Jones and Keith. Jones and Keith. WWE. Fourth and final hour of Jones and Keith, WWE Ive Mego is in for Jones today. Thanks to Mike on Wenu, who just joined us here on a Patriots Friday. Joining us now is a special team's coordinator, Jeremy Springer, as our coordinator series is back this year. Jeremy, how are you? I'm doing great, man. You said Friday and to me, it's like a Tuesday, so that's a little different feel today than it usually is. It's funny. Robert Spalain was on the morning show and he said the exact same things. Do you guys have had to sort of change your calendars around a little bit, huh, for the game on Wednesday? Yeah, yeah, exactly. So I'm just glad you guys got me out of the office. I'm walking outside right now so I get a little break from the office. I'm good. Very good. How's the preparation? How do you think training camp went? You know, it was it was good, man. We got a lot of new guys in like it is every year with the Christian and new signings and things like that. And you know, just the buy-in from the culture standpoint of last year and getting some of the same guy looks blamed back and

and haul in some of the guys that just been here and just been working more than Moses. So it's been good. It's been good. We're going to be tested week one. But I'm excited, man. It's going to be fun. A fun, a fun visit, a fun game and I kind of be more excited to open up a few of that way. Jeremy, we've heard you talk a lot about how with special teams players, sometimes the best thing for you is to see them kind of graduate to offensive defense reps. When you look at Elijah Ponder, how excited are you for him and his opportunity on the defense this year? I'm so excited for him, man. I mean, it's just the journey that he had from last year. I mean, just being a four-core guy, I mean, took every special team rep. I mean, I kind of felt bad for him because he just was dog tired every time he did every rep. But then the long run towards the playoffs, he's like that. He just grew up and since then, man, I just matured matured and he's a professional in every step of the way. And I hope he balls out for us. That's going to be good for us on special teams if he's balling out and I'm going to be more excited for him.

Oh, is he incredibly smart because I was talking to him and apparently he was an architectural engineer major at Paul Polly. She's. Yeah. So the thing was Ponder, he doesn't talk a lot. Very quiet. I mean, you don't see any emotion. You don't see any excitement. You really don't see any sadness or anger. He just like, he looks at you. He listens and he's just grasping. And he's one of those guys. And I've noticed this from Coach in college for a long time and now in the NFL. Like, they're really, really good players in the league. They see it one time or they make the mistake. And the next time, they don't make the mistake again. And he's like to put him in that. Like, he'll make a mistake and he won't ever do it again. Or he'll see something in the meeting room or walk do it. And then he's good. He doesn't need much reps at it. So it's those guys right there that I just feel like they're able to play a lot of time in this league. There's a lot of things going on in the game. You know, the last few years, Patriots fans are used to seeing Brandon's school or fly up and down

the field and make a ton of plays. We know he's on NNFI. Not going to be a part of the early season. What's the challenge for you not having a guy like that on the field? Yeah, you really can't replace. You don't replace the guy like that. And it's going to, it's, it's, it's, he's lost. Like, it's tough to, when you game plan, you have a guy like him. It's just easier game plan, right? It's just like having AJ Brown or you haven't Drake May or that's how it is for us on special teams. Like he can, he can do a lot of things where it makes you look better because he's so good. So you know, because of that, we just have to manufacture some roles for guys and get some new guys in there. And at the end of the day, you know, we're going to be playing with younger guys. And that's what's all about. Those guys are going to have to learn. They're going to learn quick. And they're going to have to make up for the slack that, you know, we're going to, we're going to be missing with that having school out there. Is he, is he somebody you guys are expecting me to get back at some point this year or is this unfortunately going to be looked like a law season? I'm not sure. I'm not sure on that. You know, we'll see how the time table goes to that. I just know we don't have a week one. So I thought, all I'm worried about right now is Seattle Prep.

