big one.
With a birth in the elite eight on the line.
That is one of two matchups here today.
In the Jones and Keith March Madness 1990 slash early 2000s.
Heavy metal, new metal grunge.
Alternative pop punk, butt rock, and rock bands bracket.
System of doubt is matched up again.
Slinker park.
Yeah, there's our other one.
Another good one.
Another very good one.
Those are live at Jones and Keith.
Metallica and Corn have punched their tickets through to the elite eight.
That was yesterday voting when final earlier today.
It happens all month long here on Jones and Keith.
I mentioned this earlier, Keith, with Porzingis and Horford.
And even Drew Holiday.
And we're just thinking about it because Horford and Porzingis were back last night.
Porzingis was back against the Celtics.
The Warriors were playing.
Shockingly, Porzingis did play.
Yeah, no, it's true.
Yeah, Horford did not.
And it gets you thinking, all right, they haven't missed those guys to this point.
I do think of the Tim Bontem story from a month or so ago, whatever it was, where he said,
I spoke to a coach or a GM or whoever it was who said, well, yeah, the Celtics are playing hard now.
And they're giving their best every night, become the postseason, everybody's giving their best.
Are the Celtics going to miss guys like Porzingis and Horford and Holiday in the postseason
because to this point, they haven't missed them at all.
I think the only time that you would would be the postseason, and that's not even a shot at those guys.
It was just like sort of where they were a year ago, and then what you even expected out of them this year.
Porzingis, unfortunately, for him in and out of the lineup.
And he probably will be for the rest of his career.
I mean, this year he's played like 22 games, 23 games, something like that.
And he's been on two different teams.
Can't rely on him.
Horford, we even saw him last year really breaking down.
I didn't think you were going to get great return on investment for those guys.
Drew Holiday though, a little bit different, where you're like, he is like a coach on the floor and like a calming influence.
But I think that might be outweighed by the fact that Tatum, Brown, Pritchard and White have so much more experience now.
And then they did two years ago.
So two years ago, and they won the title, I don't think you won the title without Drew Holiday.
And I agree, I think, I think Holiday is going to show up where they miss him in the postseason.
And I think maybe even Horford to a degree.
But now it's like, look at all the other teams in the East who has, they don't really.
There's not like some team where you go, oh my gosh, that is a champion with, you know, championship medal.
I respect the next postseason pedigree.
I do, they beat the Celtics a year ago.
Yeah, you have to.
They won playoff rounds at least the last couple of years.
They were in the Eastern Conference Final a year ago.
I respect the next playoff pedigree.
But it's not like they're champions and they've been there and done that.
They're not that team.
But, and also going back to the Drew Holiday point, the next beat the Celtics with Drew Holiday for every game.
Good point.
And so that's a great point.
So Detroit has no playoff experience, hardly, meaning like going on a run, they have none.
No, no.
You know, I don't respect.
Well, Harden, you know, James Harden, that kind of hurts the cast.
I thought, Terba immediately corrected me.
I thought Mitchell had gotten to a Western Conference Final with the jazz, wrong.
So he's won like around in Utah.
You can Robinson.
If you want to count him as on the pistons and he's been on those heat teams that were there,
but like he's not like the lead guy.
Yeah.
So like I go to like Miami with Spulstro, I guess, and like Bam out of bio and hero and like,
but those guys still, they have one.
No.
They didn't.
I mean, the guys who have won.
So like, all right, do they miss holiday?
Maybe a little bit in the postseason.
They have way more of a big game pedigree than anyone left in the East is not even close.
So even if they missed those guys a little bit,
they're already in a way better spot than any other team when it comes to championship pedigree,
championship medal, been there, done that.
They have four guys who played prominently.
Three guys especially who played prominently out of championship team.
And if you want to count Pritchard, it's four.
I think Pritchard's a good point because now you feel even better about him on the floor.
Like you're not like looking to get him off where it seemed like a couple of years ago,
he would have runs.
He'd hit some big shots, but then teams would go out of him defensively and you're like,
all right, you got to get him.
I get you holiday back in there.
Now between white and Pritchard and then obviously Brown and Tatum are going to have the ball in their hands a lot.
I think you're good.
Like I, not that true holiday wouldn't be a helpful player on this team,
but I don't think we're going to, if they get eliminated early,
I don't think that's going to be the reason why.
You're not going to be like, oh, if only they had held onto him.
I think the roster fits really well together.
We're talking Red Sox earlier.
Doesn't not fit great together.
No.
This one really, especially the way Tatum is playing in his games back,
they compliment each other.
Everybody kind of knows what they are.
And if they get Moose of itch back, that's sort of a big if and what he looks like when he comes back.
But then they're even better because now you have a real big guy coming off the bench.
I know Luca Garza was good the other night, or last night,
but I don't want to rely on that in the playoffs.
No.
Moose of itch is there, then I think they're kind of cooking with gas.
This is a perfect run for Garza.
Yeah.
Moose of itch is out.
Play him down the stretch.
It's March.
It's April basketball.
But in the playoffs, I agree.
You want Moose of itch.
You want Moose of itch, who in fairness, I mean, he's never gone on any type of playoff run,
but that's when he was arguably the best player on Orlando or one of the best players on Chicago.
Yeah.
He's now at these bench-piece.
And so that's like a luxury bench-piece.
When you have Moose of itch and Richard on your bench, that's a good bench.

Voice of your business.
Yeah.
And it's funny because we came back with the sound from the broadcast last night,
I drew in scale, talking about how all the leaks taken notice.
Yeah, I would say they'd better be.
