Suppose you and a good friend went to a foreign country and you committed a crime for which you were sentenced to death. And your friend said, “NO! I love you too much to allow that!” And your friend went to that death, and died horribly because of what you did. Would you live differently after that? Over 2000 years ago God sent his Son to live a perfect life, and yet die for the things that you did. That’s not just history. That’s reality, and you have to make a decision how you are going to live. Will you accept your friend’s sacrifice as full payment for what you’ve done? On this Christmas Day, why not just ask God to forgive your sins and accept his Son Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior? How fitting a day this will be to change your life.