And I know we don't have them. So I'm preparing that we're not going to have them and just going to go full with that. With that Seattle Prep, for you personally, how much have you thought about how you're going to feel when you're out there? First time being back out in a real game and it happens to be the team you guys lost to in the Super Bowl. You're in their house and they're going to be raising that banner in front of you. Like, have you kind of sit expectations for you? Is that something that Mike has talked to the coaching staff at all about like managing your human side of you and your emotions? You know, ever since I've been coaching or even as a player, it doesn't matter the stage. It doesn't matter the game. It could be a scrimmage. Like, I'm always nervous. I'm in a good way. I got anxiety. I'm nervous. I'm thinking about everything. But that's because I care so much. And I know there'll be players that way. There'll be coaches that way. However, they kind of stood it. So there's no really talk about it. Every player is different. Every coach is different how they handle the situation. It's just about preparing. I think at the end of the day, we're preparing for Seattle.

And that's how I'm going to attack it. So that I'm the most prepared on game day. So when things happen or we go through adversity, how do I adjust? How do I coach it? And how do I move on? And that's the kind of the best way I can just put it. It's like, I'm going to prepare my ass off. And however, it shapes out. I'm going to be prepared for the situations. How do you guys are? What's the thought process behind who is and is not the kick returner? How often, let's say Marcus Jones does return ponds versus the ones where he decided not to return? I'm always fascinated to see what teams do and who they decide to return kicks at certain times. I think you know, you always want your best out there. And there's going to be a situation that calls for that. And I think you just got to go with the flow of the game. Every game is different. If we're having a lot more defensive plays or a lot more offense or just to flow the game to diamond distance, those things are all handled. And that's why go back to preparation. You've got to prepare for those things and prepare for things like that. Now, I know on the other side, they're going to have Rashishaheid back there. So I ain't thinking about much about that. I know where they're going to put back there.

He's the guy. He's the pro bowl. He's one of the best in the league. So I'm putting all my focus on prepare for him. And then we'll continue to do what we do here for Marcus and our guys in the back end. Jeremy, you come off as a pretty high energy guy, even just watching you in training camp, but talking to you in these interviews as well. Is there something about being a special team's coordinator that attracts that personality type or is it being in that job that brings that out of you? I just think I just love what I do. I don't know if everybody coaches that way or I think every special team coordinator. I just enjoy what I do. And I think for me to be a better coach, whatever reason, I think the energy part of it is important. I think when I was a player, my short-lived career, I just enjoyed coaches that had really good energy and positive. And I was thinking that way. And this not always that way. I found like on a Tuesday like today, I found a little different than I probably would on a Friday when the whole game plans in. So I'm just all I'm taking about right now. So I'm just a little different feel for it. But again, I go back to just, I want our guys to enjoy being here and love being here.

And I want to coach them as far as I can, but doing it in a positive manner. What's the confidence level in Bore Gales right now? Last year was interesting. He missed a few kicks early. And then was really reliable. And hit a lot of 50 plus yarders. And he seemed like a guy that was pretty nails this year, especially without the starters playing a lot, or at all for off-its-a-defets. We weren't kind of looking in the preseason more on the kickers. And there was the game where he missed a handful of kicks, coach Rae Bull's talking about it afterwards. He did seem to kind of clean that up, both in practice, and the subsequent preseason games. But where are you at right now on Bore Gales? Awful confidence. I love Andy. He does a great job for us. There's Edson Flows for everything as a player, whether you're a kicker or you're a quarterback. And so guys go through Edson Flows, and that's what training comes for. You know what? In training camp, and the failing practice, and the failing some scrimmages, or whatever it may be. I encourage that, because I'm not going to give the best call. I'm not going to coach it the best way. But hopefully by the time we hit the regular season, we've got some stuff out the way, which I know Andy has, and we've cleaned some things up.