Like, if they weren't before, I mean, even when they, as soon as Tatum came back,
I feel like that conversation happened because you were like,
it was a slow start in that Dallas game, but by the second half of Dallas,
and then the whole Cleveland game, you're like, oh, I feel like the odds shifted even after that cabs game.
I agree.
Right.
Oh, they might have been the favorite of the co-favorite, and then they waxed Cleveland.
Oh, boy.
The final score might have been like, fake close, but that was not a close game.
No, it's smoked Cleveland.
No, they dominated it.
And that was another team that was getting even more respect than Detroit and New York.
People liked Cleveland.
And then you saw, and that was only the second game for real.
It really makes no sense.
Yeah, James Hardin and now people are like, I'm in on Cleveland.
Like, Hardin is a player.
I like Mitchell and Mobley, though.
But I feel like, yeah, Hardin's going to take off the table.
I love Mitchell, but like, in fairness, I feel a little bit the way I talk about Don of the Mitchell
is like the way I talked about Butler or even Lillard, where I'm like, these guys are killers.
None of them have ever won.
No.
Like, they all terrify me in a big game.
Right.
You know, Lillard used to, I mean, we're talking about it.
Oh, I understand.
I'm Lillard then right now.
I think it would be a three-point concept.
Yeah, Butler is hard right now.
I'm saying in general, like, when the Celtics would run into those guys in the postseason.
Oh, is there a guy like that in the...
Those guys are killers.
In the East, I don't know.
I think Cunningham could be, but we haven't really seen it in the playoffs yet.
Right.
But he has the claps long.
But I'd allow for a more from Detroit, who's never done it.
But that's really the only flaw I see with Detroit.
Yeah.
Whereas, like, Hardin's had an opportunity to do it a million times.
He's never done it.
Even a couple of years ago against the Celtics, it was he had one unbelievable game.
And then he had like three horrible games.
It's true.
It's true.
It's easy to win you a game.
He's either vanishing.
Yeah.
Or he has like a great game.
Yeah, I think he had a couple of really good games.
Did he win him a game with like a...
Yeah.
A late shot and then he had another game where he went off.
Maybe he had two, but then he also like, really took it the way.
It's true.
Kelly and Amherst always loves talking Celtics.
Go ahead, Kelly.
Gentlemen, I'm loving the live show.
You're sounding really good.
We do.
The only thing that I don't think sounds good is the dismissive tone towards Luca Garza.
I fully will admit.
He's not...
He's not playoff proven.
But I just want to make one point.
In 2022, including Drew Holiday...
I'm sorry, 2024, including Drew Holiday.
Almost everything we've got in that team was having their best year like pretty much ever of shooting the three.
And then they kind of came off of that.
It's just kind of the stars of the line.
Luca Garza is shooting the three like it's 2024.
I like them in there.
That's all I got.
Okay.
But he's not going to get...
I don't think he's going to get any playoff minutes.
Playoff.
I mean, I don't...
He's getting any playoff burn.
I hope not.
I would hope not.
Either an injury happened or it's a blowout one way or the other if he's getting playoff.
But look, so what do you...
I always want to play less guys than they end up playing.
Yeah.
So let's say they even go to nine right in the ninth guy plays very little.
So your starters last night were White, Brown, Tatum, House, or Cata.
So those five.
Yep.
Peyton, Pritchard, six.
Then hopefully Vousavitch back.
Yep.
Seven.
Probably Shireman, eight.
I would say Shireman, you go.
And Walsh is out.
That's what I would say.
Okay.
And Garza loves out.
Yeah.
Garza loves out.
Yeah.
You go out.
Yeah.
It was a little...
A little splash of Ron Harbor.
That wouldn't be bad.
Junior.
Junior.
I would probably take senior.
I would probably take senior.
Right now.
You want a champion, a champion.
Yeah, I do.
That's how you get it.
He'll win you three straight.
Yeah.
He absolutely will.
One quick thought of the tournament, Keith.
Hornfrogs came out hot.
What happened to the frogs?
Well, there's a lot.
14-13.
But it's tightening up a little bit.
Man.
Basketball is a game of runs, Turk.
I don't know if anybody's ever said that.
Basketball is a game of runs.
That's a good take.
Right now, Ohio State's on a bit of a run.
We're all Hornfrogs here today at Jake and Joe's in Wuber.
I do think, and I said this earlier, I think all four of these early games,
I think all the underdogs have a shot.
Now, TCU is barely an underdog or two-and-a-half point underdog, whatever it is.
Eight-nine game.
I think Troy has a real shot against Nebraska.
Yeah.
I think South Florida, like the whole country, I think, is picking South Florida.
That opened it like...
Oh, yeah.
Six-and-a-half?
Four-and-a-half, now, right now.
It's got...
No, I'm saying.
It moved like two-point.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
That has to do...
I think Louisville might be without their best player.
Mm-hmm.
And then I think high-point against Wisconsin.
I think those first four games, then it might start to peter out a little bit after that.
I think the first four games we got live dogs, which is a great time.
Oh, I hear him barking.
All of those tips here while we're at Jake and Joe's in Wuber.
So stop by, say hello.
If you're here, and you came out because of us, stop by and say hello.
We're happy to talk to everybody over here.
I'll try not to knock your water out of your hands.
No promises.
As a mad look, I'm not pledging to it.
But we'll do our best to not do that.
So stop by, say hello.
We'd love to see you and drink in some college hoops here at Jake and Joe's in Wuber.
Coming up next...
It's always a fun time, Keith, when we have Keifer Madness, but it's more fun.
Oh, yeah.
When it is a live Keifer Madness, stay tuned for it next.