And we're rolling. I mean, I'm 110% confidence in Andy being our guy. And I'm going to be more excited for him to see how the season plays out. Keith asked about some of the returners between Kyle Williams and Efton Chisholm. What do you see those two guys being able to provide for you this year? You know, I see it. With those Kyle Chisholm running backs, they all have to have a returner role. And they're all working at that. So it always played out on who's active and active, and you've got to play injuries, and what their role is on offense, and or defense. And you've got to play it that way. And that's what we're doing for pairing. All right, this is our guy. This is our guy. How are we going to return the ball? What kind of returns are best for that person? And you've got to prepare every single one of them. Like, they're going to be the starter, which is what we do now. And it's new kickoff return age, where, you know, it's a lot more physical than people think. And so you have to have guys ready to go. And if a guy gets injured or a guy's out, then you've got to put the next guy in. So I really prepare like, there's a group of starters out there. They all get a lot of reps so that they're all prepared

for the game. All right, Jeremy Springer, special teams coordinator. Thanks for the time today. Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday. And we will talk to you in a few weeks. Good luck against Seattle. Yeah, you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend. I appreciate you guys. All right, thank you, Jeremy Springer. Join us. We got the coordinators back this year. So I believe Josh McDaniels will be up next week, at some point, then Zach Cora, and then back to Jeremy Springer. So very good Patriots Friday. We'll roll on throughout the season. I'll Friday for us, Tuesday for the current Patriots right now. You guys can join the show at 617-7797-93-77. We got grab bag coming up at 130. We'll get back to the Christian Gonzalez-Willey Play or not coming up next week. We'll do that in just two minutes here on WWE. No, no, no. Jones and Keith on WWE. And streaming on WEI.com. All right, thanks to Jeremy Springer and Michael Wannu for joining us here on a Patriots Friday. It's Jones and Keith Mego in for Jones on WWE. We had a caller earlier today asking us a pretty good question.

He's like, what's going to happen first? Gonzo signs an extension or Bill Bell check is out at North Carolina. And like, man, there seems to be more, I would say more momentum towards Bill out at North Carolina than there is Gonzo signing. I would agree with that, but maybe it just feels that way because there's all this breaking news over the last week or so in the UNC program, which is crazy. It would also suggest that they're pretty rapidly building a case to get Bella check out because they don't want to pay out the rest of that contract. Or whatever guarantee does in that contract. Yeah, like I wonder, are they really going to try to keep him or they're going to look to get rid of him or do they just like, they're going to have to fire him at some point. Bill's not going to walk away. Bill's not leaving. He's way too stubborn. Like he is going to stay there until they could get rid of all of his assistants, all of his friends and family members that he brought in there. He's still going to be coaching that team. Yeah, I don't know. I think it's going to get even uglier. I personally don't think he's last the season. I think this is just sort of scratching the surface.

There's going to be more stuff that comes out. It's only going to look worse. And then when you combine it with the fact that the team's not great, you know, it's easier to sort of protect urban Meyer when Florida or Ohio State's going 12 and 0 every year. And you're like, oh, it's going to keep this going if we can. And even then can't do it forever. Right. And these are the people in the program who are seemingly closest to him. He's literally his son and Mike Lombardi who has been his close confidant for years. Yeah. So if you missed it, there was even more that came out. Lombardi resigned. Steve Bell check who's been away from the team. There's these different allegations that he's on drugs. And he was like providing drugs. They also had these recruiting staffers that are sleeping with players and other coaches. And it's like wild times down in Chapel Hill. And it is. I'm talking to the movie The Program, one of the best football movies of all time. I've never seen it. You got to watch it. It's awesome. Who's in it? Uh, let's see. A young Hallibur. A young Hallibur. James Khan is the head coach.

Okay. Uh, who else would that you would know? Mm. Do you know what's one of the worst football movies of all time? Yes, I do. What are we going to say? One, two, three, go on receiver. Oh, everybody's so much better than draft. Yeah, I like draft day. There is a horrendous film. I'll with you. I can't believe someone sat down and wrote that script down. We were doing. We were actually talking about the, uh, like how that all played out. Like the trade that they made Nick, where we talking about the other day. The air doesn't make it. It makes no sense. It is so nonsensical. It's like, fantastical. And then even beyond the stupid football plot that doesn't make any sense, they're like, and there's a secret baby. You're like, you need that part. This movie already doesn't make any sense. When in doubt, secret baby, there's a secret baby for like six-year-old Kevin Costner. Not good. Yeah, no, not good. No, much better movie that involves the draft would be Jerry McGuire. Oh, it's good stuff. That's my favorite movie in the whole world.

Jerry McGuire is your favorite movie of all time. My favorite movie in the whole world. I thought it was Rushmore. No, that's in my top three. School. That's a school movie. Top hot school movie available now at Jones and Keith Twitter Instagram. One of my favorite movies. But yeah, whenever I'm in a really bummed out mood, Jerry McGuire. The movie to watch. Would you consider a rom-com? Yeah, it is. For sure. It's definitely a rom-com. And a full-movie. But I think it has some of the best, like it was very ahead of its time with pro sports. Yeah. And I think it has some of the best, like most realistic football stuff in it. It's pretty good. Rod Tidwell, good end zone dances in there. Fantastic. Yeah, well, I wasn't like, not gonna say any bad things about that movie. That's for sure. But yeah, North Carolina seems like it's kind of a fall in a part if it wasn't already. Meanwhile. Oh, credit is fair today, I'm sure. It really has. I don't think it could be much worse. From the moment he got hired down there and they were so excited about it, they literally referred to themselves as the 33rd NFL team.

Well, that was a lumbar-dism though, right? Yeah, but I'm sure Bill approved that. Yeah, I don't think he took problem with it. Yeah, you have, I mean, look, this is it's stranger than fiction. It could be a great movie script as we talk about this, where you have all this wacky stuff going on. I feel like, and you have the Jordan character who is still an adult cheerleader and competing in beauty patterns in Maine. I think he- That's like the least of their concerns right now. Surprisingly enough. That's the wacky stuff that I find fun, not like sleeping with recruits. Like starts to get a little dark. That was like, he got game, you ever watched that? Yes. So then on top of that though, what I think this needs is some financial crime. Oh, yeah. Get public, Torre on it. I think that then you could really wrap this up with a bow and get everything settled with it. Public Torre, by the way, who ended up being 100% right on the Clippers situation is now turning his attention to the Dodgers. Yes. So he's just going to tear down all of LA. So you listen to some of this today? So I listen to some of this today.

He put out a new episode today, and it was basically, I might get this wrong. Okay. So go and listen for yourself because I'm- Not right now. Not right now. I'm not going to show this because I'm really stupid. And I can't consume all of the financial stuff. There's a lot of numbers of this. There's certain financial terms I can understand. Other ones, once we get into like the dividends and things like, I don't know. I'm lucky I have a 401k set up. But basically it is going after what, how the Dodgers owner even got his money in order to like pay for the team and now all these players. So allegedly, allegedly a thousand times over. What the podcast episode found was that it looks allegedly, allegedly very much like the owner of the Dodgers who just sold the Lakers was using his financial company which was based on the nest eggs

that people were putting into their life insurance or annuities leveraging that money from insurance into his professional teams. Oh boy. Which is extremely illegal if that's where that money was coming from. Like very, very illegal. It also appears that allegedly, allegedly, there may be one of these companies in which Magic Johnson is highly implicated in. Oh boy. So Mark Walters, the name of the Dodgers owner, right? I think it's Mark Walters. Yes. Who just sold the Lakers after having them for under two years? Yeah, or like whatever part of the Lakers, right? Because it was with the bus family and all that. But whatever, that's a whole mess too. But so I don't know, based on what happened with the Clippers and Steve Balmer and they just got Doc five first round picks, 30 million dollars, they suspended a few people, Pawl Torrey's like sniffing into your stuff like you're probably in trouble. Like he's not like picking this on like maybe I'll find something.

Okay, here's your. A few of those out there, like maybe I'll find something and then you never even hear about it. This I'm sure he's got a ton of, he clearly by the sound of it. What I think is interesting is the response to the Pawl Torrey side of this because it's somebody who's like worked in a couple of different avenues of media, SICK rag. Yeah. Like I saw Curtis from the morning show, tweet out that the ESPN's response to the Pawl Torrey Clipper story where ESPN basically quoted what the NBA said. Oh, yeah, well sounds like there's nothing there. Yeah. And now comes out there. They're all waiting there. That's a lot. Punishing the Clippers. Yeah. And Curtis's feeling was this is ESPN citing with the NBA, that's where their money is. And that's certainly been the way the different media outlets sometimes work because they have rights to different. Oh, yeah, be careful what you say. It's certain places. That definitely can be the case. But I think the bigger part of this is like, there is a real thirst for investigative journalism into this stuff.

And I think that a lot of media outlets take that for granted because when you hear investigative journalism, it sounds boring. And like, oh, big investigation, financial documents, people talking off the record. And it takes a long time. And it's like, well, we could have somebody who's just a big personality and they do a talk show every day. Yeah, right. So let's just do that. Though this I agree in, and maybe because there used to be more, for lack of a better, there used to be more Pawl Torrey's in there now. And now he's kind of like on his own. Was that ESPN? Yeah, right. But there wasn't really an avenue for him to do this. So he goes out and he's, he's why he's under the Dan Lebitard umbrella now. Sounds right. I mean, I don't know what, yeah, if they host his podcast or whatever, but it's mainly this podcast. But like, people like True Crime, people like The Rise and the Fall of Celebrities and Famous People. It's so like, it is. And I do think that there's a side of it that people want to see if they feel like their professional sports team that they have loyalty to is being mismanaged. Or something sketchy is going on.

They want it to be held accountable because they don't want bad things like five first round picks to be stripped from the team. Yeah. Oh, that's true. Because of the way that the owner is operating. It is a crazy story. So if I'm a Dodger stand right now, I'd be prepared for something to happen there. I don't know what's gonna happen. I mean, they might not even be baseball all the next season. So maybe these penalties will have to wait. We'll see. This is why there's gonna be a salary cap. Thanks a lot Mark Walter and Pawl Torrey. And Magic Johnson. That's true. Throw him his name on the list as well. Allegedly. A good point. I'm glad you said that. Yeah. Alright, you could join us 61777937. We will do our Bragg of the Week nominees in place of Clip to Shore today. Cause we're talking on one new and springer. So we will get to the Bragg of the Weeks in a little bit. But come on next time for grab back. Say I couldn't tell you the show that's taking place with USA today. Jones and Keith wins the race. Co-deep in the scoops. Yeah. Drop, God's drops a tight.

Too many eye tests. Bob your eyes aren't right. Jones gets in John Halama. We had him two weeks ago. Don't you remember? We built this grab bag. We built this grab bag on the Jones and Keith's show. We built this grab bag. Oh, we built this grab bag on the Jones. We built this grab bag on the Jones and Keith's show. No matter where you work from these days. Take Jones and Keith with you on the Odyssey app. Favorite, QLEEI. Alright, from the catch's law, injury attorney's studio is no fee unless you win. It is Jones and Keith here on a Patriots Friday. Mego is in for Jones. And grab bag is brought to you by Awaken 180 weight loss. The Boston Red Sox are back in the action again today. Mego, taking on your Baltimore Orioles. Okay. 705 first pitch. I mean, 605 pregame right here on WEEI.

Ranger Suarez on the mound versus Shane Baz. But we had a few callers to point out and I agree with them. Kind of the big start for Ranger Suarez. Just like you want to see something positive here. I know he's got really good playoff. See some innings. Right. He has not gone deep into games. He's gotten hit around a little bit. His ERA is close to six for the month of August. So can you put that behind him and give him a good performance here tonight? I hope so. Something like a quality start. I think would go far for them, especially if to the theory that you had that I like earlier that Adley Rutchman going against these pitchers. Yeah. There's not much more that he could know about them. So if you're getting some nice offense from him, Roman Anthony keeps doing what he's been doing. Maybe you got a little more Mickey gasp or magic out there. That'd be good. They should be able to win the series. Well speaking of my sports book where I live and pick of the week Red Sox win Roman Anthony run Mickey gasper hit Adley Rutchman RBI, which really all happened in the first inning.

Except for the win that they got to play nine for that plus 470. There you go. People are pretty fired up about that one, I would say the people people are fired up. I'll give it a lot of feedback on that. Mostly positive feedback. I would say a lot of feedback on my idea that the United States gave the Eiffel Tower to Paris. You gave it that way. What? No, it was a get I'm talking about the statue. Well, she didn't say another country in there. So it's fine. That's true. And then we had a whole debate about the statue of liberty and how many there are in the same size and all that. If there's one, there's a very little in a go. There's a petite one in Paris. I'd like to see that. A petite lady statue lady. There's the Eiffel Tower. Yeah. Oh, it is. Which is crazy. Yeah. It's like in the same. All these pictures of the Eiffel Tower, whether Wilson, you're not. I have been there. And I don't remember looking at it. Wow. Wait, Printer. I don't know. Have you never been to Paris? Me? Yeah. You never been to Paris? I mean, I've been there. Who's been to Paris? What do you mean? Like, you said people just go to Paris? Yeah, it's not a crazy destination.

Kind of. Over 30 to a bit. You speak French. Paris once. We. Okay. Oh, petite. Oh, look at that. Oh, we can ask Brian if there's a statue of liberty next to the Eiffel Tower. Really? Really we're Brian. Yeah, he's really Paris. I think we can try to get him in the same trip to Paris. See? That seems awesome. Total Wellesley bro over there. That's what we thought too. Is that what it is? It is. He is. Is it Wellesley bro? He is Wellesley bro. He's a Wellesley bro. He's a Wellesley bro. Good. Good for him. I can't believe you think it's crazy to have been to France. Billy, I'm going to France. I know. Okay. Okay. I'm not like some tremendous snob. I haven't been that many places. I didn't say you're tremendous snob. I'm never going to London. I don't. Listen, I never said you were a tremendous snob. I did think it's. That you don't know about the country since you were a great snob. I never said you were a great snob. I never said you were a great snob. It was like that because I thought that people would have gone to France. When I had never had never been... It's like most of it. Oh, same thing. I've never been a quarterback. You're scoffed. It's a huge snob.

That's because you didn't get invited. I've never left North America. Yeah, but you left the country three times or twice before that. Canada counts. I think North America got a count. Well, you said you're the only country in the country first. I said I hardly ever left the country. How many continents have you been to? Oh great question. I think I've been to three No, I have a seven that's crazy Antartica is crazy. That'd be cool. It's awesome. I'd go Antarctica. I definitely go to Antarctica Yeah, where does the thing take place? I love I love the thing. Things awesome I The thing is one of my favorite like snowstorm movies great one. However, oh Nobody told me people are like watch the thing watch the thing because I wanted to watch a movie hadn't seen before last Halloween No one told me it's a dog movie Yeah, and I have a Siberian Husky. Yeah, looks very similar. So I was really close to home It's tough. We're like kind of watching you looking at our sideways like we had our dog the thing for the next six months

We're like look at her. Oh, no, she's watching us. Anyway, this is a long detour. I'm sorry. No, that's fine I love the grab back. I found I love one sent almost completely She's in love with the grab back, but sometimes these feelings can be so misleading She turns and says it's shown's alright. I said he must be fine because keep us still breathing So I'm kissing by the river said yeah grab back says it's fine. He don't consider it cheating now You're kissing the grab back. He's told Peyton told you we were married. So who knows? All right, they all bets are off at this point College football You see this one from yesterday you mass. Yes, you mass with a W tremendous unreal They were massive underdogs in the game and then they yeah, they came out and defeated Rucker So tough day for the McCordys 3721 your final Where weren't they just ranked by the athletic as like the one hundred thirty second? Oh you college program

They most thought they were the worst team in D. I think it was out of like 180 or something. Yeah, I don't know They were very very low for sure, and I was kind of surprised they weren't lower, but good for them got a big W Pretty good This weekend, let's see what games jump out. I got Miami Stanford. I guess my image rank seventh USC 14th versus Fresno Mmm, oh, I'm a soft. No, but he's laid out. I would agree. That's the way till next week Sun we live in a world that has bags and those bags have to be grabbed by men with hands Who's gonna do it? Jones you lieutenant rich keef I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about it parties You want me grabbing bag you need me grabbing bag Adam chef tweeted out earlier today one year after Bill Bell check that denied entry in his first year of eligibility The pro football Hall of Fame has overhauled its selection process ahead of the 2027 election

And now sort of like a standalone It was only link or anything. It just the overall did it say what it was no But it sounds like it's no details. No It sounds like they're gonna reduce the number of selectors and The elimination of the separate seniors category in the voting process. So Drop got it said what they're going from 50 down to 28 50 to 20 is what I saw I mean, he'll get in this year There was such a there was such a outcry last year I was at UNC well Pro football Hall of Fame Pro football Hall of Fame has nothing to do with it really no, well no What do you mean you think he's gonna go to prison? No, he's gonna lose his job Who knows maybe a tough speed they already took about once what would stop him doing it again? Yeah, they did keep mouth wants that's true, but I think he gets in for you right? And maybe next time something maybe we're gonna follow the story a little bit further It's getting kind of worse by the day. So maybe there'll be some more stuff coming out

Grab bag Grab bag. Oh, I apologize. I played that one last time you were here And I think it reminded you of your where you live So sorry Sorry about that. Oh my god. I didn't mean to it. I really didn't mean to I'm just I'm he's a random that's terrible. I live in a wonderful neighborhood, and I love it. Okay You Grab bag All right, we have an update on the Jones and Keith fantasy football B league so A lot of people want to be in the Jones and Keith a league and we've decided this year that the punishment is gonna be Religation so the worst team and the league is gonna be kicked out and the winner of this league is gonna be promoted up

So during one of the breaks I did a draft lottery. So this is twitch Mitch. This is Zach Josh dice College Tom they're all in this league as well as I think seven other listeners. There's 12 total people I have gotten a few messages inviting me to this league. I have you invited very much I actually I don't sports gamble. Okay, so you declined so I declined you declined Jackson thought it was beneath him because he just wanted to be right into the a league as we told him he could be in the B league he's like well, I'm gonna be in that. I'm like well, then you'll never be lady. I guess you'll never be in the league Meanwhile, twitch Mitch is offering $500 to anybody that can beat him He's like losing his mind about it. He's all fired up. So anyway, did the draft lottery we tweeted that out? So those guys could see that This is something that we have to discuss in your mind I know you don't play fantasy football, but in your mind What would be the worst team would it be the team with the worst record or the fewest points? Ooh Me and Jones are split on this. I'm gonna say fewest points. That's what I say. I think that's the true worst team in my mind Because you might just have buzzards luck in lose. It's not real football. It's fantasy football

So if you lose every week 120 to 100 and then another team's out there and they they win a couple games like 60 to 50 Like who's really the better? Okay, so you and I agree I'm with you. Okay, very good Sticking Our new daily question here in the grab bag has Christian Gonzalez signed his contract extension yet. No, nope Putting the X rated into X these guys are stupid has Bob Ryan tweeted all right another important question has the great Bob Ryan tweeted Yes, he has Panadol tweeted out what is it? Huh? Well, he finds these somehow. Okay, penadol road only sharp eyes will get it right What's wrong in this picture? So it is an AI generated picture? What's in the picture? It's a man reading the newspaper with a bowl scrambled eggs and orange juice a cereal and a coffee on his table

Behind him is a clock and a calendar and in the outside window there is a snowman Now the calendar does say July oh Yeah, that's not the biggest the front though. It's gonna let him a cereal get soggy That's really one thing wrong or is this multiple answers because is it like oh it looks like it's daylight outside But the clock says something else. Yeah, good one. So it says 815 but that could be 815 in the morning because of this sunlight out Bob wrote snowman in July question mark maybe hoping for a response. He is sharp I would also say there's no utensils. So it's a bowl cereal no spoon and there's a big play to eggs no fork We can just slide those eggs right down You open your mouth up wide use your hands. Yeah back to the newspaper back to the eggs back to the newspaper You could do that rip off some of the newspapers pick up some of those eggs Hawk on Twitter also said agree or disagree the NBA is better than the 1990s than it is today But I think most of you would agree with that Different I mean the 90s also had like an NBA finals game that was like 70 to 50 right

It's just whenever I talk to people because I adore love Stand by the NBA through everything. Yeah, yeah, yeah, whenever I talk to people about why they don't like me Like well, I liked it in the 90s, you know, I think that's when it was a lot more physical Like that I mean that's more nostalgia because I also like growing up like love basketball in the 90s But it's a lot of like like when the nicks played the heat like people love that They're just like tackling each other and they're not scoring any points Bob said go back a decade the 80s were totally enjoyable Mania had not taken root people ran with intelligence then something happened the 90s were a slog I agree the 90s kind of were a slog. I still like prop up Michael Jordan is the grace of all time But the 90s were a slug Bob then did multiple eye tests Uh, we're he was trying to find the magic number Oh, let's see Celtics performances tweeted who is your favorite Celtics role player of all time. Oh, he's gonna have a good answer for this Bob said nobody like hambone He said and then finally fast break hoops tweeted out a meme that said true or false

Penny hardaway could have become a top five point guard ever Okay, well true false. That's not like a true or false. That's just like an opinion right that's not there's no Well true or false he could have Basin the book of facts Bob said true. Oh, okay. Yeah, well he says it. I agree with that Grab bags Oh All right, so let's find out who the best baseball performer was from yesterday mega was it Carter Jensen three for four The home run three rbi's three runs scored was it Adley Rutchman two for four two home runs three runs scored Was it Julio Rodriguez one for four two rbi a run and three steals Was it Kevin Gowsman seven innings one earned nine thank you nine K's or Cal Quantral seven

Scorlis seven with five K's oh You know what I'm gonna give it to Adley okay because that's what we need to see more of from him and sure He's very comfortable down in Camden. Mm-hmm. We need to see some part of this version of Adley Going forward seeking it offense for the pussies and It's time for Jones and Keves random It's like the moon yes Curtis let's get it baseball player of the day All right Jones out today so drop got has the player what do we got all right? Well, we have a former relief pitcher Through from the right side and when asked what hit from the right side Oh was asked because he had one hit in his career good for him broken in 05 with the pirates Hung it up with the twins in 2012 one time all star mark mylanson no no johanrihan He had 42 saves in 2010 which was his all star year or he actually split times between two teams

He was a national and a twin. I think he was a national for the all star shagcordero Nope This guy when he threw would hop off the mound that is a different Hop off the mound. Yep. John Rausch. Nope. If he would push off the mound do little hops who's closer to the plate Is that allowed I could see the gift of this guy doing it, but I can't hop off the mound Tyler clippard nope Come on. I don't see his agents were rep one baseball all right. That's previously of arm tell him I'm trying to look at the twitch chat For a I'm scared to save. Oh, yeah, they they're trying to they're trying to trap it isn't there though So wait he was a one time all star who's in all star with the nationals and then he would later get traded to the twins It looks like the nationals all star man He said his law of saves, but he finished all lot of games. He was a closer. Okay, I think a set up guy Ah man that's frustrating. Let me take a look at the twitch chat. It's up to 64 strike out in 07

I can't really shut This there's a lot of caps. Hey got it Would not have gotten that Yeah, he threw the ball. He would like push off the mound and jump out of the foot man. I forget that guy. I think you did big dog show sure that's like in the open talks about it alive Yeah, so he was a two-time volleyball captain and was on the first ever captain Which I feel like he shouldn't say I think I take away from Being captain if they just put the team together that year.
